Beautiful, out of this world cupcakes and cake!
Since I was young, I had had wonderful treats and sweets from ABC. I knew I wanted them for my wedding cake. I am so glad that I trusted my gut!
Brian and the staff work with you to create the cake of your dreams. I brought in several inspo pics and my cupcakes looked identical to the pictures. The little cake we did for my husband and I also looked exactly like the pictures and tasted even better. We had a lot of extras (thanks COVID!) but we enjoyed them days after the wedding and they stayed fresh for the entire week!

Amazing!
I not only ordered my wedding cake from ABC Cake Shop and Bakery but also the cupcakes for my bridal shower and both desserts exceeded my expectations! They were both so beautiful and came out perfect! We had multiple meetings and enjoyed the cake tasting and having all of our questions answered and our ideas listened to! Our cake was so delicious I can hardly wait for our anniversary cake which will be a combination of both my favorite and my husband’s favorite flavor!

Fantastic Cake, lots of compliments and super yummy
If you want a smooth, moist, and amazing tasting cake for any occasion but especially a wedding, look no further. From the initial meeting with the team, we had a professional and fantastic experience. The way the cake tasted from the mouth feel, smoothness of the buttercream, and taste of the filling we were happy. They were prompt and delivered the cake to our venue, with our topper and base in tow. Every time we went we would make sure to buy a sweet treat and it wouldn't make it home, that is for sure. Highly recommend they are a hidden treasure for sure.

Everyone at ABC was so helpful and the cake turned out beautiful! We showed them a picture and told them how we wanted the cake to look and they made It happen. Beyond my dreams cake!!
This shop went way beyond my expectations and reached exactly how I dreamed it would turn out!! I live in Seattle, but was planning a wedding in Santa Fe. We set up an appointment for a consultation and they made the whole process very easy for me. I provided pictures of what I had in mind.
Imagine how I felt when I first saw the cake, moments before the ceremony: it was perfection!! The decorations were gorgeous and spot-on compared to the pictures I supplied. I had to control the happy tears!! The lemon cake I chose with buttercream frosting was so fresh and moist; it was absolutely delicious! We saved part of the cake and ate it on our one month anniversary and it was still gorgeous and lovely tasting.
This shop really knows how to make a bride comfortable that the cake will be as delicious as it is beautiful! I fully recommend!! Thank you, ABC Cake Shop and Bakery!!

Amazing cake for the right price!
Delicious and beautiful cake at an excellent price. Two tier cake, two separate flavors, and beautifully made. ABC Cakes offered delivery on our wedding day, and placed our cake topper for us! They were wonderful to work with.

Our cake was beautiful and delicious
We wanted a unique geode cake, my husband was very adamant about not using foil and they did an amazing job materializing his vision. He was very happy with the out come. The cake it’s self was so delicious even the gluten-free tier tasted good and that’s not easy to do! We also felt that the cake was affordable for the quality of work. Definitely recommend this cake shop!

The perfect cake for our perfect day
ABC Cake Shop worked with my husband and I to tailor our wedding cake to what we had in mind. Due to COVID we had to change our wedding date a couple of times, and they were very understanding with each change. The cake was beautiful and our guests loved it!

Professional, Knowledgeable Staff and a Wedding Cake That Tasted Amazing!!
It was a wonderful experience working with Bryan and ABC Cake and Bakery for our wedding cake. Bryan had such patience with us as we designed the cake and was exceptionally professional, never making us feel pressured (like one of the places we visited in Santa Fe) and always available when we had some random question. The quality and customer service we received was amazing and the cost was completely affordable. We chose the almond flavored cake and I have never had a wedding cake that tasted so amazing, even our guests were commenting about it! With all the details that have to be attended to when planning a wedding, it was such a pleasure knowing we didn't have to worry about a thing with ABC. Thank You All So Much for all you did to make our day that much more special!!

Bryan and Alex at ABC were amazing to work with. Our cakes were so gorgeous--we had a traditional, 3-tiered wedding cake and a groom's cake that was a little replica of our car. They both looked so cool and tasted great! Bryan also worked with me to create an awesome suitcase cake for my bridal shower. Everyone loved that, as well!
Bryan was extremely responsive, easy to work with, and accommodating. When my groom and I wanted to have our cake topper installed onsite at our venue, Bryan worked with us to make it happen. We would highly recommend ABC to any engaged couples.

They were amazing. Matched our colors perfectly with a color swatch and they never blinked an eye at any of our requests. Very professional. Also the same bakery my parents used 40 years ago! There’s a reason they are still in business! Flavors are amazing!

I didn't really want a cake but my stepmother offered. We met with Brian. He was really helpful. Explained the process really well. Brian worked with me to figure out my design for the cake. He explained the history of cakes in weddings. Brian was really wonderful in working with us on getting a tasting done and a cake topper. We would do business with ABC again. The quality and customer service was excellent. Exceeded my expectations.

My Husband & I were the ABC Cake Shop Dream Wedding Cake giveaway winners & we were so thankful & happy to have won! My husband entered us in the contest where our family & friends voted for us on social media like Facebook & their webpage! When announced we won, we got together with Bryan for our first consultation where we discussed pricing, designs, amount of people attending, theme, & all the details to make our wedding cake. He really wanted to make sure all our ideas & desires were heard as he began to draw out some ideas on paper. Bryan is such a wonderful & loving person to be able to work with he truly cares about making your day special, his passion is seen not only in the amazing work presented by him & his crew but even in just how he tries & helps create your own masterpiece of a cake! Our second consultation we had 2 people in our wedding party join us for a cake tasting where we chose 2 different flavor cakes, icing, & fillings where we had different combinations to explore. We also went over final details about our cake & filled some paperwork. When the wedding was near he called to follow up with us & sent us the final details of what he sketched for our cake to look like and it was beautiful! We dropped off the cake topper & he said they would take it from there. On our special day when we saw our cake it was more beautiful and spectacular then I could have imagined! Every single detail was amazing. Our top tier was a hidden Mickey tier, the middle held a pop out of the castle & scroll work wrapping around it with quotes from Disney movies with the characters silhouettes. The bottom tier was elegant showing off the castle above with piping & more hidden Mickey & red hearts making the cake pop from all angle. A top tinkerbelle spread edible pixy dust, looking like a fairytale cake. Us both & our guest loved it. The flavor of almond butter cream almond cake w/ a Bavarian cream cheese filling was so delicious and moist. We're so blessed, we recommend!

The entire process was such a wonderful experience! We ordered a beautiful cake for my parents 50th Anniversary event. From the cake consultation to the cake tasting to the delivery and presence of that gorgeous cake...it all went great! I never felt rushed by Bryan or the staff and they were all so friendly and professional! I had tasted a carrot cake from ABC Cake Shop once before but never had ordered or tasted anything else from them, but almost everyone I asked for an opinion on where to order a cake would send me to ABC Cake Shop. I am so glad I listened! They allowed me to make changes and even schedule another cake consultation if I wanted. They delivered the cake on time and it was everything I expected and more. Thank you for making my parents golden anniversary so precious and memorable!!

Having my wedding cake from ABC Cake Shop was just amazing.
Customer service was excellent from the beginning to the end. The cake tasting was so nice, they let me taste as many flavors as I asked until I was sure of what I wanted.
We had two flavors, lemon with raspberry filling and red velvet; the cake tasted delicious!
They made the exact decoration I asked for, they answered all my questions and took care of my concerns because I was planning my wedding from outside of the country.
Everything about the service from the Bakery was just perfect. I definitely looking forward to work with them again.

Our wedding cake was including in our package at Sandia Resort and Casino. We are getting Red Velvet cake and our sample taste phenomenal. We showed our consultant a picture of the cake we wanted and she said there would be no problem making it. She walked us through how to choose a size and was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend!

I want to thank the our superb cake consultant Christine and the staff at ABC Cake Shop for creating exactly what my 16 year old daughter and I had envisioned for her party. Christine was so kind and helpful...she took very good care of us and made sure she noted every detail on her sketch. The cake was a 3 tier with different cake and filling for each tier. I was delighted to hear that they encouraged me to bring in a color sample so that the cake could match our color theme exactly, and it did! Not only was the cake stunning it was delicious and we were more than pleased. The day we picked it up, they were careful to place it in a proper box and gave us instructions on how to transport it, even placing it in the back of the SUV for us. This cake was the "icing on the cake" at our party, and I wouldn't hesitate to have ABC make more cakes for our future celebrations.

These guys were the best, my wife and I were from out of town and they did an amazing job on our cake. We even had a problem where our fridge over heated and melted the cake and they fixed it in no time. Every year we are going back to new mexico and will be buying a cake or pastries from this wonderful shop. Did I mention the staff is amazing and very friendly?

I had a 3 tier wedding cake done with all different flavors and also a grooms cake. All the flavors were delicious and the decorating came out amazing. They delivered the cake on time to the venue and everything came out as expected. The cakes all tasted amazing! The almond with raspberry filling and buttercream icing was my favorite.

We ordered a cake from ABC Bakery in Albuquerque for our mom's birthday. The cake originally was going to be a whipped cream frosting and bavarian cream filling but unfortunately due to the unfortunate refrigeration event that occurred at our house we had to change the order. ABC was very flexible with our change. Our cake was delicious with raspberry filling and regular vanilla frosting. The cake was pre-cut which made it really easy to serve. The cake was decorated beautifully and our mom loved the decorations and the cake. The folks in ABC Bakery were very kind and courteous. It was crowded inside but the wait was short because there was plenty of help.

The wedding cake was a very much no muss no fuss kind of thing. We got a smaller cake for about 89 people, three tiered with a very basic lace pattern and butter cream flowers. It was delicious and looked fantastic! We didn't run into any problems and at the cake tasting they were great and answered all our questions. Great value, beautiful, and delicious cake!

I loved my cake! My husband an I weren?t planning on having one originally, but I was asked to use a special cake cutter that was passed down in our family. ABC was great. I had a very particular idea in my head of what I wanted for a cake, and I was more concerned about the taste than I was the look. I explained what I wanted and when we went in for a group tasting, ABC Cake Shop had made one that was exactly my specifications. ABC was really good at working with our lack of a budget. We ended up getting a very simple 3 tiered cake with a bunch of different flavors? all of them were very tasty and it looked good too!

I went to a number of places before coming across ABC and none of them came close to the taste, appearance, or professionalism of ABC. I was able to choose different flavors of cake with different fillings at no extra charge and every layer was delicious! My wedding cake was delivered on time looking beautiful and exactly as I ordered. They're the only bakery I will go to. They're affordable and high class all the way. Perfect....A+++

ABC made our 50th Wedding Anniversary cake, which was so delish and was enjoyed by all! It was an 11-inch layer cake decorated with yellow roses, gold leaves, white butter cream icing. The cake was almond flavored with a chocolate mocha filling. The bride and groom topper was my parent's used in 1936.

ABC was very flexible and worked with us to follow a cake design my mother had come up with, which was great. However when the cake arrived they had exchanged white cake with yellow cake, but they gave us a $25 credit. The cake was incredibly delicious and enjoyed by all. We also received a complimentary 1st anniversary cake that we got to pick up fresh before our anniversary (instead of freexing the top tier).

ABC Cake Shop's cakes were delicious! We ordered 125 mini-cakes and one large center cake (center cake fed 36, plus 125 mini-cakes) for our daughter's wedding (total cost of all cakes $900). They were almost too pretty to eat! They had us a little worried, however. The baker we spoke with was no longer there and the wedding coordinator we worked with was also no longer there. They also showed up only about thirty minutes before the wedding started. But, after all that, the value for the money was considerable. For 125 mini-cakes, which were large for "mini-cakes" (fit into the Go-Boxes, 7"x7"x7", large enough for a couple to share), they were absolutley a HIT at the Reception!

ABC did a wonderful job on the cake for our wedding. The flavors were amazing! They did mess up on the texture on our cake, but they did credit us for the inconvenience.

I had a wonderful experience at a friends wedding with ABC Cakes! They were great, flavorful mini cakes, and I highly recommend them for not only weddings, but birthdays and other events for which you need cake. Plus, it is a local shop, which always gets points in my book :)

Had an awesome experience with ABC Cake Shop. Initially I stopped in to see the facility and get a feel for their designs and prices. I was very impressed when the owner was assisting customers, and was willing to sit down with me go over pricing, day of the event timeline and design options. I orderd both a grooms cake and a traditional cake. They did an awesome job on both and really went above and beyond to help me design a perfect grooms cake for my husband. (A drum set)

The cake tasted amazing. They were very easy to work with. They only down fall was the cake we got had a topper and we didn't want a topper so we asked them to just put flowers and the flowers they put did not match the cake.

Our cake turned out beautiful and I was really happy with ABC from start to finish! They offered to put fresh flowers on our cake and were flexible with meeting with us on the fly for our first appointment. The flexibility was very important for us as we were planning our wedding while living in Chicago and had limited time to meet with vendors. The only negative experience I had was with not getting a response to emails I sent them which they directed me to for changes/adjustments.

Overall a good experience
Ashley with ABCD Cakes was very good and did an amazing job on our cake. I was extremely happy with the taste of the cake and the way it all turned out just like I wanted. I showed her Pinterest photos and she was able to create something just like what I wanted! The only concern I had was that I couldn't get a hold of her a few different times. I emailed with questions twice and never got a response, and this was after I had already paid. My wedding planner had to contact her before she responded to me. Other than that, very happy and the cake was beautiful and delicious! She also did super cute cookies with our wedding colors and initials.

Our cake turned out nicely, not exactly how I pictured it. I had given them a picture of exactly what I wanted and it did not turn out exactly like the picture, so I was a little disappointed. For the grooms cake was asked for a cut of of a double T (since we both went to Texas Tech) and they did a fantastic job on that cake. My main issue with the cake shop is that we saved out top layer to eat when we got back from our honeymoon as we opened presents, a moment I had been anticipating. When we cut into it, we found that the cake was chocolate when we had ordered white. We looked back at the invoice and it said white cake, so someone made an oversight the day the cake was made. I don't like chocolate cake so I didn't even get a piece of my wedding cake :(

This was my first experience with ABC Cake Shop and I was a little nervous since I had read mixed reviews about the shop across various review sites and heard mixed reviews from folks in person. Overall I was pleased with the experience (with one minor irritation) and will most likely order from them again. I thought the cake was really tasty, looked great in the end, was delivered perfectly and punctually to our home in the east mountains (up a really bumpy road which had me nervous too!) and some of our guests told me at the reception that it was the best wedding cake they've had in a long time. I do have a few tips though for any wedding cake venture: ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS and GET CHANGES AND QUOTES IN WRITING! This is not a slight against the wedding cake staff, but just good sense. If you need to call or stop in to make a change or check on the status, make sure everything is attached to your order and you get a copy of the latest, especially if updates or changes are made. Oh, and don't forget to call and confirm well in advance and for sure at least a week before. For a brief run down of my first to last encounter, I've tried to make it short and sweet:
- I called to set up an appointment back in January and had to leave a message for the wedding consultant (this happened repeatedly, but within 24 hours or less I always received a call back, they are very busy with the cake business!) and spoke with Patty who was very pleasant and professional.
- My fiance and I met at our appt time and consulted with Jamie, who was also very pleasant. She went out of her way to answer all of our questions and would run back to the lead wedding cake decorator to find out for sure what could or couldn't be done. We were expecting to pay a bit for 100+ guests and the price seemed reasonable, plus we had a few custom decorating requests but nothing too crazy. We left that day with an order and a deposit placed. Also, they gave us a 10% military discount for my fiance's service.
- The following Sunday my fiance and I attended one of their free cake tasting events with Jamie and were surprised to see how much cake they offered us to try! Very tasty and a good range of options. We were able to narrow down exactly what we wanted and leave the note on file. They gave us a cute little gift bag with ABC shwag on top of that!- Within the last several weeks before our wedding, I called to check to make sure things were in order and set a time to meet with Patty to pay the balance and make sure things were going as planned and she had all of our details ready to go. Since we did our initial full consultation with Jamie, I was a little surprised that one item on our design (complete with picture that had been on file since day one) came up as a question and "special fee" during this meeting. Our cake had gentle "shoulders" along the rims, clear in the reference photo what exactly we wanted and nothing Jamie noticed as being a problem in January. Patty however had to confer with the cake decorator and came back to me with an extra $25 fee to have some of the cake trimmed to look like this. Of all the complaints I could make, this would be the only one: That this was not part of the original detail conversation about how we wanted to have our cake and that this issue came up rather close to the date when I went to pay the original balance. I paid the fee but let her know that it was not what we talked about back in January.
- I called a week before to make sure (again) all was well and to remind Patty and the driver about our delivery route and to take it slow on the dirt roads (we're 45 min out of ABQ). Patty was great and all was good.- Two days before the wedding I delivered the fresh flowers that were to decorate the cake and deliver a detailed map of how to get to our house. I was a bit nervous since I didn't get to hand this to Patty OR Jamie but rather the counter staff who didn't have too much to say to me about the schedule so I left crossing my fingers everything would fall into place and sure enough, it did!
- Cake was delivered within the hour established, was in one piece and beautifully decorated very close to the picture reference we left. Best of all, it was yummy (marble cake with chocolate bavarian cream and buttercream icing with neat, thin ribbons of fondant border for decoration).
- One week after our wedding we received a personalized and handwritten thank you card from the shop staff which was a nice gesture.

We got a lot of compliments on how good the cake was, which is great to hear. I thought ABC cakes had a good variety of flavors and it all worked out very nicely, however it was a bit pricy.

I am currently in the process of having a cake made for my wedding. The cake is quite large and will also include the grooms cake. ABC is the only shop that I found that was willing to give me exactly what I want which is a 4-tier square ivory cake with icing dots and pink and burlap ribbon, along with the grooms cake which is a model representation of his truck kicking up mud onto the side of my cake. We are from the country and this represents us well... The cost is a little high, but to get what we want and the taste of it will hopefully be all worth it.

This cake was for my sister and her husbands 50th wedding anniversary. I was a little disappointed that the cake did not have a few more flower clusters, at the cost of the cake. I know it had to be sugar -free for both are diabetics, and that may have contributed to the cost. A little disappointing, but they were surprised and did enjoy it.

I have loved ABC Cake Shop since I was a little girl and it was located across the street on the OTHER side of San Mateo. Their sugar cookies are one of my favorite things to eat, as is their German Chocolate Cake.
I have never been disappointed in an ABC Cake. They are delicious. I loved my wedding cake; it came out exactly as I had wanted it. I found a picture of a cake I liked and they made the cake exactly.
One downside: I had Victorian wedding charms that I gave the company to bake into the cake. The bridesmaids are supposed to each pull out a ribbon with a charm at the end of it, which is said to predict their future (one charm is a ring, one charm is a bottle, one charm is a 4-leaf clover, etc. etc.). The charms were left out, despite explicit instructions to include them. This was not because ABC was unable to do this, but because it was an oversight.
I did not shop around for cakes -- I knew ABC was the vendor for me. That being said, they were quite pricey. I had no fondant and a simple design on a three-tiered white cake, yet it still cost over $500. This was not an intricate cake; it was meant to be elegant and simple. For the price you would have thought I had them hand paint our pictures all over the thing.
Overall, I still like ABC. They are reliable, and that goes a long, long way.

Communication with ABC cakes was difficult, whether on the phone or in person. They did not respond to emails, and their website is useless. I did eventually get the cake I wanted, and it was bigger than expected, and quite tasty. They even included a nice keepsake knife and server, which I wasn't aware they did. However, they put the wrong filling in one of the tiers, and their "purple" frosting looked far more "blue" and did not match my decor the way I hoped. I would recommend seeking out a different cake vendor.

I had heard so many great things about ABC, so my husband and I decided to use them for our wedding cake. We did our tasting and consultation and everything was set how we wanted it. However, two weeks before the wedding, we could not get a hold of anyone to confirm our cake and that everyone was correct. When we did finally get a hold of someone, everything was wrong. We worked everything out, or so we thought, and when a friend went to pick up the cake it was not in the condition it was promised to be. The cake itself was very good, but the service was less that alright.

ABC Cake Shop didn't deliver our cake
ABC Cake shop unfortunately did not deliver our wedding cake. Thankfully, a bridesmaid had already offered to do the cupcakes, so we at least had those, and our venue Santa Ana provided us with a chocolate cake as a back-up the day of. We were ultimately pretty disappointed that our guests could not enjoy our cake, but the owner called me personally the next day to apologize and offered to make things right. He said they had only ever missed a delivery once before early on in his career, and that he felt terrible. They offered a full refund and gift certificate, which we appreciated, and we were able to still go get the cake (which admittedly was gorgeous and exactly what we wanted) and share with some family before they left town. I am disappointed we didn’t have the cake at our event. But, we still appreciated the owner’s efforts to make things right (and the cake was yummy). I think ABC usually does Sunday deliveries even though the shop itself is closed, but there was a mix up for ours apparently, so I would say if you order delivery be aware that they aren’t actually open Sundays, so we weren’t able to get ahold of anyone the day of. I would still recommend ABC cake shop because their cakes are delicious, but maybe don’t schedule a delivery for a Sunday, pick up the cake yourself, or see if you can actually get a written confirmation of the planned delivery the day before just to be sure.
