secluded forest, this pre–Civil War landmark is the oldest home in Cedar
County—an enduring symbol of resilience and beauty for more than 170
years.

Originally owned by the prominent Hoff Family—newspaper publishers,
congressmen, lawyers, and Union Civil War veterans—the home has
witnessed some of Missouri’s most defining moments. During the Civil War,
Union generals occupied the property while many neighboring homes were
lost in the Kansas–Missouri border conflicts to infamous “bushwhackers.”
Through each era, The Hoff House remained a pillar of strength, passing
through only four families across nearly two centuries.

Meet The Lady of The House - Kendra Jones Morris

Has spent more than two decades living and working across the American
South, giving her a deep understanding of true Southern hospitality and what it
takes to host a beautiful, memorable celebration. After decades in the wedding
industry as both a photographer and filmmaker, she is thrilled to bring that same
elevated standard of service and storytelling to her hometown of Lake Stockton.

Beyond weddings and events, Kendra has produced and starred in films
featured on major platforms including Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. Her creative
career also includes launching a private body-scrub line, which earned national
attention when it was featured in the Emmy® celebrity goodie bags. Her work
has taken her around the world, collaborating with presidents of developing
nations to promote tourism and contributing her expertise within the housing
industry.

Kendra now brings this rich and varied background—creative, global, and

deeply rooted in hospitality—to every event she curates. Her mission is simple:
to craft a day that is as meaningful, glamorous, and unforgettable as the people
she creates it for.

She splits her time between New Orleans and the family farm in Stockton, MO
with her husband and two children.
