We wanted something to match our woodlands themed wedding and the staff here delivered!! On top of that, they were able to make it vegan. I know from experience how challenging that can be without the cake crumbling into pieces. Definitely one of the highlights of our wedding night- everyone was raving about it!

They Sherwood Get Married
Working with Leo & A Little Cake staff was very easy! They have a wide selection of flavors & each one was perfect! We wound up going with yellow cake, Oreo filling & buttercream frosting. Everyone could not stop eating it, the cake was moist & fresh the whole evening! Their decorative touch was excellent! I highly recommend them!

We picked this bakery because of their awesome reviews and very up to date Instagram. They did not disappoint!! We got a cake for my wedding and my brothers 21st bday on the same day. Both cakes were so good that people are STILL asking me where we got the cake from and telling me how good our wedding cake was. Our wedding was on 10.9.22. Both cakes were delivered on time & looked amazing. I love this bakery so much I want to use them for every special occasion from now on. They also made our wedding cake tasting so easy, they brought out little slices of all their most popular flavors & icings and said we can mix and match any that we like. Our cake from A Little Cake was included in our wedding package at Paramount Country Club. A Little Cake hosted us for a delicious tasting, where we went with a semi-naked lemon cake with raspberry jam. Neither my husband nor I are big fans of cake, but the cakes at A Little Cake changed our minds! They are flavorful and not overly sweet. The process of selecting the cake and the delivery were both seamless. We are so glad that they were the ones to make our beautiful cake!

A Little Cake was the recommended vendor for our venue, and for good reason! Their work (both wedding cakes and other baked goods) is insane—creative and tasty! Everyone we worked with was super friendly and patient with us as we changed our overall cake design a couple of times. We ended up doing a simpler cake—our florist added fresh flowers to the cake—with a hand-drawn floral design, white fondant, and alternating tiers of chocolate/vanilla cake with fresh strawberries in chocolate ganache. It was beautiful and elegant and it worked perfectly with our overall wedding décor and flowers. Also, make sure to try their other baked goods. We stocked up after our cake tasting and it gives you a great idea of how talented this bakery is!

A Little Cake was so easy to work with for our wedding day. They easily scheduled us for a tasting, the cakes were all so delicious. They had a gallery of different options for cakes and were flexible for customizations on the cake. The day of the wedding they delivered the cake with no problems, they forgot to add in our strawberries in the cake however they were so great about resolving the issue and issued us a refund for the strawberries as well as a top tier cake for our anniversary. Absolutely great company and highly recommend them for any occasion!

We got married at the Rockleigh Country Club who works directly with A Little Cake Bakery. We were able to sample plenty of flavors during our cake tasting. The owner was very helpful and gave us a large selection of cake designs to choose from. We decided on a 3 tier red velvet with creme cheese and a bavarian creme with Oreo. The cake was delicious and decorated exactly how we wanted. My wife and I were very pleased.

OMG GUYS, A Little Cake will be the best cake you will ever eat in your life. I feel like I gain 500 pounds just by following them on Instagram. Our cake was 4 layers with alternating vanilla funfetti and chocolate cake layers with oreo cookie filling and buttercream icing. They provide a complimentary cake tasting at their bakery and no joke give you about 6 full slices of cake to try! We sent them our inspiration picture and they replicated it exactly. So our wedding cake was included in the package from our venue. We had the choice of 2 bakeries and got to sample both. The right answer is hands down A Little Cake regardless of the competitor. This cake actually tastes really really good. It’s not dry like most wedding cake and it doesn’t have that weird grainy buttercream frosting. I had my own cupcake business so I’m a bit of a cake snob. So trust me when I say this is good wedding cake. It tasted good and it looked pretty too! They have a lot of different wedding cake designs to choose from. So, traditionally you’re supposed to freeze the top layer and eat it on your anniversary. No one I know wants to eat year old cake so we’re going to cut into it early when we view our wedding video and I plan to get a smaller replica of our wedding cake to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Honestly I just can wait a whole year to have more of this cake.

Nothing but great things to say about A Little Cake. They are the bakery that our wedding venue (The Rockleigh) uses for their wedding cakes (upcharge for certain designs, flavors, fillings, etc.). We went to the bakery to do our cake tasting and to discuss design. The overall atmosphere and aesthetic of the bakery immediately put my mind at ease. You can tell this place takes great pride in everything that comes from there and it is incredibly clean (no fear of bugs or dirty work spaces). Every tasting they offered was amazing; each cake and filling. As far as design for our wedding cake was concerned, I had a picture of the cake we wanted and they replicated it beyond perfectly! Also to note, I had them make my husband a Johnny Walker Blue Label cake for a grooms cake. We were so so so incredibly impressed!! Our family and guests raved about the design and the cake itself also. Everyone was so impressed with how moist and tasty it truly was compared to most wedding cakes they’ve ever had. We booked a last minute cake tasting and design of our wedding cake with less than 2-weeks before our big day and the process was so smooth (and tasty!) The tasting gave us all the possibilities of flavors and we found it challenging to decide because everything was great! When we presented a cake design that we found online, they reassured us that they could easily create it and they did not disappoint! Our wedding cake looked just like we had imagined and we cannot thank A Little Cake enough for helping make our big day such a success!

A Little Cake was included as part of the package with our venue and they did not disappoint! There were so many flavors and designs to choose from as part of our package and everything that was extra was communicated to us clearly. At the tasting, we ended up loving three flavors and they said they’d be able to put them all in one layer so that our guests would get all of them no problem. People are still raving to us about our cake six weeks later – some have even gone to the bakery to get a replica of our cake for themselves! I have a feeling this cake will be our plus one to many future gatherings and we could not be more pleased. Highly highly recommend!

Leo and his team at A Little Cake were super accommodating and made picking out a wedding cake a breeze. They have the cake tasting appointment down to a science, showed us pictures of examples of cakes and designs they've done, and had just the right amount of every flavor and combo of cake they provide. Given the cake was part of my package with my venue, Leo explained exactly what was included, and what additional things would be an extra charge. He was helpful, friendly, and really easy to work with. On the big day, our cannoli filling cake was a HUGE hit and it looked beautiful too!

Simple and delicious!
Our venue included some cost for our cake so it made it easy that we didn’t have to go looking for a place but had we gone looking and came across a little cake? I would have been ecstatic. We wanted simple, a naked cake- preferably cannoli! And I really wanted to add flowers that resembled the magic flower in Tangled.. we paid extra for sugar flowers and I couldn’t be happier that we did. It was PERFECT. The tasting was also great, easy and so yummy :)

A Little Cake is the bakery used by our venue. Everything was very easy with them which is very important during the busy wedding planning. We called and scheduled our tasting with no issues and we had a great time with Leo while we were there. They did a wonderful job with our cake and it was absolutely delicious. We were referred to A Little Cake by our venue and we were pleasantly surprised by how easy the whole process was. Unlike our experience with another well-known, north Jersey bakery, Leo and his team were absolute pleasures to work with! The whole process was so easy and it was so refreshing to have a discussion with someone who wasn’t trying to push you into something or force you to commit when you weren’t ready. Our cake was gorgeous and absolutely delicious – we made sure to take the time to eat our wedding cake at the reception. Whether it’s crumb cake or a wedding cake, A Little Cake does it and does it well! You will not be disappointed!

They blew our breath away from initial contact (my sis & I visited the bakery without an appointment, they sat us down, walked us through our vision & gave us a cake tasting!) right down to the final product. I can't express how amazing our wedding cake and groom's cake were! John was a pleasure to work with and made our wedding cake vision come to life. He also helped me to design a surprise groom's cake for my husband and the work they did was beyond incredible. People could not stop commenting on both cakes all night long. They both looked incredible and the taste was phenomenal. Our wedding cake was yellow cake with bavarian cream and the groom's cake was yellow cake with oreo filling. I can't express enough how amazing this bakery was to work with and how wonderful of a job they did with bringing our vision to life. All while making everything taste out of this world!! Our expectations were beyond exceeded and I can't express our gratitude enough!

We worked with John about 3 months before our wedding. He was great to work with and made everything so easy! He was a recommended vendor of our venue, which was great! We were unsure of what to choose after the tasting because everything was so delicious! He recommended both Oreo and chocolate mousse fillings with vanilla cake and buttercream frosting - amazing!!! Our guests were raving about how delicious our cake was. My husband and I can't wait to eat it again next year! I would definitely recommend ordering with John and A Little Cake!

A Little Cake did a FANTASTIC job on our wedding cake! When we first went in to do the cake tasting we couldn't officially decide what we wanted. After speaking to Leo we decided to go lighter flavor-wise since we were having additional desserts and it was such a good decision. Not only were people complimenting the cake itself but how it looked!
I gave them a picture of what I wanted and they did a fabulous job of re-creating it all while making it something truly unique to me! You will never regret having them be the ones in charge of something important!

Upon first meeting with them, we felt very comfortable with the team. They made us feel welcome, which is nice because some bakeries just try to get you in and out when it comes to tastings. After having to cancel our destination wedding and planning an at-home wedding in just three weeks, we contacted A Little Cake in a panic. Vanessa was so nice and assured me I had nothing to worry about. They delivered a BEAUTIFUL cake that left me, as a bride, in awe. Not only was it beautiful, but it was also delicious. The cake was delicious! I didn't have a viennese hour at our wedding and was relying on the cake itself being great. We ordered a cake with alternating white and red velvet layers that had Bavarian cream filling and fresh strawberries and bananas in the cream filling. The top tier I requested to me gluten free and it had chocolate cake with Bavarian cream and walnuts. It was delicious and several people commented on how good it was. Wedding cakes can be a bit dry sometimes, I tried many this year, but our cake from A Little Cake was nice and moist.
It was pretty simple, I had a cake tasting, made my decision about the flavors and design, and several months later I had my cake:)

My husband and I had such a pleasant experience visiting this shop for a tasting & consultation -- super friendly folks, and very delicious cakes! Our cannoli-filled vanilla wedding cake was the bomb! And all we did for the decorating was refer to some of their portfolio photos we liked, specified colors, and showed them what our cake topper and invitations looked like so they could try to match some of the details -- and it came out fabulous! Everything went smoothly day-of. Seems like a great team running the shop. Highly recommend!

The cake for my wedding shower was from A Little Cake and my guests RAVED about it. I decided to also use them for my rehearsal dinner. I called four days before the event and the woman I spoke to on the phone was so accommodating. She talked me through every step of ordering and told me there would be no problem having it done. My husband picked it up and it was PERFECT. The theme was great and the quality of cake was amazing. The flavors are rich and I will continue to use them for events. Not to mention, every person we have dealt with has been helpful and friendly.

I planned a NJ wedding for my daughter from KY! From the informative phone calls to the tasting to the actual wedding cake, we could not be more impressed with A Little Cake. The people we worked with were informative and helpful. The cakes were out of this world. Everyone commented on how much they loved the wedding cake. We chose two or three different flavors for the actual wedding cake and all of them were absolutely delicious. The cake itself was elegant. When we told the baker what the wedding colors were (he asked) he suggested using gold dots on the cake even though picture we were looking at had white dots. That suggestion could not have been more perfect! We had a bridal luncheon for my daughter the day before the wedding that had a theme of yellow butterflies. I called A Little Cake and told them the theme and asked if they could provide cupcakes for the occasion. They made beautiful cupcakes in three flavors, frosted in pale pink frosting with three dimensional yellow butterflies on the top of them. They were just gorgeous!! It was the "frosting on

Our vendor gave us three options of bakeries and we are so glad we chose A Little Cake! To be honest, we called one of the other bakeries first because of friend of ours had used them and the person who I spoke to was so unbelievably rude we did not even go visit them. The next place I called was A Little Cake and from that point on we knew we made the right decision. Everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly and our cake was out of this world!!! We had our wedding at SkyView Golf Club and the venue uses A Little Cake as their wedding cake baker. We scheduled a tasting a few months before the wedding. The bakery was very responsive via email and we had no problem getting an appointment. There were a lot of options and we ultimately decided to go with a combination cake with oreo and cappuccino fillings. Both fillings were delicious! Although I did not have any cake at our wedding (it was way too busy!), our guests said it was very good. The cake looked beautiful!

A Little Cake cake's are delicious and beautiful. My husband and I wedding venue suggested A Little Cake. We went to A Little Cake for a cake tasting. They let us taste all these delicious slices (flavors and icings) of cakes and view examples of previous cakes and we’re flexible in picking tasting time and details. We showed the owner Leo and artist Vanessa a picture from pinterest, let them know what slice (flavors and icings) we selected, and discussed guest count, size of cake, cost etc… I was a little concerned that we we’re asking for a cake that wasn’t something they do every day or was in client example books, only because I didn’t see an exact example of in their books. I didn’t see the final product until the day of the wedding through the reception doors. I was shocked and delighted and literally smiling with glee. It looked like it came right off the page, picture perfect, and was exactly as requested and as in pinterest image. It isn’t often that people you work with surpass your expectations, but the cake was beautiful and delicious. Our guest complimented their work the day of and after. We couldn’t ask for much more. I would work with them again and recommend them to others.

The cake tasting was probably my favorite part of the whole wedding planning process. Everything I tasted was outstanding and the cake did not disappoint on my actual wedding day. I highly recommend A Little Cake!

We had my daughter and new son in laws wedding at the Knoll in Parsippany. Our cake was from A Little Cake. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious. They listened to every detail my daughter wanted, and never minded when she changed her mind on things she wanted. She choose the red velvet cake, AMAZING!! Everyone loved it!!

The most beautiful buttercream cake to look like fondant!! And the most delicious cake, too! Even at our 1 year anniversary! They created exactly what I had envisioned and it was perfect! Highly recommended!

I had my wedding at naninas in the park last night and my cake was a white cake with cannoli filling and buttercream icing. It was UNBELIEVABLE! The BEST cake I have even had and I have eaten a lot of cake. The cake was so fresh and moist you could tell it was just made. The cannoli filling was the perfect combination with the buttercream icing. I was so impressed with this bakery and the time they put into my wedding cake. The design and detail of the cake was EXACTLY like the picture I originally picked. Talk about talent! From the cake tasting in the very beginning and the numerous choices of wedding cakes I had to choose from, to the finished product it was a fantastic experience. I live almost two and half hours away from the bakery and will drive the distance to order future cakes. Thank you for making my wedding cake so delicious.

A cake from A Little Cake was included from our vendor, so we didn't really shop around. That having been said, we were pleased that the bakery was ready for us when we arrived for our tasting. Everything was delicious, which is saying something coming from someone who isn't a big cake fan!
My fiance ended up convincing me to spend the $45 to upgrade our cake filling to cannoli filling with chocolate chips, which our guests loved!
Overall, we were very happy with our cake.

Often times people say that the cake is beautiful but did not taste that great...not here!! Our cake was perfect...so much so that my husband took extra bites during the cake cutting ceremony! Highly recommended!

All I can say is that my husband wanted dead pool to come out of the back of the cake, and they made it happen, but it still looked like a traditional wedding cake in the front. Amazing! They are truly a talented team of bakers! I'm still getting compliments on how good it tasted!

Delicious! A Little Cake was one of the bakeries recommended to me by my venue and I couldn't have been happier. My husband and I went to have a tasting and everyone there was helpful and a joy to work with. We couldn't decide which cake to go with because they all were soooo good! We ended up with the oreo cookie filling with vanilla cake and so glad we did. Everyone raved about the cake on our wedding day--saying how beautiful and delicious it was. I was completely blown away when I saw the cake when I walked into our reception room. I would recommend them to anyone!

A Little Cake was one of the bakeries included in our venue package. We decided to go with them because they were highly recommended. We met with John for a tasting a couple months before the wedding and got to try 7 different flavors. They were all delicious but we decided to go with red velvet with cream cheese filling and chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. Then we got to pick our design by going through their huge online gallery of options. We were afraid that since our venue was paying for the cake we wouldn't have a big choice when it came to the design but there were actually many designs to choose from. On our wedding day our cake looked exactly like we wanted it to and tasted amazing. Many of our guests were raving about it so we know we made the best decision. We highly recommend A Little Cake!

The cake was to die for!! I had an issue with another bakery we shall remain nameless because their cake was plain sugar and not cake but here at A Little Cake I have to say it was one of the best cakes I had at trial and on my wedding day!
They gave me exactly what I was looking for. I had asked from the get-go to add less sugar (my husband is not a sweets person) and it wasn't and issue!! The design that I sent them was also no issue and on my wedding day when I saw the cake it looked exactly how is looked on the picture I had showed them. I loved my 4 tier cake. Highly recommend them and plan on using them for other parties!

Our wedding cake was SENSATIONAL! So much so, that after our initial tasting (which was a to-die for experience that I wish I could do over and over again!), my husband and I bought a 7 cubic feet freezer, in preparation for taking as much of the cake home as possible. They will make any combination of things you want. We got a funfetti cake with cannoli and cookies and cream frostings, something I doubt other bakeries would be willing to make such elaborate and crazy requests! The cakes, aesthetically, are also just showstopping.

We had a great experience with this bakery for our wedding cake services on our wedding day (September 6, 2015). We had a choice of this bakery and one other as our venue paid for a standard cake. We definitely made the right choice! We got an awesome cake tasting with really good help with the ideas that I had for the cake. My husband has a gluten allergy and they were extremely accommodating at no extra cost. He even got to do a taste test! They made a beautiful cake, exactly what I has envisioned, with the top layer gluten free so my husband could enjoy as well. We paid extra for some floral details which was well worth it. Highly recommend for weddings!

We booked A Little Cake through the recommendation of our venue and I could not have been happier with our decision! Not only did the cake come out absolutely beautiful but it was so delicious! We had a meeting with John to taste samples and he was so easy going and 100% got our vision for our wedding cake. Since it was something we kind of dreamed up I had been nervous perhaps it wouldn't execute the same as in my head but I was so wrong they exceeded my expectations!

I learned about Le Petit Gateau here on Wedding Wire and after reading the great reviews, we decided to book our tasting. MMMM MMMM MMM... all of the cakes we tried were so delish! It was hard to choose, but in the end we went with a vanilla cake with bavarian cream and fresh raspberries and strawberries. I got a beautiful custom 5-tiered cake that our guests were blown away by with both the extremely elegant look as well as the amazingly delicious taste!! They were a pleasure to deal with, and extremely accommodating! We'll be going back to them for our future cakes for sure!

We booked A Little Cake as a part of our Venue Contract. Our Venue had two options for our Wedding Cake; however, after meeting with John and tasting how delicious their cakes were we knew we didnt have to try the other vendor. Our wedding cake came out absolutely beautiful with cascading flowers and rhinestones- absolutely breathtaking not to mention delicious. I hope the cake topper stays until our one year anniversary or else ill have to go back to A Little Cake and pick up another Red Velvet cake! we will defintiely visit A Little Cake for more special occasions! Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding the most beautiful and perfect ever!
