Everything we wanted!

Miss April was so helpful in all aspects of the process and we couldn't have asked for anything more. She was kind, sweet, attentive and was always there to answer any questions we had. She prepared the Marriage License for us and even notarized it for us. She helped us to write our wedding vows and had such a soothing voice during our ceremony that she really put us at ease. We thank you so much for making our day such a fantastic occasion. Even our guests loved her!

Love and professionalism

The experience with April was phenomenal, to get to the place we were lost but she very kindly came out and showed us the place, she received us in her office, very patient, very committed and willing to help, then we went to the ceremony, where we reaffirmed our commitment in marriage and our words made him very sentimental. An incredible person, and we are very grateful to have chosen her. God bless you.

I could not recommend April Baker enough!!! She was very responsive and very easy to work. She has numerous recommendations in regards to ceremony scripts and thoughtful additions, and she allowed us to write our own ceremony script. She has a lovely and caring personality and truly enjoys what she does. She was the perfect officiant and brought wonderful loving energy to our ceremony.

The right choice for us

April was totally the right person for helping us with our wedding ceremony. She provided us with useful information and guidance when we started with our plans and gave us helpful feedback when we wrote our own non-religious ceremony script and vows. She was great about adapting to our style and was professional about her attire and manner on our wedding day. She even managed to adjust on the spot and handled the interruption with grace when my three year old niece flower girl decided she absolutely had to go use the bathroom during our ceremony. I would highly recommend April as a wedding officiant.

Great Experience

April is very thorough and communicates well. Even when she had something personal in her own life going on, she was responsive. She provided us with sample vows and readings and let us work from there. She is very kind and well-spoken, and she is punctual. During our ceremony, my children were very talkative; April handled it all very well!

Very quick response, very nice, and very professional!

We decided we just wanted a quick, simple and economical ceremony. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done in Alabama. We live all the way down in Bibb county and couldn’t find anyone that would perform a quick, simple ceremony on our time schedule for a reasonable price. Even obtaining the marriage license in the surrounding counties in central Alabama was more difficult. They required picture ID’s, SS cards, copy of your divorce decree (if previously married and divorced) and were cash only. We decided to obtain our marriage license in Madison county because all they needed was an ID. I saw this listing and sent an email as we were in route to the courthouse. I instantly received a reply from April, and briefly told her our situation. She told us to call after we got done at the courthouse. I called and walked across the street to her office. She was very nice and professional, and gave us the option to either have the service in the office, or go to the park. We decided to just have the service in the office. She took her time with us and went above and beyond what we expected. We very much recommend them to anyone wanting a quick, no hassle marriage ceremony at a very reasonable price. Although I can’t personally speak for how a more elaborate ceremony would be, I have no doubts that they would go above and beyond to make the day special and go about it in a professional and courteous manner!

Memorable Day

My husband and I wanted something with just the two of us at the house and she provided that. She was really nice and informative and even took pictures for us. If I had a question before the ceremony she always responded quickly. She comes highly recommended from the Fulphers.

She made it a special day

We were looking only for a little ceremony without having to go through much trouble and we found just that and more with April. Already the first call was very pleasant. She was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The ceremony in the room upstairs was just perfect - not too long and not too short. She also gave us plenty of time for taking pictures and had the weather played along, she would have taken picture of us outside as well. Thank you April!

The process was fast, convenient and intimate even still. We obtained our marriage license from the courthouse and walked right next door! We paid less than $100, and our officiant gave us options of doing our vows in office or across the street at the park. She even took beautiful pictures of us and allowed us to prop our phones so that we could record everything. We highly recommend! It was truly perfect!

Mrs. April was fabulous! She was actually recommended to us by my husbands sister/my sister in law. We got to have my mother in law with us as well as my mom through FaceTime (since she lives out of state). It was absolutely perfect! We where in a little time crunch the day we got married. I called April before we got our marriage license that day and she was very kind and helpful. She gave us the address and as soon as we got there she did some paperwork and we had a little ceremony in her office. I would recommend her to anybody. Her office is right next to the Madison courthouse in Huntsville, AL.

April was great to work with. She responded to my inquiries very quickly and gave very detailed responses. My husband and I had a ceremony in South Korea and were looking to get documents legalized here in the States. We had a civil ceremony at April’s office. April was willing to go out somewhere so that we could get some nice pictures. We chose to have her take a photo of us at her office instead. We enjoyed working with April.

My husband and I decided last minute that we wanted to get married before he went back to North Carolina where he is stationed with the Marines! I asked multiple offiants in the area and no one was available or willing with such a short notice! But luckily we got a response back and made a plan that worked for everyone! We were so happy how it turned out. It was very intimate just the three of us and she was very accommodating! It was a special moment for the both of us and we will never forget it! She took some pictures of us as well since it was only us three there and I love them so much! She even gave us a military discount which was very sweet! We had an overall great experience and would recommend to anyone!

We can not say enough good things about our experience with April conducting our marriage ceremony and most important of all was allowing God to be present at all times. The officiant was responsive, professional and flexible. Due to weather and illness our service was rescheduled on short notice twice. She was gracious and accommodating. This was my 2nd marriage and didn't want the expense or hassle of a "wedding". My father actually found April and oh my gosh, what a blessing she was/is. Just by chance I did a search for wedding options in the HSV area and this place popped up first. I am glad it did, as everything about this choice is top-notch. From the simplicity of gathering info to the actual ceremony itself we were totally pleased. April made everything so simple and understandable that we felt comfortable selecting this location. Both myself and my lady had done limousine weddings in Las Vegas on previous weddings, and the way this flowed put both of us at ease. For years I said I'd never get married again, but after meeting my gal, and working with April I knew I was making the right choice. If you want an experience to remember may I suggest this place.

April is amazing!!!! After not being able to find her conveniently located office (no pun intended) from where we parked, we were late for our own wedding. We wanted very simple (basically just to say our vows) and after assuring us that being late was ok we done just that. April is very genuine, personable and patient. We searched for a while trying to find someone to officiate our ceremony. I came across April and although she was 2 hours away she agreed to do it. April is very accommodating, professional, no frills and really simplified my plans. I live in Michigan, my then fiancee, (now wife), lived near Huntsville. I originally had planned to get married in TN., assuming that it would be more simple than what Alabama would require. I couldn't find my social security card before hitting the road, so if all else failed, we would drive back to Ohio and get married. Upon arriving in Alabama, I checked the requirements for marriage and they only required a drivers license and date of divorce if applicable. I found 'A Wedding Officiant' by using the duckduckgo.com search engine for Huntsville, AL. A short search later and a quick call the next day (Monday), and the date and time was confirmed. We wanted nothing fancy as it was the second marriage for us both. April Goosby is THE BEST. We got the license application the day before from the courthouse and did a dry run to her office. The convenience to the courthouse was fantastic. About a week later, my wife received the certified license in her mailbox. Great job April and you made it happen!! Thanks again April (and we'll stop in next time we're in Huntsville).
