I'm so happy I chose to use Abernathy Entertainment! I had zero complaints from how my wedding day played out and I think a huge part of that is because they planned out every detail perfectly. The forms they used to plan my ceremony and reception were very easy to complete and they sent them way ahead of time so I could complete them on my own time. They took all of the information from those forms and mapped out my entire ceremony and reception. I felt immediate relief when I got a copy of the completed plan. I didn't even feel it was necessary to rehearse ahead of time because everything was written out so clearly. I also used the officiant service they offer. The wording for the ceremony was very meaningful. I was given multiple dialogue options so I could pick what I thought was most appropriate for us. They responded promptly which was important to me. They gave suggestions for reception entertainment to make sure guest were entertained at all times. I felt pricing was very reasonable for all of the time and effort they put into making my wedding flow perfectly. If I had to go back, I would absolutely choose them again!

Amazing! Would recommend!

They did a wonderful job, they sat down and took as much time as I needed to go through the songs I chose to make sure everything would be perfect for me on my special day, they also chose perfect filler songs for when I was unsure of what I wanted played. I wasn’t expecting my crowd to be on the dance floor but with an amazing Dj they were dancing all night. Thank you again you and your amazing team for the wonderful night and making it perfect and special for me, my husband and our families

Great DJ!!!

Dan and Tina were fantastic! They had a great playlist through dinner and the reception that felt very much like both of us, which is even more impressive because my husband and I have opposite music tastes! And they were able to work in every request we had (like a Polish polka!) and drew them in them seamlessly and organically. I can't wait to work with them again!

A Joy to Work With from Start to Finish

We absolutely loved working with Abernathy Entertainment for our wedding! DJ Rae and Tina were incredible from start to finish. Before the big day, we had a detailed planning meeting where we walked us through all of our preferences and helped us think through every moment. They even put together a thorough timeline that made the entire day run smoothly and stress‑free.
They completely nailed our music preferences and kept the energy high all night — our guests were engaged, dancing, and having a blast from start to finish. DJ Rae was an outstanding MC who truly connected with our friends and family, reading the room perfectly and creating such a fun, seamless flow throughout the evening.
Both Rae and Tina were a joy to work with, and their professionalism and talent made our celebration unforgettable. We would 100% hire Abernathy Entertainment again for any future event. Highly recommend!

Truly outstanding

We had the most wonderful time at our wedding and the music played such a big role in that. My family is from Puerto Rico, so we had a mix of cultures to entertain, but our DJs did a great job of blending Latin music into the whole day and keeping everything upbeat. My heart was so full getting to see my family smiling and dancing to their favorite salsas and bachatas. Abernathy Entertainment is truly outstanding, and we give them our highest recommendation.

Hire them!

We were referred to Abernathy Entertainment by a friend who used them for their own wedding and really loved the experience. Since several friends in our group got married before us, we wanted to choose vendors based on real, trusted recommendations and we’re so glad we did. Abernathy did not disappoint. DJ Rae was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She played the best music, did an excellent job reading the room, and seamlessly chose songs that appealed to all ages and tastes of our crowd. Worth every penny!

So happy we booked with Abernathy Entertainment. Dan was our DJ and he was phenomenal. He kept everyone entertained and dancing, and made everything flow perfectly. He honored our Jewish traditions, like the Hora dance, and played all our favorite songs - I'm still humming along with the memory of it! Dan made sure we were the focus of our day and had such a happy and positive attitude, no matter what we threw at him. You could tell he sincerely wanted us to be happy and have a great celebration. It's hard to find vendors who really care about their clients, but DJ Dan and the Abernathy team definitely do. I'm so glad we didn't cut corners on hiring a DJ because it made all the difference - Abernathy Entertainment was worth every penny and more. We 5-star recommend them!

Fantastic djs! Highly recommend!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We hired Abernathy Entertainment for our wedding, and it was the best decision ever. Their DJs made everything super fun and kept our dance floor full. Our guests are still raving about what a great time they had singing and dancing. Communication throughout the process was always prompt and the music planning tools they gave us were excellent. We really loved that they made sure the day was full of the music we love. We felt heard and they met every request we made. Amazing djs!

Tina and Dan were absolutely fantastic!! They went above and beyond to make our special day everything that we envisioned and more! They were so flexible and rolled with whatever we wanted to do. From entering to the Rocky Theme song to Dancing Queen to Kendrick Lamar to Luke Combs to Guns n Roses, they literally covered every single type of music that we love. They entertained, guided and partied with my guests and helped bring such an amazing energy and liveliness to our wedding and reception. I cannot say enough good things about Tina and Dan. Awesome DJ!!

I attended a wedding several years ago and Abernathy was the DJ. I knew when planning mine, I HAD to use them as well. I already knew they would do an amazing job (which they did), but what really impressed me was how wonderful they were PRIOR to day-of. Tina was so knowledgeable and responsive in helping me plan my music choices and asked questions I hadn't even thought of!!! Plus they worked seamlessly with all of my other vendors. This review is long overdue, but we are still raving about how amazing Abernathy Entertainment was at our wedding! From the moment we reached out, their professionalism and enthusiasm stood out. They worked closely with us to craft a playlist that perfectly reflected our style while keeping the energy high throughout the night.

Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had! The transitions between songs were flawless, and they nailed every special moment, from our first dance to the last song of the night.

Their setup, including the sound system and lighting, added such an elegant and festive vibe to our venue. Communication was smooth and stress-free, which made planning a breeze.

Fun at the Mission San Luis!

Very Professional in the initial phone call pricing and services were explained the contract was clear as the mother of the bride I decided to do some of the vetting of vendors thru wedding wire. When I needed to get clarity, they were only a phone call away. Two months before the big day the bride and groom were given an opportunity to follow up with providing their favorite songs to be played at the ceremony and reception. Mics were provided for the ceremony as the officiant, bride and groom required some help with the crowd as the said their vows in front of 90 guests. all family and friends had a wonderful time we received a lot of compliments and texts after they travelled back to their homes from out of state and country, they all had a wonderful time dancing as a family again was special. A fantastic crew to trust with your wedding music and MC duties

We hired Abernathy for our wedding November 18, 2023. Tina was responsive from the first contact email we sent, and promptly provided us with some helpful information and a contract. As we approached the big day, we were provided a planning packet that covered every part of a wedding celebration and specifically provided options for music preference, songs to play and songs to not, special music choices for different parts of the reception, and other incredible details. We then had a meeting with Tina to review that packet and plan the whole event, and she was very professional and knowledgeable and helped to bring the whole thing together. Before the big day, we were easily able to make adjustments and changes to our plan and Tina was very responsive in adjusting and coordinating, both ahead of time and on the wedding day when timing may have other wise been off or chaotic. She coordinated our first dance, mother son and father daughter dances, all of the music and all announcements over the course of the evening, from announcing the arrival and departure of the trolley service we hired, to our cake cutting, and even cleared the venue for us at the end and gave us time for a private final dance. Tina and Andrea helped make the whole event go PERFECT, which is not at all an easy feat and should not be taken for granted in the context of a wedding. We cannot recommend enough trusting Abernathy with your event or you big day. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic DJ for our backyard wedding

It was such a pleasure working with Abernathy Entertainment for our backyard wedding. We had about 60 guests. I (Bride) have sensitivity to noise levels, and Tina made sure that I was comfortable the whole night with the noise levels. We had a great time and danced more than we thought we would. Tina was such a delight to work with. I myself was the one communicating with all of the vendors in the planning process, and she really made it so easy. She was nice and flexible and really made the day stress free for me. I really appreciated the time she took during our Zoom meeting prior to the wedding. She took her time and was so thorough. Going into the wedding weekend, I was worried about a lot of things, but our DJ was not one of them. I cannot say enough good things about this company and DJ. It is a lot like herding cats to get our friends and family to move to the next activity on the schedule, and Abernathy Entertainment did a phenomenal job.

Amazing 12th Birthday Party

I don’t typically throw big birthday parties, but this year my daughter turned 12 and wanted a Taylor Swift themed birthday. So, I knew we needed to find a DJ to help with music and entertainment. Abernathy was the perfect DJ! Tina and Arkia made this a party we’ll never forget. We had about twenty 11-12 year olds over to our house, and they kept them dancing, singing and laughing the whole night! Arkia had such a fun approach with these girls and she made it super fun. They mixed games, with dancing and sing-offs, which was the perfect blend of activities for this age group. Thank you, Tina and Arkia, for a night we’ll never forget!

Perfect!! Such a fun and energetic team!

Abernathy Entertainment was amazing! They were accommodating, worked with us to ensure our venue would have the best sound for every part of the itinerary, set up equipment with ample time and stayed positive despite a looming 50/50 rain chance. The Perfect DJ

We appreciated the attention to detail and preparation from our Abernathy Entertainment DJ. Great care was taken to first listen to us and understand what we wanted from our DJ experience. Loved Everything about my day!!

Energizing entertainmet

I cannot recommend a better DJ group to have for your event!
I just got married on October 8th and the Abernathy group did not disappoint! Tina Abernathy worked with me and my husband countless times before the wedding to make sure we had everything we could ever want for our big day. Tina gets to know you and your partner's style and will pair you with a DJ that best fits the energy you want to bring to your wedding day! Tina was so awesome when it came to music recommendations, day-of tips and tricks, and overall providing us with an insanely detailed wedding day timeline to make sure we kept the day moving along as we imagined! She was also so quick to respond via email to last-minute changes we wanted to make the week of the wedding.
I know a lot of brides and grooms worry about the dance floor being empty on their wedding night but Krista and Makayla, our day-of DJ's, did an awesome job MCing and kept the party going until the last second of the night. I think almost all of our late-night guests were left drenched in sweat but loving it! They did a seamless job setting up and breaking down their equipment with complete independence. Krista and Makayla also handle several bumpy situations with quick thinking, flexibility, and grace.
We had a perfect wedding that was insanely fun and full of energy just like we wanted and I know a lot of that has to do with our choice to get this DJ group! Thank you Abernathy Entertainment!

Wonderful Work and Experience!

Working with the Abernathy ladies was a great experience! They were very easy to reach out to, were always quick to respond and helped in any way they could. We changed our wedding date and they were very flexible with working out a new date! During the event, they were also very good at directing guests and making announcements, which is very helpful since we didn’t have a wedding planner. The wedding games they offer the couple are also lots of fun and I think all of our guests enjoyed watching. Every meeting and all of the attentive answering my questions leading up to the event, I knew immediately we had made the best choice for our wedding entertainment. They handled audio and music in 3 separate spaces without any problems for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Mission San Luis. Their MC and DJ team really brought the party for our reception, packed with a lighting truss and never a dull moment! We wanted DJ's comfortable with playing EDM with a Latin flair and our party was everything we could've asked for! Everyone had a blast!

Best decision we made for my daughters wedding!

Abernathy Entertainment is the DJ you NEED

10/10 would recommend Abernathy to a friend or family member. We used them for our wedding on 11/7/21 and they were absolutely fantastic! Tina took time to meet with us to go over our music selection and had the utmost patience anytime we were indecisive. They were professional, timely, personable, and kept me updated on where we were with the schedule throughout the night of the wedding (which was super helpful!) A little backstory; we are HUGE Disney fans and had incorporated several Disney songs into our playlist. I asked Abernathy to surprise us with the last song of the night and they chose “When You Wish Upon A Star”; it was the SWEETEST surprise I could have imagined and perfect for the theme. They also had an option where you can play the Newly Wed game with Barbie and Ken dolls which our guests LOVED. So many people came up to us afterwards and said how they have never seen that before and thought it was super funny and cute. I couldn’t say enough good things about Abernathy Entertainment. If you’re looking to make your next event a memorable one- go with Abernathy for your DJ!

Fantastic Wedding DJ!!!

These ladies know how to nail every detail down! They will help you decide just the right music for your special day. We had so much fun at our wedding, and received SOOOOO many compliments on the music and the emcee. My husband "doesn't dance," but they had him on the dance floor all night with a huge smile on his face. The photo booth was a huge hit, and we loved looking through our photo book when we got home. Tina even went out of her way to make a special mashup for my bridal march, and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! I highly recommend Abernathy, they are the BEST!!!

Tina and her crew did a fantastic job throughout the entire process. From meeting with us over Zoom to discuss our preferences and select our music to orchestrating the entire wedding - everything was awesome! Best DJs ever!

Tina and Melinda were the DJs at our wedding and they were delightful! Those two got the crowd engaged and kept the party going. We’ve had several guests tell us our wedding was the best party of the year because our DJs were so cool. Tina and Melinda were so thoughtful and let me have as much or as little control over the music as I wanted for the whole wedding. I was amazed by their vast knowledge and experience, and I was so happy to know that professionals were taking care of everything behind the scenes of the fun. As the bride, I didn’t have to worry about a single thing at the wedding because they had it all covered and kept everyone happy. I have never had more fun in my life. Do yourself a favor and book them!

Wedding planning can be overwhelming, so many decisions! Tina and the team were firstly, kind and helpful and beyond that I found them to be professional, timely, responsive, and super flexible. Amazing! Such a personable experience!

Abernathy Entertainment is a must DJ group for weddings! They did an amazing job at ours and they made the experience so enjoyable! Before your wedding, they sit down and go through genres and songs you want to be played at the wedding and will go the extra mile to track down special requests for songs. The sit-down helped Abernathy Entertainment to get an idea of what songs I and my husband liked and helped make a great wedding experience. We had a great time singing and dancing at the wedding to all of our favorite songs. My husband was especially excited when they broke out some EDM artists that he liked and I loved the addition of songs from my favorite bands 5SOS and All Time Low. Made the Day Perfect

Our day was absolutely perfect. The Abernathy team made everything run smooth and fun! I have had many of our guests tell us it was the best/ most fun wedding they have ever been to and I truly believe it was due to our DJs. They personalize their playlist exactly to you. Abernathy Entertainment is worth every penny

We had experience with Abernathy through my friend's wedding (in which I was a bridesmaid). They are a local, woman-owned and operated business and I was impressed with their work at my friends wedding. It was also important to us to support small biz and especially women for our wedding.

Despite having been to a wedding where Abernathy performed, my memory of the music (other than it was great) was limited, so Abernathy more or less had a clean slate with us. Tina made such an effort (during COVID, no less) to meet virtually with us and get a feel for our tastes and our idea of how the night would go (we had no idea/plans for how the night would go). By the end of the 45min meeting, Tina felt like a friend - we shared inside jokes and my husband and I felt like we were in good hands.

Little did I know, however, that Tina was just the first course. The main course was Melinda and her assistant who handled the DJ'ing for our wedding. Tina apologized for not being able to be there in person for our wedding but she assured us we would be in good hands, and she could not have been more right.

Before I explain how amazing Melinda + assistant were, it's important for those reading this to understand just how much of a blur my wedding was. We were supposed to finish most photos before the reception even began, but for a variety of reasons we were not able to. Every time we were able to settle into the wedding we were being pulled away for more photos. Don't get me wrong, the photos will be amazing, but there is not a person on earth that can convince me our wedding lasted longer than 5 minutes, because that's really all I remember.

I do remember, however, Melinda going out of her way to find me in the chaos and gently usher me toward the dance floor. She asked me directly which song would be most likely to make me dance and enjoy our wedding and reminded me that it was party time, not pageant time. When she came to find me (and she had to search) she felt like another one of my bridesmaids. Might sound lame, but she grounded me in the moment rather than worrying about the wedding overall or the end of it, etc, which is where my mind was at that time. It is only due to Melinda and her assistant that we have any fun dancing photos/videos at all.

Further, Melinda and the assistant (I"m so sorry I don't know her name!!) were very flexible and quickly adapted to any deviations in the plan. For example, 1/3 of our groomsmen were missing when it was time to announce the wedding party and she could sense that we could not care less and we should keep it moving. They kept everyone moving all night without a hitch.

My husband requested the "vaporwave" genre for dinner music - a genre we often listen to to relax but which might not be well-known outside of certain circles. After nailing the vaporwave vibe he was going for, she came over to confirm we were happy during dinner. Just another example of the incredibly personal touch you will get with Abernathy Entertainment.

Finally, my sister (and maid of honor) was enjoying the music so much that she begged Melinda to stay and offered her the requisite extra hour fee. It is important to note that our wedding took place a good 35 minutes outside of town so it was a bit of a haul for them to get there in the first place. Nevertheless, Melinda was game to stay but she was professional enough to also assess that the party was over, even though my sister had not yet realized it. I do appreciate them being willing to entertain my sister though, who would have danced all night alone if they allowed.

In summary: I cannot recommend Abernathy Entertainment enough. Supporting a local, woman-owned business paid off in the best way and fit very nicely into our relatively-tight budget. You get way more than you pay for with these ladies. Everything is win, win, win with these gals.

Thrilled that We Chose Them to DJ our Wedding

We used to Abernathy Entertainment to DJ our wedding at South Eden Plantation. Let me just say.. we were absolutely blown away at their professionalism, attention to detail, and their fun spirit. I didn’t realize just how important a DJ was for a wedding until I hired them. Melinda was our MC and she was absolutely HILARIOUS. From our first meeting over Zoom until the end of the wedding, Abernathy was superb. They took the time to find out exactly what it was that we wanted played at our wedding, and they hit the nail on the head!!

Also, Tina and Melinda knew how to keep the crowd engaged, and knew the right times to make the music softer, louder, etc. I had many people come up to me to tell me how incredible my DJ was. Tina and Melinda made sure that the night went extremely smooth. They were even so nice as to allow us to last minute extend our wedding almost 2 hours!! If it wasn’t for the venue, they said they would’ve DJ’d all night. They did not let the fun end until we were ready for it to end.

Anyways, I could go on and on about what a great company Abernathy is. If you are looking to hire a DJ for your wedding or any other function, they will not let you down. They love what they do and you can see it in their work!!! I would recommend Abernathy Entertainment to anyone.

If you’re looking for a DJ crew, choose Abernathy! We used them for our wedding and it was beyond expectation! The entire process was made simply and they were so helpful in every aspect. One thing friends warned me about when selecting a DJ was that sometimes they try to make the event about them and show off however they like when it gets down to it... not Abernathy. This day, from the wedding to the reception, was about us! The team worked with us on finding the perfect ceremony selection and mixed our favorite songs throughout the reception based on what was keeping everyone on the dance floor, though I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty. The consults with this team were laid back, easy, and FUN! Plus we got the job done! If you already know exactly what you want, great! If you don’t, they’ll help you find what’s perfect for you, no matter how outside of the norm it may be! They’re also super flexible. Getting married at a different location than your reception? They’ll set up both! Decide you want to keep the reception going for another 30 mins? They’ll stay! And the MCing? Flawless! Amanda was our MC and she had all the character and personality to make things lively and fun while somehow seamlessly fitting into the flow of the reception. We had a complication with the lights at the reception and no one seemed to notice. Abernathy had some colorful lights that made it seem like our issue was intentional. My parents, my college squad, and everyone else thoroughly enjoyed having Abernathy Entertainment at our wedding! I could keep going with compliments! Would recommend, 10/10!

Abernathy Entertainment is hands down the best DJ vendor in town. Tina and Mel are the kindest and most flexible people we have ever worked with. They stuck with us through our postponement without hesitation. Anytime we had a slight change in song choice or planned activities, Tina responded almost immediately and worked with our changes. They took the time to get to know us, helped us plan out our day down to the minute, and even assisted us in planning a surprise Disco Hour for our reception. Lady power!

These ladies take their job seriously! Very professional and friendly. Easy to work with and they do a great job at feeling their crowd. Due to freezing temperatures and being outside due to COVID, my guest didn’t want to move away from our heaters but they got music playing that made them want to remove themselves from the warmth and get down! Great Experience!

What a year! Our original plan, like many with weddings scheduled this year, was to have my daughter's wedding in early April. By mid to late March, it was clear that we would have to reschedule. Abernathy Entertainment was so understanding and supportive as we reluctantly moved our date to late 2020. They worked with us...even having to wait another 8-months for the event to happen... no additional money was required to be paid. They remained positive and flexible, which made us feel comfortable in our decisions. After 7-months of waiting, they scheduled our second FINAL meeting, this time via Zoom to go over our plans, as we'd forgotten most of them. I feel like we received twice the service for our money, as planning had to happen twice. When the date finally arrived, the event was wonderful! I love that they have a team of DJ's when they work events, to support each other and make sure that people are where they need to be for toasts, etc. They paid attention to the action on the dancefloor....changed songs as needed to keep people engaged. Very happy with Abernathy Entertainment!

First vendor hired - we HAD to have them

Abernathy was the first vendor we called. We did not even know where we my daughter was getting married, just a date. They came so highly recommended to us, we could not risk losing them. First of all, this is owned and run by women. Women who get that this is your wedding day, it is about you and you want it perfect. They worked with us to create an entire reception timeline, down to the minute. They answered every call, every email, any time you need them, they are there. The range of music was incredible. From prewedding cocktail, reception, we changed tones and they were perfect. They provided uplighting that created the softest mood and dance floor lighting that made it fun. Melinda even worked a special entrance to the Beauty and Beast theme for us. Amanda ensured all night that anything we needed, was handled. You truly can turn over your needs to them and they handle it all so all you have to do is ENJOY!!

Melinda and Tina made our special day so much fun! We were originally going to have our wedding in the Caribbean for carnival, but we were unable to do so because of Covid. Melinda and Tina brought carnival to us! When we had our first meeting with them, we expressed that we wanted a reggae/soca/dancehall type feel. Abernathy Ent. went above and beyond to make that happen by not only playing our playlist, but doing their own homework and reaching outside of their norm to provide us with a wonderful experience and authentic music. We highly recommend them for your special day or party. They were easy to work with, and accommodated our every request. We will definitely use them again for any big party plans in the future!

The dance floor was full!!

Tina and her team are absolutely amazing! They had multiple meetings with us to ensure that the day was filled with music we wanted and they made sure to play all the songs we specifically requested. They brought the life of the party with their personalities and music choices! Our families and friends aren't really dancers so it was quite a surprise to see the dance floor full!

The Very Best!!

The ¨lady DJs¨ did not disappoint. My experience with Abernathy Entertainment was wonderful. They are professional, organized, responsive, flexible, and so much fun!! We originally booked Abernathy Entertainment to provide DJ services for our wedding reception. They met with us via Zoom to plan our reception timeline and go over our music choices with us so that we knew exactly what to expect. This was such a blessing!! A few days before our wedding, we changed our ceremony venue and asked Tina (the owner) if they could provide our ceremony music in addition to our reception. She responded quickly and we were able to quickly plan and add in our ceremony music at the very last minute. These ladies were the best!! Their level of professionalism, preparedness, and organization went above and beyond anything that I had expected. If you are looking for a DJ for any event, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Abernathy Entertainment. Our DJs Tina and Miranda were amazing to work with!

Would recommend and use again!

I’m so so happy we chose Abernathy to DJ our wedding! They played every song we liked and didn’t play the ones we didn’t! They were super easy to communicate with and they were SO sweet the whole time. I threw something on them last second and they didn’t hesitate to make sure it happened. Amazing DJ

AMAZING lady DJs! Highly recommend

Abernathy entertainment made our DJ dreams come true! After a one hour phone consult and they had our entire reception mapped out. When the day came, they made every moment of our DJ experience flow with ease, every guest of all age groups were on the floor ready to boogie! The energy was on point- and song choices were “US”. Peace of mind

Abernathy Entertainment was our Dj for my wedding 12-21-19. As soon as I contacted them, they were professional, easy to speak with and overall gave me a huge peace of mind. For me, wedding planning was not something I enjoyed but Tina and the whole Abernathy team made things very easy and fun for me.
They provide you with a wedding timeline outline that you can use to help you figure out what type of music to play when and helps to guide you through your entire (musical) ceremony and rehearsal without feeling like you forgot something or didn’t “get it right.”. After filling this out you have either an in person or over the phone chat with Abernathy and go over this timeline to get even deeper into what your vision is. I was so relieved to have felt at ease during this process.
The day of our wedding, Abernathy was set up and ready to go at the exact time they said they would be and were so friendly to everyone helping us that day. They were strategic in where they placed the table during the ceremony (out of the way of guests and photos) so they could monitor the microphones we had with us and made a smooth transition into the reception. The reception had multiple introductions which they perfectly timed and always made sure I was aware when things were happening without interrupting.
From begging to end, Abernathy Entertainment made this experience so easy and fun. I really enjoyed having them as a part of our wedding and would absolutely recommend them! Thank you Tina and the Abernathy team!

Fun, stress free and good music!

The ladies of Abernathy Entertainment are amazing! They were so flexible on meeting with us to discuss our wedding. They were open to what we wanted and didn't even blink at our first dance song. They asked what we wanted and provided suggestions when we asked. They were upbeat, friendly, fun, engaging for the crowd and us and had really great music. Their process is simple and stress free. A pleasure to work with!

We hired Tina to DJ and MC our wedding. Not only was she very flexible in meeting with us to discuss preferences and coming to view the ceremony site, she was very professional and personable. She made a lot of great suggestions and went the extra mile to find exactly what we wanted. Our wedding party included some foreign names, and Tina worked hard to pronounce everything correctly! Great communication and service

In our planning process, Tina and her team were responsive and super helpful with guidance and suggestions. On our wedding day, they were prompt, thoughtful, and professional. We had a tropical storm move in unexpectedly and only had one day notice to make back up plans. On the wedding day, Tina and Melinda were flexible as we moved and adjusted events (first dance, cake cutting) to consolidate our evening so that guests could get home to prepare for the storm without missing important parts of the day. Communication throughout was excellent, and that's super important when you're trusting someone with the entire tone and energy of your big day!

A Great Time!

Excellent DJ!!

Great to work with and very organized!! Wouldn’t have a clue of how our reception would play out without their help!! Perfect mix of music. Soft music during dinner and fun, party music to get everyone up and moving. My husband and I should have added more line dances, that seemed to have gotten everyone moving more, but that was our fault not the DJs when it came to the planning. Otherwise, excellent DJs, definitely recommend them to anyone!

Incredibly thorough and fun!

Tina and Melinda were both amazingly detailed in their assessment of what music my wife and I wanted, along with when and where we were wanted certain songs played. Because of their experience, they were able to offer constructive feedback with the few questions we did have, and updated us every step of the way leading up to our wedding. The Abernathy DJ's kept our crowd engaged for over 5 hours, but never for a moment did we feel like the day wasn't about us!

Where do I even start?!? This group of professionals is AMAZING! From the two scheduled meetings in person to constant clear communication over emails - these ladies are 5 stars. My favorite part is that they take the time to create a personalized timeline to send to you, for a piece of mind that your day will go great! My wedding day!

My wedding was absolutely amazing! It was everything a girl could ever dream of. Tina & Melinda made sure I was completely okay with every decision and step we took! I am a very indecisive person but the crew came to the rescue with songs and playlist that fit perfectly! They are very understanding and professional with personalities that could put any bride as ease when it comes to getting people on their feet dancing! I absolutely LOVED them! When the elderly started to leave and we had to shift the schedule around with the music they made it happen with such ease! If you are looking for a DJ group that actually listens to you and makes everything so easy I would hands down pick them!

We loved Abernathy. Tina and her crew are so professional and they plan everything to a T. My husband and I loved their energy and ability to adapt to our needs.
