Nestled in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Villa de San Rafael stands as a testament to timeless elegance and contemporary luxury.
This iconic estate is under new ownership as of April 2024 and has undergone extensive design and amenity updates so that the property's original charm now blends seamlessly with modern comforts.
The Villa is rich in character and features commissioned artwork, stained glass windows and incredible architectural details including marble staircases and a 20' stained glass dome in the casita.
Facilities
Sitting on one acre of private land, Villa de San Rafael has beautiful grounds and multiple options for ceremony and reception layouts.
The 3,500sf main villa features dining, sleeping, and living quarters. With stained glass, marble flooring, and exquisite marble stairways, this home offers both simplicity and elegance in its luxurious spaces.
Couples looking for a "wedding weekend" can also choose to stay overnight at the villa, which comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests in 6 bedrooms (4 bedrooms in the main house and 2 bedrooms in the casita).
The 2,000sf casita is equally impressive, with a domed, stained glass ceiling, allowing natural light to emanate vibrantly into the room. The casita's game room, complete with a pool table, arcade games and Xbox, would make an excellent place for groomsmen to gather before your ceremony!
Villa de San Rafael is available as a site rental and overnight accommodations space only, but we will happily connect you with our preferred vendors for rentals, catering and more.
Please note, the fountain in the front yard is for display only and is not operational. The back yard fountain and casita fountain are operational.
Local ordinances require events (and noise) to end by 10:00pm.

Exceptional Experience
Do NOT book!
Upon learning that I had an “event”, a vow renewal, the owner tacked on an extra 1000 fee. Nothing extra was added on my end (guests etc) NOR on their end. This is ludicrous to me.
I’m sure the venue is gorgeous but the owners will try their hardest to capitalize on you and your event. I would look elsewhere.
