Highly Recommend!

We booked A Silverware Affair for our September 2025 wedding and they did awesome! They were very timely with email and phone communication, had a very large and diverse menu, and their staff during the planning process and the day of were great.

We also used them for plates, utensils, glassware, linens, bartending, and hors d'oeuvres. As you can tell from the photos, everything looked great, we highly recommend them!

Highest recommendations

Please see my review on Bell Mill Mansion on FB. These folks were amazing and the food was excellent! And best of all, they were incredibly affordable. Yes, I gulped a little when I saw my total but for the number of guests planned or even the cost per person was less than if we were at a hotel resort and this was so much better! Look no further!

I LOVED using A Silverware Affair! They respond very quickly by email and were great about responding to all the questions I had (I had a LOT)! I think you'd be hard pressed to find another caterer who charges the same amount for such high quality service! I loved how they even made sure their table decorations matched my reception theme.

Amazing bar options

A Silverware affair did a great job with our wedding! The food was delicious (especially the Mac and Cheese!), and they worked with us to tailor our plan to our needs. They had both open bar and cash bar options. Because the open bar option was so reasonably priced, we went with this option. I would definitely recommend them!

Perfection!

I’m not sure who could say more about their catering services- myself and my husband, or our guests! A week later and people are still raving about the food. We selected a buffet option (tenderloin, chicken, red potatoes, asparagus, and salad), the presentation was great and the food was absolutely delicious!! My mom is a tough critic and was worried about quality when we hadn’t been able to do a tasting (out of town mother panic!) but I was pleased with the reviews and assured her all would be perfect; she has since given them an A++ rating! I’m addition to the actual food, Kaitlynn was a dream to work with- she was responsive, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. You can’t go wrong with A Silverware Affair!! (I should also note we rented their linens which were also beautiful and great quality)

We had a wonderful experience with Kaitlynn and A Silverware Affair. Kaitlynn was very responsive (always responded to email within a day or two) and happily answered any questions I had. They arrived a couple of hours early the day of the wedding and made our venue (my parent's barn with no running water) work with no problem. Guests raved about the food. I just said I was writing a review and my husband said "great horseradish sauce." Thank you! We highly recommend.

I knew I wanted to use A Silverware Affair for our catering the moment I called. They took our info and immediately sent customized options based on our conversation. They worked with me and took my many many phone calls with professionalism and grace. They arrived early and had everything in place long before the guests arrived. They were flexible even during the event with special requests. The food was stellar! People are still talking about it. If you want a truly memorable experience, and GREAT food you just cant call anyone else.

We couldn't have done it any better! The food and bartending services were wonderful. Everyone raved about the brisket, mac & cheese tartlets, and the fried pickles. The wine/beer bar was well-stocked with what we'd requested and at a very reasonable price!

This was my 50th Wedding Anniversary party. This group of workers were the best. It was almost like they were part of the family. They helped me in every way. The food was the best. Everyone told me how much they loved the food. The venue was great and party was fabulous. Best time my husband and I have ever had.

It was a joy and privilege to work with the Silverware Affair for our wedding day. I actually met with the company only once before the wedding (in person), because I was coordinating the event long distance, from another city. The staff and team at the Silverware Affair were exceedingly helpful and great at communication. Any questions I had they were more than happy to answer. They were also super helpful and accommodating. They gave me flexibility to adjust and tweak the menus to my husband and my liking and their food was to die for. The icing on top was that their food display was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't have to worry one bit about decorating the foodline because they made it gorgeous. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a catering service!!! They also helped us find our FABULOUS DJ!!! If you need amazing food for a great price look no further!

A silverware affair did a great job for our wedding! I was planning long distance, and their staff was very willing to work with me and even set up a special tasting for us on the weekend (even though it was a holiday weekend) since it was when my husband and I would be in town. On the day of the wedding, their staff and set up went seamlessly, and the food was delicious and very high quality. We had multiple compliments on how good the food was. Additionally, they work hard to make sure their decor matches your wedding theme- I had a rustic vintage theme and they were able to make the buffet and buffet tables fit right in. They were great!

A Silverware Affair was very professional and the food was fantastic!!! They were great from the beginning to end. When we set up our consultation meeting they had prepared our full meal so we could taste everything! They were very diligent about emailing and checking in to make sure I didn't need to change anything. I had several gluten free guests at my wedding and Silverware Affair allowed me to tell them how many gluten free meals I needed! The day of the wedding, they were on time with their arrival and set everything up how my coordinator told them. They provided their own decorations which went along with my wedding theme and took care of their own set up and tear down. I didn't have time to eat the food...but everyone I talked to at the wedding LOVED the food and the desserts provided by this caterer. I would recommend Silverware Affair to anyone!

The food was a hit!!! From the beautiful display of hors d'oeuvres to the delicious main course (good ole southern bbq pork and chicken with cole slaw, baked beans and the most delicious mac n' cheese you've ever put in your mouth), this company was spectacular.
Prompt, professional and with a wide variety of dishes to suit just about any budget, I would highly recommend A Silverware Affair

Wow! They nailed it! I wanted something to repesent my hometown and my husbands. The menu was perfect! I asked them to make a small change to the Macaroni and Cheese and they did not hesitate to make the change. The food was perfect and there was plenty of it.

From Inception of the event to the completion of the event, A SILVERWARE AFFAIR delivered. The staff was prompt, professional and courteous. The set up was absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious and plentiful. I was so pleased with the service that I will be hiring them again for my next event. Very pleased! As a former catering Director for 12 years I knew what I wanted and how I wanted it and they were very accommodating and professional to all my emails and requests. Having planned many weddings but never my own I wanted to be in control of everything but as the bride it just is not possible on the day of the event with everything else going on but I did not have to worry about anything. They had everything under control. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. I feel confident that they could handle and would be happy to take care of any event you may have big or small.

A Silverware Affair catered our wedding reception and brunch. Our entire experience with them was truly amazing!!! Many of our wedding guests commented that we had the best wedding food they've ever tasted. In addition to delicious food, the staff was so friendly and helpful. We could not be happier with A Silverware Affair. The main thing that I was thinking about when hiring a caterer was how the food would taste, which was delicious. But A Silverware Affair was much more than that. Their team is amazing. We had rented tables, chairs, place settings etc. and hired them to setup the room with rented items and flowers. When they were done with the room it looked better than I had imagined. The buffet that they setup was decorated beautifully. I had made suggestions of how I wanted the room set up. They made some adjustments when they got there which was much better than my original plan. They were on top of everything. If a guest had spilled something before you knew it someone on their staff was cleaning it up. They made the day run so smoothly. Do not think twice about hiring them!

Hands down the BEST catering I've ever had, seen, or heard of.....and I'm experienced in the wedding business! ! The catering and staff present at my wedding were exceptional! My husband and I had a fabulous experience with the Silverware Affair! We had both worked in restaurants, and have pretty high standards for service and food. These guys didn't disappoint. They gave us so many options to choose from, and let us customize exactly what we wanted served at our wedding, with out blowing our budget. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and communicating with them couldn't have been easier.
They provided a beautiful buffet that tasted just as good as it looked. I wouldn't change anything about our experience with the Silverware Affair if I could. They did an AMAZING job, and I would highly recommend them!

From the start, A Silverware Affair was a dream vendor! We did not have a huge budget to spend, but they worked with us to create my dream menu within our small budget. They were also very willing to create new things and tweak menu items to insure we got exactly what we wanted. They also provided decorations for the buffet tables and we received numerous compliments about the gorgeous display! The food was absolutely delicious and everything was just perfect! In the end, we were incredibly happy to have worked with A Silverware Affair and I would recommend them to anyone.

Wow! What more can I say? Tara, Kathy, and the rest of the crew were simply wonderful! While my wife and I were busy meeting and greeting family and friends, Kathy made sure we were able to enjoy the passed treats as well as the delicious steak and fish entree we had on our menu. Our guests absolutely raved about the food as well as the service. The bar staff was able to prepare our signature cocktail to perfection. Simply put: They gave us a memorable experience. We could not have been happier with every aspect of our catering services for our daughter's wedding reception. It was such a pleasure to work with Shirley to plan our menu; she had such a good feel for what we wanted and helped us make the most important day of our daughter's life absolutely perfect.

I would recommend A Silverware Affair to anyone wanting to cater a special occasion. So many of our guests complimented the food and the professional staff. As long as A Silverware Affair catering is available, I wouldn't use anyone else.

We were extremely pleased with Silverware Affair. We had a beautiful day for the wedding in our back yard. The temperature was in the 70's. The azaleas were in bloom. Silverware Affair did a fantastic presentation and food was fabulous. Every guest I spoke with raved about the food. Their associates were professional and courteous. Their two bartenders did a great job. And in the end they left the serving rooms, the kitchen and the outdoor bar areas spotless.

A Silverware Affair did the catering for my October 13th wedding at The Gallery in Red Bank. Now that things have settled down for us, I wanted to say thank you for the excellent job A Silverware Affair did at my wedding. We received so many compliments on how wonderful and tasty everything was! We even had the chance to eat a little bit between the ceremony and reception, and fortunately there was enough left over for us to sample a little bit of everything the next day. It was delicious! Our New England guests really enjoyed the Southern- themed menu, and our Southern guests were impressed with the authenticities of the foods. Thank you for providing such a wonderful product that was well priced and had the excellent customer service to back everything up!

Shirley was WONDERFUL! She made sure that things were done the way the bride wanted them done. If people gave her other information, she checked with me first so that nothing was changed. The food was wonderful - people comlimented the food all night long. The service was wonderful - no one had to wait on food to be refilled. Value - we definitely got our money's worth and then some. Highly recommend this company.

A Silverware Affair did a FANTASTIC job for our wedding! We were a little afraid at how the food would be since we never did a tasting with them... but it was AMAZING. Our guests raved about how good the food was!

Tara, who was our point of contact throughout the majority of the process, was simply wonderful. She was very professional, courteous, patient, and quick to respond to any questions we had.

The staff provided the day of the event were also great! They set up everything perfectly at the venue and were super nice. They also made a point to make sure that my husband and I had something to eat.

Our guests absolutely LOVED the bartender that was hired out from another company (Raising the Bar) as well! She made amazing drinks.

If we ever are in need for a caterer again, A Silverware Affair will definitely be the people we call!

I had a very tight budget, and A Silverware Affair made the reception I had envisioned happen! On the wedding day I didn't see much of what happened behind the scenes, but the setup was gorgeous and the food tasted better than I had imagined. The staff made sure we were taken care of at the bride & groom table which made it personal and convenient.

I used A Silverware Affair for my son's wedding reception at our church. The food was absolutely fantastic! I received a million compliments on the caterers and the food. People especially loved the petite chicken parmesan on crisps, and the Italian style meatballs were amazing!
I had also rented a milk chocolate fountain with different items for dipping and it was the hit of the event! The guests kept going back for seconds and thirds and it brought a lot of delight to the people, and made for a good visual presentation over by the wedding and groom's cake tables.
I told my husband that I was amazed at the caterers' efficiency. They were very professional, and checked with me to make sure that all of my specifications had been fulfilled. The set up of the buffet and chocolate fountain was absolutely elegant and the food was displayed so beautifully. But the most interesting thing was the way the team worked together. I felt like a SWAT team landed at the door, set everything up, served all the people, and then cleaned up the buffet, the kitchen, and the tables, and even had taken all the trash out before I had time to change my shoes after the event! It was amazing.
With all that said, the most impressive thing to me about A Silverware Affair's service is the fact that as the hostess I was very stressed. The wedding and wedding reception had actually already happened the day before. The event that I was hosting was a second wedding reception for my son and his new wife on the day after. I was extremely tired and anxious about my event because the wedding had been over-the-top beautiful. The caterers kept in constant contact with me as all was being set up and they had such positive and kind personalities that they calmed me down and I felt like a million bucks when the first guests walked in! It was an invaluable experience for me and I am definitely going to use them again for a house warming party! Thank you A Silverware Affair!!!

From our very first meeting to develop plans for our daughter's wedding, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We used A Silverware Affair for both our rehearsal dinner and reception (100 people on Friday and and 170 on Saturday). We did not have a formal wedding planner but Sheryl and her company guided us through all the things we needed to consider. As with most wedding plans they changed along the way. Sheryl was right there to help us.

When Shirley and her Staff arrived at the Friday night dinner, I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel even though we were at a State Park in a wonderful indooor/ outdoor setting. I lost count of how many guest commented on the service and overall quality of the meal.

So what did they do on Saturday, they topped Friday. Shirley was even down at the ceremony helping the Bride and the Dad with last minute nerves about the ceremony..what a sweetheart! The food and service was wonderful once again. They were back right on time the next day to move away chairs and linens so that the building could be cleaned.

Sheryl, Shirley and all the people behind them made their part of our daughter's wedding perfect. So the entire event was exactly what my daughter and new son can remember for a lifetime as their special moment!

My daughter was married at Gwinnett Envioronmental and Heritage Center in Buford, Ga. on May 5th, 2012. We had to provide everything but chairs and tables. A Silverware Affair provided linens, buffet set up, buffet (amazing food!!), mixers and bartenders. They were extremely professional and many thanks to Sheryl, the coordinator and her staff, it was a perfect day. The food and services was wonderful. Our family and friends had lots of compliments for the food and the staff. The bartenders were lots of fun and did a great job. I would recommend this vendor 100%%! 5 stars out of 5 stars!!

Can't say enough wonderful things about this caterer!! As a former catering company owner myself, I know the work that goes into an event. I can say in all honesty, in my professional opinion, these folks couldn't have done a better job. The on site staff consisted of a team of very attractive, hard working, super nice, and very professional people with a strong positive attitude and a desire to please. The food was much better than I ever expected for the price we paid and although we had fewer guests than we planned for, the remaining food was neatly packaged and sent home with my family. (The next day, my new husband and I enjoyed a lunch of really GREAT leftovers before heading to the airport for a honeymoon in Norway) If you are uneasy or unsure about your caterer, drop them. GO with THIS one!! You will NOT be disappointed!! I give them FIVE STARS on EVERYTHING!!! And will be using them again!!!!

From the very beginning A Silverware Affair were so helpful. Starting from the meeting and taste testing to figuring out what we wanted as far as silverware, plates, glasses to the awewome food, they were very professional. They were quick to answer any of my questions by phone or by email. Their was no worry at the reception to serving, picking up, cake serving, etc. So many guests complimented the food, and how quick they were to picking up dinner plates. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.. So much so that I used them again for another reception on December 10, 2011.

Everything was absolutely amazing. We got so many compliments on EVERYTHING. Your staff was so courteous and attentive to every guest and they all noticed it. I could not be happier with how it all turned out.

We left straight from the reception to drive to Knoxville and then fly down to our honeymoon at Disney, and the staff had packed us this amazing goodie bag of yummy food to take with us. They included EVERYTHING (even some of BOTH cakes). It was not only delicious, but just wonderful to be able to finally relax as just the two of us and enjoy letting everything sink in about being an officially married couple :)

Thank you again sooooo much for how beautiful and wonderful you made my reception. Not only with the food, but with excellent staff and decorations and well...EVERYTHING. It truly was my dream come true.

We used A SilverWare Affair for my daughter's wedding and were quite pleased with them. They were very accommodating to our requests and very friendly & professional. The food was excellent! I'm picky about food (and everything else!) and it was excellent. I had concerns that a caterer would have 2nd class food but their food was 1st class! The Hors d'oeuvres shrimp was very fresh and I could have made a meal on them. The beef and pepper shiskabob's were great too! The main course was Tilapia and chicken. Both were moist and seasoned nicely. The veggies were great too! Many of our guests complimented them too. Thanks A Silverware Affair!

I was more than happy with the service I received from A Silverware Affair. I was planning from out of town the majority of the time and they responded to all of my needs and questions in a timely manner. (very fast actually) I was impressed by the tasting we scheduled and even more impressed on the day of the wedding. Everything and everyone was wonderful. We had a tight budget, but also wanted to be able to enjoy our daughter's wedding. We contacted A Silverware Affair & had a tasting. The food was excellent, but on the day of the wedding, it was FANTASTIC!!! There were so many compliments on the food (even by the most avid "foodies") it was unbelievable. The display of it was stunning as well. We had asked for help in terms of service & cleanup. That too was worth every penny, if not a million bucks (if we had it!) They were very unobtrusive & totally professional, walking around refilling drinks, taking away used plates. etc. Then at the end of the evening they asked repeatedly was there anything else they could do & were we satisfied. They left the place immaculately clean. I can't remember names, but Shirley was in charge, I believe-such a sweet person. We certainly have a warm place in our hearts for everything they did for us, making it a totally perfect day. I'd recommend them to anyone for an event. They were just awesome.

I would recommend A Siverware Affair to anybody in need of quality and inventive, different caterings. For example, my girlfriend is half Syrian, and I wanted something with a Middle Eastern feel to it for our anniversary. The Babaghanoush and Tabouleh, along with a few other exotic offerings, were excellent! They offer great specific "stations" as well as "themed" buffets. It kinda satisfies every palate. We had lots of great and surprised comments at after out anniversary party. The staff took the time to answer any questions that I had about which food to use and in what order to present it. They also made the planning of the event much easier and streamlned. A Silverware Affair was very flexible in working around my somewhat "unusual" needs and I will use them in the future.

All I can say is wow!! We had a Firefighter wedding and their decor and set up was beautiful! The food was wonderful!! I received so many compliments about the display and the taste!! Tara and her staff was so easy to work with and responded to my every question I had, which was a lot =) She was very affordable and worked with my budget. They took care of everything with the food, set up and clean up. They even cut and served the cake as well as make me and my husband plates and served us!! I HIGHLY recommend her for any wedding or event!

Here was my menu and we loved it - Mini Beef Tenderloin Biscuits with Horseradish Cream, Bacon Wrapped Gulf Sea Scallops, Assorted Garden Fresh Marinated Crudit�s
Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus Spears, Domestic and International Cheese Selections with Crackers, Crab Imperial Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Baked Spinach and Artichoke Cheese Tartlets, Asian Ginger Sesame Chicken Satays, Assorted Fresh Fruit Display with Vanilla Cream - we had a hard time deciding what to pick but they really helped us out. They did a great job of setting everything up for us and they did exactly what they promised they would - it made our wedding easy! I would definitely use them again...the staff was very nice and seemed really excited about our day and we thought that was so great considering they probably cater a million weddings a year...they were my favorite vendor to deal with!

Tara has been amazing every step of the way! I married a military man and we were planning a wedding date 1 1/2 years away but duty calls and had to plan a wedding in only 3 months. From the moment I contacted Tara for information about A Silverware Affair she answered questions, offered assistance in ideas, helped me stay close to my budget. I called several places and A Silverware Affair beat other prices and was friendlier and more helpful to what I wanted. Our bartender was exceptional, and SO friendly! I have had so many guests compliment how friendly, timely, helpful, presentable, and even how adorable everyone was from this company. After our first dance the waiters came up and said to my husband and I a lot of times the bride and groom get so busy at the reception they forget to eat. We want y'all to eat your plate is ready when you are ready. I just got home from my honeymoon last night and my facebook is filled with comments on how much the food was enjoyed! One of my guests has even asked about A Silverware Affair for their anniversary. One of my appetizers was the sish kabobs- all of them were eaten and today a guest from my wedding told me-"oh my gosh, they were so good I thought I was eating so many I wouldn't have room for my dinner", they were a hit with the children also! Coq Au Vin was our main course and I had never had it and just thought it sounded tasteful and different. We really enjoyed it and my husband has even told me he wants us to try making it!! A Silverware Affair was seriously worth every dollar spent. They arrived on time and was already setting up when I arrived! If I ever know anyone who is looking for a caterer or if I need one again I will be calling Tara back. One of my concerns was me being long distance, (Columbus, Ga). They drove from Atlanta and never even mentioned uping their price for travel expenses. They were truly hassel free and everything was a piece of cake! Thank you so much everyone who helped with my wedding at A Silverware Affair!

A Silverware Affair (ASA) was great to work with!! I was impressed by them from the beginning. They were extremely responsive and helped me develop a delicious menu, which included items they had not created before. My husband and I met studying abroad in Brussels, Belgium and we wanted Belgian-style fries and waffles as a late night snack. At our tasting, ASA had these items to sample (they had flown in the pearl sugar for the waffles from California just for our tasting and had the fries in a paper cone, just like in Belgium!) and I must say, they nailed it! The presentation of all the food at our reception was beautiful, and everything was so delicious! Many guests went for seconds! The only things I weren't fully satisfied with were with the bartenders (weren't making the signature drink correctly- one forgot the whiskey, and they weren't always present, so guests were making drinks themselves) and that I didn't have my to-go plate for after the reception (which I had specified in the contract). Those are very minor things and I understand details get lost in translation. Overall I recommend them and would definitely use them again! I was very pleased with them and enjoyed working with them!

We truly appreciate all the hard work A Silverware Affair (Chattanooga) and it's employees did to ensure a successful wedding reception! The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation was unique and very appropriate towards the venue, and the servers were very prompt and attentive. Our questions leading up the wedding were addressed very promptly and they were amazing to make sure any request happened. Those who worked the event went above and beyond with organizing and ensuring my husband, myself, and all our family and guests were well taken care of. They took care of all last minute requests without a blink of the eye and just made it a very comfortable atmosphere!
We truly could not be happier or more satisfied with our decision to have A Sliverware Affair (Chattanooga) cater our wedding reception! You guys are great!!

A Silverware Affair was a wonderful company to work with and I was impressed from the very beginning when they came to my house to do a tasting!! I had considered several of the big caterers around the Atlanta area and even did some tasting with them but they were so expensive and the food wasn't really anything special. So, after tasting A Silverware Affair's food and comparing their very reasonable pricing, there was NO question in my mind! They were so easy to work with and were able to change things last minute as we thought of more items we wanted to add/remove in the last two weeks of planning. The food was wonderful and guests enjoyed their service throughout the night!

Best food ever

We still have people talking about this food. We had a larger wedding of 200 people so trying to feed that many at once, you might think that the chicken will be overdone, or beef tenderloin might not be cooked enough. BUT let me tell you everything that came out of the kitchen was perfect and tasted delicious. All our guests wanted more!!!

They did a WONDERFUL job with our food. Kaitlyn especially helped us envision our menu to be exactly what we wanted within our budget. The also helped us with other rentals to make our day easier. The only downside with the company is there are no tastings which is very intimidating for a bride. I will say everyone at our wedding raved about our food and how great it was we are very pleased with their service and would recommend it to any bride looking for a delicious menu and stress free day, because they do it all !

YUM! Our food was literally the best catered wedding food I've ever eaten. We had a weird country menu including biscuits and gravy and all of it was flavorful. I cant wait to go to the next wedding they catered. Only issue I had was the timing. They were a hour late for set up. All in all use them if you want great food!

A Silverware Affair catered both my Bridal Shower and Wedding Reception. I worked closley with the staff for 16 months making tons of changes and additions along the way. They helped guide me, answer any questions and worked with my budget consistinetly over the 16 month period and never made me feel slighted. There food was amazing and there services couldnt be beat! Overall I couldnt have asked for a better working relationship with A Silverware Affair and I look forward to the next big event I need to caterer with them! Highly Recommended!!!

This vendor was great! I would use them again if I had another event. We had some problems but they worked with us and it turned out to be a perfect reception because of them!

The food was GREAT, and the staff was extremely responsive and helpful. I didn't meet Kaitlynn, but every time I had a question I could just pick up the phone. They accommodated a few gluten free and vegan guests without any issues, which was much appreciated! I was wary to go with a caterer that I hadn't had a tasting with, but the results were worth it.

I used this vendor for appetizers only for my wedding. While they did respond to my emails quickly, the main receptionist was very rude. Additionally, before I signed the contract, I told them my max price per person, later I adjusted the head count from 190 to 170 and removed one of the appetizer items and they said "It would be the same price" because the reduced head count decreased the discount per item. I still agreed to sign the contract, which includes a space for tip, additionally the email mentions tipping and that industry standard tipping is 20%, we tipped before the service was performed, which we should not have done. The contract also states that you can revise the head count up to 21 days before your event, I called 22 days before the event to decrease the head count by 30, the receptionist told me "We DO NOT do head count decreases. Sorry, this is not an option, you are legally bound by the contract". I then spoke with the manager who also told me they would not decrease the head count. I explained that the contract said 22 days, she said it was only for headcount increases and again I already paid and was legally bound by the contract. The food was ready by the time they promised however the scallops and bacon were undercooked. Morale: I would not recommend them or use them again.

I used Silverware affair to cater my reception. I had a hard time finding a caterer to even give me the time of day....but when I found Silverware Affair, Tara emailed me back right away and seemed very helpful. I live in FL and got married in TN, so most of our communication was done over email. Everything seemed very simple....maybe too simple. I had asked for a specific type of chairs, the day of my wedding they showed up with the wrong chairs, when I questioned her about it after the wedding, she said yes we had spoke about the chairs but I never told her I wanted them...hello, then why did we speak about the chairs. In emails we had spoke many times about colored table clothes, but I told her I didn't know what color, and I would decide later, she told me that was fine, but when I decided on a color she told me she would have to charge me extra for the colored ones and the white ones she had already put on my contract. I ordered a tossed salad for the buffet which turned out just to be precut lettuce...I didn't think I had to ask if the tossed salad comes with anything other than lettuce, WOULD YOU? The food on the buffet as cold. There were many issues the night of!!! I contacted them after the wedding to talk about all the problems and she had an answer for everything---basically she didnt care cause she already had her money. The staff that worked my event was very friendly and helpful....but I would not recommend this company to anyone---if you do go with them, I would ask MANY QUESTIONS!! Ask about every little detail, even if you think its common sense and you think you know the answer, ask anyway. Even if you see a picture on their website, don't assume that is what you will get---I assumed and I didn't not get what I saw on their website!!

As far as the $300 tip--the staff working my event was great! I had NO ISSUES with the staff working that night. They were very nice and helpful, they did a great job. Why wouldnt we tip them.
