  If you're reading this review you are only moments away from making an EXCELLENT decision to book the best photographer around! Abby Grace has an immense passion for what she does and it comes through from the moment you first meet her to your first look reviewing your new treasure of photos (seriously, I need more wall space just to hang more of her photos...). My husband and I booked her this summer for an anniversary session and she was punctual, attentive to each and every detail, and filled our time with endless laughs (genuine ones...way better than the forced ones). She is so sweet and kind which certainly helped us to warm in front of the camera. If you're the "I don't know what to do with my hands" type - not to worry for one second! Abby knows exactly what to do and she will confidently and gently guide and coach you to the position that both makes you look wicked flattering but also (and arguable more importantly) comfortable and natural to YOU. We loved every second of our photo shoot and would absolutely book her again and recommend to closest friends and family.

  The best of the best!

  Hiring Abby was the best decision we made for our wedding! Her wedding photos are to die for, but if you need further proof of her artistry, check out her beautiful ballerina series. From our very first phone call with Abby, she demonstrated her immense knowledge, tact, and talent—everything from the novel idea that we could actually attend our own cocktail hour and how to time it well to what we could expect from her. As a professional, Abby is kind, incredibly responsive to emails (she even got a virtual assistant to cover her inbox while away and made sure to answer our questions before she left the office!), an industry leader (just look at her social media and speaking engagements), and knows how to keep your wedding running on time to get all the photos you asked for plus ones you didn’t even imagine. Along the way, we got to spend time with Abby and her husband, Matt, who walked us through the pros and cons of a first look (DO IT!!). The morning of our wedding, Abby was prompt and expertly managed all my detail and getting ready shots with a large bridal party—she can really keep people in line! We received our photos very soon after the wedding and my jaw dropped. Not only did they feature a variety of candids and poses (WAY more than the simple kiss and walks hand-in-hand you’ll see in other photographers’ portfolios), but she really captured the warmth of our day. Seeing the pictures now, there are many where we didn’t even realize Abby was there, making for some really heartfelt moments of just after our ceremony and throughout the night. We’re also immensely grateful that she got photos of all the décor, because we worked so hard crafting but the day went by so quickly, we didn’t really get to take it all in! Abby is a dream to work with and will insure you get the best combination of fine art quality with the true joy of your wedding, all rolled into one.

  Absolutely AMAZING!!

  Abby was one of our favorite vendors and we were so so so happy we chose her to be our photographer! Our wedding day went by so fast (as I'm sure it does for most couples) and she was able to capture all of the best moments, which reminded us of how beautiful our wedding day truly was. Would highly recommend!!!

  We can't say enough about our experience working with Abby! Her positive attitude was infectious and made things fun, even during stressful situations. She was completely professional throughout the process, handled everything efficiently, and never caused us to worry about anything.
  
  And oh yeah, Abby takes terrific pictures! She knows how to capture who you are as a couple, and the spirit of your event, and we were thrilled with the results.

  Hands down, Abby is EVERYTHING you are looking for in a photographer. She has an amazing eye for the perfect shots that are unplanned, yet somehow epitomize the little moments of love you'll look back upon for years - nobody will capture you and your partner better, I promise you!
  
  Abby's work alone is amazing, but she couples her talent with an infectiously joyous personality and calm control of what can be a hectic wedding day or engagement shoot. She puts everyone around her at ease, from anxious parents to huge bridal parties squeezing in for shots. She made our engagement pictures, wedding timeline prep, and day-of celebrations go flawlessly, and we could not be more thankful to have her by our side for the big day.
  
  It speaks volumes that Abby not only shoots weddings, but actively builds her business through speaking engagements, creating resources for other photographers, organizing international workshops, etc. She's a leader in her profession and it shows. I got the feeling that she's always striving to improve herself for her clients, and, as a type-A/driven person, I appreciated that she's super passionate about photography and values development (...and it's fun to follow along on her adventures via instagram!!)

  Stop looking! You've found the one! Abby Grace was the BEST photographer that we ever could have dreamed of having for our big day. She was so wonderful from the very first conversation.   I can't even find the words to start to describe Abby Grace Photography. Her and her husband were extremely responsive from the very first time I contacted them. We did our Engagement photos and wedding photos with her. The day of the wedding was an absolute breeze, and you know that she is truly a professional. She took controls of the wedding party, and pictures flew by because of her organization. What truly amazed me was that she memorized the entire wedding party's names (16!). Despite the hot temperatures she kept everyone laughing and moving. And finally, even though I've only seen 3 pictures so far...they are breathtaking!! I can not wait to see the rest. I would recommend Abby Grace to anyone getting married.

  Picking a photographer was the first, and most important (to us) task for our wedding. After interviewing more photographers than we can count, it was clear Abby Grace was the right choice for us. It takes just a few minutes of talking to Abby, with her warmth, sense of humor, and upbeat personality, to put a smile on your face—and I'd say that's a pretty good skill for a photographer to have. Abby's work was fantastic, with a clear point of view and style that perfectly matched what we were looking for in capturing our special day. When we met with Abby for our engagement shoot, the day was about more than capturing great shots of us (though we got those too!). She took the time to learn what poses made us most comfortable in front of her lens and to understand us as a couple. This made my camera-shy husband SO comfortable come the day of our wedding. On the big day, we had clear skies but very cold 30-degree weather. Abby never let on that she was freezing as she took our outdoor portraits, and her good cheer and ability to make us laugh kept us warm while we posed. We also loved that Abby knew our venue so well and was able to find the best locations for each shot. Our wedding pictures came out beautifully, from the formal portraits to the more candid moments, Abby truly captured the feel of the day, in her classic style. On top of the beautiful photographs, working with Abby and her husband, Matt, on the business end was a breeze. They were happy to talk through every step of the process and made it enjoyable, too. On the day of the wedding, Abby was flexible with working with our schedule, made sure she got every grouping we requested and organized our large bridal party and family for formal portraits easily.   Abby is without a doubt one of the best things that we did for our wedding celebration and during the entire engagement! Words cannot describe how wonderful she was to work with. From the second I met with her via phone, I knew she was incredible. Abby is sweet, professional, talented, kind, genuine, goofy, and you feel like you're her best friend after talking to her for five minutes! This is just her as a person....now onto my experience.
  
  During our engagement session, she was great at making us both feel comfortable and natural. These photos are ones that we will cherish forever and she got some incredible candid ones with the most breathtaking views!!! I thought it couldn't get any better than these. Then, our wedding happened. Pre-wedding Abby had reviewed my timeline with my planner and ensured everything was good to go. The second she showed up in our bridal suite she met every single one of my bridesmaids and remembered ALL of their names (and I had a big wedding party!!!) She was taking photos left and right and getting every single detail shot I could have ever wanted. I loved having Abby around so much it was almost like she was part of our bridal party crew! Then came bride/groom portraits right downtown DC. We're talking random people taking our pictures...cheering..etc, etc. Abby somehow managed to get people to move (she's a boss) and also made our pictures look like we were the only people downtown D.C. that day. Bridal party & family portraits she was able to corral a lot of people, maintain control, keep the schedule on time, and ensure everyone looked and felt their best.
  
  During our reception, Abby brought over an iPad with a few sneak peek images from our day. These brought me to tears because she made my dream day a reality and the pictures captured it better than I could have ever imagined! My friends and family won't stop commenting on our photos are and I couldn't be more thankful that I was lucky enough to have AGP as my photographer!

  Abby has a contagious laugh, warm personality, and an eye for the perfect light and photo opportunity. Not only is Abby friendly and super professional, she has the ability to make her clients feel like they are her only clients. Abby makes it a priority to really get to know her clients--from phone calls, in-person meetings, questionnaires, etc.--so that when the wedding day arrives the client feels like a close friend is there celebrating with them. Speaking from experience, it is so much easier to pose for hundreds of photos when you are comfortable with the person behind the lens!
  
  My husband and I were lucky enough to snag one of Abby's open weekends for our May 2016 wedding. We were nervous (and camera-shy) going into our engagement session, but Abby chatted and joked with us during the entire sunrise session which immediately put us at ease. On our wedding day it felt like we were spending time with an old friend! There weren’t any uncomfortable or awkward poses, and everything felt so natural. The pictures are stunning and our family and friends keep raving about our incredible photographer. Everyone loves Abby and her amazing talent!

Photography was one of the most important factors in my wedding, and Abby was worth every penny because she was one of those vendors I knew I could trust the morning of my wedding. She reached out to my MOH the morning of my wedding and picked up my dress and shoes. By the time we arrived at the venue to get ready, she had already taken all the detail pictures and was ready to start shooting the bridal party.
  
  Abby was able to command attention and bang out photos so quickly with our wedding party and families. She definitely has her process down and doesn't need the bride & groom to be giving directions. Our wedding photos turned out even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. My only complaints are the cost of the albums and a few key photos that were missed (this is partially my fault because the day flew by so quickly). Regardless, I would recommend Abby to anyone who is looking for a top class photographer.

  How do you review perfection? I'm gonna try. Lets start with the basics. Abby isn't just a photographer she is an artist. She sees things I still don't understand how she was able to see in spaces that only appear to come alive when taken through her lens. She can put people at ease so that their personalities shine through the photos rather than their stage faces or anxiety. My husband HATEs having his picture taken but after our engagement session, something he basically dreaded that I dreamed about, he said he actually looked forward to Abby taking his picture at the wedding. This means she is a miracle worker; she made my husband actually want a picture taken! And his comfort around her is so clear in the pictures! He describes her as "having the most fun personality ever" and I couldn't agree more. She kept everyone laughing and having fun all day. I also appreciate her airy style that captures photos that you actually want to frame on walls like art work rather than stuffy photos for a book to hide away. Abby will work with you and traveled down to Blacksburg to take out sunrise engagement photos at Virginia Tech. She was incredibly attentive to all my emails and requests for info from my wedding planner. We included our Wheaten Terrier and she captured the most amazing pictures of him, which I treasure forever and it was featured on Style Me Pretty! No one has anything negative to say about Abby... I don't possibly know how they could. Abby has a special talent of being able to give directions, while being direct at times especially if people are blocking an important photo, while being so friendly, fun, and personable!   Abby is one amazing photographer. In my opinion she is the best around. She made my husband enjoy engagement photos. She is fun and really loves her couples. Our pictures are absolutely amazing! She was so fun to work with, I'd recommend her any day of the week!

  My husband and I LOVED having Abby take photographs for our wedding. Photos are one of the few things you actually get to keep after the wedding is over so it was really important to us to have a quality photographer and photos. Abby is one of the nicest people we know and she is so generous with her time and her advice. I wish I could get married every day so Abby could shoot it and make me look and feel beautiful!

  I have to admit, as a wedding planner, I had followed Abby's blog for about a year before getting engaged myself so I already knew that her work was STUNNING. Abby even went out of her way to travel 2 hours for ours so that we could do the pictures in a place that was special to us. On our wedding day we had scheduled in plenty of time for photos before the ceremony, as well as a first look and even though we ended up about 20 minutes behind at one point (while getting ready), Abby got all of the pictures completed with no trouble. She made sure to get a list of details I wanted shot and was a blast to work with. Both of our families and the bridal party enjoyed working with her. Another thing I really loved about Abby's photography is that she doesn't just take the stuffy wedding photos. She takes creative, fun photos and they really felt personal to Josh and I. By the time we returned from our honeymoon our photos were already in a online album for us to look at. As a wedding planner, I've never seen wedding photos come back to a couple so quickly and it was an awesome post-honeymoon present to come home to!

  Our journey with Abby began over a year and a half ago when my husband and I got engaged in November 2011. My husband and I decided to meet with her for an interview at Starbucks. We knew we had no obligation to sign with her and we still had plenty of time to meet with other photographers. She was the first photographer we met, and we signed the contract the next day. If you are a client and ever meet with Abby, you will know exactly what I mean when I say that her passion for her talent is palpable and her energy is contagious. She is a professional and savvy business woman who knows her stuff, but loves what she does and loves getting to know her clients.
  
  Abby shot our wedding on April 13, 2013 after a 17 month period of engagement and tedious planning. When Abby arrived to my honeymoon suite at 11 o'clock on Saturday morning I remember feeling relieved. I knew that from this moment forward, anything important, beautiful, or memorable would be captured by Abby's lense. I knew that she would see the things that I was too distracted to see, and that she would catch the emotions on peoples' faces that perfectly illustrated the love and happiness of our big day. What I love best about Abby's work is she captures not only the details, but the raw emotion and joy that life has to offer all of us. She captures moments for exactly what they are, and she misses nothing.
  
  It goes without saying that I have gotten numerous compliments on Abby's work since our big day. By looking through her photos, my husband and I and our families are able to relive the pure happiness that we felt that day, and see all of the guests on film who mean so much to us. In my opinion, you can't put a price on that.

Abby is very professional, punctual, and accommodating. In addition to photography, she went above and beyond in helping me obtain permits for our photography sites, and helped me plan my wedding timeline. This was a great stress relief for a busy bride.
