The Gambrel Barn is a new barn built to look like it has been standing for a long time. Reclaimed wood adds warmth, the aged corrugated tin creates depth and a setting overlooking a valley makes The Gambrel Barn a country venue for every season... we are a climate controlled barn thus can accommodate indoor & outdoor weddings, receptions, parties, and other events every day of the year! We are conveniently located halfway between Springfield and Joplin, approximately 10 miles north of Monett, 8 miles south of Mt. Vernon, and 3 miles east of Freistatt. The Gambrel Barn provides over 5000 sq feet for indoor weddings, receptions and gatherings. The main barn space also has a three-sided balcony for upstairs seating/dining/etc. The Gambrel Barn is comprised of three sections, all able to be connected through sliding doors on each side. If using the main barn and the Harvest Room, we can seat up to 400 people. The Gambrel Barn also has an open air "pole barn" lean-to that provides an additional 2100 sq feet for outdoor needs and receptions. Whether getting married indoors or outdoors, hosting a reception, a banquet, or holiday gathering - we will be here to assist your every need!

There is also an outdoor ceremony area for those of you wanting to get married outdoors and have the barn ready for the reception following! There is a 10x20ft wooden pergola, 22 wooden split log benches and an extra concrete pad for additional chairs. There is a concrete walkway all the way to the pergola from the barn and beautiful landscaping. Unlike many other venues, our location is set on our family farm, providing a quiet and serene setting with only a view of nature... nothing else.

We provide white tables and chairs for 300 people and ask that any bride who uses The Gambrel Barn leave a piece of décor behind for the Something Borrowed Room. This will allow décor to be used for future brides thus decreasing costs even further for all who use the barn! Weddings at The Gambrel Barn are designed to reduce the amount of stress caused by all the wedding planning.

The Barn has a salon styled Bride's Dressing Room with private rest room, a barber shop inspired Groom's Room with private rest room, Full Kitchen (refrigerator, stove, sinks), 3 sided Loft Space for additional seating, and the outdoor covered lean-to space.

Outside catering is welcome but I do have a list of local caterers to assist you in your search if you need it.
