Joe was a pleasure to work with for our engagement shoot and on our wedding day! He is a really chill guy who made us feel so comfortable and produced great photos. He is an experienced wedding photographer who has a knack for finding great angles, amazing lighting and pristine images that capture your special day. He had his second shooter travel to my house and he worked with my wife leading up to our wedding ceremony. He worked incredibly smoothly with our videographer (Bilski Productions) and got all the important moments from our wedding. He even stayed until the very end to capture our last dance with the big circle of friends and family around us. His shots of everybody on the dance floor all night were amazing, and he's definitely a guy we would recommend to any of our friends who get married in the coming years.

What can I say about Joe.... he is absolutely incredible. One of the most important vendors to book is your photographer and look no further than Joe Sanfilippo. From the minute I met Joe and saw the samples of his work I knew I had to book him. He was the first vendor we booked after our venue. Weeks before the wedding you worry so much about.... so much... but one worry I didn't have was about my pictures. I knew Joe would do an amazing job, rain or shine. From start to finish he was a complete professional. He answered my many emails, phone calls and texts and was a complete joy to work with. After finishing our engagement pictures I knew we had made the right decision hiring him. The day of the wedding was no different. He and his assistant were on time and got right to work. He is a perfectionist and his work showcased that he is a master at his craft. He was extremely patient with our, at times, rowdy bridal party and I so appreciated him laughing with us, even when he probably wanted to run away and scream! Weeks later on the day he sent us the link to our online album- I cried. The pictures captured every moment of our special day beautifully. He followed the list I gave him of "must haves" and then some. We just finished the process of creating our album and again- no surprise- he was amazing. He was quick to get back the responses and revisions for both our album and our parent album. Hiring Joe was the best decision my husband and I made- second only to choosing each other! Pictures last FOREVER, don't make the mistake of booking anyone else. Joe, thank you thank you so many times over!

This review is over a year late, but I wanted to add to the other reviews that Joe and his team are great photographers. I planned my whole wedding from Florida and Joe was quick to respond, helpful, and professional. It was not that way for all of our vendors.

From our first meeting, working with Joe was incredible. My wife and I had looked at several different photographers but were drawn to the true photo-journalism of Joe's work. When we met with him he was extremely professional and laid out all of the packages and pricing options clearly and honestly.

Included in his package deal is a set of Engagement photos. Joe had excellent suggestions on locations and we were thrilled with how they came out. He made the shoot so much fun and stress free, and we loved how natural we looked in all of the shots.

One of our big concerns at the wedding was capturing the important moments without getting in the way of them. Joe's photo-journalism style made him the perfect choice. He and his fantastic assistant were incredibly discreet.

The other big plus of working with Joe is that he gives you a thumb drive with all of the photos he takes so you have digital copies of them all.

We are so excited to see all of the completed photos and we would, and have, recommend Joe to all of our friends!

My husband and I shopped around and saw a few different photographers before we met Joe. Right after our meeting with Joe, we knew we had complete confidence in him to document our wedding day in his own creative way. I have heard horror stories about other photographers and we are really glad that we booked Joe SanFilippo. He was a pleasure to work with from the start of our engagement photoshoot through our wedding day. The quality of his photos are wonderful and very natural. We were so excited to receive our engagement book as well as our wedding album. Everything turned out really classy and we couldn't have made a better decision than booking with him. Joe was friendly, professional and responsive from the start. He was flexible enough to take our engagement photos on the fly in NYC and was helpful in getting us acclimated to having non stop photos taken of us. On the wedding day he was great as well... keeping just enough distance, but getting all of the important shots. The photos came out great and everyone who sees them loves them. We would use Joe again and highly recommend him.

I saw a beautiful wedding taking place at my hall during my tasting so while in search for pictures from the hall I was using I stumbled upon Joe Sanfilippo's website and I was shocked that there were actually pictures from the wedding I saw! I met with one other photography studio that everyone and their brother uses (including my own brother) and when I told them I had to think about it she actually asked me "so should I draw up the contracts?" I said definitely not and immediately called Joe. My husband is a graphic designer and I was afraid he'd be so picky but as soon as he saw Joe's work he agreed to book him immediately. Joe was a professional from start to finish, he stayed on top of me all the time without being pushy, he even shot my zombie themed engagement shoot. I recommend Joe to every person I come in contact with and will continue to do so!

Joe and his team were incredible at my wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Joe was accommodating, easy to get in touch with, and flexible with engagement photoshoot days and times. I don't think I waited more than a few hours before getting a response to my many emails. And being completely honest, I am a big critic when it comes to photos of me and I can say that I loved every single photo from my wedding. I would absolutely recommend Joe Sanfilippo Photography! His packages are worth it and once you book, you don't have to worry about forgetting anything having to do with your wedding photography because he really does it all and he does it so well.

My husband is a photographer, which made finding someone to hire for our wedding next to impossible. We stumbled upon Joe at another wedding, and after months of searching, we were finally happy - in fact, thrilled - about the quality of the photos we were seeing. Joe has great style and creativity, and he was super fun to work with. I'm not big on having my picture taken, but after spending an afternoon with Joe for our engagement shoot, I felt like a pro and totally relaxed by the time the wedding came around. We got our pictures back within weeks of the event, and they look fantastic!

I hired Joe as my photographer for my wedding and was very pleased!! He arrived on time, courteous, and professional. Joe was very enthusiastic and made my husband and I very comfortable while taking our photos. Joe knew I really wanted a silouhette shot, and although the lighting was less than ideal for it, he made every effort and made sure he got the shot I wanted!! We received our digital proofs very quickly and they were AMAZING!! We also just received our finished album and it looked beautiful!! We were very happy!! Joe is very talented. I will definately recommend him in the future.

I was incredibly lucky to have been able to book with Joe. We had three months to plan and everything and wasn't even sure if he was going to be able to shoot our wedding, but thank the Lord, Joe was available!

Him and his team were more than quick to respond, willing to work with us and was professional throughout the entire process of us working together. He is very laid back, easy to work with and him and his team were just plain fun!

Working with Joe was one of the easiest parts of my wedding. He was professional, friendly, and made us feel so comfortable every time we met with him. Our pictures are stunning and were ready immediately after our wedding. He was flexible in times and places that we met. He was always on time and organized. We enjoyed having him there with us the day of our wedding and he made things so easy when it came to picture taking. Weddings can be hectic! If you want some smooth sailing somewhere then Joe Sanfilippo photography can be that for you during your planning experience. He is as nice as he is professional and very easy to work with from start to finish. Living over an hour away he was willing to switch times if need be and work around my schedule. I feel like I did not have to wait more than an hour, if that, to get an email response from him. Pictures, A-Maz-Ing, and he will do whatever you want and beyond. Budget for us was something to be highly considered and it was worth every penny. He covered every moment he was there and I don't regret at all not having a video. Joe is the one part of your wedding you wont feel you need to stress until the day, you will see once you meet him, and I truly mean that.
The only tip i will give is have a list ready for him to make sure all the wanted photos are taken, advice he will give you and of course I forgot, but you will need it!

My wedding was May 28th. I received all my proofs today and they are all absolutely breathtaking. Each picture is better than the next. My family has not even seen the pictures yet and for the past 2 weeks all they have talked about is how great he was that entire day. As soon as the ceremony started I did not see him until he came up to us at the end of the night to say goodbye. He captured so many memorable moments without being in the way. I highly recomend hiring Joe for your wedding or special event. There is not one bad thing I could say about him or his services.

SOOO 110% HAPPY!!! :)

We are so lucky to have found a photographer as amazing as Joe to capture the memories of our wedding day. I had met with 5 or 6 photographers before Joe and left each meeting feeling like I was being schmoosed, overcharged or they simply just didn't get me. From my first meeting with Joe I knew he was the right guy for the job. We actually finished our meeting and I couldn't let him walk out the door without booking him. Besides being amazingly talented, Joe is just such a nice, down to earth guy.

Each photograph of my wedding spoke volumes about the care and quality he puts into his work. His photographs are simply breathtaking. His photojournalistic style really captured each of those planned and unplanned moments of our wedding day. I couldn't have been more happy with our photos, albums and thank you cards. I can't forget to mention that we got our Thank you's within days of selecting them, and our album and proofs within couple of weeks!!!

This just goes to show you get everything you expect from Joe and more...Among the freebies were a engagement shoot ( for which Joe traveled over an hour and a half away because it was a sentimental location for us). Joe also make a customized wedding website and all different mini photo cards with various pictures of me and my husband to be scattered around at the wedding.

Joe is AWESOME and I cannot say enough about him as a photographer and a person. He so down to earth, a pleasure to work with and his work is worth every penny. I feel like I found my photographer for life. I can't wait to call Joe next when we start a family!!

I knew Joe was the right photographer for our wedding almost the moment I met him. Picking a photographer was one of my top priorities for our wedding. I used to assist a wedding photographer so I was pretty picky on what I wanted and what I did not want.

Well Joe was great. Starting with our engagement session, where he not only captured the lighting perfectly, but the mood as well. He put together a great online slide show for us and the sign in book he made from the E-Session was awesome!

When it came time for our wedding, he was great, him and his second shooter were awesome. They captured so many great shots. They worked so well with us and were even fun to be around. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day and it was captured excellent. They even kept a rowdy wedding party in line with out being demanding.
They both got excellent candids on the dance floor, captured emotions in the father daughter dance, etc etc. Just great.

Another great thing was by the time I got back from the honeymoon, the proofs were up for online viewing, this was less than two weeks after the wedding!!!
Joe also put together another awesome slide show set to music from the wedding.

Clearly I am impressed with Joe. Many of my guests, who have viewed his posts from the wedding on his website and the proofing site, have already commented on how great his photos are.

I would recommend him to anyone!

Out of 115 wedding guests, 115 people said "Whoa - awesome photos! That guy did a good job!"

My wife and I can't agree more. Not only were the photos stellar, but Joe was a pleasure to work with. From our 2 hour initial meeting with Joe in a coffee shop to our engagement session and everything leading up to and including our big day, Joe was always down-to-earth and always listened fully to our questions and requests. The word "can't" is not in Joe's vocabulary - he aims to shoot your wedding the way YOU want it.

If you want the narrative of your wedding captured well from start to finish, and someone to put you at ease while snapping away, Joe's your guy!

Joe did an amazing job with our wedding! I am so pleased with all the photos. He knew what we were looking for and provided photos that we love. There are so many great photos that my husband and I are having a hard time choosing which ones to select for the album. I would highly recommended Joe to anyone, not only because I love his photos, but he is easy to work with and enthusiastic about what he does. Also, his packages are nicely priced and you can create your own package and pay for exactly what you want. There is no catch with Joe, you get your photos on a disk and they are yours to keep. So many other brides I know were upset because they really didn’t know what they were getting when they hired their photographer. With Joe, he is straightforward and just wants to do a great job! We would highly, highly, highly recommend Joe for anyone looking for a photographer in the greater New York City area. He was absolutely wonderful.
A few reasons behind this recommendation:
1. Joe is friendly and laid back. He always made us feel extremely comfortable.
2. His prices are as reasonable as you will find in the New York area.
3. We got all of our pictures (over 2000) within two weeks of our wedding. Some friends of ours who used a different photographer didn't get theirs for over 3 months.
4. He was very professional and got all the shots that we asked for at the wedding.
5. He always responded promptly and thoroughly to any questions we had, as well as accommodating to our schedules and requests.
6. The pictures he took were amazing. Everyone who has seen them completely agree (one person thought we paid 3-4 times what Joe charges.

If you are debating on who to get as your photographer, just call him up and book. You won't regret it!!!

When we were looking for a photographer, we were looking for someone who wasn't pushy, was laid back, and was affordable. We are So happy we chose Joe Sanfilippo! We were kind of slackers, and waited for the last minute to do everything. Joe was always understanding, and in fact, I didn't send him a list of our group shots until about 12 hours before the wedding! He is so easy to work with, and one of the nicest guys! My husband was always talking about how glad he was that we chose him as our photographer, both before and after the wedding. Our engagement pictures came out great, so we knew we would be in good hands for the wedding!

On our wedding day, he got a ton of great shots! He was always honest if a shot wasn't going to work because of the lighting, and he waited patiently while waiting for our families to gather for pictures. During the reception, we barely saw him, but looking at the hundreds of pictures he was definitely there getting amazing pictures. They really show and relive the memories of our wedding day! In just after 1 week after our wedding, he sent us a link to an online gallery with over 1400 pictures! They were great - I have had so many family and friends say how amazing the pictures are, and how they will definitely keep him in mind when they get married! A few days after that, he sent us a link to an album, which he was very willing to change to get all of the shots that we wanted to include.

I can't believe that we got married less than 3 weeks ago, and have already seen all of our pictures and picked them for an album! I highly recommend Joe Sanfilippo as a wedding photographer!

We used Joe for our engagement photos. We were both super nervous to be in front of the camera but Joe made us so comfortable. We had a great time with him and the pictures turned out AMAZING!!! I would absolutely suggest him to anyone looking for a photographer!

I found Joe by browsing the internet and came across his website. I liked his style immediately and booked him over the phone. Our engagement photos- complimentary with the package-were beautiful. We only imagined he would deliver the same quality and more for the wedding. We were right. He did and absolutely amazing job. The photos were so natural and he captured beautiful memories that we will have forever. Not only is Joe a most talented photographer but he was so incredibly easy to work with. He made sure our wedding day was about what we envisioned. He made the day even more special for us.

I was so happy to get the opportunity to write a review for Joe.

When we first met with joe we knew he was the photographer for our wedding. He was enthusiastic about our plans, and you could tell that he has a true passion for his craft. He didnt try pushing us into anything, and treated us to a great cup of coffee.

We did an engagement session with Joe in central park and my family could not believe how awesome the photos were, we actually used the pictures for our table numbers and everyone loved them! Joe was a pleasure to work with and we had alot of fun! We did feel very uncomfortable at first, because we never did this sort of thing before, but Joe made us very comfortable to the point we forgot a camera was there.

On our wedding day Joe made everything go so smooth with our photos. He made sure we took all of the photos we wanted and he managed to get photos of everything during the reception!! I cannot stress how important candid photos were to me, and boy did we get alot!

After the wedding Joe had our proofs ready for us in one week!! ONE WEEK!! we came back from our honeymoon with an email with a link to our proofs online, he also made a really nice slideshow that i was able to post on facebook. He also made us a beautiful album, He assisted us with selecting photos that he felt worked well in a "storybook" format as he put it, and we LOVED the outcome. We ordered several prints and also parent albums, which all came out fabulous!

I cannot stress to anyone how great a photographer joe is! We cannot recommend Joe enough! If you are getting Married, do yourself a favor and meet with Joe!!

Joe was an important part of our wedding day. From the first time we met him, he was a great partner in the entire process. Joe spent a lot of time finding out exactly what our needs and wants were for the big day. He was willing to make himself available at any time - which was important given our busy schedules.

Joe had a difficult job the day of the wedding - the weather was less than cooperative for our beach reception. Joe was flexible enough to adjust on the fly and get our pictures at the first sign of a break in the weather. (He also came prepared with blankets to stand on and umbrellas to stand under if needed/wanted.) We asked for a more casual/less "posed" style of pictures - and that is exactly what he gave us. We also had asked him to be unobtrusive and to get as many 'action' shots as he could - and that is exactly what he did.

Joe had our proofs available within a couple days of the wedding. Joe's work is of the utmost quality - he has a real gift for catching the right moment at the right time. There were so many great shots to choose from, we have had a hard time narrowing our choices down.

We cannot say enough about Joe or recommend him any more highly. He was the consummate professional and a true pleasure to work with - you will not be disappointed!

Joe did a great job on both our engagement photos and our wedding photos! We looked at many photography sites before selecting him and we were happy we did. He captures portrait shots, detail shots, and action shots beautifully! His personality put us at ease and his experience definitely shows through in his work.
