Great transportation company!

We worked with A1 to organize large buses, and smaller shuttle, and a few sedans to bring our guests to and from our venue on our wedding day. Josh at A1 was easy to work with in terms of outlining pricing, timing, and expectations for each vehicle as we planned all of the transportation. On our wedding day, everything turned out wonderfully with friendly drivers and completely on time transportation. We definitely recommend A1!

Made contact with Josh over at A-1 Limo in Princeton. His service was second to none and everything that was scheduled was on point. From the sale to the day of service, everything was the way it should have been. The bus driver was on time to pick up for pictures for both sides of the wedding party, the return to the wedding venue to the pick up time at the end of the reception. And he had a great personality. To top things off, the driver himself went out of his way to retrieve my medication from the hotel room and bring it to the venue site. We couldn't have asked for any better service! We highly recommend A1 Limo for transportation services.

A1 provided very dependable and professional coach transport for our guests to and from the hotels and venues for our Sept 2014 wedding. Josh was very flexible in accommodating our evolving needs, and our guests reported back that the ride was fun.

We used A-1 Limousine to provide us with a shuttle for our family and friends for our July 12th 2014 wedding. We heard nothing but great things about them after our wedding! They were very friendly and punctual and their prices are very fair. We definitely recommend A-1 Limousine!

Hired transportation for an important event can be worrisome if you do not hire the right people. A-1 Limousine did provide the right people and service. Joshua organized our transportation needs efficiently and provided excellent advice. The drivers were on time for every leg of the journey. They were approachable and professional at the same time. Their vehicles were clean, comfortable and stocked with useful items. This company was dependable on one of the most important days of our lives and we appreciate it greatly. Highly recommended.

A-1 Limousine was a fantastic company to work with for our wedding transportation. Joshua was our main point of contact. He was one of the nicest and most knowledgeable vendors we worked with. He also made himself available whenever needed. We had (2) 56 passenger buses and (1) 22 passenger shuttle. The price was competitive and the service was incredible.

Our wedding took place at a very popular time in Princeton and our guests were staying at multiple hotels. We were having difficulty locking down the exact number of guests who were planning to use the shuttle so when explaining this to Joshua, he had offered to create card inserts to add to our invites (at no additional cost) so that when guests rsvp'd, they would check off if they would be using the shuttle service.

It worked and the day of transportation was perfect! Guests had even commented on how well the shuttle service ran and how great the drivers were!

Meet them at a bridal show, contacted them later to find out how much it would cost for our needs and how we could make them fit into our budget. Hired them made all final plans, and the day before our wedding at the rehearsal we are told we need to be at the church earlier then we were previously told. One phone call to them and everything was fixed without any issues. The day of the wedding they were ontime, clean, helpful, and safe driving! Glad we used them!

We had a great experience with A1. Our driver was kind, the vehicle was great and they even shuttled us back to our hotel in hurricane! Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they credited me for not using the shuttle for the entire amount of time that we had originally paid for!

A-1 Limousine is by far the best Limo Service. I never seen a limo driver so helpful to a bride on a rainy day. A-1 was very quick in responding to calls or emails. You will not be disappointed in going with A-1 Limousine

A1 Limo was great! We had to bus 75+ guests from Princeton to Somerset over the course of the day and A1 not only made it happen seamlessly but made it enjoyable & comfortable for our guests. Yes - enjoyable to be on a bus! From planning to execution A1 was professional and helpful. THANK YOU!

Every bit of our experience working with Josh was fantastic. He truly listens to your needs, matches you to the best vehicle and sets your expectations right away. His customer service is top notch! Our driver was incredibly nice, very patient and accomodating. He knew the area well and was extremely polite to our guests. I would use A-1 again and would recommend them highly to anyone looking for transportation services of any kind.

After talking with Joshua at A-1 Limousine regarding leasing a limousine, a party bus and two large busses for my son's wedding, I knew everything was going to be taken care of. Joshua asked and answered questions that I never thought of. He as well as his drivers were both professional and courteous. I would highly recommend using A-1 limousine for your wedding.

I hired A-1 Limosine to transport our guests (about 150 people) to our wedding reception. Coordinating transportation to the reception site was probably the most time-consuming and stressful aspects of the planning process. For one, the reception site was only accessible by a long, windy, one-way road and impossible for large busses to access. Josh Turchin, Sales Rep with A-1, was one of the most qualified, competent, and genuinely kind people I had the pleasure to work with during the planning process. Not only did Josh take the time (on multiple occasions) to talk through the schedule & coordinating details, but also drove to the site (twice) to make sure the busses would fit down the road.

Though I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, I actually emailed Josh at 12:30 am the night before the wedding (or the morning of, technically) to make a last minute pickup change for one of the vehicles. He emailed me back a half hour later confirming the changes. He took it upon himself to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible the day of the wedding. And you know what? It was the best day of my life. And even better not having to worry about transporting our (tipsy) friends & family from point A to point B.

Thank you so much to Josh Turchin, and A-1 Limosine, for going above and beyond.

My husband and I chose A1 Limousine for all of our wedding transportation (3 large buses, 1 limo for the full day and 1 town car) and we were absolutely thrilled with every aspect of their service, right from the beginning. Before we booked, we did extensive work to compare pricing, and we found A1 to be the most competitive. What was even more appealing than the great rates, though, was definitely the service! Our sales consultant was incredible! He worked with us to figure out an ideal mix of vehicles, suggested extras that we hadn't thought of (like reserving parking spaces in front of the hotel) and was always looking out for us. He was quick, reliable, and it was obvious that he cared about everything being perfect (which any bride can appreciate). On the day of the wedding, all of the vehicles arrived on time and knew exactly where to go - there were absolutely no problems.

We would enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone planning a wedding or large event. The level of service was impeccable and the prices were competitive - we couldn't have asked for more.

Buses were new, and the drivers were professional and kind

We hired a sprinter van to do multiple trips for our wedding party, and two 56-person buses for the remainder of our wedding guests. The van and the buses appeared to be new and functioned without flaw. The drivers were all professional and kind and handled guests who had a bit too much to drink graciously and without complaint. I would definitely hire A-1 again, but I wish they had a contract with clearly delineated deadlines and terms rather than a mere reservation system. This difference didn't impact anything day-of, but it made planning a bit more stressful than it needed to be since I was never entirely sure when my credit card was going to get charged, what the itemized charges would be (for instance, I didn't know 18% gratuity was included until I got the invoice after the wedding so I tipped twice), or what would happen if something went wrong (for example, a bus breaking down or a guest getting sick on the bus). Having said that, Michelle was very helpful every step of the way and answered every question I had the foresight to ask in advance.

Princeton (wedding was in Hamilton): They were great. They shuttled people to and from the hotel to the venue on a 55 passenger bus that was clean and beautiful. Everyone loved it and our driver was awesome. Highly recommend them!

We used the 14 passenger limo van for transportation to and from our wedding ceremony. We booked with Josh who was very helpful and Ann, our driver, was fantastic!!! The inside of the van was very clean but the ride was a little bumpy at times which caused some glasses to spill ;-) Other than that, no complaints!

everyone here is so nice and professional. They arrived when they said they would and stayed later than they had to. The limo was so clean and well stocked. I even got an upgrade when they made a mistake calculating space. I was very impressed and I highly recommend!

A-1 limo provided a 32 passenger bus on my wedding day to transport our guests between the hotel and venue (located about 20 minutes away from each other).

I was initially hesitant to book A-1 limos based on a wide range of reviews of the company online. However, after more research, I found that most limo companies had bad reviews. I decided to go with A-1 limo because they were the most affordable of all the options that I could find.

I personally did not ride the shuttle bus between the hotel and venue so I cannot speak to the professionalism or quality of the driver. I can say that the bus left the hotel on time and brought our guests to the venue on time. The driver also went back to the hotel to pick up several guests who missed the initial departure.

In terms the administrative aspect of the process, I worked with Josh. Overall, he was very responsive to my emails. I did have to request a receipt after my initial deposit and a receipt for the total payment when the event was over. These receipts were supposed to be sent to me automatically.

I would say that the bus service went smoothly and considering that A-1 has the most competitive rates that I could find, I would recommend them for wedding transportation.

Communication was great and pricing was best we had found in the area for a limo bus. I was also lucky to win a gift card at a local wedding show that we could use toward our wedding limo. The driver was a bit rough on the breaking as some of our passengers expressed to us. Aside from that the ride was comfortable. There were two kids on board and they stress the use of child safety seats if they are riding along. We did find there are some differences when the vehicle is based in NJ or PA so be sure to check these details when booking to avoid any surprises on arrival.

We were very happy with the vehicle itself and the driver was very professional in his dealings with us the day of. However, we did have several issues. First, we chose them because of an advertised price, yet we ended up paying over twice that amount with all the fees and overtime charges not listed. We also had a dispute with the timing, the driver took a lot longer to get from the ceremony to the reception site, and put in that he dropped us off later than we actually did (He wrote that we dropped us off two minutes before our cocktail hour ended, even though we were there long enough to socialize, eat and have a drink) and also stated that we had wanted him to do extra services like shuttle between the reception and the hotel for an extra half an hour when that was never discussed. He also stayed longer filling out paperwork and forms on our dime. As a result they tried to charge us an extra $200 for overtime. We were able to reach an agreement regarding this, but we found it rather unprofessional.

If you pay by credit card, clearly note that they can not hit card without your personal consent. they are thief's!

After reading other peoples' reviews, I don't know what went wrong here, but I am EXTREMELY disappointed with A-1 Limousine's services. The limo, in fact, was the most disappointing vendor of our wedding day.

1) Upon arrival to my parents' residence, the driver knocked over a post at the end of their driveway. At an already very stressful time, my father (in his tuxedo) had to go running out into the yard to direct the driver and then dig the post back into the ground.

2) As soon as my bridal party and I got into the limo, the driver began asking where we were going and for directions. Throughout the entire day, he had the partition down asking for directions. I had to constantly yell above the sounds of the air conditioning to be heard as well as scoot up to the front of the car to hear what he was asking.

3) I had made a slight schedule change the week prior and the driver was completely unaware of the adjustment. And, of course, he didn't know how to get there.

4) Perhaps the most shocking error of all, when he was to bring me and my husband to the venue (the one time he had the partition up not asking me how to get places), he wound up bringing us to a UPS facility. He had to stop and ask for directions from the security guard as to how to get to the venue and even when he got there, he forgot the names of his passengers (he in fact, called my husband by the wrong name the entire day) and could not tell the gatekeeper who we were (so that we could be admitted) and then when we finally were able to get through, he didn't know which building to go to.

I was promised professionalism and quality service. What I received was anything but. The limo service was perhaps the most stressful part of the day for me and unfortunately, my mind keeps going back to how disappointing the service was.

I have emailed them with my complaints and to discuss the extra charges for being outside of the contracted time (due to the driver getting lost) and have not yet heard from them. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

UPDATE: it took several days for them to work out a refund. I was constantly told they would call me in "15 minutes with a decision" and would then wait 12 hours. Eventually I got part of the refund I requested but the remainder of it I had to dispute with my credit card company. Most definitely would not use their services again. Completely unprofessional and did not treat me with the kind of service they promise.

Unsafe and expensive

A1 employs the oldest drivers I have ever seen. They struggle with luggage and get confused as to where they have parked. One driver the week of Christmas had a soccer game live streaming on his phone the entire trip from Princeton to EWR.

The most obnoxious policy, and it’s company wide, is they won’t park in premium lots. Customers get to hike to the farthest points in the various terminal lots instead of in the lots every other company uses. I cannot stress this enough: you will hike forever getting to your so-called “luxury” service because they won’t pay for the limo lots at Newark.

Lastly, the latest elderly person who picked us up couldn’t remember how to get to the car. When we got there, he stacked luggage over the barrier in the trunk area directly behind my son’s head. Even the slightest short stop would have sent a giant suitcase into his head and neck. An accident would have killed my kid.

My husband jumped out as the driver started to pull away and just flipped the suitcase sideways, making it possible to put the teetering suitcase safely next to the rest of the luggage.

All of this for the ridiculous price of $250 EACH WAY.

Rude driver and they way overcharged us- beware!

We used A1 for our wedding limo for the bride and bridesmaids this past June as they were our venue's preferred vendor. It was fine through the booking process, but they were very unprofessional the day of my wedding and afterwards.

The driver showed up an hour and fifteen minute before they were supposed to arrive at 2 p.m. and kept trying to get us to leave early. It became clear very early on that A1 had double booked the limo (we had paid for four hours but they knew that we were only traveling one way- from where we were getting ready to the wedding venue). We eventually all got into the limo and my bridesmaids asked if could play music and driver told us there was an aux cord somewhere and to figure it out. Upon arriving at the venue the driver immediately tried to make us get out and when we said we needed to wait for the photographer to arrive so we could do photos getting out of the limo and of my first look- he responded "well I need to get to another job..." We waited in the limo about 15 minutes outside of our venue until my photographer was ready for us and the ENTIRE time the driver kept making comments to my bridesmaids about how we needed to get going and get out of the limo. It got to the point I was almost crying and my bridesmaid had to calm me down before my first look.

At that point my husband and I were just going to let it go and not leave a review at all, but then we realized that A1 had charged us $300 OVER the quoted price. I called A1 the day after my wedding to let them know and I was sent to the voicemail of the person who handles weddings... after the phone range their was no voicemail box. I must have had to call four or five times to get it all sorted out. It took us until August 13 to get the $300 back. It was truly a circus trying to get the right person to talk to about what had happen. I was told by two separate people from A1 that they were sorry and understaffed, etc etc. but them being understaffed is no excuse for their driver's behavior and huge error in billing.

Brides and grooms beware! They were by far our worst wedding vendor and most stressful part of the wedding day for me as the bride.

Worst Experience

I’d like to make a few points.
First this is first 1 star review I’ve ever written for any company.
Second Jeff was truly an amazing driver.
Third, I was never going to write a review until I spoke to Michelle.

This is a lot to read so if you want to skip the story, here’s the point of this review. Beware of this company. I suggest you to not to use them. I will never use them again.

A-1 had poor communication with our venue and the driver, they never realized the bridge to our reception ( a venue they have been to before) wasn’t able to hold the weight of the bus they were using. This caused the driver to take a different route, causing our guests to be 40 min late to our wedding.

We had our wedding coordinator contact them to make the dispatcher aware of the situation and send a few smaller vehicles so we could get our guests across the bridge that the bus was too big for and get to our wedding.

Like I said before, we weren’t going to call them or leave a review. However they decided to charge us for the extra shuttles they needed in order to live up to their end of the contract. We called because we thought it might be an error. We spoke to Michelle who probably had worst attitude I ever dealt with in any business.

At least we had an amazing wedding despite this horrible service.
