ZAARA
About
Zaara unites artisan craftsmanship with the highest quality hand-selected precious & semi-precious gemstones, pearls, and metals to present an array of fine jewelry. Designed and handcrafted in my home studio, each distinctive piece transforms classic materials into wearable contemporary art.
Inspired by the gems themselves, each design from sketch to completion reflects the shape and color of the selected materials. These natural elements are combined in unique ways to create a sophisticated final product. My signature statement pieces: cascading clusters of fine gems perched atop exquisite large gemstone briolette, often extend this idea, creating the illusion that the gems are magically floating, held in place by the force of tendril vines.
Zaara is a name with origins in both Arabic and French that translates to beautiful flower, radiance, and light. My collections are given French names to further connect this influence to my jewelry.
Adorn yourself in a one a kind piece that is meticulously constructed. Superior in quality, I use argentium silver, fine silver, and high karat gold. Please note that all gemstones used in my designs are natural and those that are treated have only permanent industry standard heat treatment and irradiation. I also incorporate Tahitian and South Sea pearls into selected pieces. Unless stated as natural, the pearls used in my jewelry are cultured. I do not use imitation or faux pearls.
Simultaneously bold and elegant, make a lasting impression with my statement jewelry.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER...
I happened to come into jewelry designing by chance, only to realized I was born for it. I began designing and crafting jewelry in 2008. Although being self taught for two years before turning my passion for jewelry designing into a business, where Zaara has launched in 2010, I insisted on being a perfectionist who loves to please myself first so I can eventually bring out the best in my jewelry. I admit perfection is paramount to every piece of my jewelry.
