Lauren and Michael are amazing!

Lauren and Michael are amazing! We did our engagement shoot with Lauren, who arrived early to scope out spots at our location and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. Same thing for the wedding day, and Michael was the second shooter. We got great group shots and a mix of really unique couples photos. Michael even stayed till the end of our reception on the spot! We loved working with both of them - lovely people - and best of all, the photos are wonderful!

Creative Photos + Great Team

Lauren and Michael are extremely creative and talented, they found the most gorgeous spots for photos, different than all other photos from the venue I had seen! They were amazing to work with, super nice, always on and photographing, and they took my direction so well! We got every photo on my extensive list and THEN some! They were truly a pleasure to have around on my wedding day. If you want creative gorgeous photos, I highly recommend them!

I haven't gotten my proofs back, but posting one picture with the incredible background they chose!

Professional, Lovely People

It was a pleasure to have Michael and Lauren there as our wedding photographers. Your wedding day is stressful enough and all you want is to surround yourself with people who are there to support you and A Guy and A Girl were exactly that. They were professional, kind, easy to chat with, but also blended in when the party started so you don't feel like someone is always in your face. They were receptive to requests, but also able to get creative and grab unique shots. You have so many emotions on your wedding day and they were genuinely great people to be there with you to capture it all. I can't recommend them enough!

We explored several photography companies and were by far the most impressed with A Guy and A Girl Photography. Talented, Responsive, and Professional

We loved working with Lauren and Michael for our engagement shoot and wedding photos! So many of our friends have complaints about their wedding photographers, but we couldn't have been happier with a guy + a girl! They were creative and came up with interesting shots while also making us feel super comfortable in front of the camera. They were extremely responsive, very professional, and willing to do whatever was needed to get us the photos we wanted. For both shoots, they showed up early to scope out the area which really helped us maximize our time. We are SO happy with how our photos came out, and can't believe how quickly they were able to turnaround so many great photos in such a short time (over 1800 edited photos in a little over 2 months).

I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough! Finding her was a bit of a Goldilocks story. We first met her when she was setting up to shoot at a venue we were touring. I kept her business card and after speaking with two other photographers that felt "not right" - one had photographs that were washed out looking (over-saturated) and the other brightened the colors during editing to the point where they did not seem real - we reached out to Lauren. Lauren - who is an utter delight to work with - produces photographs that truly capture the moment. In our case she captured a perfect Hudson Valley day, how it felt for us and for guests and how it looked. The photographs are magical and perfect without the viewer knowing they've been tinkered with. She was the consummate professional, showed up extra-early, made everyone feel very much at ease, and worked seamlessly with her second shooter. In the end, she gave us even more photos than we were promised (nearly 1800!). While I am still delinquent in doing anything with them, my husband and I will treasure them forever. (On that note, even though they are called "a guy + a girl" she was super great at handling a gay couple!). I could go on and on...the point is, you will never regret this decision. Lauren and Michael both shot my outdoor wedding in a bedford, NY and they did an amazing job documenting the day! All of the photos are absolutely stunning. Many friends and family have commented on them and how well they captured every part and person throughout the whole process of the day. Lauren and Michael are both just lovely people and so fun to be around. We had a blast with them at our engagement shoot as well. I feel so lucky to have had them BOTH there, I will treasure their photos forever!

I've worked in the wedding and event industry for over 20 years, and I know a lot of photographers - which made it difficult to choose who I wanted to hire for my son's bar mitzvah. I met Lauren and Michael at an industry event, and I liked them right away! What's more, after listening to them talk about their experience, I felt like the would be great technical photographers. Since this bar mitzvah would be a challenge to shoot - it was going to be dark and involve a lot of blue lighting - I wanted to make sure to hire a team who really knew their stuff!

Lauren and Michael are awesome! First of all, they've got amazing energy and are simply lovely to be around. They were generous with their time and passionate about doing whatever they could to get the right shot. But while I just knew they would get the party photos right, I was so happily blown away at the beautiful portraits they took of my son and our family! Ten thumbs way up!! We've got the most stunning family pictures to remind us of a great day in our lives. I can't recommend Lauren and Michael enough! Take it from someone who knows.

We did a family photo shoot with Lauren in NYC. Not only was Lauren patient and fun with our kids, but she was creative and professional too. We had a blast with her and the pictures are PHENOMENAL! She captured everyone's personalities perfectly and the relationships between all of us- and each picture is beautiful! Thank you Lauren for helping us preserve this special time in our lives and create lasting memories! We will be doing this every year from now on!

Michael and Lauren were our favorite wedding vendors! We loved working with them from start to finish. About a year before the wedding, Lauren photographed us for an engagement shoot. She made us feel comfortable and the finished product was amazing. Before our wedding day, she communicated with us about important photos and the vibe we were going for. On the day of our wedding, they showed up early which put me at ease as they looked around the venue for the best shots. They made us feel calm and beautiful all throughout the day. They got terrific shots without ever being in the way. We loved the end results! The photos were truly spectacular and working with the both them helped make our day so special. We will definitely use them for life milestone again!

Lauren and Michael were amazing. They were a ton of fun to work with and were always prompt and courteous. The photos were so, so awesome. We were hoping to have maybe 5-10 REALLY great photos from the whole night that were worth framing and we ended up with HUNDREDS (they gave us 1300 total and they were all great, we just don't want to frame a bunch of random cousins). Their style is great - vivid and bright but without anything exaggerated (I've seen friends' wedding photos where the photographer used an obnoxious lens flare on every photo - none of that here).

We paid a bit extra to hire both of them, which was definitely worth it. I know who took which photos (Michael took the guys getting ready and Lauren took the girls) and they're both pretty indistinguishable. They shoot the same style. I'd recommend doing this as well.

You really can't go wrong with these two - if you like the style of photography on their instagram/facebook/website then you'll be really glad you hired them.

Also we paid extra for all the high-res files on a flash drive (which you should probably do with any photographer), and they sent them in a really nice decorative box with a nice note. These guys are awesome.

Since getting engaged, my fiance and I have felt a ton of pressure to do things a certain way. We are not ones to buck tradition altogether, but many of the customs associated with engagements and weddings just don't suit us. Being bombarded with others' assumptions about what a wedding should look like, and who is supposed to play what role has been discouraging and exhausting. Lauren and Michael didn't let preconceived notions about what engagement shoots are supposed to be dictate how they photographed us. They just saw us for us and captured honest images of who we are as a couple. These images feel oddly private to me because they are such a true reflection of us. Needles to say, I love every last photo. You might call me an unconventional bride, but I'm just thrilled we found photographers who wanted what we wanted. thank you thank you thank you.

When I began looking for a photographer, I came across a photograph capturing a tear of happiness roll down the bride's face. I knew at that moment, that that was what I was looking for when it came to capturing one of the happiest days of my life. When I sat down to meet Lauren and Michael, I told them about the photograph and the look on Lauren's face was so reassuring- she knew exactly what I was looking for and promised that, as photographers, they were looking for the exact same thing. From that conversation on, Lauren and Michael were nothing short of exceptional. As someone with an extremely busy schedule and with wedding planning in addition, Lauren and Michael were completely understanding and more responsive than I could have ever imagined or expected with all of the questions (and inspiration) running through my mind. With both our engagement photos and wedding photos, Lauren and Michael have an ease with them that can't help but make you smile- truly making the experience of being in front of the camera that much easier. As I sit and look through all of the photographs that they captured, I am amazed by the range of photos and the moments captured- especially those I didn't even see that night- you, as a bride, tend to be so wrapped up in love and the experience that you can't possibly be a part of every moment but Lauren and Michael captured everything so I can now enjoy every moment with my husband. If you're looking for a photographer that will capture you both as individuals and a couple, who have a way of being everywhere at once so you can sit on the couch with your significant other a year later and love every memory, tear and smile captured in a photograph, you can't go wrong with A Guy & A Girl Photography.

Michael and Lauren made our wedding day SO MUCH fun! It was super important to us to have vendors who felt more like friends and family. AG+AG made us so comfortable in front of the camera and gave us photos that were BEYOND anything we expected. They knew exactly what we wanted and were hilarious the entire time. 10000% book an engagement shoot with them as it helps to make them part of your wedding day instead of "just shooting" your wedding day. Look NO further for your photogs!!

We thoroughly enjoyed working A Guy and A Girl Photography! My husband and I do not love taking photos, and were not into the "typical" dramatic wedding photographs. A Guy + A Girl listened to us and really got a sense of our wants and style. They picked out locations and positions that, not only made us feel comfortable, but really reflected us as a couple (Everyone you saw our engagement photos said that it looked so "us."). Shots reflect more of an "editorial" vibe, and that was one of the things I really liked about them. 100% recommend!

Lauren and Michael not only captured the look and feel of my wedding perfectly, they made the day extremely fun and laidback. The pictures captured all of the details that I wanted but had a focus on people - both ourselves and our amazing family and friends. They previewed the venue and found angles, settings and ideas for shots that we would never have thought of! Our pictures came out beautifully and we could not ask for more. I would recommend them to anyone!

Lauren + Michael are each amazing photographers and awesome individuals and together they make such a fantastic team. I fell in love with their photographic style and we were so thrilled when we found out they were available on our wedding date. They were so enthusiastic and responsive throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, they were so positive and professional and really helped us feel completely at ease on a fairly hectic day. And their photos are incredible and perfectly reflected the joy and energy of the day -- I couldn't believe some of the moments they captured (many I never even noticed). Would absolutely recommend!

Lauren and Michael were great. Our biggest concern with wedding photos were that we would feel uncomfortable, but they both put us at ease. We did an engagement shoot, which was a great way to get to know Lauren and get a little comfortable. Along the planning process, Lauren was available and open to our ideas. On the day of, she and Michael were creative and fun. They truly captured the essence of our special day.

We had a terrific experience with a guy + a girl photography! Lauren and Michael were incredibly easy to work with -- professional, super friendly, and very responsive. Many of our wedding guests remarked that they were "everywhere" during the evening, capturing tons of moments. We were also totally thrilled with the quality of the photos and the album. The only thing to note is that it takes awhile from the wedding to get the proofs back. That said, it was absolutely worth the wait.

Lauren and Michael were excellent to work with. Lauren chatted with us via skype when we initially made contact; she was in NY while we were in Boston. It was wonderful and reassuring to have that "face-to-face" time. I'm the type of person who, once something is booked, doesn't want to worry about it or give it much thought again until the day that was confirmed, i.e. our wedding, rolls around. I had some issues with other vendors being flaky but I had absolutely no concerns with a guy + a girl photography; they were utter professionals. Lauren and Michael were patient and knew when to "coach" us versus when to melt into the background, capturing candid moments. (As a side note: my husband is originally from California, as is Michael, so they hit it off right away!) Lastly and most importantly, their work is beautiful, creative, artsy and fun! We are absolutely thrilled with our photos! I've personally poured over the the photos more times than is probably normal but I honestly think it's because they make me happy and bring me right back to a day I truly treasure.

Lauren and Michael were awesome to have as our wedding photographers! When looking for a photographer, l knew I wanted a style that's a little different, not typical cliched wedding poses. My husband is slightly introverted, so I also wanted people who were relaxed and wouldn't make us feel awkward in front of the camera. I knew from our first meeting that Lauren and Michael fit the bill. Their fun, whimsical style is not easy to find. Lauren and Michael arrived early on our wedding day and documented everything beautifully without adding any stress to the day. We got some really amazing shots that I am proud to display in my home and show our friends and family.

Lauren + Michael were complete professionals from beginning to end. As photographers for both our engagement session and wedding, they provided us with some amazing photos that were beautifully shot and well orchestrated given the dynamic settings. The created a comfortable environment for us and were very understanding of the look and feel my wife and I were looking to capture. Lauren and Michael were tremendous to work with. Our wedding was a lot of work for us, but they made the photography run seamlessly. And, the shots are amazing. We looked at a lot of photographers, as I'm sure you are doing right now, and they had just that right aesthetic that we wanted. It didn't hurt that our good friends are also pro shooters (advertising, editorial, fine art) and independently chose Lauren's and Michael's work from the not-so-short list we sent them. When it came to choosing our photographer, we knew right away we wanted Lauren and Michael. I love their style of photography; a modern take to weddings. They have this mix of photo documentary, meets fashion, with a touch of quirky romance and an eye for detail.

For someone who gets real awkward in front of a camera, they made us feel at ease. They were such a great addition to our weekend wedding. They bring this positive energy that helps keep the day moving smoothly and with as little stress as possible. When we look back on the photos, Lauren and Michael not only captured our personalities, but you can feel the love and positive energy from the images.

A tip for anyone who gets nervous getting their photos taken, I highly recommend an engagement shoot. Lauren shot our engagement photos a few months before, giving us an idea of what our wedding day would be like as well as a day of being carelessly in love. The photos are amazing, and remind us of a day that was just for us.

Lauren was the wedding photographer for our elopement. My (now!) husband and I flew from the UK (with only my mum in tow) to get married in New York in April 2013. I'd contacted Lauren beforehand after checking out her and Michael's portfolio - and loving it! - and together (via email both before we arrived in NY and once we were there) we came up with a plan of action for the day. She was AMAZING! Our photos turned out beautifully and I would recommend her highly to everyone! Thanks Lauren.

We love Lauren and Michael! They were so warm, and took the most beautiful photos at both our engagement shoot and wedding. We had a very large, hectic wedding, and we couldn't believe some of the moments that they were able to capture. Aside from their talent as photographers, they were great people to work with and we really loved having them as part of our event. We highly recommend them!

I would recommend a guy + a girl photography to anyone! Lauren and Michael took beautiful photos that captured so many special moments. The editorial style of their photography is so modern but is still intimate and warm. They are also lovely people so it is a pleasure to have them around on your special day. You spend the most time with your photographer of any vendor, and I was happy to have Lauren and Michael with me. They have a range of photography packages that I found to be very reasonable, a great value for the amazing pictures I have!

I loved everything about working with Lauren and Mike. It was comfortable. It was easy. And it was worth it. The photographs turned out way better than I could have imagined. The quality of the light and combination of classic and artistic sensibilities was far better than anyone's I've worked with, to the point that it's still hard to believe that I'm looking at myself in these pictures. I'd highly recommend them.

Lauren Saldutti and her assistant photographed our wedding last year at Harvard. It was such a great experience and my husband and I treasure our pictures. Lauren was incredibly easy to work with prior to the wedding. We had a couple pre-wedding calls where I called out our questions and desires and she responded with great suggestions and reassurances. She had a great pre-wedding questionnaire that helped my husband and I get organized and share our thoughts.
Lauren's prices at the time were a great value for the caliber of work she brought. She's easy to work with and she was able to wrangle my larger than life wedding party. She was super creative setting up some really great ideas and props. During the key moments Lauren was able to get the awesome shot without intruding on the intimate moment.
After the wedding, Lauren got the photos to us on a disk, well edited in the time she promised. All and all I could not have asked for a better wedding photographer and would highly recommend Lauren to any bride.

We have worked with a guy + a girl photography on several occasions and are always incredibly happy with the result.

They always make us feel comfortable and relaxed when we are shooting and are adept at shooting in diverse situations. But it is their eye for the artistic side that we love most about them. Not just clean, well composed photos, but artistic emotional images that we will always treasure.

Lauren actually photographed our shower. The pictures are so vivid, and really catch the whole feel of the party. It was fun to work with her - we laughed a lot! When our wedding venue changed last minute, Lauren was super accommodating and understanding. They also sent great forms to me ahead of time so they could really gauge what kind of photos we were interested in. Great energy and even better photos!

We knew our wedding day would fly by in a blur, so finding photographers we could trust to capture every special moment was really important to us. From the very beginning, Lauren and Michael were incredible – organized, creative, and genuinely delightful to be around (which matters when you’re spending the bulk of your big day with them!).

They walked the perfect line between quietly observing and capturing intimate, candid moments while also stepping in with expert direction to help get all the shots we were hoping for (and more). Their experience really shone through in how smoothly everything flowed.

We got married at The Box House Hotel, and it was a nice bonus that they were already familiar with the venue — they knew the best lighting, angles, and even the surrounding streets for some fun, relaxed portraits that are now some of our favorites. Waiting for our photos was hard, but once we received them, they were worth the wait. Every image helps tell the story of our day beautifully.

We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Thank you, Lauren and Michael, for capturing our wedding so thoughtfully and artistically!

Lauren and Michael are AWESOME! They were so much fun to hang out with on our wedding day and were incredibly calming to be around. Lauren made a great schedule, that we stuck to pretty closely, so that we could get all of our group shots and first look pictures in while still being able to enjoy the cocktail hour and reception. We are so happy with the amount of photos and the quality of the pictures. We have loved sharing them with our family and friends and would absolutely recommend Lauren and Michael to anyone looking for two easy going, fun, friendly, upbeat photographers!

We were thrilled with our wedding photos from A Guy and a Girl. The photos came out beautifully, thanks to Lauren and Michael's creative eye and their ability to zero in on special, candid moments throughout the day. They also blended seamlessly into the crowd throughout the wedding; I didn't even notice they were there most of the time, which I think is part of what allowed them to capture so many truly candid photos. Lauren and Michael were easy to work with throughout the process. I found their prices to be very fair for the quality received; I felt the quality of our photos was similar to what I saw when looking at much more expensive options.
