To all you future brides out there.... I was one of their wedding clients when they first started shooting weddings. I think Harold told me we were their 8th wedding or so and at one point their largest with about 350 guests in attendance (not sure if we still are). First, we had our engagement shoot which came out amazing and my Husband hates taking photos! Because of this, when I received my CD I was really expecting, you know, a few "good ones" some "great ones" and then whatever was left. Boy was I surprised! Every picture was great!! Then I had my bridal portraits where they captured the "Vintage feel" I asked for and gave me yet another set of stunning pictures! On our wedding day they yet again delivered from the posed bridesmaid/groomsmen photos to all of the candid shots. My Husband & I were overjoyed at all the beautiful memories they captured for us that we have continued to use them over the last 4 years! To date, we have had 11 different Shoots and one more scheduled this fall! These shoots include Engagement, Bridal, Wedding, Maternity, Newborn, 3 Month, 6 Month, 9 Month, 1 year, 2 year, & now 3 year old portraits and fall family minis. I could not tell you how many great things I could say about them. I literally have hundreds of amazing photos from them. They are professional, courteous, and a perfect team! During a shoot, they are both creative and make you feel completely comfortable the entire time! They know how to get the results wanted by their client and always make sure each and every detail being captured is absolutely perfect! Not to mention, I think Janie is a baby/toddler whisperer (future?!)! Bottom line...HAROLD & JANIE PRODUCE AMAZING RESULTS EACH AND EVERY TIME! They are truly great people that love what they do and it shows! I tell everyone I know looking for a photographer to call them and I know if you book them for your wedding you will NOT be disappointed!!

I am so glad I was able to book Special Moments. Harold and Janie are amazing photographers, and working with them was fun and easy. They work with those in the photo to make sure they are perfectly posed and do their absolute best to make sure everyone is looking their best. I will absolutely recommend them to all of my friends and family!

While, Harold and Janie were friendly and flexible with scheduling, their service definitely is overpriced. I did not give them five stars and would not recommend them to anybody for several reasons.

Firstly, Harold and Janie do not listen to inputs from their customer. I had specifically told Harold that I only wanted close up shots for our engagement session, as my fiance and I already have many full body photos. Also, I do not like certain poses. As someone who also takes photos, I knew exactly what I want. I even gave him some examples. Well, as you could guess, 90% our edited photos came out to be full body photos.

There are few other minor things such as they arrived late and left early for our session. I scheduled a 45 minutes for $250 with maybe 15 edited photos. Not to mention that we spent half of the 45 minutes just driving/walking around and not taking photos. For a steep price like that, I expected them to be honest with the time.

Moreover, they are not good at bookkeeping. I paid the full amount when I booked the session with them. I asked for a receipt, but I only got a text message as a confirmation of my payment. When the edited photos were ready, Harold informed me that I still owed them half of the amount. It took a day to sort that out and for them to send the photos.

Lastly, their customer service is non-existing. When I received the photos, realizing that most of them were full body shots and that we look awkward in most of the photos, I sent Harold a text about my disappointment. He never responded.

Again, as someone who takes photo and knows how to use Photoshop, I think the price they charge for the service they give are not matching. There are better photography services in Fayetteville who charge less for the same or better service.
