Wonderful!
Morgan made planning so easy! She was so quick to respond and accommodate our needs. She was extremely helpful in providing recommendations for where everything should go and for hiring other vendors. She is also so kind. There is not a prettier, nicer vendor in Columbia.1208 Washington Place's reply:

This building is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Regardless to how our wedding planner did us wrong; this building made up for it. Trust me when I tell you Stephanie who helped us was so sweet and the absolute BEST!! I will definitely be going there again for my events. The amount we paid was soooo worth it! It was close to $7,000, but that’s because we had it on a Saturday and we had the whole building.1208 Washington Place's reply:

I chose 1208 because it is so stately and beautiful that it requires little else in terms of decorations. This venue was not only gorgeous but also a great, unique space! Between the upstairs ballroom, mezzanine, downstairs ballroom, multilevel outdoor terraces, library, and amazing vault, my guests were gushing at the building all night long. It made for a beautiful venue, and the pictures are gorgeous. It was also in a great location! Due to its central location in downtown, it was close to parking decks, hotels, and places for pre-wedding photos. Working with the staff was a breeze, and they were extremely accommodating whether it was communicating through e-mail, scheduling showings, etc. I am so glad I chose 1208 Washington Place! -

We are having our ceremony and reception here on a Friday so we rented the entire building. Highly recommend! Very friendly and accommodating staff! You will NOT be disappointed! -

This venue & staff is a bride’s worst nightmare! I regret booking here!
Our experience with 1208 Washington was beyond disappointing and extremely stressful, especially after Keily, who was wonderful and accommodating, suddenly left. We were never informed of her departure and were instead left dealing with Morgan & Julie, whose communication was, in our experience, unprofessional, demanding, and completely lacking in customer service.
Morgan was a bride’s worst nightmare. We were repeatedly threatened with cancellation, charged unnecessary fees, and even charged approximately $279 to switch tables after we had repeatedly communicated that we did NOT need their chairs and would handle our own setup. Morgan refused to allow us access to the tables and then charged us to correct a situation we never requested.
The AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK PROPERLY during our wedding, leaving guests — including myself — drenched in sweat. Even worse, one of our guests suffered a seizure, requiring EMS to respond in the middle of our wedding. We were also never provided the emergency contact we were promised.
The building had additional issues with doors and elevators, despite us paying for a fully functional venue. We were also given conflicting information about the revolving doors — first being told they would be repaired, then being told they were simply “for decoration.”
When we attempted to escalate our concerns beyond Morgan and Julie, we were told “it stops with them.” Rick and T.N. Patel, who oversee the property, were also unresponsive to our concerns.
DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE WITHOUT DOING EXTENSIVE RESEARCH. If you have already signed a contract, carefully review your rights and every provision before moving forward.
Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend 1208 Washington or any venue under SEJWAD Hospitality, including Medallion Center Columbia.
