The Junior League of Little Rock, based in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a historic wedding venue. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 due to its use by various charitable groups since its construction in 1910. Many original fixtures remain throughout the house, from lights to doorknobs. The building’s stately exterior was constructed in the Second Renaissance Revival style, complete with its signature round-topped windows. This venue is ideal for classic, elegant ceremonies and receptions. It is also available to host elopements and rehearsal dinners.
Facilities and Capacity
The Junior League of Little Rock offers couples a choice of six event spaces and can hold celebrations of between 8 and 375 people. In the foyer, guests are greeted with a large, imposing staircase that leads to some of the event rooms. The banquet room on the first floor covers 1,200 square feet and can fit up to 80 seated guests. The ballroom is the largest space, with an area of 4,000 square feet, and can hold 220-375 guests. It features the original maple floor from the building’s initial construction, which is perfect for dancing. A show-stopping Tiffany crystal chandelier that originally hung in New York’s Rainbow Room illuminates this space. Large windows fill the room with natural sunlight. Should a couple choose to rent the ballroom, they also gain access to the kitchen and get-ready room. Other event spaces at this location include the Crystal Room, which can seat 50, and features round oak tables that belonged to one of the building’s previous occupants. The recent addition of an elevator has made this building wheelchair-accessible.
The kitchen on-site at the Junior League of Little Rock is available to couples who rent the ballroom. Their chosen caterers can prepare the cuisine onsite for their convenience. Chairs are available from the building, while the team at this venue can coordinate the setup of furniture. Couples are welcome to choose whatever wedding companies they please, as this venue is open to outside businesses. Rental manager Pam Cyphers offers couples the capacity to have daytime or nighttime events, whatever best fits their schedule.

The Junior League of Little Rock was a great venue choice. It works well for big or smaller events, and Pam, in charge of building rentals, was very nice and helpful. The beautiful, historic ballroom doesn’t need a lot of decor, saving effort and money. A bridal suite is included to get ready when renting the ballroom. We held our wedding ceremony and reception there, and it worked smoothly. We were very happy with our choice!Sent on 09/30/2019
