Booking an officiant from oversea's was a little bit scary. But Jon made the whole process so easy! We had the most beautiful ceremony and it all ran so smoothly. Jon was professional but made the ceremony feel special and intimate. Our guest's raved about him and loved the ceremony just as much as us. You can feel confident that you'll will have a beautiful and meaningful ceremony if you hire Jon as your officiant. We can't thank him enough for making our day so special!

We were married on October 9, 2017 and Jon was amazing! We had a small wedding at Kualoa Ranch of about 35 people and I did all the planning from California. Because the wedding was so small I decided to do all of my own planning and I can tell you Jon from the start was responsive, answered all my questions, and last minute when I decided to get a bouquet and leis for me and groom he did it without hesitation and they were beautiful. I have a 3 year old daughter who lost it as I was about to walk down the isle and by the time I got to where Jon and my soon to be husband was I wanted to cry but his calm demeanor and warm smile helped me to keep it together. My only regret was not meeting with him before hand. I don't think I really got to thank you at the wedding.. thanks Jon you were amazing!!!

Kahu Jon made our wedding so memorable and amazing. The Hawaiian wedding traditions was so nice to hear about in the ceremony and we enjoyed every bit of the history. Our wedding party also felt that the ceremony was so special and amazing. We enjoyed the full package and would really recommend it! Just a perfect day.

If you are planning a destination Hawaiian wedding Kahu Jon is the man to hire!! He is very professional, responds quick to emails and questions, very personable, and he makes the ceremony fun! There's Hawaiian chants, blowing of the conch, he wears the the Hawaiian attire. Very prompt when filing the marriage license. Overall I would recommend Kahu Jon to anyone who is looking for an officiant.

Kahu Jon came highly recommend to us from our DJ and we're very glad that he was! Our ceremony was everything we thought it would be and Kahu Jon was A big reason for this! We wanted a traditional Hawaiian ceremony and could not be happier with the way the program delivered! From the blowing of the conch shell to the lei exchange to the history of the traditions, the ceremony blew us away! Kahu Jon was personable and funny and we can't imagine having anyone else marrying us! We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the ceremony was. We would recommend Kahu Akon to anyone looking to get married!!!

DO NOT hesitate when considering Kahu Jon. Kuahiwi Moniz for your wedding!! My wife was literally in tears with how special he made our ceremony, and how perfect he made our wedding!! The perfect balance of Hawaiian culture, with modern ceremony. Looking back, I could not imagine using anyone BUT him! It was actually magical and a part of my life I will never forget, made even more memorable by his services! My only regret is I could not give him more stars!! Mahalo nui Jon!!

My grandfather is full Hawaiian and yet there wasn't too many people in the audience who have ever experienced a traditional Hawaiian wedding! I have had so many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was, I would recommend `Ae `Ike over and over again! We decided not to say personalized vows because we did not want to take away anything from the ceremony being in Hawaiian and neither of us speak fluently. He did amazingly keeping it traditional, interacting with our guests, keeping it light, and mild humor which I loved! You won't be disappointed you chose him!

Jon was AMAZING. We were so happy that we found him to be our officiant. We wanted to find an officiant that really shared the Hawaiian culture and Jon is it. At our rehearsal he explained his family traditions and how he teaches Hawaiian culture to others. At our ceremony, he did not miss a beat. He was so on point and made the ceremony an amazing, magical experience. We have several family members that are now going to use Jon to renew their vows!!! We were absolutely impressed with Jon and could not have asked for a better officiant. We would recommend him to anyone needing an amazing officiant.

Kahu Jon did an exceptional job! It was important to my husband and I that we had a traditional Hawaiian ceremony. Most of our family and friends came from the mainland and they were very impressed. The chants and blowing of the conch shell were just a few of the aspects that I loved. Kahu Jon was also very professional during our rehearsal and did a fantastic job with my very large wedding court. I chose him because of the great reviews he has received. If you are a bride that is hesitant with making a final choice, look no further!

We really wanted an unforgettable Hawaiian wedding experience for us and our guests and Kahu Jon just exceeded our expectations. He always responded fast to our emails and calls and ensured that we received all the guidance before the big day. He was very helpful with obtaining the Hawaii marriage license too. 'Ae 'Ake Hawaiian Wedding services was perfect in every way! He handled our unique double wedding like a pro. Our rehearsal was fantastic and very informative and on our wedding day even though it rained he made us feel like it was a blessing to have such wonderful calm weather just enough time for our ceremony. Our best advice...book this officiant!! Our wedding ceremony included family from both the mainland and Hawaii. Part destination, part "local." We couldn't have asked for a more genuine, heartfelt, fun and loving ceremony. Local and mainland guests alike were impressed and taken away by the ceremony. Kahu Jon helped make our wedding that much more special as he brought passion and enthusiasm to our ceremony as our officiant. My fiance and I were born and raised in Hawaii, but we now live near the Bay Area. We wanted to have our ceremony and reception back home, but wanted our visiting mainland guests to experience something unique to Hawaii. Kahu Jon was very fun and easy to work with. We had the opportunity to speak with him over the phone for a good half-hour to get to know more of his services and how he conducts his ceremonies. From that conversation, we learned how much officiating weddings meant to him as officiating is a part of his family's background, as well as the passion he has about sharing his Hawaiian culture and traditions to all locals and non-locals. The prices for his services are very, very reasonable, so we went with the full Royal Hawaiian Wedding package which included blowing of the "pu" (conch shell) and the traditional lei ceremony. My wife is full Japanese and I am full Filipino and for the most part, our families do not have any native Hawaiian blood; however, speak with them after the ceremony, everyone truly liked his performance as they got to experience something definitely different from your typical ceremony. In all, we highly recommend Kahu Jon to anyone who wants to get married on Oahu and is looking for a native Hawaiian officiant who can make your special day even more memorable.

Jon was very profession and responsive with the planning of our ceremony. He helped out with the beach permit which was one thing off our list of many things to prepare for the wedding. He explained the process of the ceremony to us so that we knew what to expect and plan for.

The ceremony presentation was beautiful and well pronounced. He spoke clearly and presented us with a ceremony that we shall cherished forever.

There is no better place in the world to get married than Hawaii!!! I am from Ohio and planned my wedding in Hawaii from thousands of miles away. I own a wedding planning business and am very particular and a hard critic of the wedding world, so I researched many different individuals on many different sites to try and find the right person to be our officiant. Not having met the person that is going to marry you is a little concerning, but the moment I spoke with Kahu Jon on the phone I knew he was the right choice.
Jon was warm, welcoming and absolutely wonderful! He brought the Aloha spirit and the love of the islands into our ceremony. Besides marrying my best friend, Jon was the best part of my wedding!!! He was kind, patient, funny and treated us all like ohana! The way he performed the Hawaiian ceremony and all the little details was so much more than I could have imagined. It was absolutely perfect and Jon is the only one who could have made it that way!!! I highly recommend him. I will use him when we renew our vows in 10 years or so :)

His ceremony incorporates the Hawaiian culture, and since we had out of town guests attend the vow renewal, I wanted them to experience it; they did and they were blown away by it. From his attire, the chant, conch shell, it's definitely a Hawaiian wedding experience.

Jonathan was absolutely fantastic!! I highly recommend him as an officiant for weddings! From the minute we first emailed he was absolutely lovely, and very quick to respond. He was very flexible with what he would say at the wedding, and incorporated a lei ceremony for us. He made our destination wedding everything and more than we expected! Not only was he lovely, but hilarious!! We had a good laugh during our ceremony, and he managed to get all our guests involved too (this was an absolutely beautiful touch). Every one of or guests commented on how fantastic Jonathan was, and how professionally he conducted the ceremony. I met him for the first time literally as I walked down the aisle, but I felt like I'd known him forever! He is such a lovely human being and really bought a lot of love to our wedding! We are so grateful he was there to celebrate our big day with is! You are absolutely awesome Jonathan, and for every bride and groom out there looking for an officiant in Hawaii, choose THIS MAN!!!!! Kahu Jon. Kuahiwi Moniz was really amazing! He's a big Hawaiian teddy bear. Very professional, easy to talk to and filled with a great sense of humor. He's all about Hawaiian culture and honoring those that have passed on in our lives which was very important to us. He's the real deal, not someone who moved to Hawaii and learned the culture, he is the culture. I wish he could have stayed and celebrated with us for the entire wedding but he's got a busy schedule and there's a reason for that.

I can not thank Jon enough for making our wedding everything I dreamed of! We had a small wedding on Oahu and Jon really worked with me on the location to make it a perfect day. He was so responsive with emails and phone calls .. he followed up every few weeks even after I booked him just to see how everything was going and to see if I needed his help with anything. The day of our wedding we met at the beach and the ceremony was beautiful .. I can honestly say it would not have been the same without Jon. I really had my heart set on an authentic Hawaiian ceremony and Jon rearranged his teaching schedule to accommodate our time of day because he knew how much that meant to me. All my family and friends commented on how wonderful he was and what a super nice guy he was also. He really went out of his way to make our wedding very special. What can we say, Jon is an absolute legend and delivered a very beautiful and heartwarming cultural Hawaiian ceremony. His passion for his native Hawaii shone through with every word he shared and his humour and positive presence calmed many nerves. His communication was outstanding from the day we contacted him (which was almost 8 months prior to our wedding date from a different country) to the day of our wedding. Jon tied the natural elements of Hawaii, with the native language and his traditional attire to really compliment our beachfront event. Our wedding couldn't have been anymore perfect and this is in large to Jon and his memorable ceremony. If you want a real Hawaiian wedding, here's your guy!!! Thanks mate, we will never forget this wonderful day.

Kuahiwi is fantastic! He was able to officiate our small wedding ceremony within a few days' notice, and was very knowledgeable about the marriage laws on the island, answering all of our questions thoroughly. We wanted a traditional Hawaiian ceremony with a lei exchange, and his delivery went above and beyond our expectations. He wore the traditional Hawaiian attire and started the ceremony with a conch shell blowing and Hawaiian song - he has a lovely voice! The verses were in the Hawaiian language, which he also translated in English, and were written beautifully. Overall, Kuahiwi delivered the intimate wedding ceremony of our dreams!

We were truly pleased with our wedding officiant - he was willing to perform our ceremony at short notice, and as we hadn't been to Hawaii before, he was kind enough to provide us with information and suggestions to help us plan our wedding. I ended up calling him several times to pin down details, and he answered or returned all of my calls very promptly. We really appreciated his extensive knowledge of the island and culture and his enthusiasm for sharing it with us- it made the ceremony very special and memorable.

We could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding. Kuahiwi was extremely professional and easy to communicate with prior to the wedding. 'Ae'Ike Hawaiian weddings is AMAZING!! He's mix of Hawaiian chanting and traditional vows made our wedding spiritually moving and entertaining at the same time. Jon Kuahiwi provided an amazing Hawaiian Wedding ceremony for my husband and I, in July 2014. He was very flexible, making himself available to my husband and I at really short notice (three days prior to our wedding day)

He incorporated the Hawaiian language into our ceremony, which for me (coming from New Zealand) was an amazing experience. It allowed me to be immersed in my Husband's culture and made our ceremony special and unique.

He was friendly, professional and approachable which was everything we both wanted in an officiant. We definitely felt that he provided us with an experience that neither of us will ever forget.

Kahu Kuahiwi conducts the most beautiful wedding ceremonies in Hawaii! I run a beach wedding company and he's our number one wedding officiant! We have done a lot of ceremonies together and each time, I still get goose bumps watching him perform the ceremony with such elegance and meaning.

He is very knowledgeable about the Hawaiian Culture and a very graceful person.

Kahu Kuahiwi is incredible! He was so helpful providing us many resources leading up to the wedding. He was extremely professional day of and everything went off without a hitch. Our guest really enjoyed the hawaiian touch he brought to the ceremony. Many of our guests flew in from NY and even our local guest got a kick out of it! There was a little rain before our ceremony and Kahu must be magical because once he blew the conch shell, the clouds parted and we had sunshine for the whole ceremony. Highly recommend!!!!

This was a surprise for my wife and they help me from the beginning to the end.

Kuahiwi made our small wedding a most amazing experience for me and my whole family. His standard package with flexible options made the planning a simple and easy process. We met with Kuahiwi a week before the big event to get acquainted with him and the ceremony details. Kuahiwi’s style and approach re-affirmed that we had picked the right Officiant. I had no specific requirements going in other than I wanted to keep things simple but Kuahiwi helped by describing all of the variations that were available. He gave us excellent guidance to make our decisions. The event itself was wonderful and seamless. He arrived early and was 100% prepared. Some family members said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended due to the Hawaiian / English cultural blended ceremony and additional elements like the Conch, the lei ceremony and just Kuahiwi’s style in general. He was also very flexible to adjust the timing by 20 minutes or so as we waited for the sun to go down a bit for better photos. To pass the time, he told us lots of interesting things about Hawaii and local culture. All in all I would highly recommend Kuahiwi for the great ceremony he performed, his approach to dealing with us and our family and the value we received. The only area of concern was that it took a little while to get things firmed up by email but we had lots of time and there were no issues once we committed to the event.
