Great Communication and Flexibility

I am the mother of the bride and while I rarely write a review, our experience with MaryAnn has been just wonderful. I communicated with her and we bought the dress site unseen as we had found one in a different size at a local shop. She assured us that the dress could be altered to my daughter's size without it looking "altered". My daughter flew to NYC to meet with MaryAnn and she was wonderful and very professional...fitting my daugther into her busy schedule with little notice. My daughter raved about the service she received. They even video conferenced me into the fitting. That made me so happy to be part of it. Thanks you MaryAnn. We very much look forward to seeing the dress.

Top Notch!

I’m still in disbelief about how AMAZING my experience was at Adrienne’s. From start to finish Maryann was professional, accommodating, transparent, and an overall joy to work with. In short, I took my dream wedding dress home the SAME DAY.

I was dreading dress shopping during COVID so I wanted this process to be over as fast as possible. Maryann remained in communication with me throughout the entire experience. Every question or concern that I had was addressed. I especially appreciated that she was not pushy and didn’t try to get me to spend more than necessary.

The day arrived when I need to venture very far from home to visit the boutique. Upon arrival, was an immediate temperature check and I was offered hand sanitizer. Not to mention my appointment started on time and the store was reserved just for me. Maryann gave me her full attention and was able to complete my on site alterations in 1 hour. Unbelievable! Please note that some alterations will take significantly longer depending on what is needed.

I’m thrilled to say the least. Maryann, I can’t thank you enough. I’ll send you wedding pics of my beautiful dress soon.

Perfect dress and wonderful owner

I loved working with Maryann!

Seeking an affordable option for a one-of-a-kind, modest dress, a friend of a friend recommended Adriennes. It was super easy to make an appointment, and Maryann was thoughtful and professional, and did a great job selecting dresses that would complement my figure (I'm pretty busty). Not that it mattered --- I loved the first dress she picked! She was super responsive regarding questions about fittings, and accommodated me for a final fitting prior to my move from NYC to Texas. She also worked with one of my bridesmaids who lives in NYC (and who also has a demanding schedule) to arrange an appointment to learn how to bustle my dress. The dress arrived in picture-perfect condition two weeks before the wedding. I felt beautiful and could not be happier. I would recommend Adriennes (and Maryann) without hesitation!

Wonderful local shop for wedding dresses

I bought my wedding dress with Marianne's help at Adriene's Bridal and had a WONDERFUL experience. Marianne was very helpful and patient while I was exploring different dress options over a few separate trips. I never felt pushed into making a decision.

Once I picked my dress, it was a pretty easy process to actually buy it and communicate with Marianne about when it would arrive. We had a few alteration sessions - mainly making some changes to the sleeves and neckline, plus typical stuff like hemline and bustle - and again Marianne was very patient in listening to what I wanted changed and executed well on making the changes. And I absolutely loved my bustle!

Overall, I had a really wonderful experience and was happy to shop at a local small business shop for my wedding dress. Thank you, Marianne!

Beautiful wedding gown and tailoring

Adrienne’s is a gem. I needed a dress in less than 2 months for my December wedding after having a baby in September. I visited 8 different bridal salons with no luck, hating everything I saw. Then I found Adrienne’s and the search was over! I liked everything I tried on and fell in love with a dress which hadn’t happened anywhere else. I was able to buy it off the rack and have it tailored from a size 10 down to my size (size 0-2) in a month. The work done was incredible as the dress was ornate with lace and beading. MaryAnn is personable and clearly is an expert. I am so thankful that I found Adrienne’s and that my dream wedding dress became a reality!

Adrienne's Bridal is wonderful, and Maryann is the BEST! She helped me find the perfect dress after I decided I didn't like my original dress just 4 months before the wedding. She's done so much work on the new dress, as I didn't have enough time to order my size. And she absolutely performed a miracle! I'm SO appreciative of all her help and amazing work! I feel totally at ease. Definitely go here for all your bridal and bridesmaid needs!

Maryann was my bridal dress guru throughout my wedding process. My dress fit me so perfectly and I'm still receiving compliments. She added straps to a strapless dress that I think improved the final product greatly. She was also flexible with allowing me to do fittings at her apartment over the course of the year- and even a last emergency fitting when the dress was tighter than it should have been ;) Thanks for everything Maryann!

I am so glad my daughter bought her wedding dress from Adrienne’s Bridal in NYC. The owner, Mary Ann, could not have been nicer, more helpful or more professional. The selection is wonderful and the service my daughter received regarding fittings was impeccable. We visited Adrienne’s and several other bridal shops on the same day. Adrienne’s was our first stop - and thank goodness it was. Our experience was wonderful. My daughter tried on several dresses from several designers and she looked beautiful in all of them. Mary Ann was gracious and took as much time as my daughter needed to try on different dresses. We didn’t buy anything on that first visit and went on to our second appointment. What a disaster! Unlike Mary Ann’s intimate shop, the second one was a bridal factory. We were escorted to a little corner of a large room where we waited for a salesperson. When she finally came, she ignored my daughter’s wishes for a specific style of dress. At Adrienne’s, the dresses are in full view, right on the selling floor where you can not only see them, you can touch them. At the second shop, the dresses were brought out to my daughter. The most infuriating thing was when my daughter asked for a specific designer’s dresses and was told they didn’t carry them. Clearly they did because another young woman, who was working with a different salesperson, was wearing the dress my daughter wanted to try on! After we’d been there for exactly an hour, we were dismissed and asked to make another appointment. We didn’t. The third shop, in another city provided a better experience but they simply didn’t have the selection. My daughter went back to Adrienne’s where she found the perfect dress. She had three fittings with Mary Ann who was a delight to work with. My daughter’s dress is gorgeous and she was the most beautiful bride. We had a wonderful experience at Adrienne’s from choosing the dress to the final fitting. Thank you, Mary Ann, for making my daughter’s dream come true!

My wedding dress was absolutely amazing. I had it custom made at Adriennes Bridal which is located in the Lower East Side in New York City. Maryann was super sweet and helpful. She designed a stunning long sleeve dress for me with a matching veil. My dress and veil were made of gorgeous French lace. I am so happy that I decided to go with a custom gown as I got to design the dress of my dreams. My family, friends and husband fell in love with my gown. I would totally recommend Adriennes Bridal.

Gina and her team are terrific! I was lucky to choose on of Gina's own design's and she worked with me on all of the fittings. I absolutely loved my dress and it stayed within my price range.
She is an artist, a professional, and she understands brides and their needs. They have a very unique selection. I had an extremely positive experience at Adriennes.

Gina and everyone at Adriennes were incredible. The process of having them create by dress was amazing- as my vision for the dress evolved, they made it happen. They found a way to incorporate family heirlooms for the ceremony and then add some fun to the dress for the reception!

I highly recommend Adriennes!

I went to Adrienne's after a friend of mine ordered a gorgeous wedding gown there. I loved the small, intimate feel of this gem of a bridal boutique. Gina, the owner helped me select my dress and without knowing it, I chose one of her original designs. She was amazing through the entire process from ordering the dress to the fittings to any other questions I had. She did the fittings herself (she is a former designer for vera wang). This is a no pressure- it's a breath of fresh air compared to the insanity of Kleinfeld and other bridal stores. I cannot recommend Adrienne's more - their designs run the gammut but it seems you can get a lot of value there.

Gina created the wedding dress of my dreams from scratch in under two months. Her work is stunning and her craftsmanship is excellent. She used only the highest quality materials. I had seamstresses, family members, guests, wedding vendors and other brides ooo-ing and ah-ing over my gown.

Every fitting was relaxed and relaxing, a respite for me given the stress of planning a formal wedding in three months from out of town. She was efficient, but always personable. She honored every request I made, but offered her own expert design insights, all of which we ended up using.

I had a couture dress that cost less than half what it would have if I had bought a similar style and fabric ready-made, and my dress is a one-of-a-kind, built for my body, and it fit like a glove.

I can never recommend her highly enough, and I send all of my friends to her when they announce their engagements.

Note: She sells other designers' gowns in her salon, if you'd prefer not to have a dress made. But since she's a former Vera Wang pattern-maker, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to let her create your dress herself. She also sells bridesmaids dresses, and will custom-make those, too.

(This is about the Manhattan location). Adrienne's is terrific! I loved that they had a totally manageable stock of dresses but you also have the option of designing your own dress. I was not one of the brides who wanted to go to a huge gown store, and I loved the degree of attention and good advice I got every time I went. I ended up choosing a dress designed by Gina, the owner, and so it was basically custom-made for me with all the little changes I wanted. What a treat! And it was very reasonably priced, as far as gowns go. Thank you!

Adrienne's was the first bridal shop I visited when searching for a wedding dress, and even after visiting other shops, I knew that the dress I wanted was at Adrienne's.

Before I get to the dress, a few words on the owner, Maryann. She was helpful from the get-go, giving me honest feedback about what fit well and what didn't. Note: she will only tell you this if you ask her, but she is trustworthy as she has been in the business for a long time. She is a no-nonsense New Yorker, but she and her staff are truly artists and can manage just about anything and everything. If you want to be coddled, she's probably not for you as she will honestly tell you what can and can't be realistically done. When working with Maryann, it's a good idea to try and make appointments well ahead of time and check in with her to ensure that you're on the same page about everything. If you're respectful of her and her time, she'll be respectful of you and your time as well. In my case, I can say she did deliver.

Maryann even went through the pains and troubles of creating a unique dress that had a build-out to match a much more expensive version of a dress that I liked. By the end, the dress fit like a glove and I received endless compliments on it. I know every bride gets complimented on her dress, but I really felt that the feedback was sincere - it was a dress truly like any other and I was beyond pleased with it!

So, admittedly, I was a bit nervous going into this experience having read all the negative reviews on this site. I found my absolute dream dress at Adrienne’s before I had looked online – but I am so glad I went in before stopping here, or else I might never have found my dress! The dress was a unique design by the owner, Maryann’s, daughter. Since it was a sample, I got the dress at a steal – and alterations were included! I had absolutely no issues with Maryann throughout this process. I think sometimes that brides can be a little nervous and difficult when it comes to wedding vendors, and perhaps that can rub some of them the wrong way. I treated Maryann with kindness and respect, and she did the same to me – in fact, when I left after my last fitting, she gave me a giant hug. Will you get a super attentive princess-like experience at this place, like you might at Kleinfelds? No. But that was honestly not me or my vibe, and I thoroughly enjoyed going into the store for each fitting. So if you want a million people fawning over you and absolute punctuality then maybe this isn’t the place for you. But if you want truly unique designs, a New York vendor with old school charm and character, and top-notch garment skills, check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Adrienne's was a perfect place to get my dress! From Day 1 they were extremely helpful and really pleasant. Gina, the owner, was so nice to work with! I loved my dress and got a lot of compliments.
The only criticism I would have, was that the set of buttons that comes from the manufacturer were supposed to be attached to my dress over the zipper once the final alterations were made and before I picked it up and they weren't. I didn't notice though until I put it on, so there was nothing to do. It was not a huge deal and I was the only one who noticed. The dress was still perfect and beautiful. Thanks Gina and team!

My experience with Adrienne's was great. I had been looking and looking and on the last day of dress shopping, went into Adrienne's. I found the PERFECT dress, for a great deal. It was a sample, and I got it, with alterations for....$1200.00 + tax. MaryAnn, who I believe is the owner, did a great job with fittings. I have scoliosis, and she was able to tweak the dress to make it look symmetrical from the front and back. I was so pleased, and it made me feel so beautiful and less self-conscious! My only complaints, which were minor, were that the store itself was very HOT, even with the doors open. Also, email is checked only once a day, so it took awhile to get a response regarding questions. However, I did not call the store, which I imagine would have provided a quicker response.

I would highly recommend Adrienne's to any bride!

I said yes to the dress !!

I knew I wanted a Wilderly wedding dress, and Adrienne's has the line exclusively. Maryann is very pleasant and responded to my emails quickly. After two visits, I knew which dress I wanted to wear. I appreciate the professionalism and contact as I awaited the dress to come in. Great experience all around.

I visited Adrienne's on two seperate occasions to help my maid of honor and future sister in law find their wedding attire. The boutique is small, however they have an amazing quality selection of designer dresses. Both girls found the perfect dress on their first visit and we couldn't be happier!

After reading these reviews, I was very wary. However, I found my dress in this shop, and it was a perfect sample. The original would've cost $1000 more at Kleinfeld, plus alterations.
Maryanne said she would include alterations, cups, dyed shoes to match, etc. for free. I bought the dress, I paid for it, I made appointments for my fittings, I went and she did an excellent job. My dress was gorgeous. We never had any rescheduling problems. The only problem we ever had was having to wait while she finished another girl. That was it.

Maryanne is definitely understaffed, and her personality is very to-the-point. She's not the type to coo and sigh over you. But she's very nice, and she does an excellent job. My dress fit perfectly and was completely gorgeous. She was really great.

I spent all summer looking for the perfect dress and couldn't find anything that wasn't strapless, wasn't tremendous and didn't weigh 100 pounds. Adrienne's was one of the last places I came across and found my perfect dress within minutes of explaining to the staff what I wanted and what I didn't want. They listened and I ended up with a gorgeous dress that was affordable. Though I found the scheduling a bit inflexible, overall I was very happy. The seamstress did amazing work and I was comfortable and felt beautiful on my wedding day.

I bought my reception dress from the long island location. It was actually a prom dress that took over 4 months to get and was only supposed to take two. The dress was a huge hit, but I did feel that although it was my second wedding dress they really could care less because it wasn't my first.
