I'm not sure if there are enough words to describe how wonderful Karin and Roger Doolin are, but I will try my best because these two deserve it!!! I first fell in love with TenSixteen photography after seeing my friends STUNNING wedding photos. Since I was a part of her wedding party, I also had a glance of the Doolin's warm personalities (Karin's infectious laugh will surely put a smile on your face!) I knew I would have them photograph my wedding someday! The day finally came, except now I live in Colorado. Traveling so far was a lot to ask of Karin and Roger, but they were more than willing to pack up their truck and camper and head west! From our entire wedding planning process, hiring these two was the best decision we made!! We met with the two of them at their home several months before the wedding. We discussed options and packages, and they were very thorough about what to expect throughout the process. Their openness and lightheartedness made us feel like we were sitting with old friends! We immediately felt comfortable with them, which I think is so important to feel when hiring a photographer! We decided that we would love to have some photos taken on top of a mountain, which would have put us in a tight time frame the day of the wedding. Karin and Roger suggested we do a "first look" photo shoot a few days before the wedding. This idea seemed strange to others, but for us it made perfect sense and we can't thank them enough for suggesting it! We drove up to redrocks amphitheater and had our first look shoot, followed by a long drive up to the top of Mt. Evans for more photos. The photos taken that day are so beautiful, I cannot even believe that it is us in them. It was windy and cold, (and sometimes scary walking in my heels) but these two made us feel like rock stars! They truly have such a creative eye, and knew how to work with the changing light and surroundings. I am still blown away every time I look at these photos! Our day spent in the mountains with the Doolins is one we will never forget!! A few days later was the big day! You would think these two would be sick of seeing our faces by then, but they were there to capture all of our special moments with smiles on their faces! I'm usually a go with flow type of person, and sometimes that can be a challenge during important events. Karin not only was there to photograph, but I swear she helped keep my head on straight! We had several family members to photograph with after the ceremony, and these two worked through those photos fast and efficiently! They are so organized and on the ball, and also incredibly cheerful which makes the experience much more delightful! My husband and I tend to be a bit awkward in front of the camera, but Karin and Roger made us look and feel so relaxed and beautiful. The compliments I have received from friends, family, acquaintances, and clients usually start along the lines of "YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS ARE INCREDIBLE!!!" 6 months later and I'm still hearing about my photos! Our wedding was a surreal experience, and having such wonderful photos to look back on together means the world to my husband and I. That being said, the friendship we gained in Karin and Roger has been the best thing to have come out of our wedding (other than you know... us being married!) We know if you hire TenSixteen, you will understand exactly what we mean! Whether you are planning a wedding in Missouri, Colorado or anywhere in between, TenSixteen will more than exceed your expectations!!

In case you can tell by their beautiful pictures, these photographers are absolutely phenomenal. They are easy to work with, punctual, friendly and really do care about you as a couple. They form relationships with almost all of their clients and are just so fun to work with. My husband and I just got married on March 17, 2012 and we absolutely love ALL of the pictures that they have taken....we definitely picked the right photographer to capture our special day and now we will have their beautiful pictures to take us through the rest of our life. We got married in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and had a wonderful experience with TenSixteen! They were professional and fun. They scoped out the beach and resort before the wedding day, finding some awesome spots for pics on the actual day. They captured every detail of the entire day and we could not have asked for better pictures and memories of our special day! I highly recommend them!!

Karin & Roger were fabulous! We had a destination wedding in Destin, FL and then a reception back home in Illinois. They took amazing pictures and put together a breathtaking slideshow for our reception. I feel like we made two wonderful friends in the process! Karin & Roger are amazing photographers that are so unbelievably talented and LOVE what they do for a living. Without a doubt one of the best photographers that I have seen. My husband and I have numerous pictures all over our house from our engagment and wedding. It is amazing how they can truly depict a couples love story through their photography. I still love going on to their website to check out other weddings that they have recently photographed.
