We used 27 Studios for upgraded lighting at our Haven Street Ballroom for our December 2019 wedding. The rainfall lighting we selected for over our dancefloor created the entire mood for our industrial modern wedding. It also functionally created just enough light for the dancefloor and assured that lighting for our pictures was sufficient. At first, I underestimated the cost of the light installation, but after I saw how hard the 27 Studios team worked on our wedding day, I totally understand the cost and I assure you it is WORTH IT. The 27 Studios team was among the first to arrive the day of, and worked all morning to string the lights. When it was determined that the lights were hanging a little too low, they went back and shortened all of the strands until the room was right. The exercised careful attention to detail and their work made the room. I am so happy with our decision to hire 27 Studios for our beautiful wedding lighting! -

27 Studios took what was already a cool industrial venue and used lighting and draping to elevate the space with a romantic party vibe. We weren’t entirely sure what we wanted to ask for, but Darren’s familiarity with the American Visionary Art Museum’s various event spaces meant he was able to recommend ideas that helped make our wedding so beautiful. Working with him was such a breeze, and we’d highly recommend 27 Studios for anyone planning a wedding in the Baltimore area! -

27 studios helped us to create a twinkling wonderland of a dance floor with rainfall lights that delighted everyone. They also helped with uplighting around the reception space, and curtains to help separate the many open spaces of The Assembly Room. It helped us create the perfect ambiance. -

I don't know too much about lighting so I knew I had to hire an absolute rockstar to make sure our wedding was well lit. We got married in a museum so it was critical that the lighting was good enough to make it look like a party as opposed to just a bunch of exhibits. We also had outdoor space that we wanted people to be able to enjoy. 27 Studios came up with a whole plan and the final product was so amazingly fantastic. Absolutely recommend them! -

When we booked The Assembly Room, the manager pointed us to 27 Studios for string lighting and draping. We loved TAR so much as-is, and the work that 27 Studios did just brought it to the next level. The space was absolutely breathtaking. We did elevated string lights in the large first floor room, string lights in the smaller first floor room, and draping around the ceremony space. We are overjoyed with how it turned out, and the photos look absolutely incredible. Our guests felt like they were in this magical space with the string lights hanging over them during the ceremony, we received so many compliments! 27 studios is so easy to work with, really great at what they do, and they will not disappoint! -

Darren and his team transformed our wedding venue with bistro lights and up lighting to highlight the beautiful brick walls. It's amazing what a little lighting can do to really make a space look elegant. Darren and his team made everything look great before we even arrived. If you're looking for lighting needs, 27 Studios is affordable and easy to work with! -

Darren and his team do a great job at the services that they provide. I hired them for drapery, uplighting, custom dance floor vinyl and dry ice for my first dance. Everything came out beautiful! Definitely recommend! -

I had a COVID wedding, originally planned for April 2020, then pushed to September 2020, then turned into a vow renewal reception in April 2021. Throughout changing the plan due to COVID, 27Studios was an incredible vendor. They were so flexible, no questions asked, that I think I cried out of joy each time they responded to my emails (and they are super responsive!). We originally had planned to use their services to provide us with pipe and drape, but that was no longer needed when our plans changed. Instead, they easily allowed us to switch that plan to a waterfall lighting plan above our dance floor - incredible!! I caught all my guests staring at the ceiling as if we had the stars indoors for our party (we held our event at Haven Street Ballroom). I was also super busy throughout the day, and when I was able to check out the progress of the space being decorated, I noticed the uplights we rented from them were perfectly placed - without direction from me. I was super pleased by 27Studio's work. Take a look at any picture of "waterfall lights" on instagram or pinterest, and you'll see what it looked like - but mine was the PERFECT version of what you find.
Seriously, why are you even looking elsewhere? Hire 27Studios! Their prices are incredibly - INCREDIBLY - reasonable and fair. Darren and Damian are awesome professionals in the industry, they kept me calm with their responsiveness, always answered my questions, carefully worked with me on a proposal (and another proposal, and another proposal) and if I could do it all again they would 1000% be hired. Awesome vendor for lighting & draping
27 Studios was recommended by our venue for our lighting/draping needs and we could not be happier with the decision to hire them! We worked with Damian from start to finish and he was amazing. After initially speaking with him, we met at the venue to work through the space and what we wanted. I showed him some pictures of the styles I liked & also talked about what I generally liked/didn't like for the space. I was worried about overwhelming or even underwhelming the space with my ideas, but Damian made me feel so comfortable and I knew that the space would look amazing. Ultimately we went with uplighting to highlight the natural brick & a combination of draping and twinkle lights to accent the ceiling cutout. We could not have been happier with the outcome! -

The 27 Studios crew team is top of the line!
Working them them as a wedding planner was both a breeze for myself and for my couples. They're quick responses, flexibility, and eagerness to please really made working with them such a joy. Our custom draping and lighting we had installed by them was beyond perfect as well.
Overall, we had a tremendous experience and I am very much so looking forward to working with them and recommending them for more couples of mine! -

27 Studios provided a A+ experience for my husband and I on our wedding day. The bistro cafe lights were beautiful in the tent at Grey Rock Manor. The Amber colored LED Uplights set the perfect ambience for our elegant yet relaxed reception. I would definitely recommend 27 Studios to anyone looking to create the perfect backdrop for the perfect experience. -

We were married in a barn on our farm and the reception was in a very large tent in the middle of a field, so this wasn’t the average wedding set-up. Darren and his team did everything we asked of them. His office is almost 2 hours from us, but he came out several times to do walkthroughs just to make sure everyone was on the same page. On top of the phenomenal service, their prices were very reasonable! We highly recommend 27 STUDIOS! Thank you Darren! -

I can't begin to tell you how many times my husband and I emailed him for new quotes, questions, suggestions, etc. Ultimately, our day looked just like the vision we imagined and showed to Darren. It was truly magical!! Our gobo was supposed to be on the dance floor, but ended up on the wall~ it looked good though, so no complaints :) This was a great investment, will def use again and recommend to friends!! -

Starr Sent on 07/25/201227 Studios did a wonderful job on my uplighting and monogram for my 7/21/12 wedding at St. Francis Hall in NE Washington, DC. We hired them at the very last moment...For uplighting wasn't a necessity of ours....But there prices were the BEST we had found for uplighting and a monogram. I worked with Darren Fisher and he was always very punctual with his email replies and answered every question we had in reference to our monogram and/or uplighting. Once our wedding day was here and we saw our reception at St. Francis Hall...we were in awww. Everything was beautiful and the uplighting and monogram added a perfect touch!
Unfortunately, after our wedding reception they did forget to pick-up their equipment that nite and St. Francis Hall was going to charge us (the clients) for over-time hours...but they (27 Studios) agreed that it was there responsibility and 27 Studios did handle the over-time charges.
GREAT EXPERIENCE! I would recommed them for your lighting needs for any event!

My husband and I didn’t realize how affordable and the true ambiance that the perfect lighting could add to an event and until he enlightened us on the various lighting options. He was very pleasant and even came out to our wedding venue for a walk-thru where he was able to come up with some great lighting ideas for our venue. We were a little concerned while waiting to approve a gobo monogram design twenty-four hours before our wedding but on the actual day Darren surpassed our expectations with his lighting design. He hit it out of the park with our gobo monogram that he created just the night before. The green up-lighting and pin spot lights, complimented our décor beautifully. Our reception space was transformed into an ethereal dream that evening that we will never forget. He hit it out of the park with the GOBO monogram that he created just the night before. If you want to add that wow factor to that special event I highly recommend 27 Studio. -

Beautiful Work & Great Value
27 Studios does beautiful work! I Darren & Damian executed ceiling draping and uplighting for my corporate holiday event. I sent them inspiration photos and they created something even more spectacular than I ever envisioned. The effect was absolutely beautiful and very reasonably priced! Their team is friendly, polite, and easy to work with. I will definitely be using their services again! -

This vendor provided up-lighting and bistro lighting for our wedding. While pricey, they were extremely easy to work with - they required minimal interaction throughout the process and everything was set up perfectly! -

We had a contract with 27 Studios to do lighting and drapes at our wedding. I was really excited because I saw there work at another wedding and thought it looked beautiful. Just to be clear, their lights and drapes were beautiful at my wedding! However, it was their professionalism and team that fell way below my expectations. The vendors were set to come to my wedding venue at 3pm. 27 Studios was one of the last to arrive at almost 5:30 ( my ceremony was supposed to start at 6 by the way)! This caused a WHOLE lot of issues. For one, my wedding planner almost had to make the decision to completely switch the arrangement of chairs during my ceremony because the drapes for my back drop weren't even up yet. This caused some unneeded stress for me last minute. My wedding was inside and never thought I would have to change my ceremony set up. My guests saw my reception area when they came in even though it wasn't fully set up yet. This was because the drapes that were supposed to hide the reception area weren't up yet. My guest literally saw big huge construction ladders as they were coming in to the venue because they weren't finished putting everything up. Fortunately, we were able to start my wedding on time but there was a lot of conversation about pushing it back 15-20 minutes.
We also had rented a neon light sign from them for our bar at the wedding, but it never showed up even though we paid for it.
We have not heard from this company once since our wedding. Not even to apologize. I would not recommend this vendor to a friend. -

Hiring 27 Studios to handle the draping for our couple's wedding was the ONLY mistake we made during the planning process. The results were absolutely unacceptable.
The draping looked nothing like what was promised or showcased in their portfolio. Instead of creating an elegant, romantic atmosphere, the fabric was sloppily hung, uneven, and sagging. It looked more like sheets hastily thrown over poles than professional event décor. Guests even commented on how cheap and unfinished it appeared. For what we paid, the execution was insulting.
To make matters worse, once confronted, 27 Studios acknowledged their failure and promised to issue a refund check. Weeks later, no check has arrived. They have now completely ghosted me, gnoring emails, texts, and calls. Their lack of professionalism is staggering.
This company not only ruined a key part of the wedding aesthetic but also demonstrated dishonest business practices by failing to follow through on their refund promise. If you’re considering hiring them for your event, don’t. Save yourself the disappointment, stress, and wasted money.
27 Studios is unprofessional, unreliable, and should not be trusted with anyone’s special day.
