We are so grateful to have had Terumi as our wedding officiant—she was truly amazing and made our ceremony incredibly special.

From the very beginning, Terumi took the time to get to know us as a couple, and it really showed in the ceremony she crafted. It felt so personal, thoughtful, and completely us. Every word she spoke was meaningful, and her warmth, presence, and sincerity brought such a calm and loving energy to the moment.

Spiritually Aligned

Officiant Culmer was strategically placed in our lives for a time such as our Union. She was patient and kind when it came to Kristin and I needs. Terumi was a wonderful officiant who made our ceremony meaningful and memorable in so many ways. We received many compliments following our wedding of how much our guests enjoyed her ceremony. She was able to make non-denominational ceremony feel deep yet celebratory, and although I'm biased, I can say I've never enjoyed or resonated more with a wedding ceremony than with hers! There are many personal touches (optional, not required) that she brings that I've not seen before and really enjoyed.

Don't hesitate – hire Terumi today! She is an incredible value for what she provides and I'm so fortunate to have had her as my officiant.

EXCEPTIONAL Officiant - Perfection!

We had a private, backyard elopement and choosing Terumi as our officiant was the best decision we made. Her calm, grounded presence and attentiveness as an officiant made our ceremony special. Amazing experience!

Terumi was absolutely amazing to work with! She worked with us to customize the ceremony to be exactly what we had envisioned and felt so personable and thoughtful. Intimate Wedding Ceremony

Reverend Terumi Culmer made our wedding ceremony intimate, and we cannot thank her enough for the beautiful words spoken. She highlighted the main focal points of our love life to ensure our guests could capture a great understanding of us. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Reverend Culmer made it seem as if she had known us for years, and it was shown on our big day as she explained our love story and the reasons why we had fallen for each other. She goes in depth to customize the ceremony to perfection and makes your wedding an unforgettable day. The stress is relieved when you do not have to worry about the marriage certificate. This was a destination wedding in NC for us so Revered Culmer made sure everything was in order to receive our certificate less than two weeks after our wedding day. A true professional!!

We loved Terumi as our officiant and loved her pre-marriage course!

Terumi was amazing as our officiant! The entire ceremony was well thought out and her speeches and choice of words were beautiful! It was my dream ceremony as a result of her! We also had the opportunity to take her pre-marriage course which was spread out over 5 weeks! It was well worth the investment. I am not one to get into anything without learning more about it first and marriage (a life time commitment) is no exception. I highly recommend taking her pre-marriage course as it gives you tools and insights you will need to better yourself and your relationship throughout your marriage journey! Terumi herself was amazing and we enjoyed the opportunity of bonding with her through this course prior to her being our wedding officiant. She is incredibly kind, passionate, gentle, and healing. We can not recommend her enough!

100/10!! Such an amazing Experience!!

Terumi was GREAT! Our guests enjoyed her just as much as we did also which was awesome! In the planning stage we felt like she really took the time to get to know us and our story. She then portrayed it masterfully and beautifully during our ceremony. She took her time enough to emphasize how special and important our day was, but also didn’t keep us standing too long which was perfect! She is the most poised, professional and prepared officiant we’ve ever seen. We don’t plan on doing this again but If we had to do it all over we’d 1000% book Terumi again!! We truly enjoyed every part of her service and are looking forward to keeping in touch!

Amazing heartfelt ceremony

We decided to elope. The officiator was absolutely great. She kept constant communication to ensure that our day was exactly how we planned. Absolutely amazing!

Terumi is great! She is so sweet and kind. We had a couple of consultations leading up to the ceremony to make sure we had everything in order. She helped coach us through the process and was super helpful. Our ceremony ended up being exactly what we wanted! There was a great moment where she invited us to relish in the moment and connect with ourselves and feel our feet on the ground and that was our favorite part. 10/10 would recommend. AMAZING - A moment I’ll cherish for ever & I’m forever grateful for Terumi!

Obstacle upon Obstacle - but Terumi had a solution for everything. Honestly without her I probably wouldn’t of gotten married this past weekend! She was so flexible when we originally had to cancel our wedding and change the ceremony to an elopement. She helped with planning, vows, and basically the whole thing. We lost our photographer a few hours before the ceremony and she was so kind to ask her husband to come along to take pictures with his cell phone so we would capture a little bit of the moment. We went for a more spiritual approach versus the religious approach and let me tell you she had us both (myself and my husband) in tears and it was such a powerful moment. She was fantastic, I could say more but if you don’t hire her to officiate your wedding you’re missing out.

A great mountaintop wedding!

An Extraordinary Dream Come True

My fiance and I enrolled in Ms Culmer's Love Coaching sessions and she officiated our wedding ceremony. Ms Culmer is not only an expert in her craft but her wisdom, knowledge and compassion for others to broaden one's understanding of love, is absolutely incredible. There were so many areas that Ms Culmer presented to us in her sessions that we were not aware of.. It was incredible at how these areas stregthened our love. We were moved to embrace and feel the connectedness and with one another that needed more exploring. The sessions helped me to understand myself as I take my life-long journey of love with my now, husband and understand what love and marriage really means. Incredible experience!!

Our hearts are so full! Terumi was wonderful to work with throughout our wedding planning experience and on the wedding day! From the very first time we met Terumi at a café in downtown Hendersonville, we knew that she’d be perfect for us! She’s a great communicator (both in written and oral format), very warm and friendly, and truly cares about her clients. When COVID19 caused us to have to reschedule our wedding, she was extremely understanding and very accommodating, allowing us to switch to a new date—even when our new plan involved having an outdoor ceremony over a holiday weekend in mid-July. She truly takes time to get to know her clients on a personal level and the ceremony she crafted for us was very personalized and captured our love perfectly. She allowed us to view and edit the script ahead of time. And she incorporated a few surprises for us in the script (with our permission) that we enjoyed hearing for the first time the day of our wedding! Terumi was amazing. She was very responsive and wrote a really beautiful ceremony- she had everyone crying. I can’t imagine having a better officiant for our wedding. Beyond Amazing

Words cannot begin to describe how wonderful working with Reverend Culmer was. Professional, caring, punctual, the list goes on and on. Reverend Culmer was there for us and I felt as if she was part of the family on such a special day for my wife and I. She’s simply amazing!

Where do we begin with Mrs. Terumi! Terumi is was the officiant for my husband and I for our wedding day. I found her via Wedding Wire and I was drawn to her welcoming words and amazing reviews. We were currently working abroad and she agreed to Skype call us for a consultation. My husband agreed with everything that I told her about him. She is so genuine, kind and patient.

On wedding day, her words were very captivating. She wrote out our ceremony and made it so personalized for us. We read over it a few days before (we couldn’t wait) and we had tears in our eyes from how beautiful it was! Terumi was very flexible with any changes we needed to make and meeting with us. We will be using her for her marriage counseling services as well! You will love her.

Amazing experience

We were afforded an amazing premarital counseling and wedding experience. Participated in 4 premarital counseling sessions. The first was in person and this was followed up by 3 Skype sessions. Above and Beyond

Where do we even begin? Finding an officiant for our wedding day was one area that we were worried about in the beginning because it was so important to have someone who knows us to make our ceremony truly about us. Reverend Terumi was everything we could have hoped for and more in an officiant. When we initially spoke with her, she was still living out of state, but was moving to North Carolina prior to our wedding date. She had a conversation with the bride on the phone to make sure she was a good fit for us. Reverend Terumi was a great communicator and had quick responses for any questions/comments posed through e-mail. Prior to our wedding day, we met Reverend Terumi at a coffee shop were we had long conversations for her to get to know us well, understand our love story, understand our background, and understand Ryan and I as individual people and as a couple. She sent us the majority of the ceremony written up prior to our wedding day for us to approve (leaving out the parts we wanted to wait and hear on our actual wedding day) and sent us the updated script after our wedding day for a keepsake. The majority of weddings I've been to, the ceremony is SO short and not personal, but ours was at least 30 minutes and all about us, what we truly wanted. Reverend Terumi helped us incorporate friends and family for reading special passages and pick a unity ritual that we wanted on our day. The best comments we had after our wedding were from our guests who said, "I've never been to a ceremony like that," which was a great compliment. You will not be disappointed in hiring Reverend Terumi to be a part of your wedding day. We wouldn't have changed a thing and are so thankful to have found her through the Wedding Wire website.

Everyone raved about how great our ceremony was. Rev. Culmer spoke beautifully and captured our love for one another perfectly. I knew from the moment I spoke with her she had a wonderful spirit and would bring so much love to our wedding ceremony. I am so glad my wife found her!! Rev. Culmer is Amazing!

We had Rev. Terumi Culmer officiate our wedding. My husband is Catholic and I am Jewish. I was important to us to find someone who would perform a multi-faith ceremony. We absolutely made the right choice in Rev. Culmer. She is nice, easy going, listens to feedback, and just wonderful. We worked with her to really personalize our ceremony, right up to days before our wedding. She is an eloquent speaker, very professional, and a joy to work with. After the wedding, we got many, many compliments on the wonderful ceremony she performed. I would highly recommend Rev. Culmer!

Highly Recommend Rev. Terumi Culmer!

We cannot speak highly enough of Rev. Terumi Culmer! My husband and I interviewed several officiants, none of which really felt right until we met Terumi via Skype. Terumi exudes kindness and warmth. We instantly felt comfortable chatting with her about things that seemed daunting at the early wedding planning stages, like what we envisioned for the ceremony. As we continued to work with Terumi through her four pre-marital coaching sessions prior to the wedding, we appreciated that she took time to get to know us and stimulate productive conversations on how to build a strong foundation from the very start of our marriage. She is incredibly organized – each of her coaching sessions have a theme, accompanied by PowerPoint slides and interactive activities. Beyond these incredible and, frankly, life-changing coaching sessions, she was an outstanding officiant. Terumi made our ceremony incredibly special and personalized. The ceremony was so powerful that many of our guests approached us afterwards to tell us how moved they were by her words during the ceremony.

Working with Rev. Culmer was a real pleasure. She took the time to get to know me and my fiance. Rev. Culmer was an absolute joy to work with. She is more than just an officiant; she is a coach, a teacher and a nurturer of life long loving relationships. From our pre-marital class up to the day of our ceremony she made the journey to oneness fun and easy. The pre-marital class was optional but I’ll tell you it’s a must! The exercises and teachings support unity, love and support a life-long connect to your marriage. The connection with Rev. Culmer is not a one-time affair. It’s an ongoing relationship supported by the teachings of oneness!

Terumi was absolutely incredible. From the time I went to her house to meet her through the end of the wedding day, she maintained the utmost professionalism and made the experience stress-free and special! She was so warm and welcoming upon our initial meeting that I was ready to hire her without even responding to the other inquiries I had sent to local officiants. I planned our wedding from San Diego, CA and it was incredibly important I had vendors who were flexible and could meet me when I was in town. Terumi did just that- meeting with me way earlier than normal to go over our ceremony. The rest of our correspondence was via e-mail and phone and her response time was ALWAYS very fast. She wrote a beautiful and special ceremony that not only matched the tone of the wedding I wanted but was better than I could have imagined. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her and her services to all of my family and friends! Thank you again for helping to make our day very special!

We cannot say enough about our premarital counseling sessions with Terumi. We live out of state and she went above and beyond to make our experience special via Skype sessions. She was flexible with our busy schedules and we enjoyed each minute working with Terumi. It was a huge plus that she got to know each of us individually and as a whole before our big day. My husband and I were looking for someone to do our wedding ceremony and what we got was so much more. We ended up doing 4 private premarital sessions in addition to the ceremony. We learned so much about ourselves and how we communicate from the other person's perspective. The classes were excellent. The sessions are held at the home of the Reverend so we had a chance to meet her family and see their dynamic. The atmosphere was so inviting and felt like we were visiting old friends. We enjoyed them so much, we invited her husband to attend our wedding. This is my first marriage and the session with Rev. Terumi made me feel so much more comfortable. The sessions were not always pretty but everything we went through was necessary and Terumi always had a way of turning a negative into a positive. I would highly recommend her.

Rev. Terumi Culmer was the absolute perfect fit to officiate our wedding. She was very responsive (before, during, and after the wedding) and really wanted to get to know us. She worked with us to create the perfect ceremony that reflects who my husband and I truly are. She crafted the perfect ceremony content and her kindhearted nature was apparent to all. We wanted a traditional-ish ceremony with some fun thrown in and she absolutely delivered! She developed a one of a kind wine unity ceremony for us and had the idea that each of us share five things with her that say why we love each other, to be read for the first time during the ceremony. After hearing the 5 reasons written by my normally stoic husband, I absolutely agree with her suggestion; what a special day. The ceremony was the best part of my beyond expectations perfect day. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

We decided to have our intimate small ceremony in the Zen Garden with Rev. Culmer and it was the best decision ever! Not only was the reverend great at adding in the details we wanted and the style of service we wanted but she was so accommodating to our group of family and friends. The Garden was so beautiful. The website doesn’t do it any justice. It was modestly decorated with the natural greenery being the focus point. It was so wonderful to just show up and be married without all the hassles and details of a large church/hall ceremony. We would definitely recommend using her as an officiant and even using the Zen Garden as your small wedding location. We are so glad we chose this option over the impersonal courthouse ceremony.

Reverend Culmer married my fiance and I on 6/2/2017 in the Beautiful Zen Garden. First! let me point out the Zen Garden is gorgeous! The pictures on the Sacred Marriage website do not do justice. The garden was way more beautiful than I expected, it was very green and lush and earthy all together! Beautiful tall trees all around, you almost feel connected with the earth as your are saying your vows! My fiance and I decided to elope because we wanted a true intimate ceremony where we could be truly ourselves and not worry about putting on a "show". Sacred Marriage offered a full traditional wedding ceremony for our elopement. It was about 20-25 minutes long we were able to say our short personal vows to each other and incorporate the three cord strand. The ceremony services exceeded my expectations, Revered Culmer performed an outstanding and beautiful ceremony for us, she did not rush at all and was very personable and friendly. She was also very flexible when we had a date change and was very communicative and responsive the entire time. We loved the ceremony style she performed, it was very organic and a little outside the "script" which we LOVED! We asked for a Christian based ceremony and she delivered beyond our expectations! When we arrived there was little freebies we were not expecting, a chalk board with "Carlos & Rosie Wedding" written in cursive at the entrance which added a fun touch. The wedding "arch" where we stood was also very tastefully decorated with magnolia flowers and lit candles along the aisle where I walked down. Yes! we eloped but I was still able to walk down the aisle and have my fiance see me in my wedding dress for the first time, it was very special! I would not change anything about our ceremony with Reverend Culmer and the Zen Garden, it exceeded our expectations and we would do it all over again the same exact way if we had to. If you're looking for a wedding officiant to make your big day special, book now you will not regret it!

My fiance and I have hired Terumi as our officiant and premarital coach, and we are truly looking forward to our wedding day with her. Since we had both been married before, we agreed that taking this class would be helpful in build a solid foundation for our future together. I can truly say that the class exceeded our expectations. Terumi was THE BEST! We first met her online and she was very responsive and returns emails/calls back within a few hours. We started out with her premarital counseling sessions to help us build a foundation for our marriage. She came to our home to finalize our ceremony and completed several drafts to ensure it was the ceremony of our dreams. She even stayed throughout the reception and wished us well. I don't know where to begin! We met Terumi at the Wedding Showcase hosted at Historic Oakland. She was very welcoming from the beginning. My husband (then fiance) felt very comfortable with her! We attended a group marriage counseling session with a few other couples. It was held at her home, she made us feel very comfortable! It was so encouraging and uplifting! It provided us with essential knowledge and tools to sustain a life long commitment! If that isn't enough, she then walked us through our small intimate ceremony, being held on her property (Zen Garden) STEP by STEP! She was genuinely excited for union and wanted it to extra special! Everything we wanted, she made happen! Although it rained on our wedding day, she made sure no damper was on our ceremony! She called to check on me several times and even tried to delay the start hoping the rain would stop! I'm sure I missed something but I cannot say enough about Terumi! A Sacred Marriage premarital session with Rev. Culmer was informative, enlightening, and equally important, of practical use.

Upon arriving for the session we were met by Rev. Culmer with a smile and warm greeting on a cold early Sunday morning. Upon entering we were asked to remove our shoes (clean socks/ fresh feet needed), offered tea. The area where the session was held was nice and cozy which created an intimate environment for couples. Our session was scheduled for 3 hours (we stayed 4hrs) and we were served a tasty turkey sub on wheat bread (soft bread).

The session itself focused on exploring all aspects of a marriage starting with fleshing out your ideas and expectations of marriage then moving on to discussing ways work, finances, friends and family impact (positive and negative) a marriage. This paved the way to exploring the "Four Spiritual Love Principles," with the principles being rooted in a foundation of marriage as Unity. When a couple embodies and practices these principles in relation to living "United" in marriage, then we give ourselves a better chance (not a guarantee) that our marriage will last forever. This forever being carried on in our children who are learning about marriage from watching us, and family and friends who seek our marital advice.
There also were interactive moments where we were asked to share and expound upon specific things and this gave my fiancee' and I a chance to learn more in depth about each other’s thoughts and feelings. Doing these exercises truly allowed us to focus on each other in many ways that the "busyness" (a lesson from the session) of our lives does not always allow (or we choose to allow to interfere). There is a Christian based theme to the session, but nothing overbearing or dogmatic (speaking as a spiritual not religious person) I was quite comfortable throughout the session. Rev. Culmer definitely does all she can to engender in couples that A Sacred Marriage is possible.

Reverend Terumi Culmer is absolutely amazing, from the first time I emailed her until the day of our ceremony. We met with her one evening, and just from the little bit of information she received from us that night she turned it into a beautiful "short and sweet" ceremony just as we wanted. She absolutely made our ceremony unforgettable! Anytime I needed to speak to her, I sent one email and within hours she responded. I am so thankful I found her and was able to have her apart of our day. I will forever recommend all of my family and friends to her!

She is so amazing. I love that she in corporated our reasons why we want to be together in our ceremony. She is so professional and down to earth. My husband and I just absolutely loved working with her. And all our guest cant stop talking about how beautiful the ceremony was. I dont think anyone had dry eyes.

Rev. Terumi is an excellent officiant. She was reliable, flexible, and professional. She is very sweet and kind because she worked with our tight budget. From our first meeting to the day of the wedding, she was calm and professional. She worked with us on creating a custom interfaith ceremony, and accommodated all of our needs. She made herself available for the rehearsal and responded to all of our emails. Overall she was amazing.

As soon as I began participating in Terumi's sessions on the Four Spiritual Love Principles, I was able to "see" how loving my future husband really is. Her guided sessions allowed us to open up to each other and hear what had not yet been given a voice. We were able to explore and express the love and care we have for each other on a deeper level. This new level of "knowing" Walter helped me relax into the relationship and trust our deepening committment. We are so excited to have Terumi perform our wedding ceremony, in less than two months! I wanted nothing less than a sacred partnership in this lifetime and Terumi's commitment to bringing this teaching to couples truly deepened our experience of unity.

Rev Terumi was our officiant, but also helped us as a marriage counselor. She is exactly what we needed to help provide us the fundamental guidelines to what it means to be happily married. It's easy for some to continue just "being together" but it really means something different, something more, to be married. She helped us in a time of need and we truly appreciate her wisedom.

Reverend Culmer provided us exceptional service from our first conversation through the actual ceremony. She responded very quickly to our inquiry and we were very impressed with her compassion and ability to connect with us during our first meeting. Reverend Culmer took the time to assist us in determining what type of ceremony would be a good fit for us as well as provided several options. She listened intently and successfully customized the perfect ceremony for us. She was resourceful and very flexible in accommodating our wishes. She stayed in contact with us throughout the preparation and performed a flawless ceremony. The service she officiated was professional yet eloquent and intimate. It was simply beautiful. We received numerous complements regarding the content of the ceremony and several of our guest stated it was the most beautifully officiated ceremony they had ever attended. They especially enjoyed the portion of the ceremony where Reverend Culmer addressed love and intimacy in marriage. A few asked if they could have a printed copy of the ceremony! We highly and wholeheartedly recommend Reverend Culmer. Her presence contributed to making our day that much more special.

This was an amazing experience. We didn't think we would get so much out of the per-marital session and both walked out completely confident about moving forward and what it takes for a successful marriage. My fiancé and I recently participated in a premarital session with Reverend Terumi Culmer and found it to be an extremely valuable and enlightening experience. We not only learned the true and complete definition of marriage and the elements involved in sustaining a lasting marriage, but were able to partake in couples questions/activities that let us honestly share and evaluate our relationship, which I feel actually brought us even closer together. Our premarital session assured us that we are on the right path to a loving lifelong commitment with each other, and has created a new relationship and support system with Reverend Culmer that we hope will last for years to come.

Rev. Culmer will be officiating our wedding in a couple of weeks and we are very excited and relieved that she will be guiding us as we start our married lives together. Upon first meeting her, she was very warm and welcoming. My fiancé felt comfortable with her immediately and didn't not want to look any further. We had to reschedule our pre-marital session a couple of times due to work and she was very accommodating without any hassle. We were nervous going into the premarital session but found it to be very informative and reassuring. I would definitely recommend a premarital session and Rev. Culmer to any couples that are ready to wed.

Rev. Terumi will be the officiant at our wedding in the fall. My fiance and I met with her to discuss the ceremony and for pre-marital counseling, and she was warm, attentive, and accommodating. She was very interested in tailoring the ceremony to our needs, and her counseling session helped us to see what we should improve on and what we should continue doing in our relationship. This was a great session! I had a lot to take away from the meaning of love and what it means to be in a loving relationship. I took Rev. Terumi Culmer's pre-marital counseling course with my fiance and could not be happier with how it went. First of all, Rev. Terumi was extremely accommodating, conducting the session at he lovely home on a Saturday morning when we could be available. The meeting space for the session was comfortable and drinks and a light lunch were provided, which was appreciated!

The content of the three-hour course was excellent, teaching us the most important components that make up the unique and rewarding marriage relationship. We had plenty of time to discuss how the principles covered fit into our own relationship, both where we are doing great and where we could improve to build a marriage that lasts. I truly think that this is a worthwhile service.

In only one session, you will learn a great deal that you may already feel intuitively, but being able to express it clearly will help build the foundation for a solid, loving marriage.

I would recommend A Sacred Marriage to anyone thinking of getting married or looking to approach their marriage more thoughtfully.

Our experience with Reverend Terumi Culmer was very good beginning with finding a time to meet and the time she spent getting to know us. We believe she captured our desires for our wedding ceremony and we're very pleased with how she officiated our ceremony. Reverend Culmer is warm, a good listener and truly desires to help couples begin their lives both legally, but moreso, spiritually. Many of our guests commented on the ceremony and thought it was beautifully delivered. And having nothing to do with Reverend Culmer professionally - two guests wanted to find her to compliment her on her outfit (and find out where she got her jacket!). I had to add this last part since so many of our guests commented about Terumi! We highly recommend Reverend Culmer.

I recently attended Rev. Culmers " The Foundation to a Sacred Marriage" Class, and I was blown away. I took from it so much information for growth. The Love Principles was my favorite and helped me to learn myself as well as another in order to have a strong relationship with a life partner. And not to mention the importance for the strong foundation within myself In order to build and receive another. I've learned to be selfless and love my partner for all they are and all they are not. In this it will strengthen myself to focus on the here and the now and to live in the moment. I attended this class unmarried and open for the keys to building and keeping a sacred marriage. I would highly recommend this class to single and already married couples because it appeals to both audiences. It was really nice to hear true testimonies from other people whom attended the class as well as Rev. Culmer and Her Husband! The Power Point Lesson hit close to home and was very clear and easy to follow.

Rev. Terumi Culmer was the officiant at my wedding and after one phone conversation with her I knew that I wanted her to officiate my wedding. She was very sweet, funny and easy to talk to. She was very professional and well prepared for the ceremony. Many people said that she brought up a lot of good points on love and marriage and that the ceremony as a whole was beautifully done. She's also does work as a marriage counselor which I think also played a special part of the delivered message in the ceremony. Bottom line, she is awesome!
