Kat is incredible and has so much talent.

Kat was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. From the very beginning, she made the process so easy and stress-free. While our first trial went really well, I had a few new ideas and Kat couldn’t have been more patient and kind—she happily scheduled a second trial at the convenience of my own home, right before my rehearsal dinner. That level of flexibility and care says everything about her professionalism and dedication.

On my wedding day, she took my vision and brought it to life flawlessly. Not only did she make me feel absolutely stunning, but she also worked her magic on my cousins, leaving everyone glowing and confident. I received endless compliments all night on both my hair and makeup, and I truly couldn’t have been happier with the results.

Beyond her talent, Kat is extremely fairly priced—especially for the top-tier quality she delivers. She’s an incredible artist, a true professional, and just a joy to be around. I can’t recommend her enough to any bride looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make them feel their most beautiful.

Love my makeup and hair

Kat was absolutely awesome! She is super talented and passionate about what she does.

From the beginning, she was attentive and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. I shared my vision for my hair and makeup, and on the wedding day, she put everything together beautifully.

She made me feel so beautiful, confident, and completely myself, which meant so much on my wedding day. I received countless compliments on my hair and makeup. I learned new techniques from her as well.

A talented artist for my most memorable day

Michelle was AMAZING. Her work was immaculate and she was thoughtful, meticulous, and honestly had such a good peaceful energy. She mopped up my tears and touched up my hair and makeup perfectly, I feel very lucky that I got to have her on my team for my wedding. My mom was also so in love with her eyelashes and I know Michelle spent some time with her to get them just right and she was so happy and grateful for it.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

The first thing I want to say is how extremely happy I am with how my makeup and hair turned out for my wedding. I felt absolutely beautiful! My makeup and hair lasted all night without any touch ups and looked flawless the whole time. She was on time and did exactly what I asked for. I initially did the trial and the colors weren’t me, had nothing to do with my makeup artist, she executed the photo I showed her perfectly. We were able to pivot and figured out what worked for me. I say this because sometimes when you feel like you should just go to another artist isn’t always the solution, it’s about figuring out what works for you. I couldn’t have asked for a better makeup and hair artist. She is so sweet and kind. Love that I can have a conversation with her and she was protective of making sure I was ready and fully done before the Photogrpaher was trying to get me out for my photos. Which I highly appreciated because the day of wedding is so stressful and people are pulling you all ways and she made sure that I was fully done and felt my absolute best before sending me out for photos. She also did my moms hair and she absolutely loved it! Look no further for your hair and makeup, absolutely beautiful is the place you will not regret hiring for the most important day of your life!

The best glam squad a bride could ask for!

I can't recommend Absolutely Beautiful highly enough! From the trial to the final look on my wedding day, Jasmine and Erin took such great care to make my bridal hair and makeup dreams come true. Erin gave me the most glamorous makeup look I've ever worn, and it lasted all day and night! She also did the makeup for most of my bridesmaids, and they were equally thrilled and looked stunning. Jasmine and I went on a bit of a journey to find my final hairstyle, but she was so incredibly patient and collaborative through the whole process. We did 2 trials and kept tweaking until it was perfect. They helped bring the exact princess bridal aesthetic I was hoping for to fruition, and I couldn't have been happier!

On the wedding day, we also had Veronica helping with hair and makeup for one of my bridesmaids and both my mom and mother-in-law. She was also fantastic! My mom was a bit picky with her hairstyle, and Veronica was exceedingly patient with making adjustments until my mom had the look she wanted. I'm so grateful to the entire team for not only making me feel beautiful, but also for making all the most important ladies in my life feel gorgeous and confident, too. Thanks for everything!!

My october 2025 wedding

I got married back on a Thursday, 10/23/2025 in DTLA @ City Club LA.

After 7 total makeup trials, I finally found Kat & Eri! This is my first marriage (& hopefully only) & I'm extremely picky! lol...

I originally hired a separate MUA & Hairstylist but I realized that paying them separately was just way too much & over exceeded my budget. Ultimately, I hired Kat Laskey as my MUA & Eri Tsuno as my Hairstylist. They not only were affordable, but they were also on time, professional, friendly; patient, kind, & made my Mom, my bridal party & I look & feel beautiful!!! 10/10 highly recommended the Absolutely Beautiful Brides team!

Amazing HMU artist!!

Kat was amazing!! I asked for glam makeup and Hollywood curls, and she delivered seamlessly. She's also amazing with updos! My HMU lasted all day and still looked amazing at the end of the night. Another plus is that she's super responsive throughout the whole process. I'd highly recommend!!

AMAZING, Felt Like an Old Hollywood Bride

I utilized Absolutely Beautiful for my wedding this past May, and Kat along with her team, Jasmine and Erin, were INCREDIBLE to work with to say the least. I selected the “Queen for a Day” package, and let me tell you this was the most relaxed, carefree part of my day. As a bride, I couldn’t ask for a better getting ready experience! This included hair & makeup for myself, 5 bridesmaids as well as the mother of the bride and mother of the groom. It also eased a lot of stress by having hair & makeup touchups until right before the reception for the bride.

My bridesmaids and moms all LOVED how their hair and makeup turned out for the big day. As for my hair & makeup, Kat absolutely NAILED the look I was going for. I was really happy with the trial, and somehow, on the day of my wedding she even managed to exceed my expectations here.

I like a full glam makeup look, and requested a “Hollywood glam” wave/curl, which I know requires a ton of skill and maintenance throughout the day. Kat absolutely hit it out of the park with how I wanted to look on the big day. My Ceremony was at 6:00 PM and my after party lasted until 5:00 AM (Yes, AM!). My hair and makeup managed to last just as long as the party did, which is insanely impressive! I felt like the most beautiful version of myself on my wedding day, and words cannot express how grateful I am that I went with Kat for the big day. At the end of it all, I didn’t want to take my hair and makeup off. In the future, I hope to reach out to Kat again to recreate this look for another event – that’s how much I LOVED it!!

Didn’t know I could look this good!

Kat and her team were wonderful! She listened to what I wanted for my own bridal makeup/hair and really made me feel the utmost confident on my big day! Not to mention how amazing her team is! Shout out to Veronica for dealing with my indecisive mother at the end of the day she was happy with everything! All my lovely bridesmaids looked just as beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a more flexible and positive team! If I would do anything again it would be to have this team present as they made sure to put me at easy and work with my crazy group! I hope that if ever an occasion arises again I can have them by my side again!

Great overall experience with Kat and her team!

Kat and her team recently did the make up for my wedding, and my friends and family all loved the service quality and overall experience.

Kat was incredibly attentive and was a calming presence. She took the time to understand my vision and preferences, and during the trial session, she took copious notes to ensure we achieved the exact look I wanted. As someone who doesn't usually wear makeup, I still felt natural/like myself.

Overall Kat and her team were extremely friendly and professional, and I would definitely recommend them!

I've Never Looked More Beautiful!

Kat and her team were so absolutely incredible! First, she really took the time to make sure that I looked good and felt amazing (I really don't know too much about makeup and hair, so her help here was so appreciated). Her team was professional and kind and kept us on time (we did my bridal hair and makeup + hair & makeup for 7 bridesmaids plus my mom). Everyone looked beautiful! Lastly, I danced SO HARD at my wedding and my makeup and hair still looked so good at the end of the night. Idk what magic Kat worked to keep me from looking like a swamp witch by the end of the night but I literally couldn't recommend her more!

Kat is absolutely perfect

Kat made us all feel so beautiful on a really wonderful wedding day. She is kind, patient, and attentive - she is particularly good at making you feel like "a better version of yourself", and my bridesmaids, mum, and mother-in-law, none of whom regularly wear much makeup, all expressed how beautiful they all felt.

I felt absolutely lovely, and my hair in particular was beyond perfect. The day could not have gone better.

Cannot recommend highly enough!

I cannot recommend Kat Laskey and Absolutely Beautiful highly enough.
I really struggled to find someone I was excited about based on portfolios/websites, since the end product is so dependent on a bride's personal taste - I felt like I just kept seeing lots of polished curls and sleek updos everywhere I looked (which are beautiful! just not exactly what I envisioned for myself) and wasn't sure if I would be able to find someone who could make me look like a gorg, upgraded version of myself vs. just a generic beautiful bride.
As soon as I started working with Kat, all those fears totally melted away. At our trial and on the day of, she worked with me to create (and then execute) the perfect look. She was honest with me, pushing back gently when I was headed the wrong direction (for example, my initial inspiration photos were hyper glowy & highlighter-heavy and she explained that, without editorial lighting like all the models I was looking at were using, I would just end up photographing kinda greasy), but still honoring the spirit of what I wanted. I used Glamsquad for my rehearsal dinner the day before, and while those ladies did a great job, it was night and day between your average makeup/hair artist and the magic Kat worked. My makeup looked stunning, yet still totally like myself. And my HAIR you guys, my hair. It was this beautiful, boho look with beachy waves, braids and a fishtail - the type of thing you've seen and drooled over on the internet, but never in real-life.
I was beyond thrilled with how Kat made me look, but almost better was how she worked with my mom - my mom (in her mid-60s) almost never wears makeup, and has never had her makeup done professionally in her life. She looked unbelievable that day. Kat kept it a little lighter so my mom would be comfortable, but it still looked glam and beautiful. I think my mom spent more time talking about Kat that day than she did about me - and she was right to!

Not only did Kat make us all look amazing, but she was also an incredible presence. Personality-wise, she is a perfect blend of super easygoing yet still a total perfectionist. I am super high-strung, and I was unbelievably nervous the morning of the wedding. Kat could clearly sense it, and began telling stories and asking questions, and just picking up the mood and calming me down in general. Wayyyy outside of the job description, but absolutely set the tone for the rest of the day - by the time she was done, I was actually looking forward to getting up there and having everyone's eyes on me!

P.S. Kat does every wedding herself, and brings additional teammates as needed, so don't worry about going with Absolutely Beautiful based on the reviews for Kat and getting stuck with the b-team!

Look like the best version of yourself!

Hands down Kat and team are ABSOLUTELY the best wedding make-up team! Kat was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process and was the person who kept me sane and centered on my big day. I had the privilege to hire Kat do my hair and make-up trial for my engagement photoshoot and was so pleased was the outcome. I of course hired her right away for my big day since I was having a hard time finding vendors I liked in the desert area. It was really important that both my wedding party and I didn't look over processed, and that is what Kat and team deliver. You really look like the best version of yourself with this team. Kat and team drove all the way out to Rancho Mirage (a 2 1/2-hour drive from LA) and arrived right on time. I had a big wedding party (13 people total getting hair and makeup done) and her team flawlessly powered through the timeline, without compromising the quality. Everyone loved how they looked! I can't recommend her enough!

Calming presence and great hair / makeup artist

I was planning my LA wedding from NYC and was introduced to Kat through my wedding planner (SoCal Wedding Consultant). From Kat's portfolio and description, I decided to schedule a trial. Kat was friendly, understanding and patient at the trial (done waaaaay in advanced) and she was able to replicate and iterate on what we trialed for my wedding day. On the day of, Kat was a calming presence and really helped me prep and get excited about the rest of the day. Kat and her team were gracious, patient, and professional with everybody, and we were all really pleased with our hair and makeup. My hair and makeup held up throughout the whole event, even after some vigorous dancing/sweating/crying :)

Beautiful Wedding Make-Up!

Kat did SUCH an amazing job doing the make-up on myself and my wedding party! I have never felt so beautiful in my life, and the makeup stayed perfect through the entire night. Amazing Hair and Makeup :)

Arguably the most important decision for the wedding day (aside from the dress of course) is hair and makeup. I trialed 3 makeup artists around LA and my third was the charm :) Kat not only did a beautiful job on my hair and makeup both at the trial and at the wedding, she also made up my mom and my bestie as well! My mom has never had her makeup done professionally, and she loved it!!! Kat is also an incredible person and I enjoyed getting to know her through this process :) She is professional, incredibly versatile, and knows what looks good. I've never had my hair hold a curl for 2 days, she made that happen, and that's how you know your hair will stay in place for the whole wedding day. The makeup also stayed put, I have oily skin and that's always been a battle for me, but it all stayed in place! Save yourself the money from makeup trials that did not work out and go straight to Kat Laskey :)

Absolute Perfection

Kat and her team were amazing. I had 8 bridesmaids, 2 jr bridesmaids and 2 mothers. They were on time, organized and made everyone look gorgeous in the most natural way possible. Even my bridesmaids who hate getting their make up done loved how it turned out. Generally, Kat was super responsive and super on top of things. My trial was easypeasy, and she really outdid herself on my wedding day. I've never felt more beautiful....the hair and make up were exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend Absolutely Beautiful!

Kat is a wonderful makeup and hair artist! I am so glad that I found her. My wedding was in Los Angeles, but I found Kat online while I was still back home living in Toronto. Miraculously, she also happened to be in Toronto, and was flexible enough to set up a meeting with me for coffee and a consultation! I knew within minutes of speaking with Kat that I was going to choose her for my day. She was easy to talk to, listened to my ideas for my vision of the day, and offered her own suggestions as well. I did my own makeup but had Kat do my hair, which she knocked out of the park! She and Nicoletta did such a beautiful job on hair and makeup on the day of my wedding. My hair was exactly how I had envisioned it from the beginning! My bridesmaids all looked phenomenal, and the makeup/hair translated beautifully on camera as well. Kat had a detailed schedule of the day so that we would all be on time for photos and the ceremony. I am so pleased with the organization, professionalism, and talent of Kat and her team. I would definitely recommend to other brides!

The ladies of Absolutely Beautiful with Kat Laskey are incredible! I didn’t actually have Kat on my wedding day—she was booked by the time I inquired—but she directed me toward some of the artists she works with, and they were unbelievably great. I had a large wedding party (14 people getting hair and makeup), and she set up a flawless schedule that incorporated everyone, and we all LOVED the way we looked! I had Nicoletta for hair and Tanika for makeup, and they made me feel so relaxed (and gorgeous) on my wedding day. I’m so thankful I booked with Kat!

Book as soon as you can!!! My original artist fell through and I was on a search for someone reliable just months before the wedding. Luckily I came across Kat's website and submitted a quote request. She called me within an hour. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better "getting ready" team for the morning of our wedding. All my bridesmaids said they were so relaxed and they didn't want to leave! Kat and Jackie and Tay were so amazingly talented!! Everyone was so happy!! Thank you, Kat!!!

KAT IS AMAZING!!! This review is very much long overdue! I got married in February earlier this year, and am so glad I had Kat to do my hair and makeup, and my girl's makeup. (Only reason the girls didn't do their hair with her is we had already planned for a family friend do it, otherwise Kat would've been the one!).She truly is amazing at what she does and I would use her over and over again! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who gives you an absolutely beautiful finish at the end, all the while giving you a natural look. I knew after the makeup/hair trial that I would go with Kat. My first instinct when I looked in the mirror that time was "Wow, this is Amazing". Not only is she talented, but she has such a wonderful, kind personality as well. I also appreciated her asking me if I wanted her to get me any makeup to keep with me throughout the night. I trusted her, she bought me the lip color, I reimbursed her and it was perfect. Kat even followed up with me a couple months later to see how the newlyweds were doing. I cannot say enough how thankful I am to have had Kat. Kat is the absolute BEST!!! My hairstylist fell through a few weeks before my wedding and my wedding coordinator recommended Kat, so I booked her right away! Kat came to my house to do both my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner as a trial and it was PERFECT! I didn't have any changes for her to make :) She has a way of enhancing your features that look beautiful in person as well as in photos. I felt glamorous, but I still looked like me! During my trial I was ready to book her immediately. I didn’t have a clear vision on what I wanted to look like on my wedding day, and after chatting with Kat and having her get to know me and my skin, she made me feel absolutely beautiful while still looking like myself. On top of her skills, she has an incredibly calming and positive energy that I knew I wanted to start the morning of my wedding with, and I’m so glad I did!

Kat arrived the morning of the big day early to set up and prepare. She and her assistant followed the schedule exactly (which she sent out months in advance), and made each of my bridesmaids and the moms look gorgeous! Many of the girls had a photo or two to share, and with that limited information the MUAs made everyone so glamorous without overdoing it, and everyone’s hairstyle was uniquely different. Many of us were hesitant about fake eyelashes and Kat was able to choose specific lashes for each girl that they ALL looked natural – it was incredible for those of us who had never wore them before. I can’t rave about her enough and HIGHLY recommend booking her for your event!

Kat was absolutely fantastic!! She was always available throughout the process and had great follow they with her communication. She checked in to see how I was doing and explained all that needed to be done. She showed up on the day early- the arrival time was 6:45 am!! I had a small party but she took her time with each person and did a great job with both the hair and makeup. My MOH and mother looked amazing! Her patience with my indecision's was so appreciate and by the end of the morning it was perfect. I requested additional hours for touch up and her associate Jamie was incredible.. She touched up myself and even the groom during picture- was very hot during the day! I felt so pretty and owe it to this team! I would recommend them tho anyone

This review is way overdue but Kat knows I'm currently deployed and I didn't want to rush into a short review because Kat and her team deserve an amazing review! I was planning a wedding in LA from Hawaii. I met Kat thru my wedding planner Jackie Murphy. I met Kat for the first time at my trial. I brought my oldest and youngest daughters with me and Kat was super sweet and patient with them. I showed her pictures of how I wanted my hair and she did exactly what I wanted! As she was doing my hair and make-up she asked questions and asked for my honest opinion. She wanted me to be completely satisfied with her work and I was! The day of my wedding Kat and her team showed up to the hotel on time. They did hair and make-up for myself, my maid of honor, my mother and my 4 daughters (3 junior BM's and a flower girl). At my request, they added extensions to my hair and my oldest daughter's hair. My hair and make-up was FLAWLESS!! I cannot express how extremely satisfied I was with everything! My mother absolutely loved her hair and make-up and my daughter's looked beautiful! I also paid for the extra make-up artist to come to the church because I knew I was going to cry and would need a touch-up. She took care of me and my whole bridal party. My hair and make-up lasted all day & night!! WOW!! Kat, I cannot express how truly grateful I am that Jackie recommended you! You made me look and feel gorgeous! Kat was fantastic! I'm not super knowledgable about hair and makeup, and she definitely helped me figure out what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. At the trial, I felt like she was really listening to what I was saying, and by the end of it I was really confident about working with her for the wedding! She is super friendly and personable without being overly assertive. She worked with me to create a schedule for the 11 people we had getting hair and makeup done. It could have been a really stressful, grumpy kind of day with all those people and a tight schedule, but we had so much fun! Kat and her team were friendly, professional, and on time. I felt really beautiful (maybe more so than ever before) while still feeling very much that I looked like myself. She was affordable, professional, and really really really good at her job. To start, I wish there were 10 stars to give to Kat instead of 5! I hired Kat as my hair + makeup person for my wedding in May 2015. We did a trial session about 5 months before my wedding at her house and I knew immediately I wanted to use her on the big day because of her demeanor - she's incredibly easy to be around and had great reviews from people wanting a similar natural look. Fast forward to the big day and Kat was perfectly on time, full of suggestions for people's looks and such an incredible addition in the hotel room getting ready. Everyone loved being around her and her suggestions for their looks - from bridesmaids to my mom and mother of the groom. But the best part of having Kat there was how INSANELY good everyone looked. Everyone genuinely looked like an enhanced version of themselves (keeping to the natural look) but glammed up for the big day. I went last and kept raving and raving about each person as they completed their makeup and it was insane how gorgeous everyone was. Then, Kat did my hair and makeup and I honestly have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. She even incorporated some hair jewelry that was a little hard to get to stay in, but she made it work! My hair and makeup stayed the entire night (inclusive of extensions) and I felt incredible. I cannot rave about Kat enough or suggest you use her enough - she's the absolute best!!!

I did a little research online and wasn't sure how to pick a makeup artist for my wedding (it was in June). I saw Kat's portfolio and loved how natural and beautiful all the brides looked. They looked like the best version of themselves that they could be, and that's what I was looking for. I contacted Kat and she was very responsive over email. I was apprehensive about the trial because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. I had a general sense of how I wanted to look on my wedding day, but not in specific detail. She took the time to talk to me and asked me a lot of questions to get a sense of what I would like. I loved what she did, and didn't hesitate booking her along with two of the artists on her team to do the hair and makeup for me, my 5 bridesmaids and our two mothers.

On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time and there was such a nice atmosphere while we were all getting ready. All of the bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law looked stunning at the wedding! I received SO many compliments on how nice they looked! As for me, I felt the most beautiful I ever have in my life. I felt confident the entire day, and of course also received compliment after compliment about how radiant and beautiful I was. My whole look was still perfect at the end of the night when I took off my makeup and undid my hairstyle.

We've received the video and photographs already from our wedding, and my hair and makeup were flawless from every angle.
I can't stress how happy I was with Kat. She was by far one of the best vendors I worked with for the wedding - prompt, kind, and very talented. My sister has already booked her for my nephew's bar-mitzva next year, since she loved how fabulous we all looked. I highly recommend her services!!!

I was so focused on getting my wedding in order that I found myself in a bit of a rush to get a makeup/hair person booked. Blame it on my wedding naivety, but when I finally started looking I was disappointed to see that so many hair/makeup professionals charge SO MUCH for their services. I found Kat pretty quickly and consistently compared her prices against others – she was hands down the most reasonable. I reached out to her via email and within minutes heard back. She is ON it! Luckily she was still available for my wedding date. Kat came to my apartment for the trial and I showed her a few pictures of what I was thinking of. She hit it on the first try, no real adjustments needed.

Kat is professional, reliable, warm, and so on her game. She knows the wedding scene and was actually able to help out with some timeline issues. Again, blame it on my wedding naivety, but I had no idea it would take me to long to get ready the day of! It was a huge comfort to have her on my team to guide me.

I’m a pretty low-maintenance, minimal makeup type of gal, so it was a huge treat to get done up professionally and look like a movie star version of myself for the day. I would 100% book Kat again if I ever needed to have makeup/hair done professionally for another event. I am confident in her talents and professionalism and would recommend her in a heartbeat.

We hired Kat to do my wife's hair and makeup and my makeup. For 2 girls that never wear makeup, we asked Kat to go for the natural look. She did exactly that. She listened and did wonderful work. We did a trial run on the day that we had the engagement shoot, so that was convenient. Kat came back months later for our wedding day. She took away all our flaws and make us really glow, while still looking natural. We got SO many compliments during the wedding. We would definitely contact Kat next time we need makeup and hair. She did an amazing job! She came over to our house on her own, because she just needed to do 2 brides' makeup and 1 hair. Kat is calm, professional, and pleasant. Remember to tip her!!! A friend of mine who used Kat for her wedding referred me and I'm so glad she did. The name doesn't lie. My hair and makeup was absolutely beautiful. I went to her home for the trial and right off the bat she did an amazing job with my makeup. I told her I wanted a more natural look and after she was done, It was natural, but I felt glamorous and was still super comfortable with my look. Kat is so skilled with her tools and extremely gentle with her brush strokes. She is patient detail oriented and will take her time to apply, look at you in all directions, and apply again. Even after you're all done up, if she see's anything that is out of place, she will take the initiative and run up to you and fix it. As for the hair, I was very unsure of what I wanted and during the trial, we did about 4 different styles. I was still uncertain and she had me come back a 2nd time for no additional charge to try another style...how many makeup artists will do that for you? As you can tell from my review, I loved Kat. Hiring her as my makeup artist was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.

Kat, Carla and the team were really wonderful to work with. Kat Laskey is a true professional: you've probably seen her work everywhere without knowing it. She can just look at you and instinctively know what will look best on your face shape and complexion. Kat did bridal makeup for me, plus makeup and hair for two of my bridesmaids. They looked the most gorgeous I've ever seen them. Her rate is not only fair, but a real steal once you start comparing her to other artists with similar experience and entertainment credits. You must absolutely pay for the trial run, where you can experiment and dry run one or more looks before the big day. Kat's excellent, easy to work with, and always on time in starting and finishing her clients –– it's so rare to get all three in any creative professional, so make sure you book her as soon as you can!

Where should I start? I cant even begin to thank Kat enough for her wonderful services at my wedding. She was hands down one of the best make up artist I've ever worked with. She came right on time, actually 5 minutes early the day of my wedding and finished right on schedule. I can not thank her enough. She brought a team of 2 other girls with her to do my whole bridal party plus my mother and my mother in law. Her team did just as good of a job as she did. All my bridesmaids had beautiful updos. Kat airbrushed my make up and literally made me look like a doll on my wedding day. I couldn't have imagined myself to look any better. She is so sweet, kind and welcoming. I felt so comfortable working with her and talking to her. She made me feel at ease. Carla J Farra did an amazing job for my wedding recently! She was so professional and we were right on schedule the entire day. She did my hair and makeup, but also 5 bridesmaids with the help of Catalina who did the girls’ makeup. I mean wow! Everyone looked so good. Our looks lasted the entire day which started at 8:00am, my reception ended at 11:00pm and we all still looked great. My MOH even went to touch me up before the ceremony and said she didn’t even need to since it was all in place.

I loved my entire look, it was exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments. I felt so good that day I can’t thank her enough. She has a great personality and is super easy to work with. I highly recommend her for any special event.

When planning our wedding day, one of the biggest decisions was finding the right person for hair and makeup as this was the look that that would last forever in images. When I met Kat for my trial, she was calm, collected, easy to talk to, and most importantly AWESOME at what she does. I was incredibly pleased with my trial, but Kat took it a step further and spent some time looking at ways to enhance and further perfect my look for the big day. Kat and her team are wonderful! From the moment I first met her for my hair and make up trial 6 months before my wedding, I loved her! She is so sweet, easy to talk to, and an amazing artist! She knew exactly what look I wanted (beachy, summery mermaid waves, bronzed glow) for the Big Day and made it happen. I'm Asian, more on the tan side, with very thick hair that's hard to curl, and I usually hate getting my hair and make up done because I usually get done up too pale and/or geisha-like so I was worried about finding the right person that would do that to me. I could not have asked for a better person to do my hair and make up. She also did hair and make up for all 4 of my bridesmaids and the 2 mothers (who all loved their looks!) I got so many compliments throughout the night and everything stayed put until my night ended at 4am! Haha! Kat is also very professional and extremely easy to work with. Absolutely Beautiful Hair and Makeup lives up to it's name! I worked with Kat for both my engagement session and my wedding day and she made me STUNNING on both occasions. She knows what she is doing and needs very little direction in order to give you the look you are dreaming of. I showed her a picture of what I wanted-and that was it. I had a wedding at The Beverly Hills Hotel in May, 2014. I live in Denver, CO so finding a hair and makeup artist for my bridal party and me was a bit challenging. I spoke with ~dozen different vendors before choosing Absolutely Beautiful. From my first interaction with Kat, I was impressed. Although she was 8 months pregnant at the time I first contacted her, she was very responsive and informative. I knew that if I reached out to her with a question, I could expect a response within hours. She was also very accommodating in setting up my trial session (working collaboratively with me to align the trial session with a pre-planned trip to CA that I had).
The trial session was great! She listened to my wants and gave me the look unique for me rather than a generic bridal look.
During the time between the wedding and the trial, we were in contact to tweak a few aspects of my look.
For the wedding day, she was AWESOME, along with her team. She was timely, professional and overall so enjoyable to spend the day with. That is key- having someone that is a joy to be around since we were with her the better part of the day leading up to the wedding!! All my bridesmaids were thrilled with how they looked too. We received multiple compliments on both hair and makeup (everyone's significant other asked that we have Kat and team primp us on more occasions!! :))

Kat's work was amazing. She was very attentive to what I wanted and she did a great job at fitting the vintage style that I was going for. Kat did an amazing job! She was such a pleasure to work with. I couldn't have been happier with the results. Everyone commented on how great my hair looked. It's normally straight and flat, and she gave me voluminous curls that lasted all day and night through hours of dancing. And my make-up was flawless and natural looking. I don't wear much make-up usually so that was key for me. And she did a great job with my sister and sister-in-law, and she managed the situation when one of them was taking all day in the chair because she couldn't decide what she wanted done. Kat is great! She is professional yet so kind and understanding. I tried other makeup artist (some that I knew and others that were recommended) and no one compared to Kat’s artistic ability. Yes, I consider makeup and hair an art! A friend recommended Kat to me at her own wedding. She was very quick in responding to my request from her site with an email, which by the way included all the info I needed before I could even ask for it!
The day of the wedding she came to my house (on time) and her calm spirit helped my wedding nerves. Her time management skills are great and she even gave my mom a lip gloss.
Over all it was a great experience with Kat. From the trial run to the day of.

Kat and her team did such an amazing job on my wedding day! I met her a few months before the wedding and did a trial run. It went so wonderfully - she was able to create the exact look I wanted and her personality was so calm and warm that I knew right away that she was the right choice. I highly recommend her services to any bride.
On the wedding day, Kat and her assistant were right on time and did a fantastic job of keeping us on schedule. And, of course, everyone's hair and makeup turned out beautifully!! Kat did my hair and makeup which I loved and lasted all night, no problems. Her and her assistant also did hair and makeup for my four bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law. They all looked beautiful and I was particularly impressed with Kat's assistant's abilities. I've been in a lot of wedding where the assistant is no where near the level of the owner and have ended up with some pretty bad hair and makeup as a bridesmaid. I was so happy that Kat employs excellent assistants. Everyone in the wedding party felt beautiful and loved their looks!

I have all positive things to say about Kat, and would honestly recommend her to anyone. When I first sent Kat an email initially asking about her services, she responded to me within the same hour. I loved it. I was able to set up a time and date for a trial run with her with the same ease. I felt very comfortable during our initial trial. She was interested and determined to work with me in creating the look I envisioned for my wedding. She was very down to earth and warm, but very professional at the same time. She always got back to me very quickly via email or phone if I had any questions or concerns about the upcoming big day. On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were there right on time. The services we had done that day included two bridesmaids' hair, 2 junior bridesmaids hair and light make up, flower girl hair and light make up and bridal hair and make up. We all looked and felt fabulous with the finished product, and we had fun during the process. I really couldn't have been more satisfied with the experience. It was a flawless experience, and we "made it to the church on time".

Kat was absolutely amazing!! I will never go to anyone else for make up again! Not only is she amazingly talented at what she does, but she is very in tune to the clients needs. In the midst of all the chaos getting ready for my wedding, Kat was sooo patient, calming and so helpful. She even stayed longer than she was supposed to, to touch me up because my ceremony ran over. On top of all this, she was 8 months pregnant too!!! Every one of my bridesmaids loved her work too and were so happy. You will not regret choosing her, I promise!! :)

Kat and her Absolutely Beautiful team were recommended to me by my friend who used them for her wedding and I absolutely recommend their services to YOU! Kat did hair and make-up for me, my maid of honor and my mom at my wedding and we were all thrilled with the results. My groom was even even more thrilled when he saw me all made up for the first time as I walked down the aisle. I went for a hair and make-up trial with Kat a couple months before our wedding and was so pleased with her excellent skills with both hair and make-up, her artistry AND her friendly and calming presence. Kat and her team were AWESOME. There's really nothing else to it. I met with her for a trial and we tried several looks to get exactly what I wanted, and she definitely delivered day-of and was extremely flexible. She always responded immediately to emails and is extremely professional. My bridesmaids also had their hair done the day of the wedding, and Kat was efficient, making sure that everyone looked unique but also had a cohesive look.

Kat was amazing every step of the way. At the hair/makeup trial she was friendly, put me at ease, and turned my inspiration photos into a gorgeous reality. Over a 4 month period, she was quick to respond to emails, answered all my contract questions, and even helped me stock my touchup makeup bag. Kat was such a blessing to work with! I found her online after searching several wedding websites which all gave her great reviews, so I thought I'd set up a hair/make-up trial. Besides her awesome personality and cute apartment, I was very impressed with her perfectionism and how she really listened to what I wanted. I've had my hair/make-up done for friend's weddings, and I've always had to touch up the make-up or they never did it like the pictures I brought. After the trial with Kat, there wasn't anything I'd change--plus I even had to go work a 12-hour shift at the hospital and my make-up stayed put! On the day of the wedding Kat and her team arrived on time and kept to their schedule, even finishing a little bit early. All my bridesmaids felt comfortable with the hair/make-up artists and looked amazing throughout the wedding. I've already had friends ask who did our hair/make-up so they can use Kat for their weddings!

I am very pleased with the makeup and hair services Kat Laskey from Absolutely Beautiful provided for my wedding.

This is why I highly recommend her:
1. She was always on time.
2. She understood the ideas I had in mind clearly and she always was making sure she was doing the makeup and hair the way I really liked it.
3. She is very professional and brings all the tools you would need, so you don't have to worry about anything.
4. If she thinks something wont work for you, she will propose another idea for you without trying to impose it. I can tell she is very nice.
5. Even though the makeup had to be layered, it remained always natural looking. I was still myself, which is great because you don't want to feel as a stranger in your own skin the day of your wedding.

Kat did the makeup for my wedding. She also did my mom's and all my bridesmaids' makeup. I have never gotten as many compliments on my makeup as I did on my wedding day (and I've had it done professionally for many occasions)! My bridesmaids looked gorgeous and my mom looked like she was 20 years younger! I went to a lot of different makeup artists for trials prior to my wedding and I found that a majority of them either put too much makeup on me or went for the traditional bride look. Kat listened to what I wanted and I found her work to be very fashion-oriented and modern. I would recommend her in a second!

Kat is an Absolutely Beautiful person and a very talented makeup artist! I first found out about Kat through her website www.absolutelybeautifulbrides.com. Then, as any insane bride like myself would do, I researched her a little more and quickly found that she was no ordinary makeup artist, but a pro with a huge amount of experience and knowledge. I decided to come out and do a trial with her and ended up having such a fun time with her and her precious puppies. I didn't have time for another trial before the wedding but I trusted her 100% to wing the changes I asked for. It ended up raining the day of (I was late...she was on time!), which stressed me out just a bit (a lot!). But she was so calm that I had no choice but to sit back and enjoy the transformation. In the end, I felt like a princess with a beautiful up-do, amazing makeup and a huge smile! Kat was absoultly wonderful! She showed up to my house on my wedding day on time and ready to go. I did my hair & make-up with her, as did a couple of my bridesmaids and my mom. We were all extatic with the work she and her assistant did. Kat Laskey of Absolutely Beautiful Hair and Make-up did my hair and make-up for my wedding at the Montage in LA in August, 2012 and I could not have been happier with her services. Kat and her team also did hair and make-up for my 9 bridesmaids and several of my family members.

Kat is amazing! She is an excellent hair and make-up artist and is also very calm, cool, and accommodating. I had a huge bridal party and Kat was excellent at keeping me calm and making me beautiful in those final hours before the wedding.

For the trial, Kat advised me to bring pictures which I did and she did my make-up EXACTLY as shown in the pictures and also advised me as to what she thought looked good with my features. She also recommended a long-wear lipstick color and brand for the wedding day which I purchased. Kat was also very helpful in helping me to find hair extensions that matched my hair color and length. At the actual wedding, my make-up was flawless and lasted the whole night. My hair was also beautiful and looked exactly as Kat and I discussed it - It stayed perfectly pinned the whole night and looked so beautiful. I received many compliments on my look and I attribute that to Kat.

Kat's assistants were also incredibly talented and very friendly - all my bridesmaids LOVED their hair and makeup and raved about Kat and her crew afterward and asked me for their contact info.

Kat was also very professional, efficient, on-time, got back to me promptly when I initially reached out to her, and was a pleasure to be around during a hectic day. Kat stayed with me until after the ceremony to touch up my make-up and remove my veil. Finally, Kat's services are very reasonably priced and she offers discounts for large groups. I highly recommend Kat - She is the best!

Kat did my hair and make up for my wedding. We met once before the wedding for a trial. She has great ideas and amazing sense of style. I loved the makeup so much that I didn’t clean it up for a day… After I went home and gave it more thought I decided I wanted a different color pattern and she asked me to send her a picture so that there would be no confusions on my wedding day. She also asked me to send her a picture of any family members or friends that wanted to get their hair and makeup done so that she could be prepared. On my wedding day she arrived on time and she did an amazing job. Her services are not cheap but not too expensive either. For the work she does the price is great. I couldn’t be happier. She also let me have the lip stick she used on me so that I could use it throughout the day. Overall, I am very glad I picked her for my wedding.

Where can I begin? Kat was an absolute jewel of a find for my wedding day! From the beginning, she was easy to reach, quick to respond to all of my inquiries, flexible, professional, and a really fun and sweet gal! We met for trial hair and make-up before the wedding for a price you couldn't beat! I brought a few pictures of what I liked and talked through all of my ideas, but Kat is the one who made my vision come to life and provided the perfect balance of listening to what I wanted and also adding in her own ideas and inspiration to come up with the exact, perfect look I had been imagining. She took photos and careful notes in order to replicate everything on my wedding day. She created a "Day-Of" schedule to ensure that me, my mom, and all of my bridesmaids would have the perfect look in a reasonable amount of time. She was great about being aware of other vendors to make sure that we were photograph-ready on time! Kat and her team worked quickly, but carefully, to make sure we got the most out of that morning (which can be quite hectic and crazy the day of your wedding!) I could not have been happier with the way my hair and make-up turned out! It was soft, elegant, everything I wanted! AND, it lasted more than 12 hours without being heavy and unmanageable. Seriously, at 1am after outdoor photos, dancing, tears, the works, I looked in the mirror and everything was just as fresh as it was at 12pm earlier that afternoon! Kat also gave me a small touch-up kit of lip color and a powder puff - a ittle lipstick re-apply a few times during the night was all I needed to stay looking and feeling fabulous! Kat Laskey and her team are WELL worth the price. Having someone like Kat come to the place where you are getting ready on your wedding day takes out the stress and worry of having one more place to be, one more event to coordinate, one more headache about trying to make sure everyone shows up to the right place at the right time. My wedding coordinator (who knows and has worked with TONS of vendors) has even chosen to use Kat as her personal hair and make-up artist for her own wedding! Go with Kat and her team - as the company name states, you will be ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and you will be SOOOO glad you did!

Kat was AMAZING!! I am so glad I had such a talented and sweet person with me on my big day.

Kat arrive on time, and was totally happy and energetic from the minute she walked in the door (at 5:45am I will mention!). Her positive attitude was a GREAT way to spend my wedding morning getting ready! She made me feel comfortable and relaxed, which any bride can tell you is a HUGE plus the morning before your wedding.

She listened to any concerns I had, and addressed them swiftly and knowledgeably. I looked AMAZING, and so did the whole wedding party! I have never received so many compliments from total strangers before. If I have any other big event you better believe Kat is top of my list!

From the first email to the last detail, Kat exhibited her professionalism and talent as an artist. She is exactly the person you want to work with for your wedding or any special event. She took my wedding location, attire, theme, etc. into consideration and listened to my ideas during the trial appointment and expertly guided me through the hair and make-up process. Kat sent a day-of-timeline far in advance for my approval and scheduling purposes, which proved to be very helpful. Her easy going, but professional spirit brought a calming presence to an important day. Because I had many women getting hair and makeup done, she brought with her a capable assistant who was also very talented.

It is without reservation that I recommend Kat Laskey for your wedding day or any special event.

I plan to stay in contact with her and use her in the future.

Kat Laskey was absolutely fabulous!!!! I was not expecting the response from family and friends that I got at my wedding about my hair and makeup. Everyone was FLOORED that I could look that good! I could not be happier with Kat’s work. She was relaxed, calm, and totally professional the entire morning! I HIGHLY recommend Kat if you want to look your best!!!!!

I am SO happy that I found Kat to do my hair and make up! She is such a wonderful and beautiful person, and such a pleasure to work with! She really listened to my wants, likes, and dislikes. She was able to create the perfect wedding day hair and make up for me. She is extremely flexible and willing to work with me! She made me look and feel like a queen on my wedding day! I also had 10 other girls getting hair and make up done! Kat was able to bring two other assistants to work on all the rest of the girls. They were also just as sweet as Kat and did beautiful work. They were on time arriving to my house and we were all ready on time for pictures. The BEST service I have ever received!!

I found Kat through a friend who got married back in May 2011. Although I'm Asian, I didn't want the typical Asian makeup (as in needing to add fake creases or making me look extra-pale). As my friend is also Asian, I loved that her hair and makeup looked stunning in a modern way, exactly the way I wanted to look and that's what she delivered for me.

Kat did my hair/makeup trial and hair/makeup for the wedding day. I actually had two trials and both times, Kat followed up with me after the trial to make sure I was happy with the trial results. She wanted to make sure we were set for the big day. Kat and her team (Carla) are very responsive, friendly, and super patient. Both are very open to the feedback that I had and also provided great suggestions on why my hair/makeup should look a certain way. They showed up on time on the wedding day with a calm and cheerful presence...just what you need in the morning before a hectic day! My bridal party enjoyed working with Kat and Carla as well. As a matter of fact, one of my bridesmaids will be using Kat later this year for own wedding! My hair and makeup lasted all day! I received many compliments (and I looked like myself!).

What makes Kat and Carla truly stand out is that they have very extensive experience, including many years experience working on hair/makeup in the entertainment industry...so they're very professional and used to high stress environments and definitely know how to get you looking your best in front of a camera! Kat is also a makeup instructor for a local makeup institution, she really knows her stuff! I highly recommend Kat!

Kat and her assistant Amber were very calming, down-to-Earth presences on my wedding day. They were on time and adapted their schedule to our needs. I felt radiant on my wedding day, but still felt like I looked like myself. Leading up to the wedding day, I actually had two trial runs since I changed my mind about my hair style, and Kat fit me in, no problem! She was also wonderful and timely with her email communication. I would recommend her to any bride, no matter what her needs are. Thank you, Kat!

Kat did an amazing job on my hair and make-up for my wedding day. I don’t usually wear a lot of make-up and wanted to look natural yet still stand out in photos. Kat did just that! I received lots of compliments and my pictures turned out great! She has a very diverse background as a make-up artist so it was easy for her to understand my skin and what colors would work well. Not only is Kat a talented make-up artist she also did a great job on my hair. I originally had one style in mind, but when I came home, my then fiancee didn’t necessarily agree. I was bummed only because he didn’t like it and told Kat what happened. She was so understanding and offered to do another hair session so both my husband and would be happy with it. It turned out to be a great decision to change the original style because the final look was even better! From the trial to the big day, my experience with Kat was really wonderful. She is so easy to talk to and made me look and feel so pretty!

Kat and her staff did an absolutely fabulous job on the hair and makeup for my wedding. Their timeliness and professionalism helped my day to run smoothly and seamlessly while their friendliness, approachability, and expertise helped my family and I to feel “absolutely beautiful” and confident on my big day.

I rarely wear make-up and fuss with my hair, so I wanted an overall very natural, minimalist look. Kat took my wishes to heart and really communicated with me throughout my trial and the day-of to make sure that I was happy with my look. In addition, Kat was easy to work with, patient and flexible. My bridal party had many similar sentiments after working with Kat’s staff and loved their looks as well.

I would highly recommend Kat and Absolutely Beautiful to any interested bride.

Kat was such an amazing find for my wedding. She was the perfect addition to my special day. I met with her for a trial and felt so comfortable with her right away. She really made it all about what I wanted and worked with me to find the perfect look. On the day, she was such a blessing. She has such a calming presence, which is nice to have on such a crazy day, and her work was absolutley devine. Her assistant Carla worked on my Mom and two of my bridesmaids, who all looked beautiful as well. I was told I was the most beautiful bride, like I had just stepped out of a magazine, and it was all due to Kat. I am going to use her for another wedding I'm attending and one fo my bridesmaid said she wants to use her for her wedding. You can't beat her price for the quality of work you recieve. Get her while you can.

Kat did such an amazing job on my hair and makeup for our wedding. I received so many compliments! She also did hair and makeup on one of my bridesmaids, who looked gorgeous, and her assistant for the day, Carla, did fabulous hair on the rest of the girls. Kat is very personable and made me feel comfortable and relaxed, which is great leading up to one of the biggest moments of my life! Overall I had a wonderful experience with Kat, and I would definitely recommend her to other brides. :)

Absolutely Beautiful exceeded my highest expectations!! Kat was professional, punctual, and made me look and feel like a million bucks on my big day. Being an Asian-American, I had my reservations and did not want to look fake or painted for my wedding. I asked Kat to transform me, but still keep me looking classic, simple and refined. I absolutley loved having Kat do the hair and makeup for myself and my Maid of Honor. I contacted Kat online and she contacted me right away and set up a trial that put me completely at ease. On the day of the wedding she was early and got everything set up and taken care of. I feel like she really listened to what we both wanted for our hair and makeup and was just so nice to work with!

I found Kat online after a disastrous make-up trial. Kat sat with me and we went through every step of the make-up process and made sure that I was comfortable with the amount of make-up. The results of the hair and make-up were Absolutely Beautiful. Instantly I knew that I would look beautiful the day of the wedding. The day of the wedding, her and her team were punctual and patient with all the bridesmaids and family. Everyone looked stunning. I would highly recommend Kat and as a bonus she is super-friendly!

Kat was AMAZING! She did my makeup for my wedding in April, and completed a bridesmaid's makeup as well, and I couldn't have been happier. Kat responded quickly to my initial email inquiry and we booked a trial for shortly there after. During my trial, she listened to what I liked and what I didn't like, and didn't make me feel bad for saying no to some of her ideas, or for tweaking some of her work. I didnt have to tweak too much though, because I looked beautiful! After the trial, I emailed her a few times with questions. Kat was super helpful and didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing her. It was clear that she was truly committed to giving me a look that I wanted. On the day of my wedding, I felt PERFECT. It is amazing how great makeup can make someone feel so beautiful! I was glowing! Even without a trial for my bridesmaid, Kat did a wonderful job. My bridesmaid looked her best! Kat was on time, was efficient on the wedding day, was helpful with suggestions, and was a pleasure to have in the room with my friends and family. I will be using Kat again, and would recommend her to anyone. You won't be sorry if you book Absolutely Beautiful!

Kat did my hair and makeup for myself and my wedding party. She was amazing. She was so prepared and helped me with everything I needed. I strongly recommend the trial because Kat took so much time to make sure I loved everything and it made me feel so confident in her doing everything for the wedding. She did such a fantastic job on everyone's hair and makeup and everyone turned out perfect in the pictures. If you want to have your perfect hair and makeup for your wedding, then chose Kat! You will have a great experience working with her and your pictures will show her amazing quality!
