I'm Becca, and I created Stir Photography to celebrate and honor down-to-earth people during the most important and memorable adventures of their lives.
My photography style focuses on capturing honest emotion, and seeking to accurately reflect the heart and soul of my subjects in still-frame form.
I approach weddings, and all professional and personal interactions, with respect and admiration for their human element. I take time getting to know a couple and their needs, expectations, and dreams for their wedding, and I also love getting to know their family and close friends. Connecting to the people I work with helps me take better photographs, but it also contributes to the quality of the experience for everyone involved. Celebrating people is the entire basis of my profession, and it is my very favorite part.
My favorite weddings to shoot are the kind where a couple's love is obvious and the wedding is just a big, beautiful excuse to have fun with family and friends- be that via a tiny elopement on a mountaintop, a low-key, intimate ceremony with only your closest relatives, or an expansive party full of people who matter to you from every era of your life.

Becca was amazing!
This experience was better than I ever could have imagined!! Our wedding was slightly hectic:) (I did everything including food.) Becca could not have been more flexible. She went with the flow at every turn and captured our whole day with candid precision.
Looking over photos my husband and I laughed and laughed. She truly captured the whole story of our wedding day. We hardly knew she was there, yet she became a part of the family. I’m pretty sure she had a conversation with everyone in attendance! Becca truly made her mark!
Group photos were completely painless, quick, and turned out amazing!

Simply the best!
Becca shot our small, intimate, outdoor wedding in early October in Northern Minnesota during a global pandemic. Up in the north woods, any outdoor plans can change in the blink of an eye. Becca was ready for anything and transitioned us seamlessly from one shot to the next through changing temperatures and light conditions. She even had to improvise when we threw at her a surprise change in reception location where there wasn’t much room for her to photograph amidst dense vegetation by a creek. Flexibility, check! I also have never been more comfortable with someone taking my picture...She was incredible at conversing and working with us and our family members while maintaining a calming and inviting presence. Not only was she amazing at connecting with folks and making them feel valued, but she also produced phenomenal portraits at the same time. Charisma and professionalism, check! Becca went above and beyond our expectations by capturing more types and styles of images than we had imagined. She is creative behind the lens and knows how to bring to life what is in her mind’s eye. Talent, check! Finally, she delivered us our images in a timely manner—fully organized and edited. Becca is the best wedding photographer you will find. Period.Sent on 01/13/2021

Becca was so professional, welcoming, and fun. It was an honor to have her photograph our intimate wedding. She engaged our guests in a way that captured such amazing portraits that really captured their personalities. She has an amazing eye for composition, color, expressions- everything! We were able to enjoy the process of taking photos and have incredible photos to look back on that make me feel like I am there again.Sent on 01/15/2021
Team of Stir Photography
I'm Becca- I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and besides being a photographer for most of my life, I've held a variety of jobs including being a botany ranger and firefighter for the US Forest Service, a ski instructor, an artist model, a gardener, a bouncer, and even had a pretty surreal gig in New Zealand that involved the holy trinity of chainsaws, mountains, and helicopters.
I play guitar, paint with acrylics, cook a lot, and love to write. I really enjoy camping, climbing, rafting, canoeing, travel, hiking, running, yoga, skiing, ballroom dancing, roadtrips, and people.
When I'm not having adventures or seeing friends, I'm hanging out with my wonderful parents, siblings, and two nephews.
