Wonderful experience!

It wasn’t until after the ceremony that we heard someone comment that Greg of Affairs to Remember was “the godfather of the Seattle DJ scene”, and it’s easy to see why. Greg’s energy matched what we wanted from our wedding: Laid-back lounge during happy hour and dinner, then dancing until closing time. He expertly em-ceed the transitions between our formal entrance, our first dance, speeches, and even had songs ready to go for each “award” that we gave out during our thank-you speech. We appreciated Greg’s thoroughness leading up to the wedding, too. Neither of us had wedding parties, so the ceremony itself was short, but Greg encouraged us to take the time to think about the songs we wanted to walk to. Thank you, Greg, for making ours an affair to remember.

Saved the Day

There is so much to say, all fantastic. Greg walked us through all aspects of music selection and gave us great tips when we were stuck and indecisive. Before the ceremony and during the ceremony, Greg did a great job to account for the high winds. But he was especially great when the venue’s power went out immediately after the ceremony. He took charge and made sure our night was perfect and unforgettable. We are completely grateful for everything Greg did and we would highly recommend him for your wedding.

Best wedding DJ ever

Greg was amazing to work with. He met with us several times and offered so much guidance and help every step of the way. If you are looking for a DJ who knows their stuff and makes your wedding a wonderful experience, this is the company for you. I would totally use Greg again for future events. .

Perfect Experience with Greg!

We honestly did not realize how much of a huge positive impact a great DJ/MC could have until we worked with Greg for our wedding. We went into the music portion of our wedding planning completely blind and directionless. Greg helped guide us with immensely helpful forms defining which portions of the ceremony and reception could have music and great examples and recommendations for everything. He was so game for all of our ideas and it was clear that he had experienced all styles and approaches with his past clients, so we knew he would understand and execute no matter what our vision was. His communication with us and with our wedding planner was nothing short of excellent. He flawlessly helped our day progress through our timeline with his MC-ing and when it came to dancing he read the room incredibly and created such a perfect mix of music. His extensive experience in the industry cannot be understated or underappreciated!! We had the most perfect experience with Greg and are forever grateful!

Great did a great job you did at our wedding!! It was just the style and energy we were looking for and our guests really did enjoy and have fun!

The ceremony went off perfectly and I thought everything flowed so smoothly. I noticed the bassa nova during dinner and all the other touches or “must hear” artists that we discussed. Most importantly, we loved that the crowd was dancing (and dancing, and dancing) until midnight.

Greg was easy to work with and fun to talk too! I also really enjoyed our planning session at home he brought great ideas when we didn't know what we wanted.

Greg is a phenomenal DJ who quickly became a true friend of ours during the process. He loves what he does and I believe that makes all the difference. His original presentation won us over as he made us feel that he's invested in and excited about our day, that he didn't just view it as another gig. We were able to meet for dinner a few times throughout planning and it helped us build a great relationship. He had an endless amount of great music and entertainment ideas. Our ceremony was outside in the field away from any power, and I was nervous about logistics. Greg assured us everything would be just perfect with the small generator, and it was! The shoe game was a hit with his fun questions and commentary. He kept the day running smoothly from arrival, to ceremony, to dinner, to dancing, to send off. He was flexible through any challenges and provided us with a wonderful wedding experience. His skill is invaluable!

You NEED Greg as your DJ for your wedding reception! He is an incredible person and a true professional. It is clearly evident that he loves what he does and treats the biggest day of your life as if it were his own. All communications with him were timely and clear and he is flexible with meeting places (he was willing to drive from Bellevue to Tacoma twice). He is personable and getting to know the wedding couple is important to him to provide the best service. My wife and I like a wide variety of music and Greg made it work. The music was one of the most important things to us and he nailed it from cocktail hour to the last dance song. You will NOT be disappointed with Greg. Thank you so much for helping us shake our booties and making our wedding epic, Greg!

Greg was such an awesome person to work with! He was flexible with meeting, met as many times as we needed, and planned the wedding time line with me and my photographer. The lead up to the wedding day was everything I expected.

The wedding day however, Greg exceeded our expectations. He was always near us, making sure the timing was right for our all the activities. He kept our guests busy while we did pictures, and the recieving line went on flawlessly. Greg even came by to see how we were doing, gave us some water, and made sure we had enough time to eat. We switched up the speech line up, and Greg was rolling with the punches no problem.

I have gotten many comment by family and friends that the timing for everything was perfect and no one was bored or just standing around. I highly suggest Affairs to Remember as a DJ. They really made my wedding fun for me and my guests.

Greg was the first and only DJ that we met with. I know people advise against that and so did Greg BUT we knew we had found the one!! He was so smart, professional, fun, easy to talk to...He sent us books and gave us so much advice and choices on how the reception could go. We didn't take all of it but we took a ton! He met with us any time we wanted. He worked with my best friend and officiant to pull of an amazing rap toast that totally made the night! I can't say enough good things about Greg. I know weddings get expensive but a good, quality DJ is worth the money and sets the tone for the entire night. People might not remember your centerpieces but they will remember how much fun they had listening and dancing to the music!

As the groom, I knew that I would only have a few areas of the ceremony/reception to make a significant impact. Music was by FAR the most important part of the wedding to me. In researching different vendors we were recommended Affairs to Remember. After meeting with Greg for the first time we knew that he had the experience and the passion for his profession to make our wedding day special. With music being my focal point, Greg was extremely receptive to my input and did an amazing job of taking my song lists and making it into a seamless playlist! Every part of the evening was carefully constructed to impact the mood of the guests. As I walked around the dinner table meeting with family and friends I could not have asked for a better curator of the song selection. The morning after the wedding, music was the topic that came up over and over again. Everyone kept saying how perfect the transitions were, and that the mood of the evening from start to finish was exactly what a wedding should be. Part of me felt proud of how much time I put into my lists, but I knew that my time spent would have been wasted had anyone other than Greg been in charge of fitting it all together, making the music flow so everyone could have a good time!
Greg has a sincere commitment to his craft. His knowledge of music genres and the experience he has gained through events and learning at expos shows in the quality of the product he delivers. He will work with you no matter your musical tastes to provide an experience you and your families will be talking about for years to come!

I was very happy with our decision to book Greg as our DJ. We had some complicated requests and he was able to manage them all with ease. He even had custom lighting that he added to our lightsaber first dance (you read that right). He also stuck to our play list and while he offered some additional suggestions, he respected our wishes at every turn and made the night amazing. Highly recommend.

Greg Lowder was a fantastic guy to work with! We met with Greg a couple of times before the wedding and always had a great time. On the day Greg was great at moving things along smoothly so that everyone always knew what was going on. The music Greg played was exactly what we were looking for - from the wedding ceremony songs to the music which everyone was dancing too it was all brilliant! When I say everyone, I mean everyone, at some points all of our guests were up on the dance floor. Greg kept the song genres mixed enough to keep a few people dancing at all times which made for a great night. Some of our guests were Russian and Greg was able to play a couple of their native songs also which were definitely a hit! Overall it was definitely a great decision to hire Greg as our DJ and we would highly recommend him to anyone! :-)

Greg Lowder’s knowledge of popular and obscure music is simply impressive. Greg was generous with his time, carefully listened to the bride’s musical recommendations, and digested our playlists. The end result was a wedding celebration that rocked the Rainier Club with the bride dancing up the storm. Not only was Greg knowledgeable, patient and responsive, but his service was great value. We very much enjoyed every interaction with him. We share the same birthday - we may have to invite him out to our celebration next year.

Greg was an oustanding DJ for our wedding and I cannot tell you how awesome it was working with him! My wife and I currently live in Portland while our wedding took place in Seattle and Greg went above and beyond to phone conference with us, meet us every time we were in town, and just in general check in to see how we were doing. He has a wealth of knowledge that helped not only when it came to music and being the master of ceremonies but also when it came to general wedding prep, putting together a day plan, and more. We could tell from the first time we met with Greg that he cares so much more about the couples he works with than putting together and awesome wedding playlist (which he does)! Greg was great and easy to work with. He accommodated our unusual requests as well as a very compressed timeline as we contacted him fairly late in the planning. He inspired confidence so we weren't worried on the wedding day. When the day came the schedule worked out quite differently than what we'd planned with him but he showed great flexibility and still gave us and our guests a first rate experience.

Greg truly wanted our wedding day to be perfect. He provided ideas and unique options to consider beyond just the music. He provides tools and resources that made picking songs, scheduling our day, and incorporating music into each aspect fun and easy. He even assisted us with creating a Trivia Game to keep our guests entertained while they waited to go through the buffet line. He did a great job organizing the list of songs we sent him ranging from rap to country. Multiple people commented on how nice the music ways. We had an alcohol free brunch wedding, so we were concerned our guests wouldn't dance. However, Greg made sure almost everyone was out on the dance floor having a good time! He also did a great job pacing the day and keeping us on schedule. However, he recognized when people were having fun and was able to think on his toes to reorganize events rather then abruptly stopping the party for the next activity. Greg did a great job providing the soundtrack to our wedding!

Greg was a fantastic resource in our wedding planning adventure. He went above and beyond and we appreciated the all-inclusive package that he provided. We did not hire a wedding planner, but we felt like Greg became that for us. In our meetings, he demonstrated a true desire to get to know us, to help us create a unique and memorable occasion, and to help us have fun. His attention to detail and experience in the business were much appreciated. He always listened to our ideas and provided honest and helpful feedback based on his experience. Greg was the DJ and Master of Ceremonies at our wedding and reception. He did an amazing job of making all of our guests feel comfortable, and keeping the event on time. The music was great with selections for all age groups and dancing styles. Even the non-dancers had a wonderful time on the dance floor! Greg took the time to meet with us several times before the wedding to work out all the details and to offer suggestions from his vast experience in the business. He individually talked with all the individuals who had a role in the evening's event (i.e. officiant, readers, toasters, etc.) We called him our Wedding Godfather!!!! We did not have to worry about any details that evening.

Greg Lowder was Amazing! He wasn't just our DJ he was our wedding planner. He helped us figure out what we exactly wanted during our wedding which was fun and loving and he full filled that job amazingly. Greg Lowder (Affairs to Remember) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He was timely and our guests were particularly impressed with how Greg kept the party flowing. Everyone had a great time, and Greg was able to keep the dance floor filled all the way until the end of the reception. Guests also remarked how Greg kept the volume at the right temperature throughout the event so that those guests closest to the speakers could easily talk to others.

We had a Jewish wedding and Greg played a great version of the Hora. Greg was also instrumental in helping us pull off several fun events, such as a teddy bear toss for the children and some fun jokes we played with the bouquet and garter toss. He did a masterful job of moving us through all the events of the night to keep us close to the timing schedule we put together, and he did this without making us feel rushed.

One thing that really impressed us about Greg was that he went above and beyond in helping take down some tables when the venue was being converted to have a bigger dance floor. This type of work was not in the job contract with Greg but with his help, we were able to transition from eating dinner to the rest of the activities more quickly. We will always be appreciative for the awesome job Greg did in helping to make our wedding day one of the most fun days of our lives and we would highly recommend Greg!

I just recently got married and Greg was are DJ/MC he was amazing, he was hands down the best decision I made when planning my wedding. He's professional does exactly what he says he's going to do. He never once on our wedding day made his problems mine, he is fast on his feet to resolve any problems that may arise. He truly means when he says the day is about you and your hubby. I can't thank him enough and I want to have another party just so I can work with him again!

We went with Greg and Affairs to remember and we are so happy we did. He is so much more than just a DJ. We met several times before the big day to get to know each other. He worked so hard to make our ceremony and reception go perfectly. Greg has an infectious personality that made us feel at ease and that everything would be fine. He had wonderful suggestions for songs for all points of the day. He was absolutely perfect and we could not have been happier. We highly recommend him for your ceremony.

We hired Greg for our wedding reception based on a recommendation from our caterer. My biggest concern when looking for a DJ was not just in finding someone who could play music but in finding someone who would be a good MC as well. Greg did a fabulous job of directing the entire evening. He was very professional both in dress and in how he addressed our guests. In planning for the wedding he met with us at least three times. He met with us at our venue and the other two times we met he came to us. He gave us a book full of ideas on how to plan a reception which was helpful and we used a couple of ideas from the book. He gave us advice on how to plan the reception, how to do the introduction in a non traditional venue and how to honor my dad who is passed all of which proved very helpful. We submitted our list of songs with very short notice and yet I think he played every song we requested and didn't play any that were specifically not requested. He did a wonderful job for us and we'd definitely recommend him and hire him in the future for other events.

I highly recommend DJ Greg Lowder. Greg met with us 3 times leading up to our wedding in locations that were very convenient for us. He came with a lot of good ideas and helped us figure out ways to apply some of our own ideas.

Greg was great on our actual wedding day as well! He was on time, professional, and kept us right on schedule. Our dance floor was full from the time we opened it for dancing and Greg did a great job "reading the room" to play music that keep people dancing until the wedding was over. We will be recommending this DJ to anyone who asks us.

Affairs to Remember was on the list of recommended DJs provided by the coordinator at our wedding location. After meeting with Greg, we knew our search for a DJ was over. Leading up to the wedding, we met with him a few times to fine-tune our vision for the reception. His experience and expertise throughout the planning and on the day of the wedding itself were fantastic. On the day of the wedding he kept us on schedule and also got folks out on the dance floor. Everyone is still talking about how "that was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding," and " I don't think I've ever had so much fun!" Greg Lowder with Affairs to Remember made our day perfect. Our guests (including my 90 YEAR OLD GRANDMA) danced their butts off all night and had the time of their lives!

Another thing that was really great and sets Greg apart from other DJ's in town is that he worked with us throughout the planning process. By the time the big day was here he knew all my other vendors and we were all friends on facebook so that by wedding day it was beyond fun! I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes to have a team of vendors like we had! If you want your wedding to be an event your family and friends rave about for years to come then call Greg!

Five minutes after meeting Greg Lowder, I mentally let out a big sigh of relief. My fiance and I had been stressing over our original plan to ask a couple of family members to DJ/MC for us and decided to meet with a DJ just to cover our bases. Greg totally put us at ease. Greg Lowder is so much more than a DJ. The most important thing he does is guide the flow of the event. There were no awkard pauses or snafus. He monitors the crowd's energy and responds appropriately. He had a ton of ideas surrounding the entrance, announcements, cake cutting, bouquet toss that made of event personal without being hokey. He also has a great sense of humor. Working with him was really fun!

Wow! Just WOW! Greg was fantastic! A total delight to plan and prep with, had total attention to detail, and was so much fun at our wedding! Greg was fabulous to work with from start to finish! He really listened to what we asked for down to the very last song of the night for us, yet really felt out the crowd and what they were actually dancing to! He truly helped keep the timeline of the wedding and even helped me sneak in a special song for my walk down the aisle! Greg did a great job before, during and after the wedding. He went over with us our music choices and gave us ideas about how to go about the ceremony and the reception. Although this was my first wedding, I've heard horror stories from family and friends about wedding DJs. From not returning your calls, to extorting hundreds of dollars to keep playing an extra half-hour past the planned ending time. This was certainly not the case with Greg. He was an absolute pleasure to work with; helpful, and very flexible. This was all very important as I live out of state, and could not meet with him in person. Greg delivered. Not only will I recommend him to anyone I know, I will insist they use him as I feel there is not a better DJ to work with.

Being a guest at weddings doesn't mean you know how they work. Timing is critcal to keep things moving forward and everyone engaged. Greg met with us before hand to discuss the type of wedding we wanted in addition to our musical taste. He brought a lot of great ideas to us and was instrumental in making our wedding and reception the smashing success it was. We, and our guests, still look back at what a great time we all had. A large part of that was due to Greg. He knows his stuff and it wasn't just about the music. Anyone can spin records but if you want someone to make it a night to remember, Greg is the DJ to call.

Greg, the head DJ for Affairs to Remember, provided the music and audio services for our 25th anniversary celebration and vow renewal ceremony, and I was extremely pleased with everything he did. As the DJ and MC of our wedding reception, Greg provided so much more than just a set list and an order of ceremonies - he helped us build a soundtrack for our day and turned our mid-day wedding reception into a full-on dance party! Amazing Job!

Greg was amazing! I would recommend him. The only reason it's only 4 stars in a couple spots is because we planned on starting at 6pm no matter what, but stuff happened and we had to push it back to 6:15 (which was my husband's last minute idea) and I feel like this may have been overwhelming and threw everything off. Other than that he was simply amazing.

Greg was great to work with. He was a big help in figuring out the wedding/reception schedule and determining what music would work best at different times during the day. I was pleased with how personable DJ Greg was, and with his commitment to meet with us several times before our wedding to make sure that everything was planned out exactly as it should be. I ended up disappointed, though, because a lot of the details we talked about didn't actually end up in the ceremony or reception. If you're very particular about your music and where it should start and stop, I might suggest shopping around a bit. On the whole, DJ Greg was a competent and professional DJ, not at all cheesy or inappropriate. He had a large selection of (legal!) music and what he didn't have, he was perfectly willing to find and have available.
