Steel The Show is an entertainment company based in Savannah, Georgia. It specializes in providing live music for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and rehearsal dinners with the use of steel drums. Melvin Dean, the owner and the pan player, has been a member of different bands for over 25 years, developing his skills along the way. With his extensive experience in music, he makes sure to provide an unforgettable experience with the use of background tracks.

Services Offered
Steel The Show can perform Caribbean and reggae songs with instrumentals and vocals to give couples and guests a remarkable and fun wedding experience. Melvin is willing to travel to destination wedding venues, and offers wedding packages at several price points. He can play during ceremonies, receptions, cocktail hours, and/or rehearsal dinners, as well as during breaks. Melvin provides his own sound system.

Steel toe stiletto

The band was beyond amazing —the vocals were fabulous and the playlist perfect in every way. Every guest commented positively and many said that the band was the best they had ever experienced at a wedding .

Tybee Island Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony and Party

We recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony on the Tybee beach by the lighthouse (as the sun set on December 6th), followed by a 40 guest party and celebration at the Tybee Guardhouse. Melvin Dean (Steel The Show) provided the music on the beach - "Acoustic Steel the Show" - before, during and after the ceremony. He was fantastic and provided the perfect accompaniment to a heartfelt ceremony.

As we moved to the Guardhouse, Melvin's full Steel The Show accompaniment was, once again, the ideal background to getting our party started throughout our extended cocktail hour.

Melvin and his music helped in making our event extra special and very worthy of a 5-star rating and BIG recommendation.

Thanks, Melvin. You stole the show!

Steel The Show is the Best!

Melvin did a fantastic job playing for our morning after Bridal Brunch. He showed up on time and was set up ready to go when promised, played through the entire event, had excellent song selections, and set the right atmosphere for the entire event. I heartily recommend him to anyone. He was very professional and courteous, and very reasonably priced.

Steel the Show was the perfect touch to the cocktail hour of our Savannah wedding! Melvin Dean has the kindest heart, and he was so much fun to work with before the wedding...not to mention he is so talented! My guests loved dancing to the drums, and it set the scene for an amazingly fun evening. If you want your guests to have a blast, definitely hire Melvin and Steel the Show!

Mr. Melvin Dean, Steel The Show, was professional, prompt, very entertaining, and added a special touch to my daughter's wedding reception. He surpassed our expectations, and I would definitely recommend him for your party, reception, or any event that you want to "wow" your guests! Working with Mr. Dean was a true pleasure, and he was definitely one of the highlights of the evening!
