I read in someone's review that if I was "lucky enough" to have Pastor Skip as my Officiant that my day would be exceptional. I cannot echo those words enough! From start to finish he and his wife were amazing to work with. He heard us, truly supported us, and our ceremony was better than I could have imagined. He was ready to incorporate our individual reading requests and threw in surprises of his own. It was amazing, truly. The love was emphasized with his appreciation and dedication to his role in our ceremony,

Amazing experience!
I loved having pastor Ron marry me and my husband! The seashell toss was awesome and I’ve had so many wedding guests complement that part of our ceremony. He was so good with our kids and worked well with us all while doing the sand ceremony. Overall an amazing experience!

Pastor Skip was recommended by our wedding cake bakery, and I am so happy we found him.His great sense of humor and easy going personality kept things light and comfortable for the rehearsal and the wedding ceremony. Several guests mentioned how much they liked him. The bride and groom appreciated his personal touch and words of advice. All communication prior to the wedding was professional and friendly. Pastor Skip is simply the best!!

The most special day!!
What an amazing human Pastor Skip is. He was highly recommended to us when searching for an officiant and now we know why :) From day one, Skip showed us how meaningful this role is for him. He wanted to know who we were and offered us truly insightful advice. For the rehearsal and ceremony, we got to see the true professional that he is, in his element. You can tell he’s seen it all which gave us so much confidence. We’ll always be grateful that we were able to share our day with him and would choose him 100x over again to guide us through one of the most important and special days of our lives. Thanks, Skip!!

Pastor Ron is GREAT!
Pastor Ron was so amazing. I can’t even put into words how awesome he is and comfortable he made us feel during our rehearsal and at our actual ceremony. He listened to our story, and made sure to include everything we wanted in our ceremony. I will never forget when he had us hug during the ceremony because we made it through our vows (we were extremely nervous). He is a fun, outgoing, kind man and I am so glad we chose him!

Pastor Ron was so personable and made our day so special! He wrote our ceremony to fit who we are as a couple and our beliefs. We really loved our ceremony and couldn’t have asked for a better man then pastor Ron to begin our marriage!

Pastor Skip Corbett
My daughter was married this past August in Wilmington, NC and we commissioned Pastor Skip Corbett to perform the ceremony. He was fantastic! Pastor Skip brought an energy to the ceremony that was immediate to all in attendance. He was upbeat and personal in his message to my daughter and now son in-law as they exchanged their vows. Pastor Skip kept everyone engaged as he delivered thoughtful commentary about marriage. We feel so fortunate to have found him and happily recommend Pastor Skip and his wife Elaine to couples looking to get married on the coast.

Couldn't have picked anyone better!
Pastor Skip was absolutely fabulous at our ceremony! He knew exactly what to do and say, spoke clearly, and was very passionate. He was friendly and witty and made us feel comfortable during rehearsal and the ceremony. When my husband and I were saying our vows, he made sure to step out of the way so he wouldn't be in the background of our pictures, which all of our guests thought was a brilliant idea! His wife, Elaine, is wonderful and responded to e-mails in a timely manner. We can't say enough good things about Pastor Skip and are so thankful that we chose him to be apart of our wedding day!

Could not have asked for a better officiant for my wedding. It was absolutely the most perfect ceremony I could have ever asked for. Our guests all complimented Rev Skip on how well spoken he was and how well he made our ceremony symbolize the unity of two people and their families. Jamie and I absolutely fell in love with pastor Skip and his wife Elaine. Not only was the ceremony very unique and filled with beautiful personal moments that touched everyone’s hearts, these too beautiful people genuinely took a personal interest in us as a couple and ensuring our marriage would thrive forever. My family and friends raved about pastor skip after the ceremony and what a beautiful moment he created in our union. Pastor Skip and his wife are the most wonderful people who obviously have a passion for their ministry. We were coming to the beach to get married from out of town, and I was worried about not getting to meet the pastor performing my ceremony in advanced! I got to talk to Pastor Skip on the phone, and he alleviated all of my concerns, walking me through how the day would go, and asking if I needed anything at all. We then had a rehearsal, where he kept everyone laughing, and I was just at peace knowing my special day would run smoothly, and it absolutely did! He reassured us every step of the way, "If you drop the ring, or forget it, I have extras, if it falls off, I can pin it back on, if it comes loose, we can tighten it!" Everything from the rehearsal, to the ceremony, to helping us with picture suggestions, to having information on his website to help us apply for a marriage license, and then making sure we would keep in touch with him in the years to come, was absolutely perfect. I am so glad I contacted Pastor Skip, I can't picture what my perfect wedding day would have been like without him!

Words cannot describe how perfect our wedding was. Such an incredibly large part of that is due to Pastor Skip and his sweet wife, Elaine. My husband and I had lived in Wilmington, NC for years and knew we wanted to have our wedding there too. We had to move to Virginia for work, so it was difficult planning a wedding for a place we no longer were. We found Pastor Skip and Elaine through reviews which inspired us. Elaine reached out numerous times before the wedding to ensure that everything was planned out exactly as we wanted it. She provided resources regarding music choices, marriage license information, and rehearsal schedules. My husband and I met Pastor Skip the night of our rehearsal, and were immediately taken by him. Pastor Skip has an infectious smile and tremendous sense of humor. He put any nerves we had at ease right away. Our rehearsal went flawlessly. As for the wedding day itself, I was touched when Pastor Skip stopped by the room my girls and I were waiting in, just to check in. Our ceremony exceeded any expectation we had. It was the perfect mix of sentimental and humorous. Pastor Skip added the most beautiful touches and provided us and our guests memories that will last a lifetime. We had so many compliments regarding the ceremony and Pastor Skip. He even left us with his number to call him whenever we need him. My husband and I are just so blessed that Pastor Skip and Elaine were willing to work with us. I sincerely hope this review will inspire others to choose Weddings of Topsail!

We were a little nervous about not meeting the officiant before the wedding but everything worked out great! We had a small wedding party so we opted out for the official rehearsal. pastor Ron was so nice and heartfelt when speaking. Everyone commented on how special he made our ceremony reading and how it felt like he had known us for a while! Thanks Elaine for being so quick to respond! That was awesome to have during the planning process !

Pastor Skip & his wife, Elaine were nothing short of AMAZING. Elaine was in charge of getting everything planned and ready for the big day. She was quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the planning process. Pastor Skip was loved by every single person that attended our wedding. He was the perfect balance of funny (to alleviate the nerves) and serious. They also provided all the benches, bamboo arbor, sound, and set up for the actual wedding. The set up was beautiful and they even got rid of the "cliff" of sand on the beach to make sure no one tripped walking down. The set up crew was quick and efficient which made the ceremony stress free and run smoothly! We really, really, REALLY enjoyed working with them and HIGHLY recommend using their services.

Pastor Skip was the perfect officiant for our wedding! He delivered the ideal mix of humor and reverence with a touch of Southern charm. Everyone told us how much they liked him! He met with us beforehand, counseled us, and told us to let him know in the future before we do anything stupid! His wife Elaine is his right hand woman and was so helpful and responsive! We are so happy we chose Pastor Skip for our wedding. While we had only met him a few months before, his words and attitude felt like we had known him for years. Coming from years of experience, Pastor Skip not only relieved much of our stress, but also advised us in areas we were unfamiliar with. His professionalism, respect, knowledge, and overall services left us and our families very pleased. Some family members even said they would get married in the Wilmington area just to have him as their officiant! Elaine, behind the scenes, made communication pleasant, and worked with us while we were states away during the months leading up. They allowed us to craft our own unique ceremony, using a mix of their templates and our own words, which made our ceremony feel extremely personal. We could not be happier with our experience and would highly recommend Pastor Skip!!

My husband and I are so very glad that we chose Pastor Skip to officiate our wedding! 23 attended a friends wedding months before ours and knew we had to get him to officiate our wedding as well. He wants to know your story and truly get to know who you are, which I find very vital in someone who is going to officiate your wedding! Pastor Skip was so nice and had a sense of humor which made us feel so comfortable standing in front of over 100 people! After our ceremony he chatted with us congratulating us and offering any help/advice in the future if we ever need it. He insisted we call him if we ever have trouble. When you hire Pastor Skip, you are getting him for more than just your wedding day. I am so thankful he officiated our wedding ceremony and made it so memorable, in a day that is so busy, crazy and can be a blur. His wife Elaine did a lot of the contacting and was always quick to respond and was so helpful! They make an incredible team!

With this being an out of town wedding for us we were not able to meet Pastor Skip until our rehearsal. Leaving the rehearsal we were literally high fiveing each other talking about how we had the best pastor ever! Pastor Skip is very personable with an awesome since of humor. Our wedding party thought he was awesome and during the ceremony he broke everyone's emotions with the occasional laugh. We highly, HIGHLY, recommend Pastor Skip for your wedding!

We absolutely loved working with Skip! Lori and I have been wedding photographers in the area for over 10 years and we've had the chance to work with many officiants in that time. When it came to choosing who to marry us, there was no one else we would have chosen. His ceremonies are warm and heartfelt. He'll bring you to tears one minute (the good way) and have you laughing the next!
Skip is a genuine and kind person from the inside out. I don't think I've ever seen him without a smile on his face! He's not just an officiant that will be with you on your wedding day, he makes it clear that he's there for you at any time that you need him. If you choose to book Skip, and you should :), you will not be disappointed!

I don't even know where to begin. We were so completely thrilled with Pastor Skip! I worked with his wife Elaine to book his services for our wedding. She is so quick to respond and just lovely to work with. I had a phone call with Pastor Skip since I live out of town and I immediately felt comfortable and knew he had just what we were looking for! We booked him for our rehearsal and wedding ceremony right away. We didn't end up meeting Pastor Skip in-person until the rehearsal but he immediately made us feel at ease. I was feeling super overwhelmed at the rehearsal and he kept the mood light, had us laughing and kept us super calm. His instructions were super clear and erased all our worries for the day of. He is such a professional and clearly knows what he is doing. I can't even being to describe how beautiful the ceremony was. For just meeting us he had an amazing way of making us feel like he knew us forever. The ceremony was perfect and just what we wanted. The rose ceremony was a lovely added touch and something we'll carry with us in the years to come. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments we received that day about Pastor Skip. Everyone commented how beautiful the ceremony was and how meaningful his words were. I know we'll carry those words forever in our hearts but it will also stay with our friends and family as well. He also made the marriage license piece very simple. We told him who our witnesses were the night before and he quietly took them aside after the ceremony to sign the document. He also then takes it downtown back to the courthouse so you don't have to worry about it. I would 100% recommend Pastor Skip to officiate your ceremony. We'll definitely keep in touch with him over the years and reach out if we ever need anything. I can't speak highly enough of him! Thanks again!!

Skip is now part of our family forever :) From the very beginning, we knew Skip would be different, the right fit, and everything we didn't realize we needed. He shared his mission, which is beautiful, and we immediately clicked, and there were tears. He asks the tough questions, he makes you think (and connect) with your future spouse. He is honest about the real issues a married couple will face. He was the calm in the storm (literally in our case), and we couldn't imagine sharing our day, and our promises, with Reverend Skip.

Elaine Corbett was so easy to work with in the planning of our renewal ceremony. She was so helpful with getting me information on where to meet them for the ceremony and found a place and time that worked with our schedule. She was instrumental in helping me surprise my husband with a renewal ceremony for our anniversary. Rev. Beach Wedding Ministries did a fabulous job officiating our wedding! We were beyond pleased with our ceremony and how personal it was to us and our location of the wedding. To include and bond of my husbands daughter, we presented a bracelet during the ceremony, and the words created for that moment were perfect. I would also recommend the sand ceremony too! It sits in our home and we talk about it and remember the day often! This isn't just someone who will marry you and be on their way. While the ceremony was great, we know we can call them if we need other services. We received a copy of the ceremony and that was so touching. You will always be able to remember that special moment. We had the pleasure of working with Rev. Ron & Janie Lewis for our dockside backyard wedding and they were absolutely fabulous! They were incredibly professional, responsive, and personable. Reverend Ron Lewis instantly made us comforted during our stressful wedding planning. He was hilarious and we received so many positive comments from our guests about how much they liked Rev. These guys are AWESOME and we highly recommend them to do your wedding! Elaine and Pastor Skip did an amazing job for our wedding. They were very accommodating, friendly, professional, flexible and caring. Elaine took care of all the details and planning while Pastor Skip and an assistant did a phenomenal job executing the ceremony. The ceremony was WAY better than we imagined due to Pastor Skips skill, experience and compassion combined with a simple elegance provided by the backdrop and music.
It was very windy when our ceremony started but Pastor Skip and his assistant had a wonderful sound-system ready to go that made everything go perfectly.
We are soooooo glad we had them do our wedding! We highly recommend them.

My husband and I were married on September 1, 2012. Pastor Skip was so wonderful! We were supposed to be married on the beach at sunset, however due to storms our wedding was put on hold. Pastor Skip asked me if I would like to move my wedding to tomorrow, be married inside, or wait out the storm. I was determined to be married on the beach, so we waited out the storm. However, it began to get dark and we were worried about lighting. Instead of Pastor Skip saying we needed to postpone the wedding he went out himself and purchased lights to line a path way on the beach. He was so extremely patient and so full of postive vibes! He made sure we had the wedding of our dreams! I recently contacted him to see if he happened to have any pictures from our wedding, being a year later I was not in high hopes of him finding any. However, his wife was very fast to contact me back & after searching she found our pictures! I would highly suggest Pastor Skip to anyone! I plan on contacting him, as do my parents, to renew our vows! If you are looking for a great, fun, patient, and awesome Pastor he is definitely the one!

Pastor Skip was the perfect officiant for our wedding. This was a second wedding for both of us so we didn't want a very formal service. My new bride and I are also very easy-going people. Pastor Skip fit right in with the festive, relaxed mood of the wedding while keeping the proceedings dignified and spiritual. Our friends still talk about what a terrific service he performed.
Just to clarify, I believe that Pastor Skip would also be fantastic in a formal wedding as well. He just identified what we wanted for our ceremony and fit right in like an old family friend.
