The absolute best in Idaho

I’ve been using 3 Girls Catering for almost as long as they’ve been in Boise! I wouldn’t use anyone else! They’ve done Christmas parties, farm to forks, grazing boxes, summer events, birthdays, biz events, and most importantly, my wedding! You won’t find a harder working team or a more beautiful and delicious spread. They pay attention to details, their food is inventive and seriously gorgeous! Their team will make your day flow seamlessly and your guests will rave about the food. There’s always more than enough and they’re accommodating of veggie eaters, vegans, gluten free, allergies, etc. Gretchen and Lisa have always gone above and beyond and their servers and chefs are fantastic! Highly Highly recommend for any occasion!!

Absolutely Wonderful Experience

3 Girls Catering catered for my wedding and I only have amazing things to say. They were so helpful in working with us to plan a beautiful meal and appetizer spread that fit our tastes, all dietary needs, and venue restrictions. On top of that, all the staff was so caring and really went the extra mile. As if that wasn’t enough, the food was incredible and beautifully disputed. Seriously, I had guests ask for photos of the grazing table. Thank you to 3 Girls for being a part of our magical day!

We've sampled the food and met them and they are doing our wedding in June! Can't wait! They are great, food tastes awesome and is reasonably priced. Plus they'll even serve our cake for us! We're having a buffet and they will have 3 servers for us.

I can't recommend Gretchen enough! She was so on top of it during the planning process, and even helped us out with a few details that we hadn't considered. The food was spectacular and reflected our hopes for our wedding - we wanted a "family" feel and I loved that Gretchen was willing to serve family style and do a few untraditional menu items! I don't know what else I can say that hasn't already been said in this mass of incredible reviews, but really... just hire her! Our wedding would not have been what it was without Gretchen and her team!

My original in house caterer cancelled just weeks before the wedding, and 3 Girls came in and completely saved the day!! I can't say enough good things about them. The food was delicious of course, but what meant even more to me was their willingness to go above and beyond to fix all the holes left by the previous caterer and make my wedding day perfect. From the menu to linens to extra tables and place settings...Gretchen thought of everything. I was planning from out of state and think I talked to Danielle almost daily going over all the details, she's great! None of my guests had any idea this was all done on short notice. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

They are amazing, and have the best food. They did the food for our wedding we had just this last month in August. They are so easy to work with and will meet your needs.

Planning a wedding from out of town was difficult but they worked with us and our schedule. The food was delicious and arrived on time. Their staff was very friendly and nice and even cut up the cake which we didn't expect.

Wow! We were so happy with 3 Girls as our wedding caterer! They were professional, quick to respond to our questions, friendly, and very knowledgeable. It is also very impressive that they can offer such reasonable prices while sourcing local produce and supporting small farmers (this was a major reason we chose them!). We are still getting compliments about the food, especially the two soups they made for our soup bar. They have excellent vegetarian choices and were even willing to use our favorite family recipe for our meat course. Not only was the food to die for, but the presentation was gorgeous and the staff were top-notch. Since we had been to other successful events they had catered, we had complete faith in their abilities and it was a relief to know catering was one area of our wedding where we didn't have to worry. We will definitely use 3 Girls Catering for any future parties, and I hope to get to use them for my work events, too! Thanks for making our wedding so great!

This event could not have gone any smoother!
Flying in from out of town for a corporate event, I was a little worried at first... 3 girls catering immediately settled my fears. Everything was perfect; This operation is top notch, from quick reply to beautifully presented food. The professional, friendly server Katie, was also a star! Thanks 3 girls!

I loved everything about your service for our wedding!!!! Everyone loved the food! And our desserts looked fantastic! I was too busy visiting and dancing to have one I realized haha but it all was amazing!!!

What a pleasure working with 3 Girls! I described my menu as "just this side of decadent" and it was exactly that and more. The food was insanely delicious and Kelliey was so helpful and flexible with last minute changes.Our server Megan was incredible! Will use 3 Girls again and again!

3 girls basically saved our wedding event. They were able to step in (to replace another caterer) within 2 weeks of our event and had the experience to make everything run smoothly. In addition, we had 140 people RSVP to our event and within a few days of our event I bumped the number to 200. However, nearly 250 people attended and they planned well in portioning the food out during the reception. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future. Their food is always high quality and their presentation and service is exceptional. Thank you!

I can't recommend 3 Girls Catering enough. We were on a tight budget after getting married in Maui, but still wanted to make our reception at home special and worthy of guests traveling around the country to be there. Kelliey was incredible from the start, providing options in terms of pricing & menu, while suggesting great ideas along the way. We went with the 'Affordable Feast' option which allowed me to make the most important selections to put together a fantastic meal while staying within my budget for cost per person. She was incredibly responsive (e.g., late night, early morning emails - never had to wait!), bore with my incessant questions patiently, and also was very flexible as I pulled things on and off the menu. 3 Girls catered to a single nut allergy, vegetarian requests, etc....anything that came up and we needed, they had our back. We decided to do dessert late in the process and they helped me to create an affordable ice cream sundae bar (his & hers) that was out of this world delicious and still very affordable.
The night itself - I didn't have to think of a thing - they handled it all.

In terms of the food - well that was wonderful, too! We especially loved the Vegetable Medley and the Winter Seasonal salad, but all was great.

Thank you, 3 Girls - do not hesitate to call and book them for special event.

We had a wonderful experience working with 3 Girls Catering. Kelliey worked within our budget to create excellent menu options. They handled last minute menu additions seamlessly. The staff at our event were friendly, personable and professional. The food prep was top notch! The food looked and tasted wonderful. We could not have been more please. They made a point to check in with us before they left to see if there was anything else they could do, and they thanked us for choosing them.

3 Girls helped make my wedding spectacular!!

Kelliey worked closely with me from the first step all the way to helping serve at my wedding! That continuity helped me feel extremely confident and so, so well cared for!

Selecting a caterer who would provide excellent food was really important to us in the planning process. My husband and I are both "foodies" who have traveled the world for amazing cuisine. 3 Girls came to us well recommended by wedding professionals and guests who had enjoyed their food at other events. We made a point to sit and eat dinner at our wedding (!!) and were blown away by the beautiful presentation, excellent selection, and yum, yum, yummy taste of our dinner. It was so delicious! We arrived a little too late to get to the appetizers (they went fast!), but Kelliey snagged a few for our end of the night to-go box. We so appreciated those delicious morsels when we got to the hotel that night.

Our guests raved about the food too! We received compliments about the food, the presentation and the service. More than one guest commented it was the best dinner they had had at a wedding!

Speaking of service - so great! The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. But most importantly, they left my mother-in-law's kitchen sparkling clean! :-)

I would wholeheartedly recommend 3 Girls to anyone hosting an event and look forward to hiring them again in the future. Thank you so much!

The wedding got started late (shocker), but the team stayed extra to make sure that my guests had plenty of time to eat their delicious food. They were very accommodating with last minute and off-menu orders. Everyone was great; it was a pleasure to work with the whole team.

I am so pleased that I found and went with 3 Girls Catering for my wedding. Dealing directly with Kelliey felt like I was calling up an Auntie rather than someone I had never met. Her response the 3 times I changed the menu was understanding, encouraging and professional. 3 Girls was more than willing to listen to the kind of menu I was envisioning, offer some tasty suggestions and even used an old family recipe which was really special. 3 Girls were at the event, on time and happy as clams setting up the spread and making sure the wedding party got an early taste ;) I have received so many compliments on the food. "That was the best wedding food, I loved the taco bar idea" "The salsa .. do you think they will share the recipe?" "The food was so fresh and just perfect for the hot temp." I couldn't agree more with our guests and as I look back on the day the food, without a doubt, I would not change one bit! Great experience working with 3 Girls Catering both in the preparation and the day of!

I think it's important to know, that while I consider myself pretty laid back about many things, I am quite particular and I have pretty high standards, especially when it comes to customer service and food. It takes A LOT to knock my socks off. I like fresh, balanced flavors. I look for really good ingredients with really great flavor so you don't have to over-season to make something taste good. I love seeing semi-familiar menu items; things we all love but that are taken one step further than the typical preparation; just a slight twist to make them really special and delicious. 3 Girls does all of this. And they do it really well. And BONUS, all of this delicious food comes with great customer service!

My husband and I planned our Nampa wedding from another state so we relied on reviews to find our vendors... those reviews didn't let us down one bit! 3 Girls Catering was FABULOUS! We have nothing but positive things to say here...

Kelliey, from the get-go, was a gem. She was fun and easy to work with and always quick to respond to my emails. Gretchen was wonderful too! These women really love what they do and it shows in their spirit and in their work. After we signed our contract with 3 Girls we felt excited and grateful to have found them. As time went on and the wedding approached, we commented on how nice it was to be completely confident that our vendors had, thus far, exceeded our expectations so we had no worries about the big day. Our wedding day arrived and we weren't let down; everything went off without a hitch! It was absolutely perfect! And 3 Girls Catering was a big part of making our day worry-free, memorable and sooo delicious!

We cannot express our thanks enough! We wish we could do it again!

The feedback I heard on the food were very positive. The servers were very professional. However, our contract was for 110 people, and we had 90 attend. We ran out of food early and it seemed that the servers were having a difficult time getting the food from the kitchen in expedient manner. Overall I would recommend 3 Girls, but I was disappointed that our guests had to wait for food (I would recommend another server) and also that we ran out of food. I (as the bride) didn't get any food; by the time I could get to it, it was all gone.

Amazing food, great responsiveness, and helpful advice made 3 Girls the perfect caterer! We loved working with these ladies and received tons of compliments on the food (especially the grown up grilled cheese sandwiches)! The caterer was probably the most effortless part for us - 3 Girls was so easy to work with and managed everything wonderfully on the day of the wedding.

3 Girls did an amazing job at our wedding. They were very good about late adds and changes the week of the wedding and extremely good about answering or getting back to me when I called. The food was amazing! We had servers who were very discrete but attentive, everyone present raved about the food and service. Setup and cleanup was provided so we didn't have to worry about anything the day of our wedding. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality service.

3 Girls provided amazing food for our wedding! We got so many complements from our guests. They appeared to have a great staff on site at our reception. My only surprise was that I ordered extra linens for clouding etc on the tables and I really didn't think the presentation was as exciting as I had thought it would be. The linens were simply placed on the tables, not clouded. This was such a small detail it in no way would cause me not to recommend 3 Girls. Amazing food, amazing service and Kelliey was fantastic to work with while planning!

My husband was the one who found 3 girls through a friend and I was mighty impressed by them. The food was amazing and they packaged up the leftovers. My mother in law still talks about their red pepper hummus, DELICIOUS!!

3 Girls Catering was great to work with, everyone loved their food, they were accommodating to our guests independent of our requests. They did start food service a little late, but that might have been a miscommunication on my part. All our guests said they loved the food and even the leftovers were well received. I would recommend these girls to anyone looking for a catering company!

Oh my gosh I love these girls! The food at my wedding was beyond expectation! My guests are still talking about the food (mainly the appetizers and breads) and I got married over 3 weeks ago! I asked them to make my husband and I a little boxed lunch style thing for us to munch on before we went back to our guests (brilliant idea by the way... we got to have a moment to ourselves and weren't starving all night) What I got was amazing. They put in my favorite rose champagne and PBR (they knew my hubby likes the crap beers) home made focaccia breads; buffalo stromboli; caprese skewers; gorgonzola salad with fresh greens, blackberries and their home made dressing; chicken lettuce wraps; edamame hummus & their art dip. It was more than we could eat but it was so perfect. Everything that was on the buffet was my favorite and it was all decorated nicely. Their staff did an amazing job as well, always professional and personable. LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Book them now!

What a fun and fantastic group of people to have catering our wedding! From the very first time 3 Girls walked into our home for the free and FABULOUS tasting we were sold on their warmth, professionalism and deliciousness. Throughout the wedding planning process 3 Girls was available to answer questions and offer helpful advice on food and reception planning. Their food is tasty, the display is awesome and the entire group is personality plus!

These girls are rockstars! Hire them!!! Their food is amazing, their service is fantastic, all the guests LOVE them and their bartenders are kick __! Try the blueberry ginger mojitos as your specialty cocktail, they are delish! All around the best caterers in Idaho!

We hosted a 50th Anniversary Party for about 200 people. We planned the party from 3,500 miles away! 3Girls were able to connect us to Ruth Howard, "the Cake Lady", who baked a terrific, 3 layer cake with beautiful roses and gold trim for an incredibly reasonable price. Our venue, the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho, did not have tables or chairs. 3Girls took care of all of the arriangements with EventRents. We were provided with all of our tables, chairs, dishes, silver, and linens at a very reasonable price. All of our food was delicious and the menu options were wonderful. We had something for everyone and the presentation was beautiful. 3Girls presents an artistic buffet. All of the dishes were delicous and very fresh. The Bar Fly service was a great hit with all of our guests. All of 3Girls' employees were professional, curteous, and a pleasure to work with.
Kelley worked with us to plan our menu and to try to stay within our budget. We were thrilled that our final costs were so close to the planned amounts -- no surprises. This was 3Girls first event at the Warhawk Air Museum. We were made very comfortable by their ability to work with the Museum Staff and their willingness to view the venue and accomodations well in advance of our celebration.
We wholeheartedly recomend 3Girls Catering for any event.

Three Girls Catering was one of my top referral choices based on their quality of food and incredible reputation. Pulling together a wedding in 8 weeks with a bride based in New York was no easy feat but the wedding was wonderful and the catering delicious. Kelliey was incredibly flexible and helpful with the many changes that surfaced along the planning process. Being flexible, a "we will make it happen" attitude and immediate response times made for a wonderful working and planning experience.

The food was displayed beautifully, the service staff polite and professional, and rave reviews from the happy bride, groom and guests made for a great experience and I would recommend 3 Girls Catering to any of my future brides!

Just a note...The Cheese and Fruit platter exceeded my expectations and is well worth the investment! Displayed on beautiful marble with a wonderful variety of cheese, it was perfect!

We had an Asian-Island theme and wanted our menu to compliment our theme. We had a salad, the Pad Thai Noodles, Teriyaki Beef, Satay Chicken, and the Vegetable Fried Rice. Jen and the chef worked with us on our menu and specifically the Pad Thai Noodles. Our meal was not only delicious but had such wonderful and unique flavors! I loved it! We loved! Everything was great and the very big hits were the Pad Thai Noodles and the Teriyaki Beef. They were so easy to work with and helpful and the service was great.

3 Girls catered my wedding last weekend; I worked with Gretchen through the whole process. She was so friendly, so accommodating and made our family-style menu a total dream. She also handled ordering our rentals for us from EventRents of adorable vintage plates and gold flatware, which was so helpful for me since I was planning the wedding from afar. We hired 3 Girls Catering to come to McCall and cater our wedding, buffet style. They were affordable and OMG the food is so delicious!! We were very happy with how it all turned out. They provided 3 different entrees, sides, and even some kids meals that were kept at the end of buffet, clearly labeled so no one would grab them. Throughout dinner, they were very professional and made sure that we as Bride & Groom had everything we needed. At the end of the night, they packed up the leftovers so we could take them home and eat them the next day.

The only thing I'd suggest for improvement is a little bit on communication - this was my first time hiring a caterer, so I didn't know what questions to ask or what to expect. My planner helped me with this part - most importantly, 3 Girls is a little unique from other caterers in that they don't provide tables or linens for their buffet. I didn't realize this, but luckily my planner noticed and we were able to work it out ahead of time. There was also some confusion about serving water for guests - they didn't provide serving (walking around to tables), but they provided a big decanter where guests could go get it themselves.

Working with the business manager, Kelliey was great. Her attention to details was excellent. Her follow up was far enough in advance that I never felt we had been forgotten. The food was top notch, each plate was a work of art, in addition it was delicious! All our guests asked who did the catering. This leads me to my only disappointment, the servers were dressed in street clothes. They really need to have a more professional attire. Even if it was black slacks and a polo shirt with there company logo on the lapel. Overall, we were very,very happy with our experience.

We appreciated their communication and quick responses to all emails and phone calls before the wedding. We did not find this level of responsiveness with other caterers we contacted.The food was excellent and we recieved nothing but compliments from our guests. Their one draw back was we ran out of salad for approximately 10 guests. We reminded them several times that we had a very health conscience guest list and this was a concern of ours before the wedding.

3 Girls Catering has the most delicious food and they were a huge hit at our wedding! When our wedding venue fell through 3 weeks before our big day, Gretchen stepped in at the last minute to save the day. She was very flexible and fun to work with, and her staff were very attentive to our guests during cocktail hour served hors d'oeuvres and dinner service. She even fed our vendor team so we didn't have to worry about it. My only criticism (and this is a good criticism), is that the portions were very large so we were left with a lot of leftovers. I would recommend ordering less food than guests and still feel confident that nobody will go hungry.

The food was wonderful and our guests all agreed. This was a college grad party for our daughter & she wanted a very unique menu with Northwest foods. 3 Girls was very willing to work with us to get exactly want she wanted. It was all great! I had to plan this event from another state, but even with that complication, it all worked out well. The Huckleberry Lemonade, Swedish Filbert Cake, mini-stuffed Potatoes, and grilled salmon & beef were the favorites. Thanks for helping us celebrate!

Our event was fantastic! And I would really like to give 3 Girls Catering a solid 5.0. The food was excellent - definitely a 5.0. The pre-event communications were excellent - absolutely 5.0. This could have been the most perfect, plated/catered dinner ever! Would I recommend 3 Girls Catering? Yes, I would.
However...catering caused our timing to be off by a full hour. The on-site staff did not follow our instructions, creating a 45 minute delay between salad and dinner. Once they began serving dinner, the serving was so slow (they did not have enough servers) that our maid of honor and bridesmaids ended up expressing well over half of the dinners out to our guests. This was an excellent solution and I believe the majority of our guests thought we might have planned this, but we did not. 3 Girls Catering said the kitchen was too small (after the fact), but with the bridesmaids expressing dinners out, the size of the kitchen did not appear to be a problem. If they were staffed correctly, expressing meals would have been accomplished efficiently, and plates would have been cleared, rather than sitting in front of the first guests served for 45 minutes. During a five hour event, an hour is kind of a big deal, and technically, it would have been an even longer delay without the bridesmaids stepping in to help!
Even with the serving problems, I would still recommend 3 Girls Catering because their food is incredible and I believe this was not a problem they typically ever have. 3 Girls Catering was apologetic and immediately refunded the portion of our bill for servers.

I had very mixed feelings about this company. When we were referred, the tasting was fantastic and we were instantly in love. I spent 4 months emailing one girl about particular things. About 3 weeks before the ceremony, I was informed the girl was no longer with the company but reassured it would still be great. Things I had discussed with the first girl and the second we're not implemented and I didn't notice until after the wedding. Tri tip was RARE, not close to medium and more than half went to waste because it was so rare, not including what was left on plates. Chicken was great, veggies were a bit rubbery and thin, potato bar was AMAZING, sliders were 1/2 the size than what we had at the tasting, but good reviews on the spinach/artichoke dip. The gals working did a good job of bussing tables which I greatly appreciated! They left without saying goodbye which I was disappointed in. Lastly, I was under the impression that drinks would be served out of a spout dispenser, not glass buckets with a ladle. Like I said, I'm impartial with them but would not use them again, as they didn't EXCEED my expectations by any means.

3 Girls is a Rip Off

Absolutely the most awful catering experience of our lives! Just about ruined our wedding by running out of food for our guests. Yes, they RAN OUT OF FOOD, so about 10-15 of our guests only received veggies on their plate. The guests that did receive ‘dinner’, got one or two small, thinly sliced pieces of meat. So embarrassing!! And the kicker? Our final count was 75 and we ended up with 66 total so there should’ve been more than enough food for everyone and then some. They were difficult to work with from the very beginning so we should’ve known then and looked elsewhere. Lesson learned. Save yourself the embarrassment and do not hire these people who clearly don’t know what they’re doing. Now asking them to do the right thing and provide a partial refund for the food we paid for and did not receive and the owner will not call us back.

We booked our event 4 months ahead of time and they were initially very helpful to work with our budget. We had pulled pork sandwiches and three real fruit mini pies on our menu: strawberry rhubarb, peach and apple. We expressed concerns early on about the quality of buns and usage of fresh fruit, and were assured it would all be done “without a problem”.

A week before our event we got a call that they never do drop-off catering despite the fact that they wrote it into our contract, and we would have to pay two servers to attend our event. With fewer people attending our event the price went down so we were able to work their two servers into our budget. This was something we weren't obligated to do, but we wanted them to also be happy with our contract. The day before our event Ingrid called again to confirm our menu with no mention of any changes.

The pulled pork was great, but the buns were dry and horrible to the point that most of our guests didn't even take one, and those that did ended up leaving the bun on their plate and eating just the pork. The pies were several flavors of unidentifiable jelly-like substance, not whole chunks of real fruit and none of the flavors written into our contract. When asked about this Ingrid told us that rhubarb is out of season so it was impossible to serve them, despite the fact that she never told us this at any point in our discussions.

We also expressed frustration about the low quality of buns, yet Ingrid argued with us that "They were fresh and yes, room temp" despite the fact that she did not attend our event and I personally had a very cold bun. She also stated "We are pretty certain that even if we went against our own business ethics and reimbursed you for the desserts and buns you would still not use us ever again so having you as a future client is a moot point." We have advised our very large Boise-based family to never hire them for an event due to this level of service, and recommend you do the same.
