Kara doesn't sell wedding cakes anymore, she owns an Etsy shop that provides cake decorations and food safe silicone molds, but she doesn't make cakes. I called her to ask about making our wedding cake and told her that I found her here, and she told me that she's asked to have her business removed multiple times because it's confusing for brides, ut they won't take it down. I'm posting here to let other brides know! -

Angie Sent on 06/22/2008Awesome service!! She was so creative and spent so much time with us. We made many changes and added our groom's cake and bridesmaid's brunch and she was so flexible and willing to do everything quickly. Everything was not only beautiful but totally delicious!!! -

Eryn Sent on 11/17/2014We loved working with Kara. She is absolutely no-nonsense and very serious about her work. When I had a vision of a simple white cake with gumpaste magnolias, I knew that she would be the perfect woman for the job. She is a true artist - her photos will knock your socks off!
Also - Our wedding was on the more intimate side with twenty guests and Kara was beyond accommodating of our budget and bringing our vision to life. Besides the appearance of our cake - it was absolutely delicious. Our guests raved about how the flavors (almond cake with amaretto filling) were a match made in heaven and the perfect complement to our wedding meal.

User1753881 Sent on 08/07/2014Kara is wonderful! She's very professional and takes pride in her cakes. It tastes real and not commercialized at all. She's affordable and willing to work with your budget to make what you want possible within reason. She responds to email/phone calls in a timely manner. I love that she offers PayPal as an option to pay--very convenient compared to paying with a check (which is an option she offers too...) My husband and I both recommend her for anyone's wedding! -

Kara did an amazing job on the flowers, gold foiling, and the overall taste of the cake. All of our guests were talking about how beautiful the cake was!! Kara was a pleasure to work with! She is very professional and has great suggestions. We would definitely recommend A Cake to Remember to everyone we know! -

Kara was a doll, I changed my flavor a couple of times just to come back to the original flavor I picked :-) but she was very patient and understanding and the cake was DELICIOUS!!A Cake To Remember LLC's reply:

User1113393 Sent on 03/19/2013I had a fairly unique experience planning my wedding in that I only gave myself about 6 weeks to do it. I heard through the grapevine that Kara made lovely & delicious cakes, so I emailed her and was delighted to hear that she was available. I never did a tasting or spoke to Kara live, but after swapping just a handful of emails that didn't much specific direction from me, she managed to far exceed my expectations by making a gorgeous cake that was incredibly good! I would highly recommend the almond cake & buttercream frosting! I'm not sure this 'flying blind' arrangement would work for a larger wedding (ours was <40 people) or a more particular bride, but it worked out really well for me. We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!

Not only did she get our vision, but she was very excited to bake our cake. The flavors were great, and she can do anything with butter cream! She can even make butter cream look like fondtant. Our guests raved about our cake and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!

Kara, the owner, is beyond talented and only creates masterpieces. The cakes she makes are truly a form of art - and my cake was absolutely amazing, inside and out. Kara understood the design that I was looking for and all of my guest raved about how good it was. My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and my favorite detail at my reception! I also loved that Kara was extremely responsive to all of my emails - she helped make the planning process easy and smooth. I highly recommend A Cake to Remember!
