Jair Edwards of Simply Sweet Sensations made my daughter’s wedding vision come true.
The bride wanted individual mini cakes for each guest. If you have ever tried to find these, only about 50% of bakeries will even consider it. As we tried cake after cake, they all seemed a little dry and a little bit lacking in taste.
Until we tried Simply Sweet Sensations. We had actually put down a deposit with another well-known cake store but cancelled as soon as we tried Jair’s cakes.
Jair personally brought out a sample pack of cake flavors for us to try and the were all so, so good. It was hard to narrow down to three. We ended up with Vanilla, Lemon and Chocolate. The cake is extraordinarily moist and the flavors! To die for. You need to try Simply Sweet Sensations to really believe how good this cake is.
Jair spent a lot of time with me by email (we live in KC, wedding in STL) discussing how to top these mini cakes. The lemon and chocolate were easy but my daughter really wanted fresh figs for the white cake. Jair gave us some option in case figs were not available at the time of the wedding but at the last minute was able to obtain the last figs at the store.
These individual cakes were beautiful. She also did a 6” cutting cake for the top of the tiered cake stand. Her pricing is very reasonable.
We received so many compliments on the cake with many exclaiming that it was the best cake they had ever had. I couldn’t agree more.

Omg everything was amazing. The cake was exactly what I envisioned.

We loved our entire experience, and the kids came out beautiful, and was ready for us before our reception began. We were pleased, and will go to her again if we needed a cake for a special occasion.

My wedding was a little over a month ago and we are still talking about my wedding cake lol!!! Jair was amazing with creating the vision I had for my wedding cake. My cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! I changed my mind about the design plenty of times but I was always met with patience and even more ideas to help me come to a decision and execute what I wanted perfectly. I would highly recommend!

Jair is top notch. Amazing to work with. Answered every single one of my questions, and there were A LOT. She was patient, explained everything to me as many times as I needed it. I never worried about the cake once the order was placed, I knew I was in great hands. The cake exceeded all expectations in every way. The bride was blown away when she say the cake. The taste was incredible. We had Vanilla, Chocolate, and some of the vanilla had lemon curd. The chocolate was absolutely chocolately. Best I have ever had and I have had a lot of cake. Cake is my favorite dessert. The lemon curd is tart and smooth and exactly what you would want a lemon curd to be. The vanilla. Incredible. Sweet but not too sweet. There are no words for how amazing this cake was. The buttercream. Devine, Absolutely Devine. Smooth, buttery, the right amout of sweet to not be too sweet. The 2 overwhelming comments regarding the cake from the guests at my daughters wedding were "this cake tastes amazing" and "THIS is the size a piece of wedding cake should be". I will post pictures when I have them back from the photographer. I didn't get many, I was busy being the mother of the bride and eating cake :)

She was just amazing, from start to finish. She personally dropped off a test cake to make sure we loved the flavors, which were delicious, listened every step of the way as I sent over probably 40 pictures and managed to put together EXACTLY what I wanted! This cake was GORGEOUS!! I totally messed up the time of the ceremony and she was so gracious in moving the time up for me, she even helped me plan out times so I could coordinate with the photographer! She came early to the venue to decorate so I could use my leftover flowers from the ceremony, and she's just the sweetest, kindest person you'll ever meet. I literally CANNOT recommend her ENOUGH, she's amazing!!!

Provided pictures to owner of what I envisioned for cake and cookies and she delivered!!!! Owner is very talented and creative!!! Everything looked so nice didn't want to eat them!! Loved everything!

Jair delivered and setup a perfect cake to our son's 1990 theme wedding, which was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. She delivered and setup in a very timely manner. Our guests were amazed at the details of the cake. She is definitely our go to person for "that" cake, period!
