Sierra Entertainment was a wonderful and affordable choice, we had the string trio and it was beautiful! They were also able to make a (literally) last minute accommodation and played a little longer after the ceremony to entertain people during appetizers. They also have music samples on the website and a list of songs to choose from since we had no idea what to do. They have played in Yosemite many times so they are very familiar with the venue and outdoor setups and were able to find their way without our help.

John and his wife Paola were awesome. He played guitar at our ceremony and for part of our reception, and she sang. My husband is very into Bossa Nova music, so John and Paola worked with us to fit some of the traditional wedding songs to that style. They were so professional, very nice, and most importantly, very talented musicians!

The musicians were talented as you might expect and they were able to play all the songs we requested and adapt them to the necessary lengths of time. However, they camped themselves (or allowed themselves to be placed) at the front of the room next to where all the action was so that their playing drowned out what the mic-less minister was saying anytime they played while she was speaking. On the day of we were in cell contact and communication was pretty good (despite bad cell service). However, leading up to the big day, overall communication was snail slow with emails taking weeks to be returned. When we flashed them more money to stick around and play for part of our reception they were quite flexible as one might expect. They're not terribly over valued, especially considering the limited selection in the area, but they weren't exactly good enough or discounted enough to warrant a tip.
