The Village & The Village Farm are two wedding venues located in downtown Kearney and just outside of Gibbon, Nebraska, respectively. Both of these event centers are designed for couples to experience a luxurious and all-inclusive weekend of festivities as opposed to a “one day rush”. Offering comprehensive packages and two breathtaking historic properties, these venues are ideal settings for dreamy celebrations of every style and size.
Facilities and Capacity
Originally built in 1940, The Village sits in the heart of Kearney in a restored and renovated community hall. This charming building is rich in history and can accommodate up to 299 guests in its spacious interior. The banquet hall features exposed beams, some of which are charred from a 1940 fire, brick walls, a sparkling chandelier, and wood ceiling tresses. String market lighting is also draped from steel beams to lend the room a romantic ambiance. The space comes with a fully equipped prep kitchen, ADA accessible and unisex bathrooms, and a baby changing station. Upstairs, a get-ready suite includes two queen beds, a kitchenette, a shower, a washing machine and dryer, and numerous mirrors and outlets. For soon-to-be-newlyweds who prefer a more rustic setting for their wedding, The Village Farm is available on the outskirts of nearby Gibbon. Nestled next to the Wood River, this 10-acre farmstead welcomes visitors to its custom-built, 100x100-foot pergola, multiple outdoor ceremony sites, and vintage barn. This classic red pavilion was constructed in 1911 and boasts hardwood floors, beams that crisscross the ceiling, an elegant crystal chandelier, and a built-in bar. A farmhouse is situated close by for getting ready with the wedding party and socializing with friends and family.
Weekend rentals of The Village & The Village Farm begin on Thursday morning and last through Sunday afternoon. This three-and-a-half-day booking gives couples and their loved ones plenty of time for setup, the rehearsal dinner, the main event, a day-after brunch, and cleanup. Packages come with up to 250 chairs, banquet tables, linens in a variety of colors, a projector and TV, a sound system, and parking. Bar services are provided by the venue, which include custom craft cocktails, premium brand liquors, and an experienced bartender. Additional items such as DJs, officiants, and centerpiece and arbor rentals are also available.

So personable and reliable
Morgan and Ryan were so helpful! They easily helped when I had to pivot a couple days before my wedding day, to help me hold my wedding indoors! They easily altered everything so I could have my ceremony and reception in one place. I seriously appreciated not having to worry that day anymore. 10/10 recommend.Sent on 03/13/2021

I could not be more pleased with this venue! The amenities that come with the venue is a brides dream. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, (requires little to no decorations) the staff members are wonderful to work with! I would highly recommend this to anyone on a budget as you can do so much there. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, dance, and Sunday brunch here. The bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite and my husband and I stayed the night after the wedding. We were also able to make all of our own food which was another cost saver for us! OUR guest were even pleased with the entire facility and staff and we still receive compliments about our wedding!Sent on 03/18/2021

Team of The Village & The Village Farm
In April of 2019, with some answered prayer and a leap of faith, Alissa bought what was once a run-down building. After months of hard work (did you know that Alissa made the magnificent chandelier hanging in the middle of the banquet hall??) and hours of toil and passion, the doors to The Village opened; Alissa juggles all the pieces it takes to run a business. Along with the support and help of her family, Alissa continues to build The Village and The Farm to serve the community, bring people together, and help create lasting memories.
Event, Venue and Marketing Manager
Farm lover, passion chaser, and driven, Morgan serves as the Event, Venue, and Marketing Manager with The Village. Originally from Colorado, this gal drove 5 hours East for college at UNK and fell in love with the community, small town feel, and overall charm of Nebraska (hey, Nebraska is for some people!). Feeling a longing and a purpose for gathering people together, Morgan joined Alissa in the event venue world; she prays that with every event hosted at The Village and The Farm, those that occupy the space will feel loved, cherished, and enjoy the life they have been given together.
You've probably seen him behind the bar at an event. Ryan, the Bar Manager, has been in the alcohol business for many years -- selling, delivering, and mixing. Now, he takes delight in serving those who walk through the doors of The Village, greeting them with a smile and offering a specialty drink (probably one he made up himself) or a good ol' fashion can of beer.
