Perhaps the most underrated band there ever was! My husband and I wanted an Island/Underwater wedding theme and I knew I wanted a reggae band. We got engaged in Dewey Beach and went to the Rusty Rudder afterwards for drinks and dancing. While listening to the band that plays there every summer (The Island Boyz) I had wondered if they did weddings. We spoke to them after and they said they would be happy to do our wedding the following summer in DC.

We were so excited! While our party planner had doubts about them because they were very hard to get a hold of, I knew it would work out. We would e-mail and call them and sometimes we wouldn't hear back, but we had a contract with each other so I was not worried. Finally we heard back and the day of the wedding they were better than I had ever heard them. Some of the band lives on the Islands, and the lead singer Owen does cruises during the winter, so it is a bit hard to get ahold of them. However it is so worth it, I have never seen so many people dance at a wedding. They got everyone up dancing. They played all of our favorite songs and were so fun and just awesome to have there! They were unbelievably reasonable for the performance they give. It was so special to have them there I wouldn't have wanted any other band or DJ. We still go back to the Rudder to see them and they are always as sweet as can be and they play our song for us when we go :) They should be much more well known than they are and if you want reggae and steel drums at your wedding please please please give them a try! if you really have trouble getting ahold of them, call the rusty rudder in dewey beach, DE.....it's worth it i promise!!!!!
