    Service Excellence

    ACME isn't a fancy name and doesn't have a fancy website. But I couldn't recommend a better group of people to cater your wedding. It's about quality, appearance, and taste of the food, but it's also about experience, reliability, and quality of the service. Alisa was very professional and caring, and arrived with an awesome staff. They were all friendly and attentive to our guests. The settings were elegant. The cleanup was worry free. Everything exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a better value!

    New Year's Eve Cake

    Our wedding cake was spectacular! Acme really out-did themselves for our NYE wedding. They made our vision come to life and exceeded our expectations. The almond and chocolate flavors (plus buttercream frosting) were to die for! They were awesome to work with and delivered the cake to our venue right on time. We received so many compliments on our cake. I will only order cake from here from now on. We would recommend Acme a million times over.

    Ashley was so great! She is so sweet and she gave us exactly what we asked for! Our cake was SO beautiful and we received endless compliments on how delicious it was! Highly recommend!

    We had a small cake for us to cut for the photos then used sheet cakes for the guests after dinner. The cake tasted great and we saved a lot of money by going with Acme, compared to some of the cake shops that we also checked out , that kept trying to pressure us into going overboard.

    The cake was beautiful and delicious! Ashley was so nice and helpful right away at our tasting appointment! The price can't be beat!

    We initially tasted the chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling at a bridal show about a year before our wedding...no other cakes samples could compare to this!! Working with Ashley at Acme Catering was so fun. We were able to taste many different types of cakes, fillings and frostings. We also couldn't believe how affording our cake was (delivery was also included in price)!!! So pleased with our wedding cake experience.

    Alisa and the staff at Acme catering did an amazing job with the food, display, and service on our wedding day. Our guests are still raving about the food and how memorable the whole day was. Alisa was awesome to work with in planning our menu and the execution of the day was flawless- if there were any issues you'd never know because the day couldn't have been more lovely and Alisa's calm and controlled demeanor was very appreciated. My husband and I can't thank Alisa and Acme catering enough for their wonderful food and service and were blessed to have chosen them as a key vendor. They definitely made it an unforgettable and awesome wedding day! Thanks again!!!

    What an amazing job they did on our Disney Happily Ever After cake. All of our guests couldn't get enough of our June 2015 wedding cake. Will definitely be ordering all future cakes from Acme Fresh Market. Gotta try the banana cake...yum!

    The cake was beautiful you could not tell it was not professionally made. We showed them a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like and they made it happen. I was very impressed. The cake we choose was red velvet and butter cream frosting. It was so moist and sweet. I was impressed and would continue to buy cakes from them in the future.

    Our wedding cake turned out amazing! The bakery was so easy to work with and even contacted the reception hall for us and coordinated the delivery of the cake. Acme had the best cake we tasted for the most reasonable price, which included a filling and many flavor options. We were extremely happy with our wedding cake!

    I couldn't have been more pleased with the way our cocktail hour / reception food was prepared & served. Theresa at Acme is wonderful!! She is such a great coordinator & gets exactly what you want & her staff gets it how you want it to look. They were all great & friendly to work with. Our reception was perfect thanks for Theresa!!

    If I could give them a 10, I would. From start to finish Acme Catering was INCREDIBLE. I can't say enough about how incredible they were. We worked with Teresa who was beyond organized and responsive. She helped us with every step of the catering process and went above and beyond in assisting with the decorations and the flow of the entire reception. Our event went so well because of her and the Acme staff.

    The food was absolutely delicious. Chef Marc is so talented. The food we had during our tasting was so perfect. Even better, the food we had at the reception tasted just as good - if not better than the first time we had tasted it. Their attention to detail is incredible and I would recommend them to anyone getting married with the Akron/Cleveland area. Thank you again Acme!!

    We just went to Acme for a small 6in cake to serve as our topper/anniversary cake. They decorated it fabulously, they were extremely cheap!

    My cake was AMAZING!!!!

    Myra was my consultant, and she was FANTASTIC!!! I had gone to the Acme Food Show, and got to taste/see some of their cakes there. I found out they offer a free cake tasting at the cake center for up to four (4) people, which includes (from what I remember) 5 cake bites per person (Chocolate, Vanilla, Marble, Carrot, Banana) and a tray of 5 fillings (Whipped Cream, Bavarian Cream, Cherry, Strawberry, Pineapple) and you got mix and taste as you wanted to.

    Then, I told her there were two cakes I was trying to choose between, with one I liked a little more than the other but just wasn't sure how it look (everything is different in the photo). She told me, for $20 the bakery would make the top layer of my cake for me to see, and taste to make sure it is what I wanted. Then, if I decided to go with that cake, the $20 would be deducted from the price of my Wedding Cake!! Since I already knew I loved the cake's flavor, I thought this was a GREAT deal, so I had them make the top layer, and it was BEAUTIFUL!!

    Now, as everyone has, I had issues that needed to be worked out, but after talking with Myra, they didn't even seem like issues.

    Problem 1:the groom liked a cake the bride didn't
    Solution 1: you can make each layer a different flavor/filling combo, or all the same, and it isn't an extra cost, or problem.

    Problem 2: My colors were Chocolate Brown and Ivory, and the cake was Fondant with Frosting Flowers, but the brother of the bride/groomsman is allergic to Chocolate.
    Solution 2: No chocolate on the cake at all!! Used food coloring to perfectly match all brown (fondant/buttercream) and made it look beautiful.

    Problem 3: Budget/Cost. Cakes, are not cheap!! And when you want a very specific cake to feed 150+ people, it can get costly quick.
    Solution 3: We went with the 3 tier cake instead of a 4 or even 5 tier, because of cost, and then had a sheet cake in the back with the same cake/filling option, and after the first piece was cut, the venue took the cake back to the kitchen to plate for our guests, and nobody even knew there were two cakes!!!

    All in all, Acme is awesome for Wedding cakes, you would be totally surprised!! I have photos of my cake in my photos section, and if you can see them, message me as I love showing it off!!!

    Acme provided a stunning cake for our reception! We had four tiers; at no extra cost each tier was a different cake flavor and filling [white with strawberry, marble with raspberry, carrot with cream cheese, and our top section was again marble with raspberry]. they listened to our every design idea and request, showed us samples relating directly to want we wanted, and were completely upfront about their capabilities. Payments could be made in installments, and for a very reasonable fee, they delivered the cake, assembled the tiers, and positioned the topper so everything was set when our guests arrived at the reception. The one-on-one sessions with the consultant ensure that everyone is aware of all details. Having Acme provide our wedding cakes is a family tradition as myself, 3 cousins, and several aunts have used their services at their weddings. Not once have we had an issue with design, taste, delivery, or setup. For delicious, moist, and beautiful cake, choose Acme!

    My experience with Acme Catering was fabulous. From the very beginning when I walked into the initially meet with Teresa, everythings was handled professionally. When ever I had a question, I received prompt answers...I had such personal service that I would have never ever guessed that I was not Acme's only client.

    I asked for small additions in order to make our wedding special and Teresa was able to grant my request without hesitation. She went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything that I needed.

    The service from the wait staff was outstanding. Our guest wanted for nothing. I have not sent thank yous to Acme yet because I am still thinking of a special way to express just how much I appreciate their service.

    Cake tasting was wonderful, many samples were provided for cake favors, fillings, and icings. Ashley Beltrano made and decorated our cake and it was absolutely beautiful. Delivery was great, even a little earlier than scheduled!

    I grew up in Stow and had an Acme grocery store nearby me as I grew up. So when booking Hale Farm & Village for our venue for the reception and I saw that Acme Catering was listed on their preferred catering list I initially wrote them off thinking how could a grocery store be that great of a caterer? I AM SO GLAD I CHANGED MY MIND! We went to their huge wedding tasting at Stan Hywett and we were SOLD. The food was fantastic and on the day of, they did ABOVE AND BEYOND with setting up all our tables AND decorations along with making all the food. We couldn't set up ANYTHING until around 3 PM and guests were to arrive at 5:30 PM and they busted it out. I would DEF recommend them! :) Theresa is AWESOME!

    My husband and I wanted to go with something different for our wedding cake, and Acme was there to help us pull it off. We decided to for-go the traditional wedding cake, and instead have individual cupcakes. By the end of the night everyone was asking where they were from-- little did they know they were from the supermarket down the street. The only downfall was the lack of flexibility when it came to the flavors, but again, we were so satisfied with them that at the end of the night it didn't matter.

    Acme made a gorgeous cake for us - it was exactly what I envisioned. It was very reasonably priced, and one of the best cakes I tasted throughout my whole planning process. Acme is a great cake vendor for any bride on a budget. I was very glad we chose them!

    We used Acme Fresh Market Catering for our wedding cake. We went in not expecting much more than their normal grocery store bakery cakes, but it was so much more! Myra helped us through our tasting and showed us many lovely designs. They do not do custom designs, but there are ways to dress up each cake in your own way (for instance, we had lilac and turquoise flowers on our cake). The cake was delicious, and so much less expensive than other places we looked at. If nothing else, the other cakes were definitely not the 2-10x the price they are charging! All around great experience.

    Red velvet

    Cake is cake. We are not big desert people so just any old cake was good for us. My only complaint is that I felt overwhelmed when my mom and I came in to taste and order a cake. Picking the flavor was easy. Choose cake, icing, and filling (if desired) from a short list of available items. But designing the cake was more like "what do you want" and I am not artsy. I was hoping for just a few options but we were then faced with hundreds of photos of other cakes. So do your research first and go in with an idea of how you want the cake to look.
