When we had to switch our venue a couple months before our wedding due to COVID, we ended up at Water Oak Manor. The house and grounds are stunning and Susan and her team are an absolute dream to work with!

Susan and George are a delight to work with during the planning stages and the weekend of the wedding. The venue is beautiful and well kept, a perfect place for a wedding. Susan took the time to get to know us and learn exactly what we wanted and what our budget entailed. There were some things we wanted done a bit differently for our wedding and she helped us include them and create a beautiful ceremony that flowed into a perfect cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. The home is beautiful during the day and spectacular at night. She and George were always available to answer questions and work with us throughout the planning.

Susan also provided our flowers and they were gorgeous, exactly what we envisioned. She discussed our ideas for food and recommended several caterers and cake folks but pointed out which one of each she thought would best fit with us. We interviewed all of them and she was absolutely right with her first recommendation.

The weekend of the wedding she made the venue available for us to begin bringing things in on Thursday and always opened Water Oak to us whenever we dropped by to drop something off or just to check on the preparations. Her staff is amazing during the event, very attentive yet virtually invisible.

We had the wedding and reception we envisioned and have made two friends for life in George and Susan. Thank you both for everything.

Susan and her husband do a wonderful job maintaining the charm and character of this old home. Susan is an artist and everything that she puts together is beautiful and stunning. Her ideas are one of a kind.
Susan's flexibility the week and day of the wedding for set-up and preparation truly makes this venue special. She wants all of her brides to enjoy there day and not worry about time. The ability to hire your own caterer and provide your own beer and wine helps cut down on cost, but also allows you to have more choices and options. With other local reception venues, the caterers were pre selected for you, and didn't allow for much variety.
