Love, love, love them! I had major alterations done to my wedding dress and they made my vision a reality. Can't thank them enough!

The ladies at Stitch Witch are miracle workers! They were exremely willing to help me at the last minute after the seamstress at the bridal shop where I purchased my dress was unable to fix my dress after several attemps. I took my dress to them with only hours to spare and they fixed it! I have already reccomended them to several friends and family members including a soon to be bride!

Allison and the wonderful ladies of A Stitch Witch! I can not say enough kind and amazing words about this alteration group. Allison reconstructed my grandmother's wedding dress for my rehearsal perfectly, made an exquisite hair piece from the lace of my mother's veil, and tailored my wedding gown precisely. I felt like I was with family each time I went to them. They even helped my matron of honor from Australia who needed alterations three days before the wedding. Thank you Allison and thank you Stitch Witch!

I bought my wedding dress at Bridal's by Jodi and they use A Stitch Witch as their in-house alterations specialists. Mrs. Roberta completed my alterations and my dress fit me PERFECTLY. She also went above and beyond when she noticed the veil I had bought online did not match the color of my dress. She handmade me a veil that matched it exactly! The price was a bit higher than I expected, but still reasonable considering my dress was entirely beaded from top to bottom. It was well worth the quality of her work!

    The alterations seemed expensive.

Hem turned out perfect on my dress. Unfortunately, when I showed up for to pick up my dress, straps were improperly placed and bustle had not been done. Assured that it would be done the next day and it had still not been done. They were apologetic and finished it on the spot, was a little frustrating at the time, but they did get it done. Overall, I think the quality of the work was good.

Purchased my dress off the rack at Bridals by Jodi. Worked with this place for alterations, but given the chance, would not choose to do so again. Both employees I interacted with were seriously lacking for customer service skills & tended toward the pushy/bossy side. At least the alterations services were well done, but they were quite expensive & I was forced to pick up my dress 25 hours prior to my wedding.

Stitch Witch was recommended to me by my bridal salon as their exclusive vendor for alterations. At my first fitting I was told and demonstrated I would receive the type of bustle I wanted. At my second fitting an entirely different bustle was sewn on and the seamstress opted to do the other one because she felt it looked better on the dress and the other style would make my butt look big (her exact words!). I was very upset. Eventually, they sewed a different bustle in but it was still not what I was told I could have originally. My dress also came back dirty from the shop and my salon had to clean it (the day before my wedding!).

Would not recommend - terrible attitude and skills. I used Stitch Witch through the White on Daniel Island where I purchased the dress and naively didn’t realize I had other options. At my first fitting after their initial alterations, the hem was very visibly uneven. They were supposed to correct and send back to White. After a confusing phone call with them a few weeks later they seemed unclear on what needed to be done. I reminded them and asked if I should come in again - they were adamant I did not and were borderline rude. When I went to pick up at White the hem was still messed up - an expensive alteration because of the lace. Jodi at White had to fix herself in a matter of hours because of my bridal portraits. After all was said and done I also noticed they changed the look of the dress on the back from shoddy alterations on the bodice. The bodice never really fit right. My biggest regret about my wedding was the alterations. Go elsewhere!

Absolutely horrible! Please go to Just a Tuck over a witch stitch. The name says it all. I am a struggling honest college graduate that would love to be in my best friends wedding but, could barely afford the dress. After they gave me a hard time for coming in and not having an appointment they allowed me to get fitted anyways. The woman that pinned my dress that took all of 3 minutes was very sweet. The woman that seemed to be the person in charge was extremely rude. AFTER the pinning was done she told me the dress would cost $125. I told her the dress was $200 and I could not afford that at all and that I was really sorry. I offered to pay her for taking the time to pin me thinking a measly $5 would be okay and then she told me I had to pay $15 for pinning for what really took 3 minutes max. Again I'm living penny to penny paying college tuition on my own so the $15 for nothing really hurt my pocket and I still have to get my dress hemmed. I started crying because the bills that have been coming in for school and just trying to pay rent have been overwhelming and she was pretty much stealing money from my cost of living. She stood there waiting for my credit card and then started criticizing me for crying. Again the one woman that worked there was really sweet and could have saved me from never returning however the woman that refused to let 3 min go and charge me $15 that I need ruined that Unfortunately, this has been the worst year for my mom. I wish that some of her medical bills could be taken care of or at least a shopping spree since she never treats herself and only helps others! She has worked several jobs my entire life raising two amazing daughters and bends over backwards for us! I wish I could do more but maybe she will one day get the break she needs and truly deserves for being the strongest and best mom EVER! I'm so lucky to have an amazing role model like her! Love her a million Mac and Cheese noddles! #wishforit

I can't believe this shop continues to stay in business. My daughter bought a wedding gown at Jodi's Bridal in No. Charleston off the rack which needed to be altered. Stitch Witch is their in-house alteration service so it was assumed that we could get better service and pricing. Right from the start we interfaced with an older, gray haired woman that had a bad attitude at each and every appointment, both at the bridal shop and at her own store. We all have a bad day now and then but when you have a set appointment time and you are greeted with a scowl and "What are you doing here? I don't have any dress ready for you." that is not a positive for business. Only after paying extra money was the dress finished dangerously close to the wedding date. The workmanship was shoddy and overpriced. If you have alterations to be done of any kind I would strongly advise going anywhere else.
