If you are planning a destination wedding, hire Jose and Glambert’s full package. Seriously. I cannot say enough about how much they did for us. From the very beginning, Jose took the time to really get to know us as a couple. He listened to what we wanted, refined our vision off one cluttered mood board, and somehow made it all happen within a budget that other planners told us was impossible. When we reached out to other planners, they flat-out said they couldn’t work with our budget. Jose welcomed us, told us he could “do his magic,” and he absolutely did. What stood out most was how easy he made everything. He picked up on my reactions and emotions so quickly and just knew what I wanted, even when I didn’t outright ask for it. We never had to worry about reaching out to vendors because Jose already had relationships and handled it all. He got us the best DJ (the owner himself came out), hired a photographer that was so good I never felt awkward, vetted flower vendors to make sure we got the best value with the most beautiful arrangements, coordinated transportation, made our seating chart a complete success, answered endless guest questions, and helped nervous family members feel comfortable traveling. There were family members who wouldn’t have made it without his support. He even made sure our own room was upgraded, which meant so much to us. At one point my mother-in-law was stuck at the airport waiting, and when my husband called Jose stressed, he found a solution and made sure she was taken care of. That kind of support is hard to explain unless you experience it. On the wedding day, he completely blew us away. He gave us a private sneak peek of the reception before the guests entered, and I instantly cried because it was beyond anything I could have imagined. He surprised us with extra décor, including a huge statement photo wall, made my dream chandeliers happen when I thought there was no way we could afford them, and when the glittering dance floor I wanted wasn’t in our budget, he surprised us with a monogram floor instead. Every detail felt so elegant, luxurious, and far beyond what we ever expected. One of the best decisions he made for us was hiring a bridal assistant. I would have never thought of that, but it was a total game changer. She made sure I ate, supported me emotionally, ran back to my room multiple times for all the things I forgot (my wedding perfume, garter, details for photos… literally everything lol), and even helped care for our son. Without her, we would have been a mess. What makes Jose different is that he genuinely cares. Planning a wedding is emotional, and he became part planner, part therapist. When life got hard for us, even after announcing our pregnancy and feeling like the wedding might not happen, he never gave up on us or made us feel like it was too much. He kept reminding us that our day mattered and made sure it would be special. He never made us feel like anything was impossible. Even with our ridiculous last-minute requests, he would just tell us he’d “do his magic” and somehow find an option, and it was even better than what we originally wanted. By the end, he felt like family. Our guests were absolutely floored by how beautiful and elegant everything was, and now several people have asked us how we pulled off a destination wedding like that. The truth is: it was Jose and the Glambert team. Without them, it would have been a disaster. I would hire him again and again. Worth every penny.
