Amber Sent on 11/09/2012We had Janice as our Rev. and we are so happy that we chose A Joyful Celebration to officiate at our wedding. We met and spoke to Janice (and Sherry) quite a bit before our wedding. She really made us feel comfortable that the ceremony would turn out great, and it did! It wasn't boring or generic, it was things that we picked out and more about the two of us. I highly reccomend them!

Andrew Sent on 07/23/2013In 2013, you would think it would be easier to find a secular wedding officiant besides a justice of the peace, but it ended up being a big challenge for us. After receiving a professional recommendation we contacted Sherry and we knew right away we finally found what we were looking for.
Our first face-to-face meeting made it clear we were not going to get some cookie-cutter ceremony. Rev. Sherry was not available to officiate our ceremony herself, but Rev. Reavis Graham (or Rev. Rev as we called him) was available and did a fantastic job performing the ceremony Sherry had written for us. Sherry made a great effort to make sure every part of our ceremony fit our personalities and we were comfortable with everything being said.
We got a lot of compliments from our guests that our ceremony was unlike anything they had seen before and "everything said was important." If you're looking for a non-religious or just non-traditional ceremony that is still professional and touching, you can't go wrong with Rev. Sherry and Reavis. -

Sarah Sent on 05/10/2013James & I were married by Rev. Sherry just this past Saturday, and we're still overwhelmed and humbled by the touching ceremony she wrote for us. From our first email exchange just over a year ago, I knew that she "got me", as hard as that can be at times! She wrote back to all of my inquiries with such thoughtful and complete replies, taking the time to write several paragraphs even. After meeting her in person, James said he loved her, as did I, and we were sold. During the year of planning and getting to know each other, we became Facebook friends and I sent her email after email - questions, thoughts, quotes, readings, worries. She responded to each email within a matter of hours, and always with kind, loving, calming and reassuring words. She took the time to get to know each of us, and that meant so much to us.
Sherry wrote us such a beautiful, thoughtful and genuine ceremony. She completely personalized it to us, and worked with us both together and individually to get every single word just right. I am so, so glad that we chose her. She was worth every penny, and I can't imagine anyone else marrying us. After our ceremony and at the reception, we had dozens of people tell us how beautiful & moving the ceremony was, ask how we'd found her or if we'd known her for years already. An older couple commented that they've been married for over 30 years now, and all the words she wrote, along with all the quotes and readings, made them feel renewed in their marriage. That they were reminded just why it is they chose each other, and are continuing to love each other now, over 30 years later. Everyone cried, and it was mostly men who told us that! I can't express my thanks enough. We love Sherry!
