The Historic Union Pacific Dining Lodge is a West Yellowstone, Montana, classic venue for one-of-a-kind wedding celebrations. Built out of locally sourced pine and rhyolite stone, the bold and beautiful event spaces are perfect for celebrations with a rustic, earthy feel. High-ceilinged yet homey, the Union Pacific Dining Lodge is ready for your sweet and intimate "I dos."
Facilities and Capacity
The Union Pacific Dining Lodge is a large facility with a superb selection of event spaces and room for up to 300 guests. The Mammoth Room welcomes all your loved ones into the grandeur of its floor-to-ceiling windows and a magnificent 15-foot-high fireplace ready to act as your altar. As soon as the vows are said and done, your friends and family can make their way to the courtyard, where a lush lawn awaits an afternoon of fun, thrill, and flowing champagne. This celebratory space also features plenty of room for cocktail tables and grazing stations, where your guests can mingle and munch away on post-ceremony snacks. Once the clock strikes party time, you and your nearest and dearest can retreat to the Firehole Room, where an evening of unending delight awaits. Complete with a historic bar, a warm, cozy fireplace, and floor space for dining and dancing, this ballroom is built for nights never forgotten. The industrial-size kitchen is also available for your use, filling your feast with the freshest food and drink.

The Union Pacific team is your rock from start to finish. The venue is equipped with the foundation you need for your extravaganza; glassware, flatware, plates, 5' and 6' round tables, 6' and 8' rectangle tables and white folding contour chairs. Audio equipment is available for your use. The fireplace/s add a cozy ambiance and our staff are ready to light them up for you!

Rustic Chic
The venue itself is huge, definitely can fit a wedding of over 400 but our wedding was 150ish and we felt cozy but not swimming in the venue. In the larger room there is a huge fireplace that you can have going. Additionally, there is a smaller room (the Firehole) that we used for cocktails and has a bar area and another fireplace.
Additional items to note: cute little bridal suite, huge kitchen with everything your caterer needs, almost every type of glasses for the bar (we brought mason jars for beers). Also, all the tables and chairs are provided, including cocktail tables. Rentals are where they get you! So this was perfect for our budget.
The pricing includes 48 hours of use, so we used the venue for the rehearsal dinner too. The staff are easy to work with and will make sure you have everything you need!
The only con is that the venue is not insulated. It's an old building and has a few heaters but we also brought our own electric heaters. We had our wedding on Sept 28 and it snowed and was 30 degrees most of the weekend. But surprisingly we were not cold at all :)

Truly one of the most unique wedding venues around. This place has incredible history and a perfect location for an excursion to Yellowstone National Park. Their main hall is massive....like half a football field in size! You could feed an army on one end and not move any tables for the dance after. The crown jewel though is the immense fireplace at the end of the main hall. You can literally walk into it! Worth a visit just to see the amazing engineering it must have taken to build.
