Dave was absolutely amazing! He was so accommodating when plans kept changing throughout the night and even helped with ideas. Dave had the entire party of all ages up and dancing and having so much fun. Thank you for that crazy dubstep 😉 and for having Harris get to DJ his own set!! We couldn’t have asked for anyone better for our special day. -

Absolutely Amazing!!
We had a complete ball at our wedding and I think the music was spot on and catered to every age group. Even my Grandmother was dancing! Don’t think there was ever a time where the dance floor was empty so thank you so very much. The night flew by. We aren't huge dancers, but we were that night. Dave answered all my crazy questions at all hours of the night promptly for 2 years straight while planning this wedding. From the first phone call I knew he was our perfect fit. Dave is very thourough and you can tell he loves what he does. His suggestions for the evening for our bouquet toss, shoe game, and anniversary dance were all a huge hit.
Thanks so much for all your efforts at our wedding. Was truly the best night of our lives. We had a fantastic night and the music was exactly what we wanted. You did a great job!
We suggest Dave at Afino Entertainment for any event! He is the best!

Dave did such an amazing job for our outdoor rooftop wedding in Midtown NYC! We received many compliments on our choice of DJ! Our venue was a little bit challenging in terms of loudness of music and noise as we are on a Midtown rooftop, but that limitations did not stop Dave from throwing such an amazing fun wedding party! He had such an awesome selection of music and had everyone dancing nonstop! The night before the wedding, me and my now husband can't decide on what music for our first dance, dance with parents etc.. and Dave's suggestions are very impressive! it feels like we've been friends for years and definitely knows our styles! everything turned out so perfect! Great sound and lighting equipment and phenomenal Emcee skills! very engaging! We are beyond grateful having Dave as part of our Special Day! SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 10 STARS FOR YOU DAVE! WELL DONE! -

Dave was extremely thorough and detailed in our meetings before the wedding and because of this, our day went perfectly. He was an excellent emcee for the whole day. His knowledge of weddings and current trends was great & he was extremely helpful with planning the timeline & all the music for the day according to OUR wants. He was an absolute pleasure to work with & incredibly professional throughout all the planning & our day!! I would highly recommend using Afino for any event. I will use him again for sure!!! -

We used Dave / Afino Entertainment for our Wedding @ Sea Cliff Manor, in Sea Cliff, NY on 9/21/18. And we are so glad we did!
From the first conversation I had with Dave, I had a good feeling about him. My fiance (now wife) and I had something pretty specific in mind about the DJ we wanted for our wedding. We were not a fan of the separate emcee/DJ format in which the emcee obnoxiously over-hypes everything.
We wanted a DJ who could also emcee, but knew where to hype the crowd and when to just let the music speak for itself. We wanted a DJ that had some actual DJing skills: being able to read the crowd and mix tracks well, keeping people on the dance floor! We also wanted someone who could incorporate songs we wanted to hear during different parts of the evening (mostly during cocktail hour and dinner).
Well, Dave met and exceeded our expectations in all of the above areas. First of all, he is extremely organized and has an online format form for you to fill out. This covers just about everything you can think of, and most importantly to me, gave us the opportunity to provide a list of songs we wanted to hear in each part of the evening. What I found really great was that for the cocktail hour playlist, Dave took my suggestions and made a continuous mix to be played. Later on, he uploaded this to mixcloud so we could re-live that aspect of the wedding. Nice touch!
Dave is extremely responsive and answered all my annoying emails within a few hours, tops... but usually within minutes! Our last phone call before the event was over an hour long! I say that as a compliment of course... he covered aspects of the evening I had not even thought of, and gave me peace of mind knowing that he was taking care of the flow of the party. The day of the event, Dave worked so well with my videographer and photographer, having never met them before. I noticed them truly working as a team throughout the night, which was awesome to see! Also, his lighting system was awesome and very reasonable to add to the package.
Lastly, the next morning we woke up to find a highlight video that Dave put together! We are only just now (almost two months later) getting to see footage from our videographer, so how cool is that that Dave was taking little videos throughout the night? He keeps a "wedding VLOG" playlist on his YouTube, from all the weddings he works.
What more can I say? I could not possibly give him a higher rating. -

Afino Entertainment was absolutely amazing!! Dave was extremely helpful since my wife and I were not sure what a typical wedding format was. His online form not only helped us pick the songs we wanted, but outlined what the entire night would be like. One of the extras that is a MUST is the uplighting that he provides. It is well worth the price and made our wedding night that much more special. Dave was also very personable and flexible and is probably one of the best DJs for weddings in the tristate area. -

Dave was great from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable and very responsive to any of my questions. From the customized slide shows, to dancing on the clouds, to my custom light logo on the wall, he did it all. He knew exactly what music to play based on the questions he asked me and also played some of the Greek music I requested, the crowd went NUTS and are still raving about him. I will definitely use him again for any future events and I highly recommend him. -

2.If you’re going to read a review, this is the one you should read!!!
When planning a wedding, you have so many difficult decisions to make; from picking the perfect dress, the flowers/centerpieces, colors, and meeting demands of family members. It can be so overwhelming! Luckily, for me, the easiest decision (next to marrying my best friend) was choosing Dave as our DJ! As cliché as it sounds, this is not just a job for Dave; he goes above and beyond to make sure your event goes flawless by putting his all into it. At the time I was planning my wedding I was also going through graduate school, which was also demanding. Due to this, I found it helpful to get a jump on things as early as I could. Some people looked at me like I was crazy doing some things super early, but Dave didn’t! He understood my hectic schedule and really worked with me and met me where I was in the process. About two weeks before the big day he sat on the phone with me for about an hour and a half going over what music I wanted, when I wanted certain songs played and how I wanted the vibe of the room throughout the night (including the lights). He also threw out some ideas regarding entrances and placements of songs that I would NEVER thought of (but then again that’s what separates me from him as the professional)! As someone who planned the day out minute by minute, he understood and truly grasped what I was looking for. When I got to the venue after the ceremony, I was completely blown away with his set up and how he took control of making sure everything ran smoothly. As someone who is a type A personality, I was actually able to relax and have fun because I just KNEW it was in good hands! My husband and I can’t express how much we are thankful that Dave was the DJ for our wedding!

Dave was professional, warm, friendly and so easy to work with from beginning to end. We especially appreciated how he paid so much attention to detail and took the time to explain how things would go. Very reassuring at each stage, especially when we worried rain might make us move the ceremony indoors. Thankfully the sun shone for us! Must say Afino was well-priced for all the work that went into our wedding. Afino’s online forms made planning and paying expertly efficient. Highly recommend! -

He nailed the vibe we were going for at the wedding and the dance floor was packed all night! After the wedding, Dave sent us a follow up email with short video he created to remember the night. We would highly recommend DJ Afino for any wedding or event in the NJ/ NYC area! -

We could feel how much he really cares about his clients and the music and will go out of his way to make your wedding as perfect as he can make it. He nailed all the little details about how and when we needed certain songs to be played during our reception.
Since we had a daytime wedding, we didn't think we wanted to dance and also didn't think our guests would spend much time on the dance floor. We were so wrong! We were out on the dance floor with our guests having a great time. We really have to credit Dave for that! He knows how to read a crowd and play what's appropriate in the moment. We couldn't recommend Afino Entertainment enough!

Dave was easy to work with, incredibly personable, played every song we requested, and also provided us with some great ideas that we wound up incorporating. He was very organized and handled all the music from the ceremony through the very end of the reception. He had everyone on the dance floor throughout the night; we even had a mini mosh pit at the groom's request. I would highly recommend him for any upcoming events. His quality of work is an outstanding value. -

From the first time we spoke to Dave, you can immediately tell this wasn't just a "job" for him, it's his passion. We immediately knew he would be a good fit. He takes what he does very serious and wants you to have an amazing experience. He takes the time to understand your vision, musical preferences and program details. He is very knowledgeable and makes suggestions based on his experiences.
He has an amazing personality, punctual, and very organized. He is very detailed oriented and didn't miss a beat throughout our wedding. He even stepped in to help us with the reception entrance line up (something he didn't have to do) and im glad he did! He saw an opportunity that could have caused stress on us and was quick to suggest something to make sure everything continues to run smooth. He made sure we stuck to our timeline and made all necessary announcements. He read the crowd and played the right music to keep the dancing going.
He does this cool thing at the end by gathering everyone on the floor to take a group photo, I thought that was amazing!
Also suggesting a bride and groom last dance was a perfect close out to our wedding day.
He was definitely worth the investment. We are strong believers in you get what you pay for and what we received was priceless! -

I don't recommend DJ AFINO to anyone! I have been reaching out to him for the last couple weeks now to go over the details of our wedding that is to be coming on April 29th. We have heard absolutely nothing. All emails, phone numbers and other contact information has clearly been deleted. Even our signed and fully paid for contract has been removed. I understand if there has been a mental emergency but what I don't forgive is the disregard for others. Had he reached out to us and explained his situation then we would be less upset, now not only are my fiance and I out the money we already paid for his services but have to find a new dj last minute. I just hope and pray he doesn't do this to others! -

I couldn't be more displeased and upset with booking DJ AFINO AKA- Dave Brennan for my wedding. I had booked him for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception he didn't showed up until an hour before the reception ended 6 hours later then promised in the contract. My parents had to pay the venue for an extra hour just so we could have some time for dancing. He stated he had the music ready for the wedding the night before in a playlist but none of that music was ready and he was scrambling to play it that day playing whatever he could even music we requested not to be played. He was not dress for a wedding he was wearing a tee shirt and cargo shorts. Multiple guest told me he seemed messed up on something and freaking out and just not there mentally. Now its been 2 1/2 weeks later and I'm still trying to get my refund he promised that night. DO NOT BOOK HIM FOR YOUR WEDDING HE RUINED MINE!
