It was nothing short of a fairy tale brought to life, and I owe it all to the extraordinary efforts of Rita James, the manager of special events. From the moment we started planning, Rita's expertise and genuine passion for her work shone through, and she took our dreams and turned them into an unforgettable reality.

The food was an absolute delight, leaving our guests raving about the delectable dishes for weeks after the event. Rita and her team ensured that every culinary detail was flawlessly executed, leaving our taste buds dancing with joy. The communication throughout the entire planning process was seamless, and Rita's warm and attentive approach made us feel like we were her top priority, even though I know she handles countless events.

I must commend Rita for her exceptional patience and professionalism, as I bombarded her with countless questions, anxieties, and last-minute changes. But she handled everything with grace and ensured that no detail was left unattended. She truly made the entire journey leading up to our big day stress-free and enjoyable.

But the magic didn't stop with Rita; it permeated every corner of Agnes Scott College's stunning campus. The beauty of the surroundings added an ethereal touch to the atmosphere, creating an ambiance that made our hearts skip a beat. The team at Agnes Scott College orchestrated a seamless transformation of the venue, leaving us and our guests in awe as we walked into the exquisitely adorned room.

The wedding was so phenomenal that many of our guests are already requesting a "part two" in the form of a vow renewal celebration! And you know what? I can't blame them! Agnes Scott College and its exceptional staff have become like family to us, and we are already contemplating returning to relive those magical moments once again.

From the start of touring Agnes Scott, we had a great experience. The venue is gorgeous. We used the Letitia Pate Hall for our ceremony & reception and it was breathtaking. No one believed the space is actually the students dining hall. The best of all was the staff, especially Rita James. She was a humongous help during the entire process. We had a large wedding with a lot of moving pieces but it was handled with ease. Our wedding was a huge success and I give so much thanks to Rita and the Agnes Scott staff. Also let me not forget, the food was amazing. We had the catfish and cajun chicken, absolutely delicious. I'll be returning just for the food.

Agnes Scott was absolutely everything we wanted it to be. The venue itself is stunning. The chapel is gorgeous. Letitia Pate Evans Hall is straight out of a fairy tale. Beyond the aesthetics, what made our wedding was the Agnes Scott Staff.

Rita, event coordinator extraordinaire, had our backs from the beginning. She answered every question she had with grace, kindness, and immediacy. We knew we were in good hands. Every single member of the Agnes Scott staff took care of us on our wedding day. They looked out for us. They asked how we were doing and how they could help. They became members of our family for a day. They celebrated with us. If I could hug each of them, I would.

The place is stunning. The people are beautiful. And the food? My friend, you've never eaten so well. The Chef is a culinary master. We're still talking about the food.

When I say getting married at Agnes Scott was a dream come true, I mean it sincerely. The venue, the people, the food - the big 3 of a wedding event were all taken care of. Best of all, we knew we were taken care of by Agnes Scott. I am so grateful we chose to get married here. I highly recommend it.

Rita, Chef Mario, and the entire staff at Agnes Scott College are incredible. The food was unbelievably good, there are so many options to choose from with all sorts of price points, the venue is stunning (both the chapel and the reception hall), and the entire staff is wonderful. This was a heavily delayed covid wedding and Rita was so flexible, generous, and responsive even as I pushed the date THREE times over 20 months. Rita answered all of my questions so quickly and thoroughly and made me feel informed the entire time (I am over-the-top with my planning, so that was so amazing for me).

We wound up with a November 13th date and the entire campus was stunning, the foliage was absolutely breathtaking, and the photos are incredible. My guests all gushed over the food, venue, and campus (and Decatur in general!). It was so convenient to get to Agnes Scott from downtown Decatur square where all my guests stayed, and they loved all the restaurants and bars to check out and how they didn't need to rent a car to get around.

In short, have your wedding here -- I promise you will not regret it! And thank you one more time to Rita, truly a delight to work with.

Working with Rita James, the special events coordinator at Agnes Scott College, was a pleasure. She kept the experience of planning our wedding reception at my alma mater stress free, convenient, and fun. She is kind, professional, responsive, good natured, and made sure I felt special and well taken care of as an alumna. My mother loved her, and my husband was very impressed. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we had to postpone the wedding and reschedule. That decision was painstaking and anxiety producing, but ASC worked with me and was very flexible and understanding. We didn’t lose any money and didn’t have to start the planning process over. A year later, we picked up where we left off, and Rita made it happen. She worked well with my wedding planner. I highly recommend that the bride and bridal party stay on campus at the Alumnae House the night before the wedding; for me, doing so made the wedding day relaxing and go so smoothly. Evans Dining Hall is a beautiful venue, the catered food was delicious, the staff and security very professional, and our professional photos stunning! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day, and a huge reason for that perfection is because of Agnes Scott College. Thank you!

Mrs Rita was beyond great! She was so helpful and answered every question we had. I would definitely recommend this venue. It is gorgeous, only reason we decided not to go with it was because it was a little far from where we live.

Working with Agnes Scott was the best decision I’ve ever made. They made the planning process, the behind-the-scenes process, and the wedding the best day of our lives. It is definitely a night to remember and for the history books. We got married in October and as of this day, we are still getting calls of how great our wedding was. And that’s all thanks to the wonderful staff at Agnes Scott. It is definitely a hidden gem in Decatur, and you won’t go wrong using this location for your wedding. The food is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any option that you choose will satisfy your guest's appetite. The attention to detail with the food is out of this world. They took their time to make sure that the menu was what we wanted. When we had our tasting, I wanted a box to go (lol). The venue screams elegance and class and that's what we wanted.The staff on our wedding day was like a family. They made sure that we did not have to look for anything, want anything. or stress about anything. From the young lady who drove the golf cart to the wait staff to the bartenders, it literally was our dream wedding. And for the icing on the cake, Mrs. Rita James, she is a gem. She knows her craft and knows how to handle any situation that may arise so the bride and groom can enjoy their day. They pay attention to the little things that make the biggest impact on the bride and groom. We had guests to come from far and wide and everyone (and I do mean everyone) raved about the venue. I look at our wedding pictures all the time and think of how special our day was. We cannot thank the staff and Mrs. Rita for making our wedding one for the history books.

The staff was nothing short of amazing on the wedding day. Everyone was extremely helpful and working to fulfill our and our guests needs by anticipating them ahead of time. Mrs. Rita was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. The food was amazing. We opted for an option that isn’t really even an option, but Mrs. Rita and the catering manager made an exception for us. Agnes Scott is a wonderful wedding venue! My daughter’s ceremony in the Julia Smith Thompson chapel was beautiful. The Frank Lloyd Wright inspired wood, glass, and brick structure was charming, both cozy and elegant (two descriptions that typically don’t go together). The cocktail hour in the Alumnae Garden was refreshing and beautiful. There was plenty of room on the terrace for guests who chose to sit and for the jazz trio. When the guests moved into Letitia Pate Evans Hall with its Gothic architecture and magnificent windows, our up-lights, candles, and high and low floral arrangements transformed the hall into a gorgeous area for a buffet and seated dinner and a spacious dance floor. The catering service at Agnes Scott was excellent, and catering director Pete Miller was most helpful. Our only difficulty was deciding which items to choose from a wide array of sampling choices. All of our guests admired the beautiful setting, the delicious food, and excellent service throughout the event. At Agnes Scott, when you rent Evans, you don’t rent only the event hall; you have access to both upper and lower levels. This provided areas for the bridal party to get ready and to store valuables, an area for child-care, and a fall back area for the cocktail hour if rain had come. I was truly able to relax, knowing that all bases were covered. Rita James of the event staff was very easy to work with throughout the process. One thing that impressed me from the beginning and that was very different from other venues we researched: Agnes Scott was completely transparent in how much every detail would cost. There were no surprises. Everything except for the bride’s cake, music, photography, and floral and décor was included, and all prices were most reasonable for excellent quality. We were impressed and delighted to have discovered Agnes Scott as a wedding venue.

Agnes Scott College is absolutely beautiful! We had our wedding ceremony at the chapel, cocktail hour and reception at the dinning hall. The food was DELICIOUS!!! All our guest were so impressed! All the staff at the colleges are very helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. Great venue with great value! We are so glad we choose to get married at Agnes Scott!!

First my husband and I would like to begin to say how Agnes Scott College was such a treasure. Starting with Mrs. Rita James, she is the Wedding Specialist at this venue and may I must say she will always be apart of our family. She made sure from the beginning to the day after the wedding that we were satisfied and received nothing but the best. Sure you probably would say well this is part of her job but trust when I say she exceeded her job description and it was 100 percent genuine. Pete, the director of food services, made sure our entire family left raving about the food. The food was seriously on a next level. I have been to several weddings over my years, even one at the Sears Tower and their food was nothing compared to Agnes Scott College. Lastly, the venue is a photographer dream. My photographer Darryl Ogletree stated, "this was the best venue he has been to his entire time as a photographer", so this speaks volumes.

So if you are in search for a venue to have your dream wedding, your search is over!

Agnes Scott is a beautiful wedding venue. The grounds and buildings provide a beautiful, photogenic backdrop for any time of year and Evans Hall is simply magical! The best part about events at Agnes Scott is the customer service. Rita and the event staff at Agnes Scott are professional, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Rita offers great advice and useful suggestions to clients when planning their wedding/event and is extremely helpful when it comes making logistical plans using the many sites on the campus (e.g. for weddings: getting ready rooms for brides, grooms and their attendants, ceremony, cocktail hour site and reception hall). She is always friendly and really seems to care about each and every event she works on. The service team and bartenders are top notch! The food at Agnes Scott is amazing! Presentation is beautiful! I would definitely recommend Agnes Scott to brides and grooms or anyone needing to plan a large event.

Great venue for our daughters wedding. Everything at Agnes Scott was great. The chapel was perfect, and the reception and dinner in the dinning hall could not have been better. The staff at Agnes Scott did everything they could to make everything just right. The buildings at Agnes Scott are magnificent as well as the facilities and the staff !!

I always enjoy working with Rita and the staff at Agnes Scott. The venue is hands down one of my favorites to refer my clients to. Not only is the venue beautiful to get married in, but the customer service from Rita and the staff is unmatched. They are very pleasant, and helpful and gracious during the entire planning process, and on the wedding day. The food from the catering team is VERY delicious too! I am currently planning another wedding here now and I highly recommend this venue. Lastly, the free parking for your guests and your ability to provide your own alcohol are major perks that can't be found at most venues.

This wedding venue was amazing. I was so happy with my wedding and the days leading up to my wedding. The staff was amazing. So professional and they took care of everything that I needed. Scott and the entire staff at Agnes Scott were tremendous! Evans Hall, the site of our dinner/dancing reception, is one of the best kept secrets in all of Atlanta. The grounds and facility is gorgeous, the staff extremely professional, the food delicious....the entire evening went so well and all guests commented on what a wonderful wedding reception! I cannot more highly recommend Agnes Scott for your next event, whether it be a wedding or any other event!! Check them out!!!

Scott was easy to work with and made everything absolutely fabulous for our wedding day. All our guests were completely impressed.

Scott was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made the whole process easy and fun for me, and helped immensely with tough decisions like the menu, seating arrangement, etc. I was totally impressed and enjoyed working with him on my mom's 70th!

Scott was AMAZING! He went out of his way to help set up the date & time for our wedding from the outset. He was prompt with all of his responses. No question was too trivial. He even contacted me after the fact when our officiant left his bible at the site. I would highly recommend working with him. He'll take very good care of you.

Also, the $1900 is the alumnae rate. I'm not sure what the rate is for non-Agnes Scott graduates.

ASC Staff were very flexible and accommodating. They provided consistent communication throughout and lots of helpful advice. From menu selection and execution, to table set up and vendor accommodation, to helping stage the valet service, the event was made that much more successful due to the hard work of the entire staff. They are just wonderful to work with in every way. The venue itself is simply spectacular. The availability of the alumnae house right next to the venue was a big plus. It provided a place to stage the hair and make up and all the bridesmaids and family were able to relax prior to pictures. Speaking of pictures - the architecture, verdant outdoor spaces and small intimate courtyards made the site selection a photographic wonderland. Lastly, the food was terrific. The staff took my ideas and made them happen and everyone raved about the flavors and originality of the menu. The value of using this venue is unparalleled in Atlanta.

I really enjoyed the ease of working with this vendor and the fact that all aspects of my wedding could be accommodated at this venue including hosting the rehearsal dinner in the tea room at the Alumnae House and hosting accommodations at the Alumnae House for my immediate family and wedding party, as well as the reception and wedding ceremony. Also this venue has a beautiful landscape for hosting a wedding

Great and beautiful place to have a wedding. Scott is great at his job particularly on the day of. The only small thing was the tofu dish at our tasting was great but on the day of it was completely different, but otherwise the food is great. The chicken was some of the best I ever had.

Beautiful and grand venue for reception! Alumni Garden and Terrace were perfect for outdoor cocktail reception before dinner. Scott was easy to work with--very responsive and flexible. We were able to personalize the evening with several nice touches. He offered guidance in the planning process and was available all evening to make sure event was as planned. He even chased down the groom's wallet to make sure he had it upon departure. Peter, the Catering Director was also very professional and the food was delicious and wait staff was pleasant. The ability to bring in your own liquor was a great cost savings. Agnes Scott is a wonderful venue--great experience!

Beautiful venue - both indoors and out. Scott was incredibly helpful through the entire process - from planning the event, to the event itself and even after. Food was very good. Lots of flexibility in planning the event and great value overall. Guests were very complimentary of the venue and atmosphere.

We picked the chapel at Agnes Scott College for our wedding ceremony. It was the best decision we made during the whole process. We were in negotiations with another location nearby that we didn't have any connections to and the whole process was very formal and a little cold. I was also not very happy with the coordinator who seemed a little aloof. We received a recommendation for Agnes Scott and decided to take a look and see if there was availability for our date (did I mention we were trying to plan in 5 months!). Scott Larimore immediately returned my call (on a Friday) and answered all of my questions. He even offered to have my fiancé and me over that weekend to look around during a very busy wedding season at the college. I was beyond impressed with the entire experience. After meeting Scott and visiting the chapel we signed the contract. We were both sold. Scott made himself available for everything, my parents were in town and wanted to visit, I needed to drop off my dress early the day of, he was there for the rehearsal. You name it, Scott was there to answer questions, help calm my nerves, and provide the graciousness and hospitality that you dream of on your wedding day. I cannot say enough good things about having my ceremony at the chapel on Agnes Scott's campus. Now I was already under contract for my reception at the time but if you are still in the process of looking, just do your whole event at Agnes Scott. Trust me, there are days when I wish I had...Good luck and congrats!

Best day EVER! The setting at Agnes Scott is beautiful. Scott Larimore is over and beyond AMAZING! He is very easy to work with, has tons of ideas and really makes you feel that he is invested in you and your day.

We got married at Agnes Scott in the Thompson Chapel and had our reception in the Evans Dining Hall and everything was absolutely gorgeous. The architecture in both of these buildings is beautiful and doesn't need a whole lot of decoration.
Howard was our contact for this venue. He is the event coordinator and he is awesome! He was extremely helpful and flexible and thorough and he took very good care of us. He was very quick to respond, had a good sense of humor and was genuinely fun, efficient, and pleasant to work with!
The food was absolutely scrumptious and savory. I have several of my guests tell me that this is best food that they ever had at a wedding! We opted for the stations (carving stations/pasta station) and service was seamless.
My only complaint would be that the bar manager told us to get waaaaay too much alcohol (this venue allows you to bring your own alcohol). She tried to get us to go with her vendor so that we could return wine and alcohol if we didn't use it, it was unopened, and the labels were still intact. We didn't go with her vendor and nearly every bottle of wine was opened or had the label ruined so that we would not be able to make the return to the alcohol vendor we chose and we had a TON of wine and liquor left over.
Overall, my experience with Agnes Scott was fantastic! My guests has a blast and so did we! Very professional! Very beautiful! Very accommodating! I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a venue looking to have a beautiful wedding.

What an amazing venue. It was a convenient, different, special location with just the right feel and character for our wedding. I wanted one location for the ceremony and reception, and I wanted everything indoors, so weather would not be a concern. But I wanted the option to have cocktail hour outdoors if the weather cooperated -- which it did. Agnes Scott was perfect.

The chapel is warm and charming, and requires little, if any, decoration. The dining hall was spectacular -- plenty of room to dine, dance and decorate any way you wish.

Rita and her team were wonderful. No detail was overlooked. The food was delicious, the staff were very pleasant, attentive and accommodating. It was the wedding I have been dreaming about, executed perfectly.

Scott Larimore was extremely helpful! He made everything very easy.

After searching through almost all reception venues in the Atlanta area, my mom stumbled upon Agnes Scott, the best hidden gem. We met with Scott Larimore and signed the contract within the same week. This venue is gorgeous, I cannot stress that enough. We used the Letitia Pate Evans Dining Hall and had 300 guests for a seated buffet dinner. Cocktail hour was in the side gardens and we arranged passed hors d'oeuvres outside. Agnes Scott allows you to bring in your own alcohol which was a huge money saver with our Irish Catholic family.

Scott was our contact with the venue and acted as a mini wedding planner. He coordinated all rentals (tables, chairs, linens), catering, setup (including floor plan), and payments. Any time I had a question, Scott would text, email, or call back immediately. Scott would send picture messages via text if I ever second guessed a color combination or decision. He even let me stop by with my parents one weekend while they prepped another wedding just to get a feel of the final product and floor plan options. He was amazing.

I loved working with everyone at Ages Scott - the security guards, waitstaff, cooks, and Scott were all so appreciative of our business. I think sometimes with the hype of weddings, vendors forget that you are choosing them and paying them. A few venues in Atlanta made me feel as if I was competing to get their attention. Agnes Scott made me so comfortable.

Another perk - Agnes Scott has an Alumni House on campus you can rent. It's an adorable 5 bedroom/5.5 bathroom house with an open downstairs perfect for the bridal party. It's next door to the dinning hall and was so convenient for getting dressed and bridal photos. It was very affordable too! This location is wonderful. Decatur has a cute downtown that kept our visitors entertained with shops and bars all within walking distance. When I started this review, I rated Agnes Scott a 4.9/5 because no one is perfect but who am I kidding... 5.0

My wedding was held at Agnes Scott in Evans Hall on 8.31.2013. Evans Hall is the school's dining facility (like where the kids eat their meals) but it truly TRANSFORMS for weddings. I was so impressed with the grandeur and sophistication of the hall once it was fully dressed.

The venue coordinator, Howard, is also amazing to work with. Sometimes, a little slow with emails, but never neglected to respond. He was super flexible, kind, and courteous during the entire planning process. He was budget conscious (which was great for us) and creative at the same time. He stressed that he wanted our wedding day to be perfect and largely thanks to him, it was.

Agnes Scott requires you to use their in-house caterer, which at first made me nervous that our meals might taste like cafeteria food. I was so wrong. The chef is fantastic. We served chicken marsala and beef brisket as a duet entree and both selections were so delicious! The meat was so tender and juicy, which is hard to do with chicken breasts.

We also really enjoyed meeting and working with the bartenders and serving staff. They were all very attentive and professional and seemed genuinely happy for us.

My husband and I recommend Agnes Scott 100% hands down!

Agnes Scott is just beautiful. The chapel is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding--it holds up to 140, though our wedding had ~105 guests, and it was comfortably full. Further, the huge ceilings and windows in the chapel make it feel like you're partially outdoors! The reception venue, Evans, is breathtaking. Gorgeous wood floors, pendant lights, and beautiful windows "wow-ed" our guests.
If you host a reception at Agnes Scott, you must use their own catering--it's delicious! Our guests raved about the food. At times, it was difficult to get a response from Howard, the onsite planner, but he was truly helpful and sincerely cared about our wedding.

We booked Agnes Scott for our daughter’s wedding in May 2024. Rita and her staff went above and beyond in every way. I agree with other reviewers that you need to read every document carefully and ask questions, but the staff is very knowledgeable and answered questions quickly and accurately. We provided details on what we were looking for and the first estimate was transparent, and spot on. We saw real value, and over the top service, for every dollar spent. The only hiccup we had was the bar staff. Being a school, they use an outside service. The bartenders were very inexperienced and could not pull off simple signature drinks. I would stick with wine, beer, and seltzers which would have been absolutely fine. Ultimately, the grounds and the room were absolutely stunning, and the food lived up to all the revues. The space allows for plenty of tables and a huge dance floor--which was very important to the bride and groom. We had endless compliments on every aspect. It certainly had that magical feeling you look for.

Agnes Scott is a dream wedding location. The setting is magical, the food is amazing, and the staff is very helpful. My guests were SO impressed by the beautiful campus and many were taking little strolls to look at the sites and doing mini photoshoots in between the events. I'm very glad I had access to the Alumnae House as well for prep pictures that turned out beautiful. All of our pictures around campus were amazing for the engagement and wedding and I felt like I didn't need many decorations since the spaces have such beautiful architecture. It was wonderful to return to campus with our loved ones and we are so very happy we chose Agnes for our wedding.

You must see the campus to understand how amazing it is. The dining hall, the chapel, it was all so beautiful. Our downside was that we aren't having a large wedding, (at least 130) but it still wowed us and didn't compare to many that we saw afterwards. The staff was very accommodating and understanding. Just a gorgeous place.

Agnes Scott College was a wonderful venue for our wedding day. As an alumna, I already cherished the college. However, even if you have no affiliation with the college, I still encourage you to explore Agnes Scott as a venue option.

We were married in Evans Dining Hall, which many of our guests said was beautiful and reminded them of Hogwarts. We had our cocktail hour downstairs in Lower Evans while the room was flipped for the reception. Everything was timely and went smoothly, and each transition was easy. The space is also very large, so that allows for lots of flexibility for guest count and dance floor size. Since the floors are all hardwood, you can designate whatever size dance floor you'd like. There's also plenty of room for the DJ or band if you so choose. The room is so classy-looking to begin with that we only added pipe and drape, uplighting, linens and florals.

We were married in spring, which was a great time for pictures on campus. The azaleas of various colors are in bloom and a the trees and buildings are quite picturesque. Our guests, especially those who had never been on campus before, gave us many compliments on the natural beauty of the campus.

Note that because Agnes Scott is a college first, dates are limited to Saturdays. The venue walkthrough and catering tasting are limited to weekday working hours, so there is a little less flexibility than a traditional venue. Also, there are wedding items, such as decor, that are not included like at traditional wedding venues, so you'd need to source them elsewhere. However, we worked with many vendors who had worked with Agnes Scott for other weddings, so that made it easy.

That being said, Rita was amazing to work with and was incredibly helpful in making our wedding the experience we wanted. I wouldn't have it any other way, and I am so happy that we chose Agnes Scott.

The campus is a perfect place to have your wedding. It's not too big and in the heart of Decatur. We wanted a venue that had a chapel and the reception place in the same area and Agnes Scott accommodated all those needs. The chapel is beautiful with its new gothic style. You also definitely get a bang for your buck when it comes to catering. Bring your own alcohol and the bartenders will serve it. The dining staff is very professional and the school really transforms the place into something magical. Rita, the event coordinator, is a pleasure to work with and will do what she can to meet all your needs.

Alot of people would not think to have their wedding on a college campus, but this place is top notch! The campus is beautiful and small enough to have very intimate qualities. You can select from several locations on campus to have your wedding, reception, or both depending on your budget. My wife and I decided to do our wedding in the chapel and our reception in their dining hall. The chapel was breathtaking with it's gothic theme, high ceilings, and huge windows to let in natural light. But beware, the chapel can only hone about 120 people comfortably. If that is your number, then this is a can't miss venue.

As for as the dining hall goes, don't be quick to think 'A dining hall?!?...{crickets}". This hall is magnificent! Great architectural venue that can hold about 400 people. They also had an outdoor patio deck that leads down to a nice water fountain where we had our cocktail hour Heck, this could have easily passed as a great venue without any upgrades or alterations. But when we added lighting, decor, props, etc., it turned the venue into something out of a fairy tale. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was very impressed with both venues. Also worth mentioning is that we had several options for pictures immediately after the wedding. As I mentioned earlier, the campus was beautiful, and there were endless enclaves for excellent pictures, especially around that time in the afternoon.

As far as the staff goes, they were absolutely top notch. Howard Robinson was the utmost professional and his staff was first class all the way. Agnes Scott has a department that specializes in Weddings, so don't think you're getting lackluster service by going this option. They definitely know their stuff. And they recently expanded this department to accommodate the increase volume, so they definitely take their business seriously. We caught on to this place while they were still a secret. Now they STAY booked nearly every weekend. I strongly recommend jumping on this place before the secret is officially out!

I specifically used the Chapel on campus for my ceremony and it was perfect. All of campus is gorgeous and the Chapel needs no decorations as it's beautiful as it is. The staff was friendly and able to work with me through some of my special requests along the way. A wonderful overall experience and worth every penny.

Scott was great and professional, and was able to provide the perfect elements for our special day.

Who would’ve know that a college did weddings not me but after working with Agnes Scott College I couldn’t imagine having my wedding anywhere else. Mrs Rita James knew how to help and made herself available from the first time we spoke up until my actual wedding date. The campus beautiful and food delicious.

Agnes Scott staff were very professional throughout the entire process! Rita James played a major part from end to end. Our guest were happy with the venue, food and staff. Only thing that could be improved is the parking situation, make sure you send the campus map in your invite to be clear about telling your guest where to park. This will avoid tardiness to the event.Overall we made the best decision!

Agnes Scott was a wonderful experience for my wedding venue. Everything was executed according to our vision and they were very professional when it came to payments, walkthroughs and questions that needed to be answered. Scott was a great wedding event coordinator and very friendly/ helpful. We have established a life long relationship (especially my husband). The weddings can be as extravagant or as small as you would like. The area is big enough and there is plenty of different options to make the ceremony or reception an once in a lifetime experience. Thanks Agnes Scott for making my wedding amazing!!

Agnes Scott is an incredible venue for the cost. Our only issues boiled down to two things: (1) a bumpy transition when they changed their events coordinator staff; (2) the staff they hired to serve drinks didn't know how to make the cocktails we requested. Otherwise, the process was pretty seamless, and we felt that all of our needs were met.

My daugther's wedding and reception were held at Agnes Scott in May. We could not have had a more beautiful setting for both. Howard Robinson, was wonderful to work with, sometimes you have to be patient, and give him time to get back to you by phone or emai. When looking for a venue, we wanted a place to bring in our on alcohol to keep our cost down. The food here was wonderful, they will work with you to create the meal that you want. The banquet staff was great as well. The only thing I would do differently is to hire a wedding/or day of planner, we did all the planning and booking of everything ourselves, and when you get to the acutal day, you do need someone to be the go to person!
I found that if a "venue" wedding was the type wedding you are choosing to have, all the ones that I chose to price, seemed to all come in around the same rental rate, the Gothic setting of Evans Hall, is what drew my daughters attention to Agnes Scott, and when we saw the Chapel, I new we had found the place!

Scott and the team at Agnes were helpful. There were some challenges re: the cocktail time and things being prepared as we'd asked but overall this was a great experience and we'd recommend weddings at Agnes to anyone who is considering it.

We were really happy with the reception that we hosted at Agnes Scott. The campus is beautiful and Evans Hall is absolutely breathtaking. Their in house catering was unexpectedly delicious. We were very happy that we could bring in our own alcohol as this allowed for a little more flexibility in our budget. I would recommend having a wedding coordinator on site if you have your reception here as many of the details were not attended to by their staff (served the wrong side dish with one of the entrees, told guests we were out of white wine but we ended up with 40 bottles to take home at the end of the night, didn't have champagne poured for the toast). Overall I would recommend this venue but would caution any bride to be sure to confirm all details with their staff and have someone external on site to ensure set up & service goes the way you want.

As soon as we stepped foot on the campus, we fell in love. The garden for the ceremony and the reception hall were stunning. They ended up being perfect for our wedding and fit our theme and vision beautifully. The staff was attentive and helpful on the day and the food was amazing. We are still receiving compliments on everything. The natural beauty and light of the campus are a perfect backdrop so we were able to keep our decor simple and elegant. Please know that ASC is not a typical wedding venue, however. This means that it was a bit more difficult working with the planning staff that it would be at a place that churns out 3 weddings a week. Everything is a la carte, so you will have more vendors to manage but this also means you get to pick exactly what you want. We were able to keep our bar bill to less than $1,500 which was great. The rental space and food costs came in a lot higher than we anticipated however. We spent close to $12K for space, food (cocktail hour and dinner), and fees. They really get you with the fees so be prepared for that. We were able to rent the Alumnae House to get ready in which was perfect. Its a beautiful building and we happened to have it all to ourselves which worked out great. Theres also a space for the guys to get ready which is helpful. If this space fits your look and feel, and you are willing to put in a little extra work in planning efforts you can really have a stunning wedding.

They changed their wedding coordinator about a month before our wedding and things weren't as organized as that could have been.
The minister from Agnes Scott was horrible! We had to have our rehearsal the day of the wedding! Beautiful venue but they are missing out with customer service. The wedding was beautiful,everyone had fun, they are flexible but I wouldn't have another wedding there again.

The chapel is beautiful, but we had issues on the day of our ceremony. The air conditioning was not turned on and we could not find the thermostat nor reach anyone to help us find it. It was a hot day and hotter in the chapel with all the windows. We were quite sweaty by the end of our ceremony.
No one had come to check to see if we were doing alright before the ceremony which I think should be customary for any sort of event. The doors were unlocked for us on time but that was the extent of the presence of the Agnes Scott Event staff on the day of our event.

We were not permitted to decorate the space ahead of time, only on the day of the ceremony. We managed but it would have been helpful to have been able to come in earlier in the week to decorate as we were doing everything ourselves.

Other than those two small inconveniences the chapel was the perfect venue for our small ceremony. The event staff were communicative throughout the process.

The Letitia Pate Evans dining hall at Agnes Scott College is BEAUTIFUL! My advice is (1) read all the documents that they send you. Don't assume that the information is the same across all the documents. (2) If there something in one document that is not in your contract make sure you ask. There were a couple of things like that in ours. We made sure to verify and made sure it was in email so that we had a paper trail. (3) You pay for every little thing. Be mindful of that. (4) I had a floor plan that I wanted and it was not set up the way that I wanted to be in the end. I think they thought that I wouldn't notice but I did. I feel like I sent them the floorpan early enough that they could have asked me questions to verify what I wanted or notified me of things that could not be done before I showed up to my reception and it wasn't what I wanted. Be sure to follow up. (5) They don't do business on the weekends. Make sure to schedule some time that you or your planner or another representative can meet with them during the week. (6) My salad was changed. Which sucked for my husband. He picked the menu and of course you know that was like the only thing he cared (or was allowed) to give input on. If you are one who is concerned about changes being made - make it clear to them that you want to be made aware of any and all changes they may need to make. (7) They say they can accommodate up to 400 guests. They can, but you pay for everyone over 150 people. You pay for their plate, cup, cutlery (only $2.00 per person but still) and their linens (yep they only cover tables to accommodate 150 people. Honestly I think the space is entirely too large for only 150 people. But that's just my opinion. (8) Call before you email. Call immediately after you email. (9) The seated dinner is only for 150 guests and that's only on 1 document that they send. (10) EVEN WITH ALL OF THAT - MY WEDDING RECEPTION WAS EVERYTHING TO ME!!!! IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER! **SideNote** BEST FOOD EVER!
