Who are we? We are John and Serenity, a husband and wife team based in Talbott, TN (a small town outside of Knoxville). I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. I lived in Branson, MO for a little while before deciding to call East Tennessee my home. I have always loved photography. As a little girl my favorite thing to do at my grandparent's house was looking through their old photo albums. So many moments that happened before my life time that I was able to see and the emotion I could feel from looking at them and hearing the stories was just such an amazing thing to me. My husband John moved here from Burton Upon Trent, England in 2008. As soon as we met in 2008 we instantly shared this amazing love for photography. I have been published on multiple occasions but in 2011 we were blessed to share a cover for WINK Magazine. "The Top 10 Places to Visit in East Tennessee". Exploring the Great Smoky Mountains and all there is to do in this beautiful area we call home.

Having our family and friends spread out from here to England as well as our sweet miracle son we truly understand how quickly these precious moments pass by and how important it is to capture them so that we may treasure and enjoy them for a lifetime. When working with you we place focus on getting to know you, your personalities and your love story so that we may capture it in the best way for you to treasure it. We want you to look back at your photos and truly remember how you felt. All of the emotions of these precious moments. We photographed a wedding and learned that she always wore mismatched socks. Quirky as that seemed he fell in love with her so on their wedding day of course she was wearing mismatched socks! He fell in love with the girl with the mismatched socks to form the most perfectly matched pair. We truly do love learning these things about you and helping to make your memories of your day as special as can be.

How do we handle your big day? We are both very down to earth. We are easy to get a long with and work to capture your day without getting in the way. What happened when it started pouring rain the moment the preacher started to speak? We just went with it! Life happens, mother nature does not always cooperate, people are late and even with the best nap our little ones do not always behave. it is OK! We want your day to be as stress free and enjoyable as possible. I am the same way in the studio. Photographing newborns and children can require a good bit of patience as things don't always go as planned. I let them settle and if they don't, no worries, we find a way to get the photos and when we are all finished I take time to chat with them more and give your newborns one more snuggle. In getting to know the families we work with we are very blessed to now call many of our clients our Friends.
