  Incredible music and incredible to work with!

  So so glad that we reach out to A beautiful sound for the music for our wedding! When sharing our visions/song likes Sam immediately thought of the perfect person, David to work at our wedding. Even with some last minute weather changes/schedule changes -- David so SO SO INCREDIBLE! So many of our friends told us how great the music was -- from live acoustic, so awesome DJ set -- it was really such an incredible night. 100% would recommend working with them and David -- you cannot go wrong. Genuinely will use them for any future event I can do - they were that good. So easy to work with, responsive and really make the music what you want vs a cookie cutter approach. If you're reading this review -- definitely go with them!

  Sam was the absolute MVP of our wedding celebration!

  From the very beginning, Sam impressed us with his organization and professionalism. Planning our music with him was a breeze – he listened intently to our tastes, offered fantastic suggestions, and crafted personalized playlists for both the ceremony and reception.
  
  The ceremony music was stunning. Sam performed a selection of songs that my husband and I curated. Then, at the reception, things transformed! He seamlessly transitioned into party mode,keeping the dance floor packed all night

  Exactly what we were looking for!

  We met with Sam from "A Beautiful Sound" and immediately hit it off in our first meeting. We were excited to book him for our wedding in Tahoe, and he was quick to respond to any of our questions and requests as our wedding day approached. A Beautiful Sound has a wide selection of entertainment packages, and we were able to find exactly what we were looking for, which was a live guitarist for our ceremony, and a DJ for our cocktail hour and reception.
  Leading up to the wedding day, we filled out a form to tell Sam about some of our song requests, and the overall musical vibe we were looking for throughout the night. I'm a DJ myself and my musical taste can get a bit obscure, so when I was filling this out, I really felt like I was throwing Sam some curve balls with some of my selections. I really didn't expect him to be able work some of these songs into the night, but he did, and absolutely knocked it out of the park! He kept the dance floor alive all night! Even before the dance party began, during the cocktail hour, and dinner hour, I couldn't help but notice that the music in the background was constantly impressing me, and it really felt like the music was personalized specifically for my wife and I.
  I should mention that Sam was also our guitarist for our ceremony. He had a nice list of songs to choose from and he even offered to learn a song for us, which my wife took him up on for her big ceremony entrance song!
  One thing that was also incredible was that when Sam heard I was a DJ myself, he offered to let me take over the decks at some point in the night if I wanted to. Well, many of my guests were kind of expecting me to take over at some point, so that's what I did! The opportunity to do a little DJ set at my own wedding for my guests was amazing! After putting Sam back on the decks to finish the night off, we danced until the venue shut down.
  I had many guests tell me how much they enjoyed the music throughout the night, starting with the live guitar at the ceremony, all the way through the late night dance party! Sam set a great tone for our entire wedding day and impressed me with his ability to pick the right songs at the right time. After months of planning and preparation, we could not have asked for a better night, and Sam was a big part of that!

  Amazing DJ!

  We highly recommend Sam and A Beautiful Sound! It was wonderful having him on guitar for our ceremony, and it was a seamless transition to dj'ing for the rest of the night. He did a great job of reading the vibe of our crowd, and was an absolute professional throughout.

  Gray and Sam are a dream team when it comes to creative projects. Their energy is unmatched with enthusiasm and creativity. Gray has done 3 video projects for my organization, and I can't recommend him enough. He listens to the vision, and takes my input into consideration without sacrificing quality. Hire this team!   Gray has been my go to videographer for years. He has filmed, directed, and edited several videos of mine and each time he nails it! Taking the time to get to know my vision, his style is collaborative but uniquely epic and cinematic. There is no doubt Gray is one of my favorite people to make art with on the planet!

  Sam and David made our day phenomenal! From the first call with Sam, I knew we had the right DJ. David picked up our date and communicated throughout the entire process. They worked with us as well as a separate band that played during happy hour. Their spreadsheet was perfect - they got our important songs as well as our general vibe. David KILLED IT at the reception and was the best emcee. If you're thinking of hiring A Beautiful Sound, just do it. You won't be disappointed.

  Amazing DJ!

  We had our wedding in Northern California and he was super excited to be able to travel there. He played beautiful church music which we were looking for in a DJ. At our happy hour he kept all our guests happy while we were taking pictures. Finally when it came to dancing he played all of our favorite music and we had the best time ever. Before the wedding we spoke all the time regarding what we wanted and didn’t want. His planning helped contribute to our best night ever. He was so helpful and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend to anyone!!!!

  Sam was amazing as our DJ for our Lake Tahoe wedding. He played live guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour and kept the party going all night in the reception! Very professional, friendly and calm - would highly recommend A Beautiful Sound!

  Sam and Cliff are the BEST!!!

  If you are looking for a personal and laid back planning experience and the ultimate dance party for your wedding look no further than Sam and Cliff! My husband and I got married at Palisades in May of 2023. We were looking for acoustic music for the ceremony, a trio for happy hour and a full band for the reception. Sam was super flexible and quick to respond as he worked with us throughout the planning process to understand our vision. On our wedding day, Sam played beautiful acoustic guitar for the ceremony and smoothly MCd our reception. Cliff and Sam and the rest of the trio started the party during happy hour. And for our the rest of the night, we had a full band that got all generations up and dancing - groovy, classic, and down right fun. I cannot recommend Sam and Cliff enough for epic accompaniment to your wedding!

  Best Wedding DJ I've Ever Heard!

  My husband and I are musicians and avid music fans, so we knew we wanted the best of the best for our wedding. We wanted someone who would be able to play soft, acoustic jazz for the ceremony, more fun, upbeat but still laid back music for the cocktail hour, and go hard during our dance portion of the wedding. We also didn't want someone who is too up in your face as an MC and didn't make the evening about them.
  Sam was the most perfect person we could have ever hired for our day. He is quite literally the best wedding DJ I have ever heard - his transitions were flawless, his music choices were killer, and the dance floor was packed the entire night, even with the dance portion being longer than a normal wedding!
  Sam was so thoughtful and respectful in all of our requests, of which I think we made a lot! We had very specific ideas in mind for our processional music and it was an absolute dream. He is an incredible singer, and our cocktail hour was so special because he crooned to us the entire time with soulful, fun tunes. We even had a pipe dream idea of singing a fairly obscure, unknown song for all of our guests, and Sam lead the helm on acoustic guitar and absolutely nailed it!
  And to top it all off, Sam is just an incredible person in general. He is so laid back, comfortable and confident with his craft, and is very enthusiastic about his job. You can tell that he really loves what he does, and it makes a difference.
  100/10 would recommend hiring Sam. You really will not find a better person to soundtrack your day.

  Absolutely AmazIng

  Sam was absolutely amazing and made our dreams a reality. He played accoustic guitar for our ceremony, sang and played during cocktail hour, and then DJ'd for our reception. I never thought I would be able to get a DJ who could do all 3 for us. It was everything we wanted. Thanks Sam, for everything!

  Sam was an incredible DJ & musician, who worked through very difficult circumstances as our outdoor wedding was severely rained out. He kept a positive attitude and brought the party back to life as our drenched wedding guests made their way to the reception.   Classy Cocktail Hour and Rowdy Dance Floor

  Sam was awesome to work with. He was flexible and easy to work with. His live guitar was perfect for our cocktail hour and his DJ skills made the dance floor rowdy. My guests were very impressed. I’d definitely recommend Sam!

  Tim Snider was amazing! Fantastic live music

  A Beautiful Sound connected us with Tim Snider, an amazing solo musician (violinist and singer). We were so lucky to find Tim - our original musician had cancelled on us, but Tim was flexible and responsive for joining on short notice. And we couldn't have been happier! His sense of timing and mood was ideal for our smaller outdoor ceremony, and his live music performance was definitely a highlight for our guests at the reception. He smoothly DJ'd our song list as well. Highly highly recommend, Tim is awesome to work with and brings great energy for a wedding.

  Excellent music vendor

  We loved having Sam and his talents on our wedding day. From the live guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour to the dinner and dancing. All around, we would recommend Sam.

  Great DJ and Guitar!!

  Sam was awesome!! He worked with us super well to create a great playlist going into the event and then was even better at reading the room and playing the right songs at the right time. He's also an awesome guitarist and it was really special to have acoustic guitar playing as our guests came in before the wedding.
