Beautiful view

Mr. Jim is the kindest and friendly person I have worked with to make my dreams come true. Southwind is so breathtaking soon as you drive up. I can’t wait to marry my bestfriend there April 11, 2020 at 5 pm

Southwind is absolutely beautiful! You have so many options for any layout with the pavilion, front patio, side patio, and interior of the barn to choose from. The place is very well cared for and your rental fee includes tables and chairs for 150 people. You can also rent other items, such as pews, white linens, farm tables, gas heaters, etc., but definitely price check because his rentals aren't always the cheapest nearby.

I did not like that Jim's father would hang around the venue, especially the day of the wedding. He is a very kind old man, but the weekend of a wedding is no time for small talk. He was a distraction to my people who were trying to set up the night before and the day of the wedding. I had a few guests complain that they got stuck in a conversation with him for a good while when they wanted to visit family and friends, not a stranger (that IS a major aspect of a wedding, after all). We were also trying to have a very green wedding, so we had recycle bins set up. And this old man was taking empty, recyclable beer cans FROM the recycle bins and throwing them in the trash.

Besides the older gentleman, everything with the venue went great! I would still use this venue again but just be wary of the possible distraction. And maybe use a large recycle bin so no one can remove recyclables.
