The experience with Selina at Above & Beyond was incredible and extremely professional. Once above and beyond entered the picture to our coordinating everything else fell into place perfectly. I truly had nothing to do on the wedding day besides enjoying the company and environment. Absolutely amazing! -

I was absolutely floored by the incredible service provided by Selina and Katelyn. As the company name suggests, they went above and beyond in every conceivable way to ensure our dream wedding was executed flawlessly.
Selina is incredibly detail oriented and followed up on all tasks that came from our various check ins leading up to the wedding. A month before our wedding she took over a vast majority of all dealings with the vendors. I felt incredibly at ease knowing that she was on top of everything, and provided sound advice when we felt lost or had questions. If I listed our everything she did that impressed me this would be a 20 page review.
I did not encounter Katelyn until the day of the wedding, but we were quickly impressed. From setting up wedding decorations to fixing groomsmen boutonnieres and everything in between, she went beyond our expectations to make sure the wedding party had what they needed and the venue was transformed into our vision.
Words cannot express how truly grateful we are for all the effort Selina and Katelyn put into our wedding. We had a good idea of what we wanted, but it would not have come together without their guidance and expertise. All of our guests had so much fun and we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding to the fullest with Above and Beyond running the show.Above & Beyond Events's reply:

I worked with Selina Grande from Above and Beyond Events throughout my wedding planning process and I could not recommend her more! She was incredibly organized and attentive. She brought a lot of experience with her that showed in her work! She really prioritizes her clients wants/needs. She helped us feel at ease and helped to make our wedding so memorable and special. -

I could not recommend Above & Beyond Events enough!! They did an absolutely wonderful job on setting everything into motion. My day ran so smoothly, I think I was the most calm bride! I from the decorations, to the table and chair rentals, to coordinating the surplus of vendors I had. Selina and her team did a fantastic job.Above & Beyond Events's reply:

I can't rave enough about Selina and her team. I hired them as day of coordinators and let me tell you they delivered. The day of the wedding I had a couple hiccups, there was a mix up with my seating chart and Selina assured me they would figure it out and handle it not to worry and they honestly did. When we got to the reception Ashley and the girls were literally the best. My new husband and I both agree they were the best investment we made on our wedding day they were absolute angels. They made sure our day went so smooth. They helped keep my anxiety low and helped me have a great time. After our first dances they made sure we got to have all the food we paid for and the drinks. They constantly checked in bringing us drinks and food being sure we got to experience it all. They did a great job handling both sets of parents when issues arose. I honestly had no idea if anything went wrong. They were constantly reassuring and handled everything. They helped out wedding be the best night of our lives. If you're planning a wedding...hire them! I can't drive it home enough that you won't regret it. They helped decorate my reception so I could enjoy my day. Kept track of my timeline, my gifts, everything. My dad went so so smooth. I highly highly recommend!!!! And Selina is so easy to work with when I first inquired with her she helped me find a package that worked for my husband and our budget for what we needed. They are awesome. Thank you Selina and your team for over delivering on our big day! -

I am SO happy I chose Above & Beyond Events to help coordinate & plan my recent wedding. Selina went out of her way to make sure the day was absolutely perfect. A truly amazing Wedding Planner!
Selina was the ultimate professional in all aspects of my daughter's wedding planning and day of. In the beginning she worked closely with my daughter and wife in recommending vendors and being very open and understanding of what my daughter envisioned for her wedding. Leading up to the wedding day, Selina was on top of every detail and always asked the right questions to the venue and to the vendors to make sure every detail was discussed and confirmed. She is fun and appears to cover all the details effortlessly, which was huge in making both planning and the actual wedding day stress free for my daughter, my wife and I. But what impressed me the most was the day of the wedding, when minor surprises did surface, Selina handled them without involving my daughter, my wife or I. Only after when thanking Selina for an amazing wedding, did we find out about those minor surprises, that Selina had handled. That is clearly my definition of what a truly great wedding planner should do. She knew what my daughter wanted and she made sure it happened exactly the way my daughter wanted it to be. Like most people, I had heard to plan for last minute surprises when things don't go smoothly that last week, or even on the wedding day. Selina managed all that successfully! Hats off to Selina and Above and Beyond Events! Thanks again for making my daughter's dream wedding come true and creating a lasting memory for our for all of us.

Selina was my wedding coordinator for my wedding on June 11, 2021. During the planning process, she gave us some excellent vendor referrals and we loved them all! The day of our wedding, Selina and her team were absolutely amazing throughout the entire day and paid so much attention to detail. She was so on top of everything and really ensured that my husband and I, my family and all of our guests had a great time and hid the things that went wrong so well that none of us had any idea they happened so that we could just enjoy our day. She also made sure that we actually got to eat the food we paid for and had some drinks too (this is a big deal as most people don’t even get to eat dinner at their own wedding). And her team was incredible as well throughout our event! They truly went above and beyond! I absolutely recommend Above and Beyond events for your wedding or just any event in general!Above & Beyond Events's reply:

Selina truly goes above and beyond! She was such a pleasure to work with. We couldn’t have made our wedding day happen without her! There for me, no matter what
I truly don't know what I would have done without Selina. A couple of months before our wedding, I experienced a terrible tragedy in my family. After that, I pretty much checked out--I was too distracted and heartbroken to even think about my wedding, much less go through the hassle of actually planning it.
Selina, who we hired before the family situation, stepped up in ways I never imagined. She called vendors, arranged timelines and worked hand-in-hand with my fiancé, who suddenly found himself responsible for planning our entire wedding with next to no help from me. She essentially became "me." And a few times when I "freaked out" (scared about getting married and still in pain over my family situation), Selina was there for me no matter what. She was patient, kind and accommodating--exactly what I needed.
Selina put as much effort into our wedding as she would have if it was her own. She made sure that every aspect was in place. She called the photographer, the officiants, the make-up artist, the photographer, the bartender, etc. to confirm the what/when/how of the different things they were doing for the wedding to make sure everything was in place for the event.
The day of the actual wedding, Selina "held my hand" through it all, ensuring that everything went according to plan (because, remember, I was hardly involved in the planning and wasn't sure exactly what was going on) Her assistants, Kelly and another sweet girl whose name I can't remember, were there too, helping us move seamlessly from the ceremony to the photos to the reception, etc.
Our wedding was amazing--not just for my new husband and me, but for our guests as well. I give so much credit to Selina and her team. Words can't express how much I appreciate the way she stepped up when my family life seemed to be falling apart. To be honest, I don't even know if there would have been a wedding without her.
If you're planning a wedding, you want Selina at your side. Just trust her. I did, and I had the wedding of my dreams. :)Above & Beyond Events's reply:

Selina was worth her weight in gold....over, & over, & over again throughout the whole process & then again by saving the day countless times on THEE big day!! I met Selina through a mutual friend 10 years ago & loved her personality & her passion for her job (she was a wedding planner working for a company in Newport Beach at the time). So when I got engaged she was the first person that came to mind. I looked her up immediately & was thrilled to hear that she now had her own company, which was not a surprise AT ALL, since she exudes love for her job! My anxiety level instantly went down, which my now hubby was very happy about. She helped me find the best vendors, kept everything organized, made sure I kept on my tasks, knew who we could wheel and deal with, and so much more! My wedding was truly a fairy tale & more beautiful than I ever dreamed! I can't say enough great things about Selina & her crew. Hiring her was definitely the easiest & best decision I made & I will be sending everyone I know to her. She saved me so much money by negotiating & researching, that she saved me WAY more money than it cost to hire her, so I honestly don't know why anyone would do this without her!
