    Perfect door to door service from three hotels to rehearsal dinner and back. Complex pickup for one bus who had to go to two hotels. But they got everyone there in good time and all enjoyed the service.

    A Goff did a great job with our wedding shuttles and our end of wedding limo. They drivers were all very professional and personable. The shuttles and town car were impeccably clean, and the pricing for rentals was totally reasonable.

    Do not use this company

    This company is the most awful and unreliable business I have ever worked with. I have never left a negative review, but if you are considering working with this company then you need to hear our experience.

    My husband and I booked two buses for our wedding to Mount Ida (a very well established, reputable wedding venue in Charlottesville owned by a group of lawyers) for October of 2021. We booked the buses months in advance with multiple conversations confirming our reservation. At midnight the morning of our wedding, Dan Goff emailed (he did not even have the courtesy to call) my husband cancelling our reservation leaving us less than 24 hours to find two charter buses for 150 guests. This led to excessive stress and lack of sleep, as you can imagine, that a bride and groom should not have to deal with on their wedding day. Dan Goff took no responsibility for his actions blaming the venue for requiring a last minute waiver which is false - I have attached our correspondence with our wedding coordinator and the venue.

    Given that the venue is owned by a group of lawyers, they were very transparent and professional with all correspondence between their company and Dan Goff. In an attempt to get a clear answer to why our reservation was cancelled so last minute we tried reaching out to A Goff transportation, and Dan Goff would not answer our calls. We later found out from our venue he knew earlier in the week he would not have enough drivers for our event but instead of letting us know that when he found out, he elected to tell us the morning of our wedding. We had these emails forwarded to us from the venue.

    Dan Goff is a nightmare to work with, and I recommend if you are looking for reliable transportation to look elsewhere. No one should have to deal with the amount of stress he caused my husband and I, and he never once apologized or took accountability for his actions.

    We chose A Goff to provide transportation for our guests from the hotels to the venue and back at the end of the night. We were hesitant to go with a larger (read: not local) company but were ultimately left with few options due to the high demand during our wedding weekend. We were initially pleased with the communication and assistance they provided us in selecting the number of trips we would need to and from the venue, based on our guest count and other details. We provided them with a very detailed itinerary in advance, which clearly laid out the plan that my husband and I were to get on the last shuttle with our wedding guests to be transported back to the hotel. We had fewer guests than expected depart on the first shuttle, which ultimately meant there were not enough seats on our last shuttle. Unbeknownst to us at the time (as we were saying final goodbyes), and despite our guests begging for the driver to wait to see if we (the bride and groom) could get on the last shuttle as planned, the bus departed without us. We understand that there are insurance and safety considerations which prevent the driver from allowing more guests on the bus than there are seats. It is also important to note that the driver made an extra loop back to pick up remaining guests (and charged us for it) ; however, everyone found other forms of transportation after waiting outside for 45 minutes. Still, what I am most disappointed with is the lack of communication and service after the wedding. I called the Monday after to discuss what happened with the departure and the concerns relayed by our guests and was told Bill (the supervisor) would call me back after he spoke to the driver. When I did not hear back after 4 days, I made a follow-up call, during which I spoke to Bill again who was dismissive of my concerns and completely unapologetic. I personally would not recommend A Goff to other couples because a wedding is personal and important and vendors should treat it as such.
