    Amazing venue!

    We had our reception 11/05/22 at St. Clarence Pavilion! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! So so so many compliments on the food and bar service! Lucy and the Ahern staff went above & beyond to help make our day so special! We were a little nervous about picking the food since we only got to try a few things.. BUT HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Bourbon Chicken, beef tips w/burgundy wine sauce (comes with rice pilaf too), the roasted red pepper pasta, parsley potatoes, and green beans w/bacon. IT WAS ALL SO DELICIOUS! & we took SO MUCH home! We had quite the party/drinking crowd and there was never a line at the bar! The bartenders Ahern provided were AMAZING! We are truly so grateful to have gotten to work with all of you, you helped make this the best day of our lives!! Thank you thank you! Love, the Halkos!

    Great Venue!

    Planning a wedding is stressful, planning a wedding during Covid is something else. Thank you Lucy for being so helpful! Our night was perfect! The food and service was great! St. Clarence was the perfect venue. It's a large space and also has doors to a deck that we were able to open up. We had guests that felt more comfortable being outside and they could still be part of the reception.

    We had the most amazing wedding!

    We had the most amazing wedding, and all thanks to the amazing venue of St Clarence Pavilion, and Aherns catering. Lucy and her team were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They were extremely hands on during the entire event, and helped us with anything we needed. The food was incredible, and we heard so many wonderful remarks from our guests! If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely have the Aherns team right along with us!

    Great wedding venue!

    Our wedding on 09.14.19 was a perfect one! We had 240 guests and we fit wonderfully in the larger sized ballroom. We had plenty of room for our photo booth, dessert tables (we needed two), and gift tables without making the room look crowded. The food was excellent and we had great reviews from the guests. Lucy made planning very easy. I especially appreciated the phone call a few weeks before the wedding where we go through everything, down to the exact time I wanted dinner served. Lucy also did a great job helping us keep on task the day of. Everything was much more hectic than I was anticipating, so we were running a little behind schedule, but all was well in the end! All the guests were served and had eaten in under an hour, which I found impressive considering the numbers we had. Our guests also made a mention that the bartenders were very quick to serve all night. Even when lines were long to get drinks everything moved quickly. Of note, my favorite part about Ahern's is their large wood dance floor. It fit all our guests and was a perfect dancing space right in the middle of the reception hall. Ahern's was also the caterer for our rehearsal dinner at Avon Oak's. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had a generous buffet with many choices for the guests. All in all, would recommend Ahern's as a wedding venue, and would definitely recommend as a caterer if that's all you're looking for!!

    I had my wedding reception in the Burke room in September. I cannot say enough good things about this venue! From the moment we went to see it we knew this is where we wanted to have our reception. The food is AMAZING! Usually you don't hear that about wedding food, but I have had nothing but compliments on our wedding. Lucy is awesome to work with and she will do all she can to make sure your day is prefect! Do your self a favor and check this venue out! You won't be disappointed! If I had to plan a wedding again (never again!) I would keep going back to Ahern's. Thank goodness for word of mouth. Also, if you have anyone with dietary issues/ restrictions Lucy and her team go above and beyond to accommodate to those, even if its making a separate meal just for them!

    Several friends of ours from our church have gotten married at St. Clarence and after seeing the lights and decor, I knew I had to get married there. Lucy was so easy to work with and emailed back so quickly! Planning everything was a breeze. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had.     After looking at venues from West to East, we found this gem by word of mouth from a friend and are so happy we stumbled upon them. Ahern's did our catering at one of their offsite venues-Saint Clarence Pavilion. From the beginning, Lucy was pleasant to deal with and always prompt with her responses. She made the whole planning process a breeze and gave us tips along the way to help us in any way we could. The price was hands down the best and our guests can't stop RAVING about the food and how beautiful the venue was. From start to finish it was stress-free and the best night ever!!! I would choose Ahern's and Saint Clarence again and again!!!

    We recently had our wedding (May, 2015) catered by Ahern's catering. It was not held at their banquet center but, at an outside venue. (St. Clarence Pavilion) Our guests RAVED about our food! At around $30 a plate you really can not go wrong with Ahern's. The menu is typical wedding food but, they were more than willing to work with us to find a menu that we desired for our special day. Lucy was absolutely wonderful to work with in both person and over email. We found the best way to communicate was via email as she was very quick to respond and willing to help in all matters. Our menu was burbon chicken, top round with mushroom sauce, roasted red bowtie pasta (a fan favorite!), green beans with bacon sauce, and roasted redskin potatoes.

    Not only do they provide great food they also provide wonderful service. They provided our special diet family members with special food at no extra cost. They also lit all of our candles for us (we had a TON) and would have lined up all name cards for us if we would have had them.

    I would use their services again in a heartbeat! Thank you Ahern's & Lucy for making our special day so delicious!

    I can't say enough good things about Ahern's! Our May 23, 2015 wedding was held in the Ashford Hall! The hall is updated and a real show stopper! It fit our 250 guests perfectly! Lucy was so accommodating! I knew she was always a phone call away and she never got irritated with all my phone calls and questions! We were able to come in the Friday before the wedding and set everything up--huge stress relief! The reception went so smoothly and our guests raved about the food! The food was so affordable ($30/plate buffet style) and so delicious! had a beautiful fruit & veggie appetizer display and for our dinner menu we served bourbon chicken, top round with mushroom sauce, roasted red bow tie pasta, green beans with bacon sauce, and redskin garlic mashed potatoes! Included was also a coffee/pastry station! To make it even better we were able to take all of our leftovers home--we had a ton! I would recommend Ahern's to anyone--you won't be disappointed!!!

    Our wedding reception was at Ahern's in Burke Hall and it was great. We wanted something all-inclusive and Ahern's offered it all. Lucy, the event coordinator, was great to work with and very helpful. She sometimes doesn't respond immediately to emails, but don't worry - she is always there to help. The Hall is updated and has nice lighting and windows so we barely did any decorations (which was a relief). I dropped our few boxes of decorations off on Thursday and Lucy and her staff set everything up for us on Saturday morning which was a huge stress reliever. The food was good and the drinks were flowing. When the bridal party arrived and was seated, Lucy came up to us and asked if we needed drinks. The servers and bartenders were so helpful and polite throughout the evening. At one point in the night, part of my dress snagged on to another part and one of the bartenders noticed and helped me cut the thread! All the guests complimented the hospitality Ahern's offered. And of course, the prices were extremely reasonable. I did A LOT of research!

    We got SO MANY compliments on the food at our wedding! The variety and presentation of the food was beyond our expectations! I would highly recommend Ahern's Catering to any one!

    We have received so many compliments on our banquet center and on the dinner they served! We opted for a formal sit-down dinner and the food was amazing. The hall is absolutely beautiful, and the center was very easy to work with in coordinating the day. I would highly recommend this site and caterer if you are looking for high quality.

    Lucy did a phenomenal job and always answered my many, many questions promptly. Ahern is the point of contact for all St. Clarence facilities. The moment I saw the indoor/outdoor pavilion I knew that’s where we’d have our reception. It is very rustic looking, but when you dress it up for a wedding (white tablecloths, chair covers, white fabric/lights, etc.) it looks amazing. We got so many compliments on it and it is so roomy – it’s just your reception in the standalone building. All of the doors come off to the deck so people can go outside as well. And when it’s dark and only the strung white lights are on above it is magical :) Ahern’s food was great (buffet) – we had top round carved beef, champagne chicken, Pasta with Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce, and the usual salad/rolls/potatoes/veggies. The food was probably some of the best wedding food I’ve had. You can also bring your own liquor for your reception. We had a full open bar and Ahern provided the bar wash. The servers and bartenders all did a great job. Their prices are pretty in line with other area reception venues, but with being able to bring your own liquor you can really save some $. I loved the St. Clarence Pavilion and it was a PERFECT place for a wedding reception. If you’re interested in an outdoor-type venue, this is a nice middle ground (stand-alone building, but doors open to deck overlooking a wooded area). There is no air conditioning, but with the big ceiling fans on and doors open, the temperature was perfect. As a side note – I went and dropped off items at the Pavilion the day before (centerpiece items for Finishing Touch to set up, guest book/frame, candles for tables outside, card box, cake cutting stuff, bathroom basket, etc.). I did a quick walk through and looked in all areas – there were some random items in the back nook by the fireplace…if you have your reception here, try to go the day before and take a quick peek through for random items – I just moved them to the back room behind the bar area.

    Got married in Wyoming, then came back to Ohio for a "western" themed reception at St. Clarence. Used the golf-outing food: ribs, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, etc. Guests are still talking about the food 6 months later!!

    This was our wedding reception venue. Let me start by saying that we were planning this from out of town and could meet or be in the space regularly. During the event the good was incredible. Very high reviews on the grilled salmon with dill, and the grilled veggies. The roasted red pepper pasta is the way to go! Remember wherever you book the event, white sauces tend to be bland, because of the volume that they make it in. Because of that, we chose and were recommended during the tasting to choose the red pepper pasta. It was very very tasty. Bathrooms were clean at all times, and the bartenders were easy and accommodating. The wait and service staff were very good. Always making sure we were happy and asked where things needed to go, and when things were happening to be flexible as things changed throughout the night time wise for us with the reception. The reason we gave 4 stars in two sections were as follows: communication. We planned this about 9 hours away so it was challenging to schedule tastings, drop bys, planning meetings. Let me be clear that one wasn't bad communication, just difficult.

    This location was AMAZING. The hall has lights already strung, full glass window and door surround, a fireplace and is one giant open room. There is plenty of room to set up for a large amount of guests and still have a large dance floor and easy bar access. We were also able to bring in any type of candle as long as it had a base of some sort. It was everything we were looking for in our reception venue.

    When I first started working with the caterer you have to work with, I was very nervous because the initial response time was slow. I met face-to-face with the point of contact which was very helpful. It all worked out in the end and the food was absolutely perfect.

    One drawback, I was told we would have to move all of the tables back into place if we change them, which was actually not true. I did not find out until the evening of the reception when we were exhausted and trying to move huge wooden tables back into place. Also, I don't think the chicken we ended up with was actually what we had requested, but it was also delicious and we received tons of compliments. The appetizers were great (I heard) and the staff served desserts & cut and boxed the cake. The serving staff was WONDERFUL.

    My major complaint about the hall is the chairs. They are metal and many were rusted and I heard a guest had a cracked chair. Although I was surprised to find out that the head/parent tables were set with a padded brown chair, they were ripped and in poor condition. This was a huge disappointment. The hall does allow you to bring in your own chairs, but the cost was prohibitive for us and we did not want to have to set them up and take them down. The metal and padded chairs actually would have been okay if they had been in better condition. We also had to pay to get access to the hall the day before to set up - this seemed silly after all we were spending to rent the hall.

    I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION even though I have highlighted the negatives. Think they are important for making your decision.
