We couldn’t have been happier with Jesus as the officiant for our wedding. His ability to fluently blend English and Spanish elements made the ceremony a beautiful memory for our families. The Belvedere and Co. recommended Jesus as one of their preferred venders and we knew from our first Zoom meeting that he was perfect for our special day. Everything about our ceremony went exactly as we planned and we have no doubt that Jesus Rivera is a great choice to officiate anyone’s wedding at the Belvedere or elsewhere.

On the wedding day our bilingual (Spanish) ceremony was perfectly executed by Jesus. His wife Leigh was a great professional that helped develop the best ceremony we could ever imagine. We loved loved LOVED Rev. Jesús Rivera! He was PERFECT, exactly what we were looking for in a minister. He was so warm and friendly (as was his wife, Leigh) and was so funny and insightful during our ceremony. Reverand Jesus was absolutely fantastic. I nearly cried after speaking to him for the first time. My fiance and I found the officiant searching process to be the most difficult of all our wedding planning. We didn't just want some random person marrying us. We wanted someone who would make it feel personal for everyone who was present. When we spoke to Reverand Jesus for the first time, we knew he was the one.

I had been in touch with Reverand Jesus by email first. We conducted a very meaningful interview over the phone due to our schedules. It was great to see that he was willing to be flexible. Not what I can say for others. The interview served as a kind of crash course in the getting to know each other, and it went so well. My fiance and I even learned a lot about ourselves during that call.

Reverand Jesus and I also had a cultural connection. It immediately bonded us that we were both Puerto Rican, but he made sure not to make my fiance feel excluded. My fiance and I were also not practicing religion, although i was raised Catholic. That also didn't cause any awkwardness. If anything, talking to Rev. Jesus made us think about going back to church.

The Ceremony was perfect. The rehearsal made us very well prepared and Rev. Jesus did such an amazing job getting our parents involved, our guests involved, honoring those who couldn't be with us or passed, and in general making the ceremony feel INCREDIBLY personal. We had some religious aspects, but not too much for those who did not practice at all. Rev. Jesus even opened with a greeting in Spanish for my family.

Rev. Jesus was a great person to have involved in our wedding. He was professional, courteous, understanding, and kind. We accomplished all that needed to be done before our wedding in a very timely manner. We felt blessed to have him.

Jesus was amazing and wonderful to work with! He is a kind and caring man, and was very supportive of us throughout the process. He added a few personal touches to our ceremony that we really enjoyed! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a bit of a religious touch to an ceremony performed outside of the church.

During our first meeting with Jesus we were thoroughly impressed and left feeling comfortable and confident with hiring him as our officiant. However, on the day of the wedding and following I have not felt the same confidence I did on that first day.

Frankly, he was the most expensive officiant we interviewed, and for that premium we expected an elevated level of service. We expected to feel important and taken care of, however we were left feeling simply like a client.

To cut to the point, on the day of the wedding he showed up only minutes before the ceremony. I expected he would arrive 30 minutes early (minimum), and ideally one hour ahead of time. he left us in a panic and deeply concerned just moments before our wedding.

The dj was left frustrated wondering where he was, Our wedding party was confused how to proceed expecting a few words of guidance before the ceremony, and I was left terribly stressed.

At our ceremony he accidentally mistook my wife's name for our friend's. This is an honest mistake but one he would likely not have made if he were on time, better knew us, and taken his role more seriously.

At our reception he simply ate his meal and left early leaving us to believe his interest was in a free meal and not in celebrating the union of two people.

Lastly, days after the ceremony I needed to follow up and confirm our marriage license was in fact sent to the Fredrick County Clerk's office. A role of the officiant.

When confronted about these issues he ignored them all and left them unaddressed.
