About

Positioned on Salt Lake City's center block, known as Temple Square, the spires of the Salt Lake Temple rise amid downtown high-rises and super malls. Sharing the block are the North Visitors' Center and South Visitors' Center; the Tabernacle, home of the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir; and the Gothic-style Assembly Hall. East of the temple is the masterfully landscaped Main Street Plaza, complete with reflecting pool. Beyond the plaza is the Church's world headquarters, known as the Church Office Building, and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building—a multipurpose Church building, which has become a popular wedding event center. The Church's Conference Center, an architectural masterpiece, lies directly north of the temple. Every holiday season, Temple Square is transformed into a highly popular display of hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights.

I wanted to get married at the Salt Lake Temple since I was a child and I am so grateful I was able to reach my goal. The temple is such a beautiful building and our ceremony was absolutely perfect. Everyone there was very helpful and even though there were tons of other brides getting married there that day I didn't feel like my wedding was any less special because of the care I received.

Couldn't be happier! Everything was great, and handled for us. Very stress free, and an easy way to plan a ceremony.

Goes without saying, the best place on earth to be married. Everyone there was determined to make us feel relaxed and stress-free even though we were running very late and all the guests were waiting. They were so kind and considerate, it was heavenly. Glad to have had time to book well in advance, especially for such a popular season. Obviously no charge as a religious ordinance for those who qualify as temple-worthy, active members of the church.

Everyone was respectful, kind, the most beautiful ceremony I've ever heard (and not just because I'm biased!).

Absolutely wonderful. Everyone participating was so helpful and reverent. I didn't have to pay anything because it is a religious ordinance. The building itself is magnificent. Our officiant was qualified and took just the right amount of time for the ceremony

The temple was beautiful, as I'm sure you can guess. We didn't know any of the sealers, and our sealer was great. The grounds were beautiful, the workers were very helpful, and it was, by far, the most important part of our whole wedding.

I love the temple, and am very glad that we were married there.
