    Excellent food and service!

    For our wedding in October 2021 in Mount Joy, my husband and I wanted a local caterer and delicious BBQ. We got everything we could have asked for with Acorn Farms catering! For our tasting, which happened during a peak in COVID, they provided us with a box to take home, which contained enough food for a tasting plus a week’s worth of warm-ups; everything was delicious and they were so generous from the beginning. After looking at the all-inclusive off-site wedding package, we knew we found the right caterer. We got the pulled pork, sausage and peppers in red sauce, mac and cheese, and green beans with bacon as a buffet at our venue. Acorn Farms provided an abundance of food (that we got to enjoy for the entire week after the wedding as well) and took care of all our catering needs. They brought extras of everything to make sure we had enough, and truly made our wedding day incredible. We are so pleased with our decision to have Acorn Farms cater our wedding!

    Everything was perfect

    Cynthia and all of the staff were amazing with helping us create our wedding day. The venue is beautiful. Everyone thought the food was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better day.

    Great Food, Great Staff, Great Service!

    Everyone at Acorn Farms was helpful, friendly, and professional. The food was delicious! We went with the buffet dinner option and they told us to bring coolers so they could pack up the extra food for us. The food was so good that people went back for seconds and thirds. There were only two small containers of food left for us to bring home! Perfect to have the next day before we left for our honeymoon.

    Phil, Nancy, and Cynthia are wonderful! Everything we needed, asked for, and wanted was accommodated! Although the weather was not so nice to us, we still managed to have a beautiful wedding and beautiful pictures thanks to these 3! They made sure we were still able to get the pictures outside that we wanted. We did run into some mistakes/issues, and when brought to their attention they were quick to help, fix, and compromise with us.

    Spring Wedding

    We had our wedding at Acorn Farms and it was lovely. The venue was beautiful and the staff were accommodating and flexible. The food was fantastic and guests commented about how good it was. Acorn Farms is a wonderful place to get married and very reasonably priced. We recommend Acorn Farms to anyone looking for a venue!

    Our daughters wedding was absolutely beautiful. The staff Nancy and Cynthia did an amazing job with last minute changes that arose due to Mother Nature. The food was phenomenal, family still talking about the food almost a month after the wedding.

    Phil and Nancy did an exceptional job with our wedding. It was absolutely beautiful, very accommodating for our special wishes for our day. There was nothing for me to worry about at all I knew it was all taken care of by Phil and or Nancy were there to assist. Just outstanding, above and beyond very Happy that I chose to invest in this venue for my wedding.

    Acorn Farms is WONDERFUL!!!

    We worked with Lauren for planning our wedding reception and she made planning SO MUCH EASIER and a heck of a lot more fun!!!!

    The venue itself is the typical dinner venue, but what really sets Acorn Farms apart from other venues is the staff!!!! Between working with Lauren on the details and the extremely friendly/willing to go above and beyond staff; you really will struggle to find anywhere else that even comes close!

    On top of all of that, the food was PHENOMENAL! !!! We had 150 guests and our dinner was buffet style, every one of our guests raved about the food and I'd definitely have to agree, the quality and flavors were mind blowing!!!

    I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a venue that truly will do what it takes to make your day PERFECT!!!

    One of the most accommodating venues in the area. We wanted to have our reception there very badly, but due to family issues we had to locate it closer to home.

    Our reception was beautiful here. Jill and her team did everything for us. It made it so much easier for us knowing that so many of the details were going to be taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy our day.

    We used Acorn Farms for catering our wedding reception (held at Harvest View barn, nearby). The food was delicious. We did the buffet stations and our guests gave rave reviews on the food as well.

    Acorn Farms does everything for you - give them all of your ceremony and/or reception stuff - and they set it up for you. The day of manager - Danielle was fabulous. Jill - the overall manager was nice - but lacks the personality for her job. Everyone loved the spot and food. Very convenient to major highway.

    It was very well organized, but the facility itself could use a nice makeover and some updating. Overall they were happy to do just about anything we asked!

    When paying more for Filet Mignon make sure that is what you are getting. We paid $306 more and it looked like slices of beef tenderloin, not filets.
    They said the card box and gifts would be locked up and they were not. People had 3 ways to walk in and out of that room AND the girls purses were there and opened. The bride(my daughter's) wallet was missing. I was busy attending to this when they did the bride and her dad's dance.
    The smokeless candles were not turned on, only LED lights and butterflies.
    The food was not worth the money we paid.
    The runner for the outside wedding wasn't tacked down securely, and the wedding party were all looking down as not to fall including me.
    It was hard to find the main people when you needed help.
    I know Lauren, the event planned left 3 weeks before my daughter's wedding and a lot of details were not noted. I even met with owners before and things still ended up not being done. I would not go there again. Not worth all that money.

    Mrs. Reilly, It pains me to think you could not enjoy your beautiful daughters wedding day. Our entire staff worked tirelessly for weeks to prepare the site, food, and setting for Shannon. Beef Tenderloin IS Filet Mignon! The whole filets were cooked to perfection and carved giving each guest as much as they asked for. Every penny of the Filet surcharge goes to the cost of that very expensive cut of beef!!! Our clients belongings are personal items which we can't be responsible for---HOWEVER, the purses and gifts were under constant supervision and NOTHING was missing at the end of the event, a few things were temporarily misplaced. Our facility's charges are substantially under the costs at most of our competitors. There were countless compliments to our food, service and facility by the bride, groom and every guest I spoke with throughout the wedding---it saddens me greatly that you could not be a part of that fun party.

    NOTE: Our daughter's wedding was in 2011. Hopefully improvements have been made.
    Initially they were great to work with, but when the tablecloths were setup wrong, they didn't want to correct the problem. Two of the 3 entrees tasted terrible; the third was tasty but looked unappealing. We later found out numerous guests shared this opinion. There were additional minor problems I shall not bother listing. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this venue. Sadly, parents of the bride. (Request a sample meal before paying. They said our food was prepared correctly.)

    Terrible experience

    I attended a wedding at this venue recently, and I must say it fell short of expectations. The outdoor back area, where the ceremony was held, appeared pleasant, and the maintenance was satisfactory. However, the owner, Anita, was a terrible person to deal with. Despite not being the event coordinator, she bossed people around and treated the guests poorly by being impolite and nasty. She forced everyone to stay outside in the scorching heat, which was nearly 90 degrees, while they waited for the wedding to start. She remained rude throughout the reception, disrupting guests and shouting at them about a door being left open. Her behavior was so unbearable that the bride broke down in tears, and the groom and guests were extremely frustrated with her behavior. Her unprofessionalism was unacceptable, and I do not recommend this venue for any event, especially not a wedding.
