  Professional and Kind

  We used 1st Choice Music Services for our ceremony, and they were just wonderful! I had no idea what I wanted for the music, and Barbara was just so helpful and patient. She sent me an entire repertoire of music to choose from, and then made very helpful suggestions. She was amazing.

  Barbara is a dream to work with. She is a wonderful woman who loves her work and creates beautiful music. She guided us through planning the ceremony and cocktail hour music and brought together a team of people who were equally talented and professional, creating a signature wedding event.

  Barbara Hedlund was so great to work with and very responsive! We used an acoustic guitar player through her and he far exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend!!

  Barbara at 1st Choice Music Services is a cellist and performs, but can also help match you with the type of musician that you may be looking for. She works to only set people up with musicians that have been reliable in the past. We ended up not only using 1st Choice Music Services, but also Barbara specifically. She worked with us to help us find music and was highly responsive to any emails or questions that we had. She even called the night before to say that she was looking forward to the wedding the next day. Of all of the people I worked with to help make the wedding day happen, she was by far the best!

  It was very windy and chilly on our wedding day. We had an outdoor wedding. Barbara and the violin player was less then cooperative. We had no control the weather and threatened to leave because of the wind. They were divas who made part of our wedding party stand behind them to block the wind. Then they played the wedding march while my maid of honor walked down the aisle. Although they played good, they played the wrong song and were very uncooperative.

  Her remarks are not accurate. In spite of excessively high winds @ 43 degree temperatures, we stuck it out on the outdoor site for 90 minutes and diligently tried to find solutions to many unexpected, serious problems Mother Nature created. By legal rights & published policies, to which she agreed to in writing, we could have cancelled. So as not to disappoint the bride, we stayed & honored the contract. We drove 200 miles RT to play prelude music and ceremony music agreed to in writing, plus postlude selections until the last row was emptying.
  
  The open pavilion in Southwind Park is risky for outdoor weddings. Everyone hoped it would be a beautiful day, but was the beginning of tornado season & turned very cold & windy. Guests & the wedding party took shelter until the last few minutes before the ceremony. In our long distinguished careers, we’ve not encountered such terrible conditions nor such accusations.
